My Wife, So Fierce! - Chapter 53
Zheng Yao felt as if she were sitting on pins and needles. Fortunately, luck was on her side for the first few rounds, keeping her safe. But watching others perform those acts made her scalp tingle with discomfort.
The people here seemed remarkably uninhibited.
Even when randomly paired for a French kiss, they would boldly embrace and engage in passionate kissing amid the crowd’s cheers.
Two strangers doing such things under the watchful eyes of so many Zheng Yao found it hard to accept.
Yet everyone here appeared to take it in stride, even Zhi Zhi and the others around her were joining in the commotion.
It was Zhi Zhi who noticed her unease and leaned in to whisper, “If you’re not comfortable, Teacher Guan, we can leave after this round. I can’t really stay much longer either.”
“Okay,” Zheng Yao sighed in relief.
But unexpectedly, her luck took a sharp turn for the worse.
Unfortunately, the next person called up was her, and this time the challenge was to grope each other’s chests.
The other person called was a sexy woman in a bikini. When their eyes met, the woman immediately whistled, grinning cheekily.
It felt as if all eyes were fixed on her chest. Zheng Yao’s eyelid twitched, and without hesitation, she picked up a glass of alcohol. “I’ll drink.”
The bar instantly erupted in boos.
By the time Zheng Yao finished drinking, before she could even speak, the game had already moved on.
Her luck remained terrible, the next round called her up again, this time demanding a five-minute French kiss.
“Hey, pretty lady, you can’t just drink your way out of this one!” someone heckled.
Zheng Yao’s expression remained unchanged as she replied calmly, “Is there a rule against it?”
Of course, there wasn’t.
Zheng Yao coolly downed the drink, this time more quickly. As soon as she finished, she stood up and turned to Zhi Zhi. “Are you coming?”
Zheng Yao was taken aback but immediately stood up as well. “Yes, let’s go.”
Ni Sha tugged at Zhi Zhi unhappily. “What are you doing? We just got here.”
She then glanced at Zheng Yao. “Don’t be a poor sport. We’re all here to have fun.”
“Of course, I’m not as experienced as Teacher Ni Sha. But do your fans know you’re this wild?” Zheng Yao asked coolly, a dangerous glint in her beautiful eyes.
If she remembered correctly, Ni Sha often livestreamed with her face showing, casually addressing strangers as “sisters” and “brothers.” Not long ago, she had even claimed to have been single for years, never having had her first kiss, and lamented about needing to film intimate scenes earning an outpouring of sympathy from her fans.
But just moments ago, when Ni Sha was passionately kissing someone else, her moves were as skilled as they come.
And yet, she still maintained her innocent, pure persona in the industry.
Ni Sha’s face froze.
Zheng Yao had no time to entertain her and pulled the still-stunned Zhi Zhi away.
“Teacher Guan…” Zhi Zhi sounded frightened. “You’re not really going to post about this on Weibo, are you?”
Guan Mu had a large fanbase. If this were exposed, the fallout would be unimaginable.
“I’m not that bored. She’s being this reckless sooner or later, she’ll crash and burn,” Zheng Yao said, fishing her car keys out of her bag. “Can you drive?”
Zhi Zhi shook her head. “No.”
Zheng Yao fell silent.
Her gaze fixed on Zhi Zhi.
Feeling guilty under her stare, Zhi Zhi coughed dryly and quickly offered, “I’ll find you a designated driver.”
“No need, I can find one myself,” Zheng Yao said, feeling a headache coming on. “Are you heading home, or what?”
“Let’s go home.” Zhizhi scratched her head somewhat sheepishly. “I’ve really broadened my horizons today, I don’t dare go out running around anymore.”
She had actually just wanted to see what a lesbian bar was like, but she hadn’t expected Mudshark to take her to such an open-minded establishment. It had frightened her quite a bit.
“Then I’ll call a car to take you home,” Zheng Yao said, opening the ride-hailing app. “Where do you live?”
