Married A Man I Hate - Chapter 26
Chapter 26: The Kind Person Becomes a Wife; Open Your Mouth
The fireworks were like hydrangeas that had not yet reached their flowering phase.
The entire sky and sea surface of Half Moon Bay were occupied by multicolored fireworks. The fireworks fell between the interlocking gazes of the two, the profiles of their faces with nose tips lightly pressing looking like the countdown of love’s hourglass.
For the first time, Fu Li obtained a response.
“Fu Li,” Le Qingfei’s heels touched the ground, his completely red eyes looking at him, “Thank you.”
Even if it was only a kiss of gratitude.
Contentment.
Fu Li kissed toward his nose tip, “Mmh, the post-marital treaty needs to have one more clause supplemented——”
Le Qingfei was still waiting for Fu Li to continue downwards, yet Fu Li’s kiss had already gently fallen upon his lips, slowly containing his lips, licking and sucking his tongue tip. Slender fingers pressed down on his hair strands sent flying by the wind, the finger bellies finely kneading his cheeks, crisp and numbing.
“No thanks, but a kiss.”
Le Qingfei’s brain was dizzy and heavy; he only heard the very last word, because this was given to him by Fu Li.
Kisses, lots of kisses.
Le Qingfei sat crosswise upon Fu Li’s thighs, slumping limply against the robust and broad shoulder, his right hand similarly hanging there powerlessly because Fu Li was biased—currently gripping his left wrist, continuously kissing his palm and palm heart.
Just like following a flower stalk will find the flower, Fu Li lowered his head to kiss past the palm heart, forearm, and rounded shoulder top, finding Le Qingfei’s face.
The neglected right hand was also enveloped by a warm large hand—so tight, so closely pressed.
“I am a bit afraid.”
Le Qingfei lay in an unfamiliar bedroom and unfamiliar bedding; the only thing able to make him feel secure was the man leaning over his body. Fu Li looked at his face—so beautiful, looking like a pure white gardenia flower within the scattered hair strands, its fragrance overflowing everywhere.
The clear eyes were pure and flawless.
“I know,” Fu Li tilted his head to kiss his cheek, “Baby, I know.”
The lower abdomen rose and fell slightly beneath the moonlight, looking like a windless sand dune, smooth like silk, incomparably soft.
……
“Fu Li…”
The tone of voice was soft and long.
Fu Li let out a smile, took a sip of water, and went to kiss him.
His Feifei was always soft-hearted; his Feifei always didn’t understand many matters; his Feifei would always turn into a soft little cat; his Feifei always wouldn’t admit it.
It didn’t matter, all of it didn’t matter.
Le Qingfei sprawled upon Fu Li’s body and fell asleep, drenched in sweat, his spine looking like a river past which moonlight had flowed. Within the sticky, greasy sound of water flowing was Fu Li’s voice.
……
Le Qingfei woke up.
He looked at the bedroom that was a whole size larger than the previous top-floor duplex flat. Relaxing a bit, he flipped his body over, facing a face that could go to a Prada runway show the moment he opened his eyes—handsome in the standard sense.
Le Qingfei closed his eyes, grabbing the quilt to cover his face.
How did I sleep with him again…!
Mmh, not right.
Buttocks didn’t hurt.
Le Qingfei thought about it—he was eaten.
“Ah——!”
Fu Li woke up too. Casting a glance at the puffed-up lump beside him, he lifted it open and dived inside.
Ate another meal.
……
The sunlight diffused over from the great sea and lake; the spring flowers planted ahead of time in the manor had opened quite a lot, layer upon layer, pink and red, reaching all the way from the courtyard to the bedroom window ledge.
Le Qingfei fled to the bathroom. Unfamiliar, walking to the second walk-in closet he lost his way, being found by Fu Li neither hurriedly nor slowly, and carried into the bathroom.
Fu Li didn’t do anything, not saying a single word, merely pressing Le Qingfei between himself and the wash sink, making him unable to avoid looking at the two of them in the mirror. As if performing desensitization on him.
“Fu Li you are too much…!”
“Mmh,” Fu Li lowered his head, “Open your mouth.”
