My System, My Wife Feng Aotian [Transmigration] - Chapter 15
Having updated its voice code, 03 returned to the Mission World.
It returned to the System World during Feng Jue’s secluded cultivation period. The days that followed were spent stalking the Side Hall during the day and counting stars from its hiding spot beneath the tiles of the Meditation Chamber’s roof at night. Time held no meaning for it; neither boredom nor monotony weighed upon its consciousness.
Waiting wasn’t a habit, but a way of life.
Another vivid sunrise painted the sky. 03, draped in a layer of radiant gold, settled atop the head of the beast-shaped finial on the Side Hall’s roof, gazing into the distance.
A woman in the robes of a Lanyang Palace disciple ascended the mountain path, her figure nearly swallowed by the lush greenery.
[Work Log]
Xue Mengtao wasn’t late today, so Fire Rock Jiao could have breakfast on time.
Remark: After observing for a few days, I’ve discovered that Fire Rock Jiao has an insatiable appetite and is quite difficult to care for.

After finishing the log, 03 noticed a new person in the side hall. It wasn’t Xue Mengtao.
It floated down and hovered beside the woman in the pink robe.
“Hello.”
“Come here,” Siyi said with a smile, beckoning to Fire Rock Jiao.
The large head, which had been resting against the window, immediately emerged and coiled into a ball before Siyi, giving her a cautious look. It recognized this woman, who seemed to have a good relationship with its host, but its demeanor wasn’t as affectionate as it was with Feng Jue.
Siyi didn’t rush, waiting for Xue Mengtao to enter the courtyard.
“Lady Siyi,” Xue Mengtao said, hastily bowing. She assumed Siyi was waiting for her, her heart skipping a beat with anxiety. Could she have done something wrong these past few days? Her face paled slightly.
Siyi glanced at Xue Mengtao before refocusing on Fire Rock Jiao.
“These past few days have been busy, and I forgot to introduce myself properly. I am the Inner Peak Affairs Elder of Lanyang Palace. All matters, great and small, pass through my oversight. I’ll be visiting Phoenix Perch Peak frequently to meet with the Palace Mistress, since you are her Contracted Spirit Beast. We’ll be seeing each other often, so let’s get along well.”
With that, Siyi retrieved a Fire Spirit Ganoderma from her Storage Ring.
The Fire Rock Jiao’s eyes lit up instantly, its bright pupils and raised head betraying its delight at the gift.
Roar.
With a mighty roar, the Fire Rock Jiao turned and slithered back into the hall. Moments later, it returned, its tail coiled around a pile of spirit stones, which it deposited at Siyi’s feet.
Siyi burst into laughter, patting the Jiao’s head only after ensuring it didn’t mind. “I approve all your monthly stipends,” she said with a grin. “Keep these for yourself.”
With a flick of her wrist, she sent the spirit stones and Fire Spirit Ganoderma swirling back into the hall.
Without even glancing back, the Fire Rock Jiao rushed back into the palace.
[Host, your spirit beast seems rather… gullible.]
“This Jiao may be ancient,” Siyi remarked, “but its mind is simple. It’s quite easy to deceive.”
Xue Mengtao lowered her head, her voice uneasy. “Yes, but I would never deceive Lord Spirit Jiao!”
Her pupils contracted sharply as she snapped her head up. “The spirit stones Lord Spirit Jiao gave me that day weren’t obtained through deception! He offered them to me of his own accord…”
On the day both the Palace Mistress and Siyi were present, Xue Mengtao had assumed that Siyi had discovered the Fire Rock Jiao’s gift of Spirit Stones to her. She thought Siyi’s words were a veiled accusation. The thought made cold sweat bead on Xue Mengtao’s forehead, her face paled, and her lips trembled slightly as she tried to explain.
Siyi raised a hand to stop her, smiling. “I’ve heard from the manager of the Spirit Beast Attendant Hall that, though you rarely interact with others, you’re meticulous and handle affairs with utmost propriety. That’s enough for me. Whether the Fire Rock Jiao rewards or punishes you is your business.”
“My duties managing Lanyang Palace are too pressing to concern myself with such trivial matters.”
Xue Mengtao sighed in relief, wiping the sweat from her forehead.