She had been drinking. Though she seemed fine now, her feet actually felt somewhat unsteady, and she was holding herself together purely through sheer willpower.
“No need, I can hail a cab myself.” Zhizhi shook her head, an apologetic look on her face. “I’m really sorry, Teacher Guan. The bar’s name sounded quite fresh and artsy, I thought it would be one of those quiet bars. I never expected it to be so chaotic. Next time, I’ll visit a few more bars and find you a proper, normal quiet bar to review.”
Hearing this, Zheng Yao didn’t insist. She only called a designated driver for herself and said to Zhizhi, “It’s fine.”
She had originally considered advising Zhizhi to hang out less with Mudshark and her crowd, but then it occurred to her that she and Zhizhi weren’t actually that close. They were both CVs maybe Zhizhi was closer with Mudshark and the others. So she swallowed her words and kept them to herself.
Better to avoid unnecessary trouble.
The designated driver arrived quickly, and the two soon parted ways.
Only after getting into the car did Zheng Yao let out a sigh of relief. But recalling everything that had happened that evening, she couldn’t help but frown.
She had thought she was already “bent,” but now she realized she might not be as thoroughly bent as she’d believed. Watching those people kissing passionately, she actually felt somewhat repulsed.
Just the thought of possibly kissing someone like that made her uncomfortable.
It all felt strange and awkward, leaving her utterly ill at ease.
Strangely enough, when she and Shen Baiyi had actually kissed, she hadn’t felt this uneasy.
Maybe the setting had been too intense.
Zheng Yao rubbed her temples. Throwing her into such an extreme environment right off the bat, she just couldn’t handle it.
But speaking of intensity, what she’d witnessed tonight wasn’t even as extreme as what she and Shen Baiyi had watched in that movie. So why had she reacted so strongly?
The more she thought about it, the more confused she became, and the more confused she grew, the more her head ached.
She leaned back in her seat and remained like that until the designated driver dropped her off downstairs and left. Only then did she manage to calm down a little.
Whatever, why was she in such a rush?
She’d just take things one step at a time.
With that thought, she opened the car door and got out. Her legs were genuinely weak, and her head spun with every step. The alcohol she’d drunk tonight had been strong she’d had two glasses in a row, so it was no wonder she felt dizzy.
Fortunately, she still recognized the way. Staggering to her doorstep, she found she couldn’t quite remember the passcode.
She tried several times, but each attempt resulted in an incorrect password error.
Just as the system was about to trigger an automatic alarm, the door suddenly opened from the inside.
Zheng Yao had been leaning her full weight against the door. As it swung open, she lost her balance and stumbled forward uncontrollably.
A sense of weightlessness seized her, and she let out a short cry. Just as panic set in, the next moment, she was caught in a tight embrace, preventing her from actually falling.
“Sister?”
Shen Baiyi’s voice came from above. Zheng Yao relaxed completely, not rushing to stand up. Leaning against the other person, she responded weakly, “Mm.”
The door closed behind them.
Feeling Shen Baiyi’s hands gripping her waist, Zheng Yao squirmed slightly. “That tickles.”
The top she was wearing today was cropped, revealing her slender waist, and she could clearly feel the heat of Shen Baiyi’s palms.
With a hint of complaint, she pushed lightly. “You’re so warm.”
Like a furnace.
But her push didn’t create any distance.
“Why did you drink so much, sister?” Shen Baiyi frowned deeply upon smelling the alcohol, sensing Zheng Yao’s resistance, she loosened her grip slightly but couldn’t bring herself to let go completely.
“With friends.”
Zheng Yao replied dismissively.
She disliked others questioning her whereabouts, as if she had to report her every move.
All she wanted now was to take a quick shower, so she struggled again: “Let go, I need to bathe.”
But Shen Baiyi still didn’t release her, instead asking: “Are you drunk, sister?”
What kind of question was that?
Zheng Yao straightened her back: “How could I be?”
Her head was just a bit dizzy, that’s all.
“Oh, alright.”
