My Wife, So Fierce! - Chapter 61
During the movement, Zheng Yao’s hand inevitably brushed against a certain area.
Startled, she quickly withdrew her hand.
The next moment, Shen Baiyi pushed herself up from the floor with both hands.
Zheng Yao froze.
This movement from Shen Baiyi made it unavoidable for Zheng Yao, standing beside her, to catch a glimpse of the scenery in front of Shen Baiyi.
The area had been rubbed red, looking particularly pitiful.
Soon, Shen Baiyi’s arms wrapped around that spot, covering most of it.
Realizing she had been staring at that private area for so long, Zheng Yao was shocked, her face instantly burning hot.
She lifted her gaze and met Shen Baiyi’s shy, embarrassed eyes, making the heat in her cheeks intensify even more.
Trying to cover her embarrassment, she stood up, took the bath towel nearby, and draped it over Shen Baiyi before reaching out a hand to her. “Let’s get up first.”
Hearing this, Shen Baiyi’s eyelashes fluttered slightly.
She carefully took her sister’s hand and stood up.
This fall had been quite harsh on Shen Baiyi. Besides the peach-like area Zheng Yao had inadvertently seen, her knees and chin were bruised purple and even scraped, breaking the skin.
At times like this, it was a relief that Shen Baiyi had brought a first aid kit.
Zheng Yao took out the iodine and cotton swabs, half-kneeling in front of Shen Baiyi. She said quickly, “Let me treat your wounds first. Can you still move your arms and legs?”
Shen Baiyi moved slightly, testing her joints, and nodded. “Yes.”
Her movements were a bit too broad, and from Zheng Yao’s angle, it was easy to see the hidden garden beneath the bath towel.
As if scalded, Zheng Yao quickly averted her gaze, the flush on her face growing deeper.
Unable to help it, she coughed dryly, forcing herself to refocus. Lowering her eyes, she hurriedly began treating the wounds on Shen Baiyi’s knees.
The room was too quiet, so Zheng Yao asked proactively, “Did you hit your head?”
“No,” Shen Baiyi mumbled. Holding the bath towel with one hand, she touched her chin with the other, instantly wincing in pain as she made contact. Her eyes welled up with tears. “My chin hurts.”
Hearing this, Zheng Yao stood up and, carefully avoiding the bruised area on the chin, gently lifted Shen Baiyi’s chin.
Besides the purple bruise, there was a small cut on her chin, with beads of blood oozing out.
“You need to go to the hospital for stitches,” Zheng Yao said, frowning deeply.
“Why go to the hospital for stitches?” Shen Baiyi asked, puzzled. “Sister, you can handle it. It shouldn’t be that serious, right?”
“Although the cut isn’t deep, if it’s not treated properly, it might leave a scar.” The thought of Shen Baiyi possibly having a scar on her face made Zheng Yao feel stifled and uneasy.
“It’s fine,” Shen Baiyi lifted her chin slightly. “Sister, you can take care of it for me.”
Seeing her insistence, Zheng Yao had no choice but to lean closer and examine the wound again. It really wasn’t deep just a surface scrape.
She breathed a sigh of relief and slowly began cleaning the wound. The sensation was unpleasant, and hearing Shen Baiyi’s sharp intakes of breath, she comforted her, “Bear with it a little longer. It’ll be over soon.”
As she spoke, she couldn’t help but sigh. “What was the rush earlier?”
Recalling the earlier commotion, she now realized that Shen Baiyi might have fallen because she was in a hurry to open the door after Zheng Yao knocked.
Shen Baiyi stayed silent, hanging her head like a pitiful little puppy.
Zheng Yao couldn’t bring herself to scold her, so she just soothingly patted her head. “Be more careful next time, okay? Seeing you like this breaks my heart.”
She was already not fully recovered from her illness, and now she was injured she looked even more pitiful.
But she never expected that as soon as she finished speaking, Shen Baiyi threw herself into her arms.
