My Upperclassman Wants me to confess my feelings - Chapter 17
Chapter 17: Acting Coquettish
The familiar touch caused the blood to rush to Xia Xiaohan’s face instantly.
Cheng Wu watched the motorcycle disappear into the distance before letting go and moving to Xia Xiaohan’s outer side. “Walk on the inside.”
“Oh.” Xia Xiaohan quietly pressed a hand over her heart. Why did her heart race every time she touched the Senior?
The two walked side by side, watching the classmates ahead talking and laughing.
The most eye-catching was Yang Xing; he could make everyone burst into laughter with just a few words, clearly having blended in perfectly with the group.
Ding Ming was more peculiar—he didn’t say a word, yet he still managed to attract the attention of others.
Cheng Wu was one of them. She said with a smile, “That Ding Ming in your class doesn’t seem to like me very much.”
Recalling Ding Ming’s previous words, Xia Xiaohan didn’t quite know how to explain. She felt very put on the spot, but because of this, she forgot her nervousness.
Seeing that Xiaohan’s attention had shifted, Cheng Wu answered her own question: “Actually, I know. Ding Ming views studying as more important than anything else.”
Xia Xiaohan was completely stunned. How did the Senior know?
Looking at her dazed expression, Cheng Wu couldn’t resist tapping her forehead. “I blocked Ding Ming’s path once out of curiosity, and he confessed quite directly.”
“Senior!!!” Xia Xiaohan’s face turned red instantly. To think she was still trying to figure out how to explain for Ding Ming.
Cheng Wu took her arm. “Alright, alright! Let’s catch up!”
…
Back at the dormitory, Ning Ning and Zhao Ru hadn’t returned yet; it seemed their celebration feast would last a while longer.
Cheng Wu had drunk some alcohol, and being blown by the night breeze, she felt a bit dizzy.
Feeling that something was wrong, she went to shower immediately. However, when she came out, she felt weak all over.
Cheng Wu thought she had likely caught a cold.
Leaning one hand against the doorframe, she gathered her strength and called out: “Xiaohan!”
Inside the room, Xia Xiaohan immediately ran to the balcony. Seeing Cheng Wu’s appearance, she hurriedly reached out to support her.
To her surprise, Cheng Wu let go of her support and leaned forward, hooking both arms around Xia Xiaohan’s neck and burying her head in the crook of Xiaohan’s neck.
Heat instantly enveloped her body. Xia Xiaohan froze: Why is she so hot?
“Help me inside, I need to rest properly.” Cheng Wu’s unusually husky voice came from behind her head. The warm breath filtered through Xiaohan’s hair and spilled onto the skin of her nape, causing a wave of tremors to run through her.
Xia Xiaohan said “Okay” several times in a row. She turned and tucked herself under Cheng Wu’s arm, one hand gripping Cheng Wu’s slender white wrist, the other arm wrapping around Cheng Wu’s thin waist.
The soft skin radiated a scorching heat that surged directly into Xia Xiaohan’s palm; a vague burning sensation traveled all the way to her heart.
After helping the Senior sit down, Xia Xiaohan went out to get hot water. She poured a small cup and brought it over to Cheng Wu. “Senior, why don’t you have some water first?”
Cheng Wu was slumped on the desk. Hearing the voice, she slowly turned her head. Her hair slid down, revealing misty, half-closed watery eyes. Her fair cheeks were stained with a layer of cherry-pink, and her moist, full lips were slightly parted, exhaling wisps of heat.
The moment she saw this, Xia Xiaohan’s entire body went rigid. Everything around her seemed to turn into a void; there was only the Senior in her eyes.
Thump, thump, thump!
Her heartbeat accelerated. Xia Xiaohan only felt her throat go dry and couldn’t help but swallow.
Those moist cherry lips, at this moment, seemed to have become the answer to the Riemann Hypothesis.
A voice in her mind tempted her: Just walk over, kiss her, and you can prove the Riemann Hypothesis!
Xia Xiaohan felt her body lose control, involuntarily moving closer to the Senior.
Countless unfamiliar voices in her heart were screaming: Go to her! Kiss her! Kiss her!
Time seemed to freeze. Xia Xiaohan felt those few steps were exceptionally long—long enough to feel like several centuries had passed.
Fine beads of sweat broke out on Xia Xiaohan’s forehead, and her knuckles turned slightly white.
Setting down the water cup, she raised her hand and gently brushed aside Cheng Wu’s hair. Just as she was about to lean down.
Thud! The dormitory door was suddenly pushed open.
Startled, Xia Xiaohan jerked her hand back and immediately turned around, so panicked she didn’t dare look directly at the people entering. “Y-you guys are back?”