Le Qingfei shrank backward, “No way, I can’t eat it down.”
“……” Fu Li stuffed the toothbrush with squeezed-out toothpaste into his mouth, “What are you thinking of?”
Le Qingfei turned around with a red face, brushing his teeth quietly.
The hand he propped upon the sink edge was covered by a large hand, ten fingers tightly locking. The person behind him pressed up, parting the long hair beside his ear, drawing close with a warm breath, “I simply can’t bear to.”
Finishing speaking, he kissed his face once.
Fu Li let out a smile, going to the other side of the double wash sink, as if nothing whatsoever had ever happened.
Le Qingfei finished washing his face. Unable to get over his anger, he ran over and gave him a few punches, fleeing swiftly.
The new home was truly too large. Under Rosita’s suggestion, Le Qingfei got onto a bicycle and began touring around inside the villa.
The open space connecting the upper and lower sections of the villa, with corridors on all four sides, allowed one to clearly see the open space downstairs. Beneath a vintage crystal chandelier spanning several meters, helpers were arranging New Year decorations. Seeing him riding a bicycle passing through the corridor, holding the “Fu” character he wrote, they waved toward him.
Le Qingfei still felt it was wondrous—such a large house, his.
Le Qingfei used a whole day just to finish touring half of the manor. Who told Fu Li to always follow him, wanting to kiss him every time they reached a place, saying this was… consecrating (opening the light for) the new home.
“According to this statement of yours, do we have to sleep briefly in every single room too?”
Le Qingfei huffily pushed away the man pressing him against a peach tree, patting the flower petals on his shoulder. Realizing something, he raised his head to face Fu Li’s seriously pondering gaze.
“……”
Le Qingfei hurriedly rode his bicycle and ran.
At nightfall, Le Qingfei sat on the carpet, admiring the property ownership certificate with his name written on it, finally having a shred of a sense of reality.
But, why did Fu Li have to be this good to him?
In case they divorced, wouldn’t it be a huge loss for this manor to go to himself?
Le Qingfei placed the property ownership certificate into the safe and locked it securely, together with the diamonds and treasures Fu Li gave him. Taking out his phone, he began searching divorce laws on the browser.
The video recommendations on the side were entirely divorce cases of Bezos, Murdoch, and Rybolovlev.
“Ever since being together with Fu Li, the push notifications have all become expensive.”
Le Qingfei complained in a small voice.
In the videos, it was entirely the property split away by spouses when billionaires divorced, repeatedly emphasizing the importance of prenuptial agreements.
He and Fu Li did not have a prenuptial agreement; they only had the post-nuptial agreement written on the strawberry notebook.
“I do know I am very cute, but I’m not cute to this extent either, right?”
Le Qingfei didn’t understand.
[Does love at first sight really exist in this world?]
[How to divorce so that the wealthy side doesn’t lose out?]
[How much is Fu Li’s net worth?]
[Can premarital property notarization be supplementarily signed after marriage?]
[Divorce laws]
……
Fu Li looked at the search history on the phone screen, let out a laugh, and carried the person—who was sprawled on the carpet reading a book to review but ended up falling asleep—back to the bedroom.
When Le Qingfei woke up, the sky was already completely dark.
Fu Li leaned sitting against the bedhead looking at planning diagrams, detecting Le Qingfei’s slowly opening eyes at the very first moment. He put down the laptop, leaning his body down, drawing close to Le Qingfei’s face side.
“Feifei is awake.”
Le Qingfei sprawled upon the pillow, his brown hair messy, his porcelain-white skin revealing the flush of just waking up. He stared blankly with open eyes, not having much response to anything of the outside world, merely sprawling there quietly.
Fu Li looked at him, a subtle satisfaction in his heart.
“Feifei,” he reached out his hand to comb Le Qingfei’s hair, “Still want to sleep more?”
Le Qingfei raised his hand to grab his misbehaving hand, holding it in his embrace, not allowing it to move chaotically, continuing to stare blankly.
Fu Li hooked his lips. Knowing he couldn’t sleep but didn’t want to get up either, he thus lifted the person up, enveloping him with a wool blanket to the point of only revealing the head leaning against his chest.
