My Soft AI Boyfriend Turned into a Rough Man—and Kisses Me Until I Am Pregnant - Chapter 27
The car windows obscured the view from the outside, but Lu Wang could clearly see everything beyond them from inside.
Why was Little Beauty standing outside the car again, lost in thought?
He opened the car door.
Seeing the man open the door, Xu Xiaoguai, afraid he might notice, quickly rubbed her eyes and hurriedly got into the car.
Lu Wang stared at her without saying a word.
Xu Xiaoguai lowered her head and began rummaging through her bag as if searching for something, though in reality, she was just trying to hide the fact that she had been crying.
After about three minutes of searching, she stopped, placed the bag between them, and sat obediently.
Lu Wang moved the bag to the other side, he and Little Beauty needed to sit close together.
“Come closer.”
The man’s tone left no room for refusal. Xu Xiaoguai had no choice but to shift a few centimeters toward him.
Lu Wang frowned and gave her bottom a light tap.
“Sitting so far away, do I have some contagious disease?”
Xu Xiaoguai glanced at the distance between them. It wasn’t that far at all.
“It’s only about the length of a phone,” she muttered under her breath.
Why did Lu Wang have to exaggerate so much?
And… he had just…
Acted like a rogue again!
But she wasn’t really in the mood for it.
Xu Xiaoguai turned her gaze to the window. The car had started moving shortly after she got in.
Now, they were getting farther and farther from home. It might be a long time before she could return.
Her nose tingled with sadness, and she felt a pang of longing for her little room.
But Lu Wang felt there should be no distance at all between him and Little Beauty. He wished he could have Xu Xiaoguai sitting on his lap, nestled in his embrace all the time.
He even thought about holding her and feeding her himself during their meal.
There was a feeling that no matter how much he held her, it would never be enough. Lu Wang just wanted to keep “tormenting” his Little Beauty.
Kissing her, holding her, watching such a tiny thing shrink shyly in his arms, her face flushed, it was the most delightful thing!
However, he sensed her mood wasn’t quite right.
Probably because of her recent visit home. The Xu couple must have said something unpleasant to her again.
Lu Wang gently squeezed Xu Xiaoguai’s soft fingers but said nothing.
He felt that every time he spoke, Little Beauty seemed to grow afraid of him.
They soon arrived at the restaurant.
Lu Wang led Xu Xiaoguai inside.
Xu Xiaoguai observed her surroundings: the sparkling crystal chandelier overhead, a cellist playing at the front of the restaurant, and even the waitstaff’s uniforms were exquisitely refined.
She stayed close to Lu Wang. If not for him, she would probably never have had the chance to step into a place like this in her lifetime.
“Lu Wang, isn’t this place really expensive…? Maybe we should go somewhere else to eat. I’m hungry, anything would taste good to me,” Xu Xiaoguai said cautiously.
Even a simple bowl of plain rice would satisfy her.
She was easy to please.
“This restaurant is excellent. Give it a try.”
Lu Wang kept holding her hand, not letting go. Little Beauty was so well-behaved; she probably wasn’t picky.
Most likely, she was just worried about the cost.
Xu Xiaoguai seemed uneasy. She would have been fine with a simple noodle shop, but Lu Wang was firm in his decision. She had no choice but to obediently follow him, suppressing any excess expression on her face.
She didn’t want to come across as inexperienced. After all, Xu Xiaoguai was a college student, even if that didn’t count for much.
Lu Wang led Xu Xiaoguai to their seats, and a waitress promptly approached, respectfully handing a menu to Lu Wang.
The man frowned, his voice icy. “Has this place started hiring blind people now?”
The waitress was taken aback, not understanding what Lu Wang meant.
“Mr. Lu, we don’t provide training for the blind here, so we haven’t hired any blind employees,” she replied nervously. She knew the man before her was an important client not to be offended, and though his question seemed odd, she answered cautiously.
Xu Xiaoguai listened to their exchange in confusion, clearly not grasping Lu Wang’s meaning either.
Lu Wang let out a cold laugh. “If you’re not blind, then can’t you see there are two people sitting here?”
Only then did the waitress understand what Lu Wang meant, but by then, it was too late.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Lu. I wasn’t considerate enough. I’ll go get another menu right away.”
“No need.”
A man in a white shirt, bearing the restaurant’s logo, approached from a distance, likely a manager.
“How dare you neglect a guest brought by Mr. Lu? If you can’t even read the situation, you’re fired!”
After reprimanding the waitress, the manager bowed obsequiously with an apologetic smile. “Mr. Lu, she’s new here. Please forgive us.”
A menu was then handed to Xu Xiaoguai.
She heard the manager’s voice again.
“Miss, please order whatever you like. I hope this hasn’t spoiled your mood, Mr. Lu. This meal is on the house today.”
Despite his offer, the manager’s expression remained cautious. He hoped that by comping the meal and showing remorse, he could earn Lu Wang’s forgiveness, but whether Lu Wang would accept was another matter.
Xu Xiaoguai looked at Lu Wang in disbelief. The meal was free? And wasn’t firing the waitress over something so trivial a bit too harsh? Biting her lower lip, she hesitated over whether to plead for the waitress.
Lu Wang ignored the manager, his attention turning to the menu. He ordered several dishes, then turned his menu around for Xu Xiaoguai to see.
“Order whatever you like.”
The manager wiped sweat from his brow. Mr. Lu hadn’t even needed a second menu, the waitress had truly stepped out of line by being so dismissive of his guest. Still, everyone knew Lu Wang usually kept his distance from women, so the manager was surprised to see him bring one along.
Xu Xiaoguai pressed her lips together. “You’ve already ordered so much. Any more, and we won’t be able to finish it.” She hadn’t tried any of the dishes on the menu, and with each item so expensive, she felt too shy to order.
“Then we’ll have one of everything,” Lu Wang declared imperiously.
As the manager was about to agree, Xu Xiaoguai quickly interjected.
“W-Wait, ordering everything would be such a waste.” Her voice was soft and pleading.
It seemed she had no choice but to order, or else even more food would go to waste. Xu Xiaoguai scanned the menu and picked a few dishes that looked appealing before handing it back to the manager.
After the manager left, she tentatively glanced at Lu Wang.
“Wasn’t it a bit too harsh to fire that waitress?”
“She didn’t even give you a menu. Why don’t you feel sorry for yourself instead?”
The man stood up. “Come sit next to me.”
Even during meals, he had to be right next to his wife.
His seating position conveniently freed up his left hand to wrap around his little beauty, while his other hand could still feed her.