Shen Baiyi immediately took a step back after speaking.
The movement was too sudden – Zheng Yao couldn’t maintain her balance. As Shen Baiyi stepped back, she uncontrollably stumbled forward.
This time she reacted faster, immediately reaching out to grab Shen Baiyi. After barely stabilizing herself, she glared at her angrily: “What are you doing!”
She almost fell!
“Does sister need me to support you?”
Shen Baiyi’s tone was meaningful.
“Obviously?!” Zheng Yao tightened her grip on Shen Baiyi’s arm, afraid she might step back again. She said reluctantly, “Can’t you see your sister can’t stand steadily?”
Shen Baiyi made a sound of understanding and immediately said: “Sister can’t even stand steadily now? Then let me carry you over, so you don’t fall.”
Without waiting for Zheng Yao to react, she lifted her by the waist.
The sudden weightlessness startled Zheng Yao greatly. Instinctively wrapping her arms around Shen Baiyi’s neck, she gasped sharply, the drunkenness fading somewhat from the fright: “Are you crazy? Aren’t you going to break your back? Put me down!”
“Sister, I’m quite strong.”
Saying this, Shen Baiyi stood firmly in place, even bouncing the person in her arms a few times to demonstrate her strength.
Zheng Yao cried out in alarm a few more times, slapping her angrily: “Stop scaring me!”
Her courage was truly too small.
Shen Baiyi sighed meaningfully, but seeing how her sister obediently held her neck and curled up in her embrace, she became happy again, unable to suppress the corners of her mouth. She nodded: “I won’t scare sister, don’t be afraid.”
With that, she lifted her foot and walked toward the sofa.
This was her first time holding her sister, so she intentionally didn’t walk too fast, carefully savoring the feeling of her sister relying on her.
She loved it so much, wishing she could remain in this moment forever.
Unfortunately, the distance from the entryway to the sofa was truly too short. Although she deliberately slowed her pace, she eventually reached the sofa.
She bent down, carefully setting her sister down.
Unexpectedly, her sister forgot to release her neck. Caught off guard, she was pulled downward, their foreheads colliding.
With a thud, Shen Baiyi saw stars from the pain.
Before she could react, the arms wrapped around her neck suddenly shifted, changing to grip her chin.
Shen Baiyi’s breath caught.
The distance between them was too close.
Most of her body was pressed against her sister’s, with her chin still firmly held in her sister’s grasp, their breaths mingling together.
“Sister…”
She couldn’t help but speak, her voice trembling, so excited her whole body was about to shake.
“I wasn’t afraid.” Zheng Yao emphasized seriously, “Did you hear me?”
Although her head was muddled, she felt she must make Shen Baiyi understand that she wasn’t that timid – how could she be easily frightened?
“Aren’t you afraid, sister?” Shen Baiyi’s voice was faintly melancholic. “Then what if I do something else?”
What did she mean?
Zheng Yao couldn’t quite comprehend, her mind not entirely clear. The upward tilt of her face made her gaze uncontrollably fall upon Shen Baiyi’s lips.
Such a tender color.
The shape of her lips was also very beautiful, looking as if they’d be lovely to kiss.
She recalled the passionate kissing scene she’d witnessed at the bar tonight, her eyes suddenly flickering.
An inexplicable impulse surged through her body. Suddenly aware that their current position seemed somewhat inappropriate, Zheng Yao somewhat awkwardly averted her gaze and released Shen Baiyi’s hand.
She pushed against Shen Baiyi, complaining: “It’s so hot.”
Of course, she failed to move her.
Shen Baiyi’s body didn’t even sway. Zheng Yao clicked her tongue in amazement: “How are you so strong?”
As she spoke, she couldn’t resist reaching out to touch her: “Have you been working out?”
After squeezing her firm arm, she moved to pinch her waist. But the moment her hand touched Shen Baiyi’s waist, Shen Baiyi seemed ticklish as her entire body suddenly pressed down.
Their lips ultimately collided after all.