Fu Li brought over the laptop, the light of the screen falling upon Le Qingfei’s face like projecting an animation.
Photos slid past one by one—they were birthday parties of different themes: Toy Story, Alice in Wonderland, and World War Z……
Le Qingfei finally woke up fully, “What are you looking at?”
“Mmh?” Fu Li’s right hand hugged him, his left hand sliding the laptop touchpad, “Feifei’s birthday is approaching soon. What kind of theme do you want for the birthday party?”
“Birthday, party?”
Le Qingfei’s brain was still somewhat woozy, “Mine? No one will come; I only have one friend, Xu Yi.”
After age six, Le Qingfei had never had a birthday party.
His birthday was always near the New Year; everyone had their own family to accompany, and even Xu Yi found it very hard to squeeze out time to celebrate his birthday with him. Would people really come to participate?
Fu Li leaned down to kiss his forehead, “They won’t. There will be many people wanting to participate in Feifei’s birthday.”
Le Qingfei raised his head slightly, asking him: “Who, see? How come I didn’t know.”
Fu Li always spoke nice-sounding words—those words he liked very much, yet always felt were unhistorical (unreal).
“Jeremy, Becky, Ms. Yang, and Le Er-Tu (Le Second Rabbit)…”
Le Qingfei giggled, “The ones you speak of I don’t know at all. Fu Li, you just like to lie to me.”
“Jeremy was Feifei’s neighbor in London when you were little; you went together to the seaside amusement park at Southend-on-Sea, and he still keeps your group photo right now. Becky was a friend Feifei met in Berlin; her parents are both professors of the Chinese Department. Feifei’s language system was chaotic back then and you couldn’t speak Chinese well, so it was all Becky who read Chinese books to Feifei…”
Le Qingfei froze, gazing blankly at Fu Li.
“Ms. Yang was Feifei’s philosophy class teacher in the eleventh grade at Hardlyn Public School. She said you were the most special person she had ever seen—’knowing one’s ignorance,’ ‘if Li Zhi could live from the Ming Dynasty until now, Le Qingfei would be his favorite kid.’ Le Er-Tu, you don’t remember it either?”
Le Qingfei shook his head.
Fu Li raised his brows, “Before the New Year, we went to the market. You bought a rabbit that was about to be slaughtered, saying it had a fated connection with you. The result was, before even getting into the car, a kid came looking for it crying—turns out the family members had sold the rabbit behind his back. Hence you returned the rabbit to him. At night you even talked in your sleep, saying you didn’t know if the rabbit reached home or not. So I went to contact the little rabbit’s owners; they are very willing to come participate in the birthday party of the little rabbit’s life-saving benefactor.”
Le Qingfei remembered it, “But I didn’t take a name for it, see; it’s just called rabbit.”
“Mmh,” Fu Li rubbed his ear briefly, “Our home already has one rabbit; it can only be called Le Er-Tu.”
Le Qingfei nodded as if understanding yet not fully.
Fu Li knew what he wanted to say, taking the initiative to open his mouth first: “There are many people who like Feifei and all want to make friends with Feifei, it’s just that Feifei was too busy formerly and didn’t have time to go out to play. Right now it is no longer so.”
Le Qingfei looked at Fu Li, only feeling the tip of his heart was numbing, but unable to say why, so he could only say thank you.
“Fu Li, than…”
Unexpectedly, just as the two words finished speaking, Fu Li blocked his lips.
The long kiss ended. Fu Li’s gaze was gentle, lightly rubbing his nose tip briefly, “Next time you want to say it again, it ought to switch to Feifei coming to kiss me.” Finishing speaking, he tilted his head and kissed him again.
The numbing sensation of Le Qingfei’s heart suddenly ran to the lips kissed by Fu Li, the nose tip touched, and also the hand not gripped by Fu Li, as well as the thigh about to be caressed by Fu Li.
Silent moonlight.
Le Qingfei lay supine on the bed, one arm lying horizontally before his eyes, feeling as if he had fallen into a dream.
So strange,
So wondrous.
