My Ex Told Me She’s Still In Love With Me - Chapter 34
Chapter 34: Abandon
Meng Qingwu stared at her in a daze, suddenly realizing something was “off” about Cheng Yi.
Her lips were very red, very vivid.
In the past, Cheng Yi’s lip color had always been like her personality—pale, and when pressed seriously together, they carried a hint of asceticism.
But tonight was different.
The soft allure drawn by those gorgeous red lips overrode her innate reserve. The flirtatious charm in her smile surpassed any scenery in the world.
She was the “third kind of absolute beauty.”
“Are you ready?” Cheng Yi asked softly.
Meng Qingwu looked at her blankly. “Yes.”
Cheng Yi let out a light laugh. She took Meng Qingwu’s hand and guided it to the waist of her dress, where there was a small, thin ribbon.
Pulling that thin ribbon was like toppling the first domino; the entire situation began to collapse.
She watched as the black dress on Cheng Yi loosened and slowly slid down, revealing white silk lingerie connected by a few delicate strings beneath.
Meng Qingwu’s breath hitched, her entire mind captured by the sight before her.
The tiny amount of fabric barely covered the essential areas, and all the connections relied on those few threads that looked as if they would snap with a gentle tug.
It was both beautiful and demonic.
At this stage, Cheng Yi also seemed to grow a bit embarrassed. Seeing Meng Qingwu’s lack of reaction, she couldn’t help but bite her lip and ask softly, “This gift… do you not like it?”
She looked down at this garment that could hardly be called clothes, unsure for a moment if Meng Qingwu had recognized it.
Meng Qingwu looked up and stared straight at Cheng Yi. Her red lips were partially bitten, revealing a glimpse of pearly teeth. The interlacing of red and white seemed to hide words left unsaid, causing a strong impulse to surge in Meng Qingwu’s heart.
The urge to rush forward, to crush her fiercely, to brutally seize all her nectar, and to make everything about her—from body to soul—belong solely to herself.
Meng Qingwu thought it, and she did it.
With a forceful tug of the hand Cheng Yi was holding, she pulled Cheng Yi off balance, causing her to fall directly onto her.
Seeking those glistening red lips, Meng Qingwu claimed them without hesitation, conquering her wantonly.
“Mmph—”
Cheng Yi was forced to lift her head and open her lips to endure all of Meng Qingwu’s aggression. Her jade-like face became increasingly radiant.
She was almost reaching her limit of endurance.
Meng Qingwu let her go, watching her gasp for air. Her fingertip hooked the thin string at Cheng Yi’s collarbone, her half-closed eyes turning dark. “I didn’t expect you to still have this outfit.”
This outfit was something Meng Qingwu could never forget.
Because she was the one who bought it.
…
In the sweltering heat of summer, one naturally wanted to wear something cool. When a lover wandered around in excessively revealing clothes, it was impossible to ignore.
At least, Meng Qingwu couldn’t.
She even developed other intentions.
Lying on the sofa, Meng Qingwu watched Cheng Yi wearing a tank top and shorts. Those fair, long legs were fully on display. She pursed her lips and smiled softly.
Hearing her laughter, Cheng Yi turned back and gave her a puzzled look.
“Cheng Yi, I have a gift for you!” She blinked playfully.
Seeing her charming appearance, Cheng Yi laughed and said warmly, “What gift?”
Meng Qingwu stood up, stepped forward to wrap her arms around Cheng Yi’s waist, leaned her head on her shoulder, and said in a soft, sweet voice, “It’s a secret. You’ll see when I give it to you.”
Whenever Meng Qingwu turned soft, Cheng Yi couldn’t resist. She placed her hand on Meng Qingwu’s waist and nodded with a smile.
For the next two days, the gift Meng Qingwu mentioned never appeared. Although Cheng Yi found it a bit strange, she didn’t ask.
One day, when Cheng Yi returned, she saw a package in the delivery box at the door. After looking closely, she realized it was something Meng Qingwu had bought.
She didn’t pay much attention to it, casually brought the package inside, and sent a message to Meng Qingwu. She weighed the box in her hand; it was very light and made no sound. She had no idea what was inside.
Ding—
Meng Qingwu’s reply came back.
[Qingwu]: Don’t open it yet!
Cheng Yi paused, glancing at the box on the hallway cabinet, feeling a bit curious.
[Cheng Yi]: I haven’t opened it.
She never opened Meng Qingwu’s things without permission.
[Qingwu]: I’ll be back soon!
After sending that message, Meng Qingwu quickly said goodbye to the others, stating she wouldn’t be participating in the rest of the activities. She slipped away from the department dinner.
Moving away from the group of upperclassmen, Meng Qingwu rushed back to the place where she and Cheng Yi lived at top speed. Upon entering, she saw the box on the hallway cabinet.
The smile on her face grew even brighter.
She stole a glance and heard sounds coming from the bathroom; the playful smile on her face deepened.
When Cheng Yi finished her shower and came out, she saw the pair of shoes belonging to Meng Qingwu in the hallway, but no person was in sight. She smiled softly.
She thought Meng Qingwu was playing hide-and-seek with her.
She returned to the bedroom and still didn’t see anyone, making her a bit confused. She picked up her phone to call Meng Qingwu but heard noises from the laundry room.
Walking over to look, she saw Meng Qingwu standing in front of the dryer, smiling… well, quite mischievously.
But it was very heart-stirring.
“What are you doing?” Cheng Yi stepped forward and hugged her.
