- Chapter 3 - Come and Sit Here Yourself
The Alpha tilted his head, the heat from his breath blowing against the Omega’s neck, sparking a hidden tremor.
But… what did he just say?
Se—seduce?
Lu Siyan’s eyes widened. Flustered and annoyed, he waved his hands frantically, terrified that Xiao Yanxiu might misunderstand. His fair, tender face, buried in a cashmere scarf, flushed a deep red that reached his eyes, which were now clouded with a dazed, watery mist.
In his panic, he tried to explain, but as he looked up, his gaze collided with the man’s beautiful, deep peach-blossom eyes. At that moment of contact, his heart skipped a beat. A bolt of electricity shot upward from his toes to the top of his head, frightening him so much that he whipped his body around again.
“No, no, no, I’m not… I didn’t…”
His frozen fingertips turned a pale peach-pink in the cold wind. The little Omega stammered, repeatedly pinching and tugging at the elegantly wrapped paper bag in his hands, nervous to death.
“I… I came to find you today specifically to apologize.”
“Last time at the hospital, you saved me, but I still…” Bit you back.
“As a result, it caused you…”
It caused you to enter your rut for no reason. In that chaos, a temporary marking was only natural.
“But this matter has nothing to do with my parents. Look, we each took a bite, so we’re even.”
“So, my humble request is to ask the Xiao family… if you could show mercy and let the Lu family go. Please stop pursuing us.”
However, the Xiao and Lu families could hardly be mentioned in the same breath; simply placing them together was considered an upgrade for the Lus.
“Of course, if you’re still not satisfied…”
“You can bite me back a couple of times. That’s okay, too.”
The glands at the back of his neck had never been touched by anyone else; Xiao Yanxiu was the first. The delicate skin had been pierced by sharp teeth, leaving a shocking wound that was difficult to heal in a short time, still radiating bursts of burning pain.
To be able to say such high-sounding words, he had completely forgotten the scene from a few days ago—how he had cried until he fainted in the man’s arms because he was so afraid of the pain.
And yet, here he was, practically begging to be bitten?
Xiao Yanxiu understood his words and let out a light chuckle. The man slowly straightened his back, which had been leaning slightly toward him, and the cigarette between his fingers flared to life again.
The heavy snow predicted by the weather forecast began to fall punctually from the ink-black sky. Just as the white flakes were about to drift onto his hair, a black umbrella was held over him from behind, blocking the intrusion just in time.
The man glanced back, and his security detail immediately understood, extending the umbrella further. The biased round canopy tilted mostly toward Lu Siyan, covering the little Omega completely.
Lu Siyan waited for a long while without hearing a response from behind, but he could sense that the man hadn’t left. Strands of tobacco scent drifted through the air, mixed with a faint aroma of camellia and cedar, like a special edition fragrance from a luxury brand.
Intoxicating and charming.
“Brother Xiao, where did this romantic debt come from?”
“You’ve upset such a cute little Omega that he’s blocked the door to collect?”
During this time, Lu Siyan tried to look back several times but didn’t dare. His fingertips gripped the orange paper bag so tightly he nearly poked two holes through it.
The man was patient, just waiting for him, until the group of brothers behind them—who were waiting to see the excitement—couldn’t hold back anymore. They strode forward, one of them throwing an arm around Xiao Yanxiu’s shoulder to tease him.
“Your taste changed this fast?”
“Didn’t you used to like those seductive foxes and rich roses?”
“When did you switch to this…”
Those who could associate with Xiao Yanxiu and go in and out with him were all famous scions from the capital’s top aristocratic families—the untouchable “Crown Prince Party.”
The young master teasing them sniffed the air and accurately pointed out: “A-grade Bergamot?”
And still in heat.
Lu Siyan had almost forgotten about this. Hearing it mentioned now, he turned pale with fright. The Omega’s body trembled violently, and he hurriedly tightened the scarf around his neck, tightly covering his glands.
He retreated in a panic, wanting to put some distance between them, but just as he was about to flee the protection of the black umbrella, his head was cupped from behind and he was pulled back.
Stumbling, Lu Siyan crashed into the embrace of camellia and cedar. He didn’t get hit by the snow. The scent he liked overwhelmed him, wrapping around him as warmth transferred between them. In a daze, his thoughts paused, and his brain turned into a mess of confusion.
However, he clearly heard the synchronized gasps of surprise from behind, and he was too scared to breathe. The man lightly exhaled a cloud of white smoke and explained in a low, serious voice:
“You’re in your heat cycle. If you catch a cold in the snow, do you want to die?”
The capital’s terrain was somewhat southern; snow was rare, and even when it fell, it melted upon hitting the ground. An Omega in heat was already fragile, with extreme physical and emotional fluctuations; getting sick would be a real problem.
Lu Siyan didn’t misunderstand; he recognized the man’s kindness, and a warm current flooded his body. Although he felt a sense of greed for the proximity, he secretly took a few deep breaths of the scent before politely pulling away.