……
Le Qingfei lay sideways on the bed, gasping for breath in large mouthfuls. Fu Li hugged the person whose body was still trembling slightly from behind, kissing his ear tip.
“Feifei, why didn’t you directly ask me?”
“Mmh…”
Originally it should have been a question, but Le Qingfei’s voice was also still shaking—perhaps fatigue, or perhaps Fu Li hugged too tightly; everything was pressed too tightly.
Slight friction.
“Fu Li to Le Qingfei is exactly love at first sight.”
……
“By not divorcing, there won’t be a so-called loss.”
……
“The media valuation is three hundred billion USD, but the net assets are not this much. Apologies, this year I will work a bit harder again.”
……
“Can’t supplementarily sign after marriage, and we don’t need to supplementarily sign either. Everything of mine belongs to Feifei.”
……
“We won’t divorce.”
Fu Li pinched his chin, turning his face over to kiss with himself, “Remembered it, baby?”
Le Qingfei nodded. The slightly open lips were viewed by Fu Li as an invitation, leaning down to kiss and hold them.
“Baby,”
Fu Li gripped Le Qingfei’s hand—fine, smooth, and soft. Seeing that he used to bite his fingernails, he had been brought along to be painted with lotus-root-pink nail polish, glittering and shiny, even more beautiful. Fu Li brought that hand toward himself.
His voice was low and deep, a gentle and enticing coaxing: “Baby, help me.”
……
Le Qingfei had no strength; Le Qingfei was very sleepy; Le Qingfei hadn’t moved a single finger.
Why was Fu Li still that excited?
It seemed as long as it was him, just holding him, kissing him, looking at him… was already enough.
The breathing was scorching hot; the air was sticky and greasy.
Fu Li pressed down again to kiss him.
Truly contradictory—the hand used that much force, yet the kiss was that gentle.
Le Qingfei thought muddleheadedly.
……
Le Qingfei wanted to sleep in separate rooms.
“Clearly formerly we always slept separately,” Le Qingfei hugged a pillow, “Why do I have to sleep together with you right now? I don’t want to.”
Fu Li stood there, looking at him with a face full of hurt, “Okay, if Feifei has already decided well, I will definitely respect you.”
“……” Le Qingfei, who was being held deathly tightly in his embrace, “Then exactly put me down, see…!”
Fu Li acted as if he hadn’t heard, saying to himself: “Recently the weather is warming back up; at night Feifei easily kicks the quilt and will catch a cold…”
“This villa has 24-hour constant temperature and constant humidity.”
“Without my help, Feifei waking up in the morning will be very hard…”
“I am on vacation, and there are still twenty-odd helpers at home serving me; waking up a bit later doesn’t matter either.”
Le Qingfei’s intention to leave was resolved.
Fu Li: “Then what if I am worried about your injury?”
“Healed long ago,” Le Qingfei said, “This has already past a short half-month; it doesn’t hurt, nor is it swollen.”
Fu Li: “Oh?”
Le Qingfei: “……”
Le Qingfei hurriedly jumped down, not even daring to take the pillow, and ran.
Fu Li wouldn’t force him, but Le Qingfei wasn’t sure if he himself would do some strange things. Just as though Padata Cabin had a stray cat—when first brought back it was so fierce, yet he merely fed a few more cat strips and canned food, and the little cat would take the initiative to stick to him.
Fu Li didn’t have cat strips or canned food in his hands, but his hands were restless.
Without those restless hands, no one urged oneself to sleep—Fu Li didn’t urge, see, he merely messed with him, and after finishing messing he would be sleepy.
Le Qingfei played PS5 for a whole night.
Fu Li didn’t sleep well. Seeing Le Qingfei at the dining table similarly yawning consecutively, he finally had a shred of consolation.
At night, he knocked open Le Qingfei’s room door.
“Baby.”
“What are you doing, see?”
“I know baby missed me too.”
“I didn’t, don’t you talk blindly…! Ey ey, put me down, my game!”
On the very last day of his nineteenth year, Le Qingfei once again beneath Fu Li’s palm heart and inside his oral cavity turned into… didn’t know, cotton, a pompom, or a cat that could cry out.