“Yeah.” Ning Ning was about to sit down when she suddenly noticed Xia Xiaohan’s expression was very off.
She turned and walked over, staring at Xia Xiaohan’s face. “What’s wrong with you? Why is your face so pale? And you’re covered in sweat?”
Xia Xiaohan grew more and more panicked, constantly avoiding Ning Ning’s gaze. “No, it’s nothing.”
Turning her head to catch a glimpse of the Senior with her eyes closed, she immediately stepped aside. “The Senior seems to be sick!”
“Sister Wu is sick?” Ning Ning immediately shifted her gaze, went over to feel Cheng Wu’s forehead, and was startled by the temperature. “She has a fever!”
Hearing this, Zhao Ru brought over some fever-reducing medicine. “Give her some medicine first and let her sleep. If she’s not better tomorrow, we’ll go to the infirmary.”
Xia Xiaohan picked up the water cup, but Zhao Ru said, “Give the cup to me. You support Cheng Wu; I’ll feed her the medicine.”
“Okay.” Xia Xiaohan handed the cup over. She walked stiffly behind Cheng Wu, but as she raised her hands, she didn’t know where to place them.
Ning Ning hurried her while popping the medicine out of the blister pack. “Hurry up, lift Sister Wu up.”
Xia Xiaohan gritted her teeth and gripped Cheng Wu’s shoulders. The Senior’s body temperature immediately transferred to her palms, making her heart feel chaotic once again.
Just as she straightened Cheng Wu up, the Senior leaned back, falling into Xia Xiaohan’s embrace, her forehead resting against Xiaohan’s heart.
Ning Ning tried to feed her the medicine, but Cheng Wu kept turning her head side to side, refusing to cooperate. Zhao Ru had no choice but to say to Xiaohan, “You try to persuade her.”
Xia Xiaohan nodded blankly, feeling her throat get drier and drier. She coaxed Cheng Wu in a low voice: “Senior, you have to take the medicine. You’ll only get better if you take it.”
The Senior’s body temperature was slowly dropping, yet Xia Xiaohan felt her own temperature rising higher and higher.
Cheng Wu’s consciousness was actually quite clear. She felt Xiaohan’s trembling hands, heard her thumping heart, and noticed that Xiaohan’s body temperature was almost exceeding her own.
Whether it was because the alcohol hadn’t worn off or she was muddled by the fever, Cheng Wu suddenly tilted her head back, reached up to cup Xia Xiaohan’s face, and spoke in a coquettish manner: “You feed me…”
The smile in her eyes was built upon a thousand layers of charm, enticing Xia Xiaohan to respond involuntarily.
Cheng Wu narrowed her eyes with a smile. Taking a mile after being given an inch, she grabbed Xia Xiaohan’s hand, pinching her fingertip and pressing it against her own lips.
A jolt of electricity shot through Xiaohan’s fingertip. She wanted to pull her hand back, but her hand seemed out of control and wouldn’t move at all.
By now, Zhao Ru had seen through the fact that Cheng Wu was intentionally flirting with Xia Xiaohan.
For the sake of her being sick, Zhao Ru said apologetically to Xia Xiaohan, “Just cooperate with her for a bit. She’ll go back to normal once the illness passes.”
Xia Xiaohan didn’t even realize that her face was so red she looked more like a patient than Cheng Wu.
The anxious Ning Ning also slowly calmed down, her gaze moving back and forth between Cheng Wu and Xia Xiaohan.
The atmosphere is a bit off!
Xia Xiaohan took the medicine and brought it to Cheng Wu’s lips.
Cheng Wu opened her mouth slightly. Xia Xiaohan gently fed the medicine in. As she was withdrawing her hand halfway, Cheng Wu’s lips intentionally closed, lightly pursing around Xia Xiaohan’s fingertip.
Dazed for a moment, Xia Xiaohan withdrew her hand as if she had been electrocuted. She wanted to turn and leave, but fearing the Senior would fall, she could only endure and pretend to be calm.
Zhao Ru handed her the water cup, and Xia Xiaohan stiffly fed Cheng Wu the water.
The sound of swallowing echoed in her ears. She clearly felt sweat continuously sliding down from her forehead.
When Cheng Wu finally finished the medicine, Zhao Ru said helplessly, “Send her up to sleep.”
Xia Xiaohan climbed up first and opened the bed curtains. Once Zhao Ru and Ning Ning had helped Cheng Wu halfway up the ladder, Xiaohan grabbed Cheng Wu’s arms and pulled her up with force.
Cheng Wu used the momentum to climb up, leaning forward as she reached the top, and directly pinned Xia Xiaohan down beneath her.