Meng Qingwu was startled. She turned back to look at Cheng Yi, her face looking a bit guilty.
“Hmm?” Cheng Yi rubbed her face against hers, her smile deepening.
“Ahem—”
Meng Qingwu glanced at the dryer. Seeing that time was almost up, she quickly adjusted her expression and said somewhat pleadingly, “The gift I prepared for you has arrived.”
“Oh?” Cheng Yi raised an eyebrow, her gaze falling on the dryer. “So, the gift is inside?”
Meng Qingwu’s face flushed slightly as she tried to stay composed. “Yes, it’s inside. I’m going to shower first. When it’s done, just take it out.”
“And…” She kissed the corner of Cheng Yi’s lips and said softly, “When I come out from the shower, I want to see you wearing it.”
“Wait for me on the bed.”
Hearing this, a sense of unease surged in Cheng Yi’s heart. Watching Meng Qingwu sway gracefully toward the bathroom, that feeling of unease grew stronger.
Just then, the dryer finished its cycle.
She looked at the bathroom door and then at the dryer. Though she felt something was “wrong,” she couldn’t resist the urge to know what gift Meng Qingwu had given her.
Her hand slowly reached toward the dryer—
…
When Meng Qingwu came out, she had completely regained her composure. Humming a little tune, she walked quickly toward the bedroom.
She had envisioned opening the door to see Cheng Yi wearing the clothes she bought, lying on the bed charmingly, waiting for her return. But…
When she opened the door, all she saw were the clothes lying lonely on the huge bed. The person who was supposed to breathe life into them was nowhere to be found.
Feeling strange, she took two steps forward. Before she could see clearly, a sudden push came from behind. Unable to stand steadily, she fell directly onto the soft bed.
Following that, a warm and soft body pressed down on her.
Meng Qingwu let out a muffled groan.
The scent belonging to Cheng Yi filled her nose, causing her to drop her guard completely. Pressed into the bedding, she couldn’t help but laugh softly.
“What are you doing? You scared me.”
“Did I scare you?” Cheng Yi whispered in her ear, her warm breath brushing against the sensitive skin there, making Meng Qingwu’s waist feel a bit weak.
“You did~” Meng Qingwu groaned softly.
Cheng Yi laughed, rolled off her, and lay on her side to hold her in her arms. She leaned in and began to drop light kisses from her eyes and brows, moving down bit by bit until she reached her red lips.
“Sorry. Do you feel better now?” she whispered.
Meng Qingwu hummed and wrapped her arms around Cheng Yi’s neck.
Cheng Yi dropped an affectionate kiss on her lips, hooked the garment—which consisted of only a few pieces of fabric—with her fingertip, and raised an eyebrow. “Is this the gift you gave me?”
Meng Qingwu’s gaze flickered a bit as she nodded.
Seeing her admit it, Cheng Yi couldn’t help but find it amusing. But looking at her ears, which were already bright red, she found her both funny and cute.
“Why did you suddenly give me this gift?”
And could these even be called gifts? If she wore them, who exactly was whose gift?
“Cough, I wanted to see you wear it…” Meng Qingwu’s voice grew smaller and smaller.
Cheng Yi: “……”
Looking at her increasingly red face, Cheng Yi truly started to laugh.
It seemed her “little friend” wasn’t actually that unfazed.
“But why do I feel this would suit you better?”
Cheng Yi leaned in to look closely, even gesturing it against Meng Qingwu’s body, nodding as if to say, as I thought.
Meng Qingwu was so embarrassed by this action that her face turned crimson. She quickly grabbed the clothes back and said urgently, “What do you mean ‘suits me’? I bought this for you!”
…
Later…
Meng Qingwu looked down at Cheng Yi, whose red lips were slightly parted as she gasped.
Later, for some reason, she had been coaxed into wearing that outfit herself, letting Cheng Yi “play the piano” on her body.
Fingertips slid along the path of the thin strings. Meng Qingwu asked, “It’s been so many years, why do you still have it?”
And it had been preserved so well.
A touch of red stained the corners of Cheng Yi’s eyes, and the moisture in her gaze was like misty rain, yet her eyes insisted on looking at her through that haze.
“You wanted me to wear it. In fact, I’ve always wanted to wear it for you.”
Her breathing gradually stabilized. She lifted her leg to hook around Meng Qingwu’s waist and whispered in her ear, “It’s just that I was too shy back then. I never knew how I could put it on and stand in front of you.”
Later, she thought she would never have the chance to wear it again.
Meng Qingwu’s throat moved slightly. All her previous sleepiness vanished before this sentence.
She recalled the scene when she had worn this outfit herself, and how Cheng Yi had treated her afterward.
Extreme tenderness, bone-melting entanglement, and those soft words whispered in her ear.
And now, the roles were reversed.
Her heart began to grow increasingly hot.
Those long legs were wrapped around her waist, opening to her with extreme boldness.
Meng Qingwu suddenly felt that tonight’s Cheng Yi was exceptionally dreamlike. She said unconsciously, “You’ve become much more… wanton than before.”
Actually, whether it was tonight or many previous nights, she was more uninhibited than the Cheng Yi of the past.
It was just that tonight, she was exceptionally open.
Cheng Yi seemed to smile somewhat shyly, her legs tightening around Meng Qingwu’s waist.
“Because right now, this is the only thing I have left that you still find worth lingering for.”
“So I hope I can do a bit better, to make you a little happier.”