Fu Li described him this way.
Fu Li took a bite right on Le Qingfei’s…, unable to resist—always ravenously hungry, yet always saying sorry after gnawing and biting.
“Baby, cry it out.”
“A little cat in spring is exactly going to cry out.”
Le Qingfei bit wet a corner of the pillow, drenched in sweat, tears streaming in ripples.
Fu Li parted his teeth, kissing his tongue tip, “Happy birthday, my Feifei is twenty years old.”
Le Qingfei wanted to bite him too, had bitten, yet that kind of thing made Fu Li all the more excited, as if treating everything of his, including his breathing and gaze, as a response.
“Let me check,” Fu Li patted him, “Is it truly well.”
“Truly, truly well…” Le Qingfei wiped his eyes briefly.
“Inside, see?”
“I, I don’t know.”
“Mmh, it doesn’t matter baby,” Fu Li deceived his body upward to kiss his face, “I’ll come take a look.”
……
“Baby, you have a mole right here.”
“I know, see, you, you said it last time…”
Fu Li let out a smile, his fingers not stopping, coming to kiss him again, “Baby remembers it all, right?”
Le Qingfei tilted his head to dodge, burying into the pillow to continue crying, his cheek flesh puffing slightly because of crying. Fu Li bit him again, calling him little pig.
Bad egg, Fu Li.
Wuwuwu, so comfortable…
“Feifei is truly good.”
This time, the gift Fu Li gave to him was a grand birthday party.
Le Qingfei liked it yet didn’t like it.
“What’s wrong?” Fu Li looked down at him, “Unhappy?”
They stood beneath a pear tree. The dusty-gray tree branches opened layer upon layer, looking like a layer of snow thickly covering atop it.
The night wind blew over, the flowers falling spectacularly, yet Le Qingfei was not that generous.
He touched the gray rabbit ears worn on the top of his head, looking toward the lively celebrating crowd on the terrace not far away, “Will they really not know of our relationship?”
Fu Li knit his brows in a hurt manner, “Feifei, are you still not preparing to give me a status?”
“……”
Le Qingfei gave him a glare, turning his body over, picking at the small lumps on the tree branches.
Fu Li couldn’t resist starting to laugh.
It had been three months. Fu Li, who rarely even showed his face at social banquets, went with a crowd of university students to a snow resort and a bar; thinking about it just a tiny bit would let one know the abnormality inside.
In addition, people who had been to the Fu family’s banquet had furthermore seen him holding Le Qingfei along to toast tea to grandfather.
It was also only Le Qingfei who would think that the “older brother” set of rhetoric would work; it was merely that Fu Li had greeted them early on, so no one dared mention it.
“Rest assured, they don’t know.”
“But, I am still very worried.”
Le Qingfei’s voice gave a bit of a shake, like a flower branch similarly swaying in the wind.
He pinched his fingers, looking at Fu Li with completely red eyes, “I’m afraid, I’m afraid Yan Song will know.”
This February was beautiful exactly like a dream.
The worry Le Qingfei exerted himself to ignore finally drilled out upon seeing the crowd where human voices boiled, attacking his entire body.
He looked at Fu Li. The trace of a smile at the corners of Fu Li’s mouth gradually disappeared, and furthermore, rarely did one see a stunned expression upon his face.
“Yan Song will misunderstand me; he will feel I don’t like him anymore, I have already married someone else…”
“He won’t.” The fingers of Fu Li holding the wine glass slowly pinched tightly, “Yan Song, he won’t think this way.”
Le Qingfei shook his head, “You are not Yan Song again, you just look like him is all, how would you know?”
Fu Li turned his face away. After a few seconds, he reached out his hand to hug the person quietly, dropping tears.
“I indeed don’t know Yan Song, but Feifei, if he truly is worth you liking this much, then he will definitely be able to understand you.”
Le Qingfei stared blankly at the flower branch beside Fu Li’s arm, “Understand me?”
“Right, understand your have no alternative, understand you merely didn’t want to sleep in an attic, understand you merely didn’t want to eat carrots anymore…” Fu Li tightened his arms, letting out a low laugh from his throat, “Even I, a person who can’t compare to him, can understand, let alone him, see?”