The towel had probably come loose, and through the thin fabric, she could clearly feel Shen Baiyi’s body warmth and softness.
“You’re so good to me, sis.”
Shen Baiyi’s soft sigh whispered in her ear.
Zheng Yao silently listened to her own increasingly loud heartbeat.
Thump, thump, thump!
Beat after beat, so strong and powerful that she almost thought her heart was about to burst through her chest, as if offering itself like a treasure to Shen Baiyi.
This is wrong.
She warned herself inwardly.
“I love you the most, sis.”
Reason instantly crumbled.
Unable to resist, Zheng Yao hugged her back, her voice barely audible: “Shen Baiyi, I love you the most too.”
As she leaned her head over Shen Baiyi’s shoulder, about to rest it there, her gaze lowered and caught sight of Shen Baiyi’s full buttocks behind her.
There were even two shallow dimples at the small of Shen Baiyi’s back.
Her eyes uncontrollably fixed on them.
The two small dimples were exceptionally cute, tempting one to reach out and poke them.
But she couldn’t.
Taking a deep breath, Zheng Yao released Shen Baiyi, averted her eyes, and pulled up the towel to wrap her up again.
“Hiss!”
During the movement, she must have accidentally touched her, and seeing her gasp in pain, Zheng Yao grew anxious: “Did I hurt you?”
The injured spot was too awkward, so she looked away: “Check if it’s serious there, whether it affects your breathing, or if we need to go to the hospital for an X-ray?”
“I don’t know either.” Shen Baiyi shook her head, her face burning fiercely. “Maybe it got scraped a little by accident.”
Zheng Yao remembered that the area seemed to be red all over and couldn’t help feeling concerned: “Are you sure it’s okay?”
Shen Baiyi seemed stumped by the question and hesitated: “I don’t know.”
Then she looked at her pleadingly: “Sis, can you check for me?”
With a rush, Zheng Yao’s mind went blank: “What?”
“Sis, please check for me. I don’t know if it’s serious, but it really hurts.” As she spoke, Shen Baiyi lowered her head, her face already completely flushed. She clenched her fists, trying hard to entice her, “Sis, please check for me, okay?”
Zheng Yao was speechless.
Such a private area was she supposed to look?
“Isn’t that inappropriate?” Her voice trembled uncontrollably.
Shen Baiyi blinked: “What’s the big deal? Sis, I’ve seen yours too.”
Zheng Yao froze again.
But Shen Baiyi continued, reminding her of that memory: “That time you got drunk, I was the one who bathed you.”
“Or are you shy, sis?” Shen Baiyi said, a hint of a smile playing at the corners of her eyes.
Zheng Yao immediately denied it: “Of course not!”
With that, she took a deep breath, reached out to lift the towel, and forced herself to stay calm: “Then let me check for you.”
Shen Baiyi’s hands, hanging at her sides, tightened their grip on the bedsheet.
As the towel was lifted, the fair skin beneath was revealed.
Zheng Yao’s breathing involuntarily softened. Shen Baiyi’s seemed completely different from hers.
Delicate and firm, like two steamed buns, standing pitifully erect in the middle from having just scraped against the ground.
This was the first time she had ever looked so closely at this part of another woman’s body. Before this, she had always thought all women’s chests were the same.
Only now did she realize how mistaken she had been.
For the first time, she thought how could someone’s chest be so adorable, whether in shape or size.
There was no serious injury there, only a small reddened mark that didn’t look like an abrasion, but rather resembled traces left behind from being roughly handled.
Her body seemed to have undergone some indescribable changes as well.
Zheng Yao awkwardly lowered her head and was about to stand up when Shen Baiyi suddenly grasped her wrist.
“Sister,” Shen Baiyi said softly, “what’s wrong?”
Zheng Yao fell silent, how could she possibly say she’d become aroused from seeing her body?
Flustered, she turned her head away: “It’s nothing.”