Someone behind them shouted jokingly.
“Brother Xiao, that’s not fair! You’re hiding a beauty in a golden house!”
“With such a cute little sister-in-law, you can’t bear to bring him out to see the brothers?”
“Little sister-in-law, if you’re afraid he won’t behave, I’ll help you keep an eye on him in the future. You don’t need to trouble yourself to come out and check on him so late on such a cold night!”
Xiao Yanxiu seemed used to this and had no intention of explaining.
Lu Siyan’s face was beet red as he waved his hands frantically: “I… I’m not your sister-in-law.”
“Not yet?” The young masters were addicted to teasing him. “Then if you aren’t, why did you come looking for our Brother Xiao so late?”
“I… I am…” The little Omega stole a glance at the man, annoyed that he remained silent. “I came specifically to apologize.”
“To! Apolo! Gize?”
Xiao Yanxiu was not someone to be trifled with. If he truly held a grudge, Lu Siyan wouldn’t even be able to catch a glimpse of his shadow. The young masters sensed something was up: “What kind of heinous thing did you do? Tell us, and we’ll help persuade him for you.”
Re… Really?
But he didn’t know if he could mention the part about biting his neck.
Lu Siyan looked up cautiously and saw that Xiao Yanxiu also had a scent-blocking patch on the back of his neck—that was where he had caused trouble. Under normal circumstances, an Alpha wouldn’t let anyone touch their glands, let alone be bitten by someone as reckless as him.
Lu Siyan’s timid gaze flickered hesitantly. Seeing that the man didn’t intend to stop him, he thought he had permission and pointed his finger at the wound.
The “Crown Prince Party” members completely exploded: “Holy crap!”
“Holy crap!!!!”
“Brother Xiao, I was wondering why you were wearing a blocking patch today.”
“Turns out it was to hide a wound.”
“Holy crap!!!!”
To play so aggressively with such a cute little Omega… you’ve got a dark streak, man.
Xiao Yanxiu reached out two fingers in annoyance, pressing against the forehead of the brother who was leaning in closer and pushing him away. The little Omega in front of him was quite dim; he said whatever people asked him. Despite the actual “debt collector” being right there, he was actually asking others for help.
“Please, all of you, help me persuade him.”
“He seems very angry, but I really didn’t mean it.”
“This is the apology gift I prepared.”
Before Lu Siyan could finish, the gift in his hand was snatched away. The young masters saw the logo: “You really spent a fortune on this. EPO’s ‘A’ fragrance?”
The paper bag was torn open without permission. The Omega chased after them anxiously: “Wait…” That was for Xiao Yanxiu.
The man turned and followed closely, the umbrella shielding him from the snow following as well. To these young masters, high-end brands like EPO were nothing unusual; they usually received new products before anyone else. However, moving further down the line, the purchasing threshold and membership requirements were very high.
Lu Siyan couldn’t buy it himself; he wasn’t one to pursue luxury brands. Even this perfume was a gift Lu Shiyuan had “generously” given him in front of the whole family on his last birthday. Before leaving the house, he had rummaged through his belongings and finally found something presentable to use.
It was a matter of “offering borrowed flowers to Buddha,” but he also felt a bit guilty. His sincerity was mixed with a bit of pretentiousness, and he always felt it wasn’t good enough for that man.
Especially when the young master opposite him seemed to discover something and shouted again: “Holy crap, this isn’t ‘A’ fragrance, it’s ‘O’ fragrance!”
Giving an Alpha a perfume specifically for Omegas—his “sincerity” was zero. Being exposed in public like this was a total social death.
Lu Siyan lost his composure instantly, standing there at a total loss. He should have realized; he was an Omega, so if Lu Shiyuan was giving a gift, it would naturally be an “O” fragrance. How could he…
“EPO’s ‘Erotic’ series. The main note is rosemary, which has a catalytic effect on an Omega’s heat cycle.”
“What? It’s an aphrodisiac?”
Everyone roared with laughter.
“You little Omega, you look cute and pure, but your methods are quite sophisticated.”
“In order to hook our Brother Xiao, you’ll use any trick in the book.”
“It seems the apology gift today isn’t this bottle of perfume, but the owner who’s about to use it.”
The young masters’ words were heavy with implication. In that moment, thousands of eyes seemed to be projected onto him. Even though he had no such intention, it felt as though he had been stripped naked, his “dirty” thoughts of climbing the social ladder exposed for all to see.
“I… I’m not, I didn’t.”
Lu Siyan was flustered, his body trembling slightly. He jumped up, trying to snatch back the gift he had prepared. The feeling of being ridiculed in public was naturally unbearable.
Xiao Yanxiu hadn’t expected things to develop this way. The man’s brow furrowed, and just as he was about to stop them, he was a step too late.
