- Married To My Childhood Friend: An Alpha Business Contract
- Chapter 2 - Trying to Seduce Me Again?
The clear, sweet scent of bergamot pheromones gradually faded away.
The fragile Omega curled up in the hospital bed, his strength exhausted, his breathing faint and almost imperceptible.
Lu Siyan had just endured a massive estrus cycle. The enormous consumption of energy made it impossible for him to remain conscious for long.
In his memory, the scent of camellia and cedar that had once soothed him was no longer gentle.
Driven by the primal instincts of an Alpha’s rut, the pheromones were like a tornado—swift, violent, and fierce—dominating and tightly enveloping him.
The Omega felt terrified.
“If you’re really suffering, you can smell my pheromones.”
“I can also call a doctor to take you to the emergency room.”
“Just thirty seconds.”
“Ugh… please don’t bite me.”
The faint sobbing of the adorable little Omega rang in the man’s ear.
But to an Alpha in the middle of a rut, the sound of pleading for mercy was almost indistinguishable from a plea for sex.
The Alpha clenched his teeth, the veins on his arms bulging.
The Omega’s chin was held in his palm, being rubbed with varying degrees of pressure.
Using his absolute advantage in height and physique, the Alpha pressed the Omega’s shoulders, pinning him against the wall. His chest was pressed tightly against the other’s thin shoulder blades, and his scorching, burning breath blew directly onto the Omega’s still-swollen gland.
Lu Siyan shrank his neck: “Please, I beg you.”
The Omega’s fingers clawed at the wall. His continuous, weak voice of pleading was like a small flying insect vibrating its wings, crashing against the Alpha’s ear.
Mmm… it ITCHED.
“Begging me?”
The man laughed softly.
When he spoke, his voice was desperately hoarse. He forcefully reached out to lift the little Omega’s hair, resting his forehead against the boy’s head, speaking almost directly into his ear.
“It’s… useless to beg.”
The man lowered his head and buried it in the Omega’s neck. His fangs violently pierced the gland, like biting into a cool, juicy, iced grape in the heat of summer.
“Ungh…” It hurts so much.
The shackled Omega, gripped by intense pain, began to struggle violently.
However, during the marking process, the more disobedient and restless the Omega became, the more the wound would be torn by the biting teeth.
The Alpha had no choice but to press down hard on his shoulder with his palm, pinning the Omega firmly against the wall.
Lu Siyan was completely unable to move.
He could only let the other man take what he wanted.
Suddenly awakened by a sharp pang of pain, the Omega snapped his eyes open. A wave of intense dizziness allowed him to see the plain white ceiling and the IV bag hanging precariously above him for only a second.
The smell of disinfectant was so pungent.
Is he… in a hospital right now?
The Omega was lightheaded, but the stinging, burning sensation at the back of his neck served as a constant reminder that yesterday’s experience was not a dream.
He had truly been bitten by an Alpha.
The scent of camellia and cedar still lingered. Judging by the intensity, it was likely only a temporary mark.
Thinking of that person, Lu Siyan’s face flushed slightly.
He reached up to touch the back of his neck where the gland had already been cleaned; it was now neatly covered with a scent-blocking patch.
From outside the ward door came the sound of his parents speaking quietly with the attending physician.
“The Young Master’s physical condition is a bit poor.”
“He cannot use suppressants to alleviate his estrus, and there were no suitable Alpha pheromones available to soothe him…”
“Once an Omega reaches adulthood, their estrus will only become more intense and turbulent each time.”
“But our Yanyan just turned 18. He’s never even had a boyfriend. We can’t just find any random Alpha and…”
“If you can find a suitable Alpha for him to marry during this time and perform a permanent mark, that would, of course, be best.”
“But if you truly can’t find one, your parents should consider letting him date a boyfriend first to relieve the estrus.”
Otherwise, relying on willpower alone to resist for a long time would cause great harm to the body, especially to the gland; his pheromone level might even drop because of it.
Lu Siyan had been born with a rare, hyperallergenic constitution, and the suppressants used to relieve an Omega’s estrus were no exception.
Ever since he differentiated into an Omega, he had been plagued by his estrus cycles. Without medication to help control them, every cycle felt like a life-or-death catastrophe.
“The Alpha who was bitten by our Yanyan yesterday is actually quite suitable.”
“The pheromone compatibility reaches 95%. It’s just that there was a misunderstanding during the first meeting, which was quite an offense. I don’t know if the other party is still willing.”
The doctor whispered, “That gentleman was at the Surgery Department yesterday. I heard he sustained a wrist contusion during a car race.”
“Why does he like racing?” Father Lu hesitated.
An Alpha with such a flamboyant and unrestrained personality might not be someone their Yanyan could handle.
But considering the current situation, they couldn’t afford to be picky: “Forget it, let them meet first.”
Lu Siyan unintentionally overheard that his parents were looking for the Alpha who had temporarily marked him.
Presumably, they wanted to encourage the two of them to develop a sustainable, long-term, stable relationship.
That way, he would never have to endure those grueling estrus cycles alone again.
The Omega’s face felt hot, and his heart was full of trepidation.
He didn’t feel repulsed; instead, he felt a secret sense of anticipation.
However, in the following days, none of the blind date candidates his father brought him to choose from were the Alpha from his memory.
Lu Siyan carefully flipped through the photos twice. He asked curiously, “Dad, that person… did you not find him?”
