My Soft AI Boyfriend Turned into a Rough Man—and Kisses Me Until I Am Pregnant - Chapter 26
Xu Xiaoguai quickly snatched her phone back and stuffed it directly into her pocket.
The back seat of the car was spacious, and just moments ago, Xu Xiaoguai had nearly climbed onto Lu Wang’s lap. Now, Lu Wang had her sitting astride his legs. “What was that just now? Open it and let’s take a look together.”
Xu Xiaoguai averted her gaze. “It’s nothing. Besides, that’s my privacy. You can’t peek.”
Lu Wang raised an eyebrow slightly. “When did I ever peek? I was looking openly and honestly.”
Xu Xiaoguai didn’t want to argue with him about it any further. She definitely didn’t want Lu Wang to find out that her phone was filled with that kind of novel.
Besides, it wasn’t like she had done anything illegal.
When Xu Xiaoguai was a child, she often played alone. In middle school, she was introduced to novels. Back then, classmates would pass novels around in class. After finishing one, they would swap with others, so no one had to buy every book themselves.
But at that time, Xu Xiaoguai didn’t have money to buy novels. Even if someone was willing to lend her one, she had to wait until everyone else with a book had finished reading it.
So, aside from studying, Xu Xiaoguai started doing homework for others. This earned her some rewards.
By helping others with their homework, she could read novels.
Xu Xiaoguai also told herself that it was a way to reinforce her understanding of the material.
When she started college, Xu Xiaoguai got a phone. Finally, she no longer had to do others’ homework to read novels.
From then on, whenever she had free time, Xu Xiaoguai would read. It was her favorite way to relax.
The more novels she read, the more variety she encountered.
It was only one day that Xu Xiaoguai discovered there were novels with such detailed descriptions.
Curious, she clicked to read them. Some of the novels even had well-written plots. The only downside was that she had to use a browser to read them, so she added the novels to her browser’s bookshelf.
She never expected that one day Lu Wang would see them.
Xu Xiaoguai couldn’t quite describe how she felt. If she had to put it into words, she felt as if she had been stripped bare.
She didn’t even dare to meet Lu Wang’s gaze. When he asked her about the content earlier, he probably hadn’t clicked to read it, right?
As long as he hadn’t seen the content, it was fine.
After all, Lu Wang didn’t know exactly what was written.
Lu Wang noticed something: this little thing seemed to have a lot going on in her mind. Every time he asked her something, she would fall silent.
But it wasn’t just silence. Her face was a constant display of micro-expressions, probably without her even realizing it.
No doubt, she was thinking about something strange again, likely related to what he had just seen.
Her ears were red, and her face was flushed.
It was obvious she hadn’t been reading anything proper.
Lu Wang hadn’t intended to open the browser, but the icon was right there, prominently displayed, so he casually tapped it.
As a result, a “Continue Reading” prompt popped up below.
Lu Wang glanced at it. The title was at the top, and below it, something like “h” was written. At first, he didn’t understand, so he clicked on it directly.
After opening it and seeing the content, his eyes widened in shock.
There were books like this?
A slow smile spread across his lips. He quietly clicked back, pretending he hadn’t seen anything, and deliberately asked Xu Xiaoguai what it was.
Sure enough, the little beauty’s expression instantly changed.
That meant she had definitely read it.
I never expected that Little Beauty, who usually looks so sweet and soft, would read such things when she’s alone.
I like her even more now.
Lu Wang still remembered the contents of that book. If Little Beauty enjoyed that sort of thing, he could certainly take her to experience it later.
It would be great for deepening their relationship.
Lu Wang was more than happy to do it.
He made a mental note of the book title, planning to study it carefully when he got home. He would give Little Beauty a pleasant surprise.
Xu Xiaoguai had no idea what Lu Wang was thinking. She intended to quietly slip off the man’s lap.
The girl moved quickly, settling into the seat beside him before finally relaxing.
Thank goodness, thank goodness Lu Wang hadn’t pressed her about what exactly that was, or she would have been utterly embarrassed!
The car came to a stop. Xu Xiaoguai glanced outside and realized they weren’t at a restaurant but right in front of her house.
She looked at Lu Wang in surprise.
The man turned his head to face her. “It’s 8 o’clock now. You have 10 minutes to go inside and get your things, then come right back out. If you dare not come out, you won’t be going to school tomorrow.”
There was a hint of threat in Lu Wang’s tone.
He really didn’t like intimidating his Little Beauty, but this method worked.
Otherwise, this little thing might change her mind and refuse to come out again, then who would he reason with?
Xu Xiaoguai gave a soft “mm” in response and quickly got out of the car.
After unlocking the door with her key, she found her parents sitting there watching TV, seemingly quite happy, with no concern that she hadn’t returned home even after dark.
Xu Xiaoguai took a deep breath just as the Xu couple turned to look at her.
“Why are you back? Weren’t you going to stay at school?” Mr. Xu asked impatiently.
Xu Xiaoguai explained softly, “Dad, I came back to get some things.”
Mr. Xu snorted coldly. “Just a few words of criticism, and you’re moving to the school dorm. We really raised an ungrateful child.”
Xu Xiaoguai didn’t respond, steeling herself as she walked toward her room. She knew that no matter what she said, her father wouldn’t believe her, they simply didn’t care about her.
Back in her room, Xu Xiaoguai rubbed her reddened eyes. Tears fell as she packed her belongings, which weren’t much, just some everyday clothes and the books she needed for class, all fitting into one bag.
She paused at the doorway. If she left today, she would truly be staying at Lu Wang’s place.
Xu Xiaoguai was still a bit nervous about it.
But if she didn’t go out, someone as powerful as Lu Wang could easily make it impossible for her to return to school with just one word.
Xu Xiaoguai sighed and had no choice but to carry her things and walk out.
As she was about to close the front door behind her, she heard her father’s voice again from inside.
For a moment, Xu Xiaoguai fantasized that perhaps her parents wanted to remind her to take good care of herself.
Even though the possibility was slim.
The girl still held onto that hope.
“If you’re staying at school, don’t come back often to freeload meals! If you can’t come home to help out, at least save us some expenses!”
Xu Xiaoguai bit her lower lip hard, refusing to let her tears fall.
This time, she didn’t hesitate any longer and closed the door firmly behind her.
Sure enough, it was just wishful thinking on her part.
When would her parents ever care about her?
While other students’ parents would see them off to school at the beginning of the semester and show reluctance when parting, Xu Xiaoguai had to go alone on her very first day of university. She muddled through all the procedures by herself, often making mistakes due to her occasional clumsiness, with no one to guide her on what to do.
Distractedly, Xu Xiaoguai walked outside until she found herself standing in front of Lu Wang’s car.
For some reason, she felt even more wronged.
She didn’t want to always cry in front of Lu Wang, but just now, her father’s words had truly hurt her.
Her mother, from start to finish, barely paid her any attention.
In that home, she was the only one who didn’t belong.