The opened perfume was sprayed—a heavy burst—directly at the trouble-making little Omega. The intense spicy scent, even as the man moved quickly to cover his nose and mouth, found its way into his nasal cavity through the gaps between the man’s fingers.
The Omega’s back hit the Alpha’s chest, and he let out a violent sneeze from the irritation. His cheeks felt hot, becoming burning to the touch, and his vision began to blur.
Lu Siyan grabbed the man’s arm, swaying. He tried hard to focus his gaze, even in this state feeling the need to explain.
“I… I really didn’t mean that.” I came to apologize.
The effect of the catalyst was absolutely lethal for an Omega in heat. Xiao Yanxiu clearly felt the person he had pulled into his arms grow heavier, so he lifted him with more force.
The man looked forward with cold eyes: “Give it here.” His perfume.
Although the young masters were nominally in the same circle, in reality, there was a fundamental difference between them and the Xiao family. Moreover, Xiao Yanxiu didn’t usually associate closely with them; even for today’s gathering, it took countless invitations for the “ancestor” to finally show his face.
They had seen plenty of people using various means to entangle these playboys. Helping each other out, dismissing people, or covering for one another was common knowledge, but who would have thought today… they’d run into a real sister-in-law?
The young master who had started the trouble saw that Xiao Yanxiu’s mood was wrong. He hurriedly put the “O” fragrance back into the box, stuffed it back into the bag, and handed it intact to the Xiao family’s assistant.
Though embarrassed, he didn’t dare offend him. He immediately straightened his face to apologize to Lu Siyan.
“Sis… sister-in-law.”
“I’m really sorry, we were just joking.” I didn’t think you were the real deal.
EPO’s high-end fragrances cost at least six figures for the basic models, and the effects were naturally instantaneous. Lu Siyan’s consciousness began to dissipate, his fingertips trembled, and his unhealed glands began to throb. The sensation of the swelling tear was so painful he broke into a sweat.
Especially the reaction in his lower abdomen…
Xiao Yanxiu found himself mysteriously entangled by this little fellow again, and he couldn’t just throw him away. From needing to be pulled at the start, the other party was now completely proactive, wrapping around his neck and constantly sniffing at the glands on the back of his neck.
He couldn’t pull him away no matter what.
He had no choice but to instruct his people to call the hospital and arrange a room immediately. He allowed the little Omega to behave willfully and lawlessly against him, then bent down to pick him up horizontally and walked toward the Bugatti parked by the roadside.
Even the simple act of putting someone in the passenger seat and buckling them in took a full five minutes. As he leaned into the car to fasten the seatbelt, their pheromones and deep breaths became uncontrollably and tightly intertwined.
Lu Siyan liked this narrow space where Xiao Yanxiu leaned over, close to him and with nowhere to run. During this time, the man could only let himself be hugged, rubbed against, and repeatedly sniffed while remaining helpless—as if he were his personal Alpha, and his alone.
“Xiao Yanxiu, Xiao Yanxiu…”
The little Omega’s suppressed voice revealed a hint of unbearable pain as he murmured the name. The man was being driven crazy by the tossing and turning; he wished he could just tie the boy’s flailing limbs together. Since he was a child, no one except his elders had dared to call him by his full name like this. This little fellow had quite the nerve.
Once he finally got the “ancestor” settled and sat in the driver’s seat, the passenger seatbelt was restlessly tugged open again. Lu Siyan felt hot; the scarf around his neck was removed, and the blocking patch had lost its stickiness due to heavy sweating, flipping halfway open.
The pheromones grew increasingly intense, accumulating inside the car with no way to dissipate. The man sighed helplessly; this wasn’t easy for him either. He opened the window to take a few deep breaths of fresh air, then leaned over again, trying to fasten the seatbelt for him.
To his surprise, as soon as he got close, his neck was hugged tightly. A fuzzy little head rubbed back and forth in the crook of his neck, making his own back break into a sweat.
Xiao Yanxiu unexpectedly noticed a large patch of fine red rash appearing on the fair skin near Lu Siyan’s blocking patch. He suddenly remembered hearing a doctor say at the hospital a few days ago that the boy had an easily allergic constitution. During his heat cycle, he couldn’t even use inhibitors and had to endure it purely through willpower.
The man stared at those tearful eyes, unsure if the boy could see him clearly, and asked: “Do you know who I am?”
Lu Siyan answered quickly: “Xiao Yanxiu…”
Good, he was still conscious, though not by much.
The Alpha laughed: “Not bad.” He can recognize people, but I need to confirm one more thing.
He heartlessly pulled away the Omega’s arms that were hugging him, sat back in the driver’s seat, and cast a light glance over: “Do you want me to give you a temporary mark?”
The Omega was about to cry: “Help me, help me.”
Lu Siyan couldn’t hold on, twisting and turning like a little snake.
The man’s lips pursed slightly as he thought of something mischievous. He patted his firm thigh: “Sit over here yourself.”