“That’s good, I didn’t think there would be anything wrong either.” Shen Baiyi looked down as she spoke. “Sister, I just wasted my shower.”
Hearing the implication in her words, Zheng Yao frowned. She took a deep breath: “You still want to bathe?”
The medicine has already been applied.
“Just a wipe-down? Can I just do a simple wipe-down?” Shen Baiyi asked helplessly.
If it’s just wiping, that might be acceptable.
“Wait here.”
With Shen Baiyi’s knee injured like this, Zheng Yao didn’t let her move around. She went to the bathroom herself to fill a bucket with water, then bent over to wet and wring out a towel before handing it to her.
The room was so small that Shen Baiyi didn’t bother covering her chest with a towel anymore, allowing Zheng Yao to accidentally catch glimpses of that spring scenery. After handing over the towel, Zheng Yao averted her gaze and quietly waited for Shen Baiyi to finish wiping.
The rustling sounds made Zheng Yao exert tremendous willpower to suppress her imagination of how Shen Baiyi might be wiping her body.
Otherwise it would feel too lewd.
But the sounds were too suggestive, so Zheng Yao simply turned toward the suitcase to fetch Shen Baiyi’s change of clothes. Considering Shen Baiyi’s injured knee, she picked out a nightgown.
Although Shen Baiyi’s abrasions weren’t severe, it wasn’t advisable to wear tight clothing. Through the thin fabric, her chest appeared particularly conspicuous.
Zheng Yao tried hard to ignore it when someone knocked at the door. She handed Shen Baiyi the thermometer: “Take your temperature first.”
After all this commotion, she wondered if Shen Baiyi was feeling better.
It was a delivery person at the door.
Zheng Yao had ordered fried rice noodles and eggplant noodles. Placing the food on the table, she unpacked everything, instantly filling the room with delicious aromas that made her mouth water.
After five minutes, Shen Baiyi’s temperature hadn’t spiked, so Zheng Yao felt relieved and pushed the eggplant noodles toward her: “You eat this.”
Shen Baiyi had no objections and ate obediently.
But before long, she couldn’t help glancing at the fried rice noodles in her sister’s bowl.
She wasn’t particularly interested in such noodles, but watching her sister enjoy them so much made her want to test whether she could take things a step further.
Shen Baiyi’s gaze was undisguised. Zheng Yao turned: “Why are you looking at me?”
Before Shen Baiyi could respond, she suddenly understood: “You want to try the fried noodles?”
Seeing Shen Baiyi nod, Zheng Yao hesitated for a moment before pushing her fried noodles toward her: “Then have some.”
Shen Baiyi’s eyes widened in pleasant surprise. She shyly pushed her own eggplant noodles toward her sister: “Then would sister like to try mine?”
Zheng Yao rarely ate food others had already eaten.
But refusing now might make Shen Baiyi overthink things. Besides, the eggplant noodles did look quite delicious trying them might be acceptable. After all, they’d already kissed, so sharing food didn’t seem like such a big deal.
Zheng Yao nodded: “Okay.”
From springy rice noodles to chewy wheat noodles, Zheng Yao couldn’t quite describe what she was feeling, but she could confirm it wasn’t unpleasant.
The two quickly finished their dinner, and Zheng Yao quietly cleared the table. Suddenly, Shen Baiyi’s hand pressed against her lips.
Zheng Yao froze.
Shen Baiyi’s finger gently wiped her lips, then she smiled: “Sister, you had something on your mouth.”
Before Shen Baiyi could withdraw her hand, Zheng Yao grabbed her wrist, preventing her from pulling away.
“Sister?”
Shen Baiyi widened her eyes.
Zheng Yao’s heart raced like thunder, but she carefully studied the expression on Shen Baiyi’s face. Her gaze darkened, and after a moment of silence, she released the grip: “It’s nothing.”
Was it really nothing?
Feeling her sister’s gaze upon her, Shen Baiyi grew excited.
Perhaps tonight, she could take things a step further.