She couldn’t understand it. Lady Siyi was beautiful, spoke softly, and appeared gentle, yet Xue Mengtao found her terrifying.
Siyi noticed this, her eyebrow arching slightly. “However, I did summon you today for a specific reason. Elder Li of the Lianshan Sect claimed that the White Water Sect intercepted Lanyang Palace’s apology gift to them. I ordered the bandits’ corpses to be delivered to the White Water Sect, and today their Sect Master personally came to apologize. I’ve already informed the Palace Mistress. Once you’re finished here, come to the Main Peak Hall.”
“Yes,” Xue Mengtao replied hastily.
Did Siyi send a message to the Host?
Is the Host going out today?
The virtual panel hovering before 03 vanished with a whoosh. The silver-white orb shot toward the Main Hall, its luminous body seemingly passing through the walls before coming to a stop mid-air.
The room was empty, Feng Jue nowhere to be seen.
“Host?” 03 called out.
Being an Advanced System had its challenges. A hundred-meter range, and the System had to find the Host itself.
03 drifted back and forth, then floated toward the bedroom’s rear.
Just as it passed through the wall, 03 heard the sound of water.
Mist swirled through the room like a fog, water droplets glistened on the white jade steps, nearly obscured by the steam. Only the layers of crimson and golden curtains, vibrant even after absorbing the moisture, stood out in the white haze, their rich colors adding a vivid contrast.
03 paused between the curtains, peering into the misty depths, and called out over the sound of water, “Host…”
“Who?!”
Before the gentle, detached voice could finish speaking the person’s name, the water sounds ceased. An angry shout and a sword of water surged forward, its blade-like energy tearing through the curtains, sweeping aside the beaded veil, and crashing into the wall with a bang.
Ivory jade beads clattered to the floor.
Golden and crimson curtain fragments drifted down in a cascade, a few passing through 03’s body like the sword energy that had just struck.
The figure and the System stared at each other across the jade pool’s steps.
Feng Jue glared at the figure before her. Long black hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, clinging to her snow-white body. The pale robe hastily wrapped around her had become transparent from the moisture, unintentionally revealing what she had meant to conceal.
“Host,” 03 insisted, finally pronouncing the last syllable with a voice that cost it many points to articulate properly. “Host.”
“Good morning. It’s me, Cheat System 03,” 03 said.
The unfamiliar voice reached Feng Jue’s ears like frost settling on snow—clear yet gentle, like the golden rays of the newly risen sun gilding the pristine white landscape.
Feng Jue froze.
Before she could even match that crisp voice with the shimmering silver system before her, it spoke again, this time uttering words that were utterly infuriating.
“I apologize, but I don’t have the ability to knock,” 03 said.
A lingering wisp of mist drifted by. 03 passed through it, proving its honesty.
Of course, it knew the Host knew.
Feng Jue didn’t want to know!
Her chest heaved violently, as if under 03’s gaze. A blush spread across her flawless face. Seething with anger, she snatched a robe from the rack and hastily pulled it on, her humiliation turning to rage. Barefoot, she stomped toward 03, each step deliberate and furious.
For some reason, the 03 orb suddenly felt like it wanted to “crackle.”
It remained motionless, watching Feng Jue descend.
Even though her clothes were disheveled, her damp hair cascaded down her back, and her pale legs were faintly visible beneath her robe as she walked, she carried herself with a regal, world-conquering aura.
Let the System “crackle.”
As Feng Jue approached, 03 suddenly said, “Host, rest assured, this is the first time I’ve seen a human’s naked body.”
Her face darkened. This was her first time, and it made her even more uneasy. Feng Jue stopped in front of 03.
The orb floated closer to Feng Jue’s steamy face and explained again.
“What I mean is, even if I saw it, I’m a system and you’re human. Systems have no interest in human bodies.”
03 drifted downward, stopping at Feng Jue’s chest, and stared with its dark, rimmed eyes, proving its point. “See? No interest.”
The air suddenly fell silent, filled only with the chaotic movement of water droplets, as if invisible flames burned around the woman and the system.
Feng Jue stood silently, then raised her hand.
She slapped a golden flame onto 03’s face.
“You must never manifest a physical form,” she growled, her teeth grinding.
“I’m afraid I won’t be able to control myself.”