That person?
Father Lu didn’t react for a moment: “Oh, you mean…”
He looked as if he had something difficult to say, and even his hands became busy peeling an apple: “Ah, yes, yes. We couldn’t find him.”
“You know how it is, finding someone these days is very difficult.”
Father Lu told him not to overthink things. The Alphas the family had chosen for him were all excellent in terms of looks, character, and family background. Most importantly, none of them had a pheromone compatibility with him lower than 80%.
Holding the photos of these high-quality Alphas, Lu Siyan felt a vague sense of disappointment and didn’t pick anyone he liked.
Soon, it was the day of his discharge. Because Father Lu was busy with work, he only drove him to the front door and reminded him to rest well.
Lu Siyan was heading back inside with his backpack when he was blocked by Lu Shiyuan.
He tried to go left, but was blocked; he tried to go right, but was blocked again. Unable to bypass him, he slowly lifted his head.
Lu Shiyuan stood at the entrance, arms crossed, staring down at him: “I heard you bit the neck of the Eldest Young Master of the Xiao family?”
“You’ve really turned the world upside down. An A-grade Omega actually dared to bite an S-grade Alpha?”
“And of all the people you could bite, you had to bite Xiao Yanxiu.”
“Do you know how miserable you’ve made the Lu family?”
Lu Siyan said blankly: “Who is Xiao Yanxiu?”
Lu Shiyuan was nearly choked with rage: “You don’t even know Xiao Yanxiu? The crown prince of the Xiao family in the capital. He’s the Alpha you bit into a rut.”
Is it him?
Is he Xiao Yanxiu?
But if he is Xiao Yanxiu, why did Dad tell me that the Alpha couldn’t be found?
“You’re so stupid. Do you have any idea how much trouble you’ve caused?”
“You bit the eldest son of the Xiao family. Now that the Xiao family is offended, all of our Lu family’s business has been affected.”
The Xiao family is offended?
And it affected the Lu family’s business?
So, the Alpha he liked didn’t actually like being bitten by him at all?
It was only because of the rut, combined with the fact that he had approached the man himself, that the other party had no choice but to give him a temporary mark?
So the Xiao family was furious, and that’s why his Omega and Alpha fathers had been so busy these past few days?
They clearly tried so hard to find that compatible Alpha for him, only to discover he was the Eldest Young Master of the Xiao family—someone far out of their league—so they lied to him and said he couldn’t be found?
Lu Shiyuan shouted, “You’d better think long and hard about what to do. Running around everywhere during your estrus… you’re insane.”
Lu Siyan stood helplessly at the entrance. Like an Omega who had done something wrong, he was so flustered he didn’t even know where to put his hands.
He had grown up in an orphanage and was only brought back to the Lu family at the age of fourteen. His personality had always been soft, and he hadn’t made many friends over the years.
He couldn’t fit into the circles of those rich second-generation kids, so he had no way to contact Xiao Yanxiu, let alone apologize to him in person.
But the Omega didn’t give up. He quickly adjusted his mindset and tried various ways to search for information.
He even scrolled through Xiao Yanxiu’s Instagram account, discovered a license plate number hidden in a corner, and found a bar he had been frequenting lately.
Lu Siyan took action that night, rushing over with an apology gift in hand.
To his surprise, he was stopped at the door of the bar: “No minors allowed.”
The little Omega, wrapped in a white down jacket like a polar bear, argued his case: “I am an adult.”
He pulled out his ID card to prove it, but the other party still refused: “This is a members-only bar.”
“I can spend money right now. I can even sign up for a membership.”
He really had something important to do; he had to go in and find someone.
But with an Omega who looked so well-behaved and innocent, who would dare let him in?
In a membership-based bar, the guests were either rich or noble. What if this were some young master from a prominent family who had an arranged marriage?
If he went in and caused trouble, the bar might as well close down.
As Lu Siyan was stuck in a stalemate and getting surrounded—just as several security guards were pushing and shoving him—an Alpha’s voice came from behind, laced with a half-smile.
“Why are you bullying an Omega? And such a cute little one at that?”
A man walked out from the flickering neon lights. He was very tall, with a long black wool coat draped over his shoulders and a cigarette between his fingers.
He had a tall, straight posture and exquisite features. That particular teasing expression made Lu Siyan recognize him instantly.
Handsome.
Really, really handsome.
The Omega was too nervous. This sudden reunion found him completely unprepared.
He didn’t even dare to meet those playful eyes. Clutching the small box containing his gift, he abruptly turned his back.
The Alpha gave a hand signal to the security guards, who were bowing respectfully, and they all retreated.
The man leaned in: “Little guy, are you really trying to cling to me?”
Do temporary marks require full responsibility these days?
Besides, it was clearly this little Omega who bit him first, and even got a mouthful of blood.
And yet, he was the one who came looking for trouble first?
The man’s gaze swept over the other’s fair neck. Beneath the scarf that had been loosened by the scuffle, a corner of a scent-blocking patch was visible.
After a temporary mark, during the period before the mark fades, the Omega and Alpha become exceptionally sensitive to changes in each other’s pheromones.
The Alpha let out a short laugh. He lowered his voice, leaning his back down slightly to whisper in the Omega’s ear: “Your estrus isn’t over yet, and you ran all the way here.”
“What are you doing?”
“Trying to seduce me?”