Le Qingfei lowered his eyelashes, then quickly raised them, “Really?”
“Of course, if he can’t even understand these, he isn’t worth you liking him.” Fu Li’s voice tone was low and deep, “Yan Song will understand you, respect you, and even hope you can do this.”
Le Qingfei’s tensed body gradually relaxed, his icy cold both hands slowly rising in temperature within Fu Li’s embrace. He nodded, “I’m a bit better.”
He patted Fu Li’s arm, indicating for him to release himself.
Fu Li would always go along with him, but this time he didn’t, still tightly hugging him beneath the flower clusters thick like clouds.
“Feifei, always place yourself in the first place.”
Le Qingfei listened to the voice of the man above his head, his heartbeat unconsciously speeding up.
“Feifei needs to eat things you like, wear the most beautiful clothes, live in the best room, possess more people who like Feifei… Don’t give up for anyone, even if it is me, even if it is Yan Song.”
The force binding tight his body disappeared; that pair of hands cupped up his face.
Le Qingfei raised his head to lock eyes with Fu Li, through that pair of lenses, gazing at that pair of familiar, familiar black eyes.
“Le Qingfei is the most important; Le Qingfei’s happiness, Le Qingfei’s everything is the most important.”
Gradually, Le Qingfei’s eyes turned red, tears rapidly filling his eye sockets, his lips lightly trembling, “My mom and dad also said it this way.”
“Only they would speak to me like this,” Le Qingfei’s throat was sour and aching, “And also you.”
Before his tears fell down, Fu Li’s handkerchief lightly wiped them away for him, as if they had never appeared.
“Then just follow along the way Mom and Dad said. Feifei, don’t let anyone become your distress or block your happiness, remembered it?”
Le Qingfei nodded. Fu Li tilted his head to kiss his eye tail, “Still want to cry? Little birthday star.”
Shook his head, “Not crying anymore.”
Fu Li bent his index finger, lightly scraping his nose tip briefly, “Blockhead.”
Le Qingfei: “Yan Song also liked it like this.”
The hand Fu Li hadn’t had time to draw back froze for a split second in the air.
“Scraping my nose tip, saying I am a ‘blockhead,’ and also…”
“So heartbroken.” Fu Li retreated half a step in a hurt manner, “The wife unwilling to give me a status is again mentioning other men before me. Truly lets me… Wife?”
Fu Li looked at the back view of Le Qingfei running far away huffily, letting out a smile.
The very last shred of worry also disappeared. Le Qingfei was the happiest person in the entire world today.
“Happy birthday!”
“Qingfei, happy birthday.”
“Woof woof, woof woof woof woof!”
Some people Le Qingfei didn’t know at all, but all, all, all the people knew him. Just like formerly those senior school brothers he admired in Hardlyn Public School—the places walked past, there was always someone greeting them.
Le Qingfei also became the most popular person.
He went to the kitchen for making fruit jam—that’s right, Fu Li built a kitchen specifically for making fruit jam for him.
Preparing to take out all of his stock together to place into the accompanying return gifts prepared for the guests.
Previously he couldn’t bear to, only placing them for Xu Yi and a few familiar classmates.
Thinking of it now, it was he himself being a bit too stingy.
“Le Qingfei oh Le Qingfei, sharing is exactly the source of happiness, can’t be this stingy anymore. Fu Li said it, he still wants to plant an orchard for us; there will be many, many…… Ah——!”
Le Qingfei turned his body around, being startled a massive leap by the man suddenly appearing behind him. His hand loosened, and the fig fruit jam also dropped.
“Tsk.”
Fu Qian bent his waist to catch the fruit jam, handing it back to him, “Am I a ghost, see, what are you screaming for?”
Le Qingfei picked up a paper tissue on the side, with disgust wiping the fruit jam jar touched by Fu Qian briefly.
Fu Qian: “……”
He narrowed his shoulders, bypassing Fu Qian, going to the other side of the island counter.
“What are you looking for your sister-in-law for?”
“……”
The banquet dispersed, the butler and helpers were seeing off the guests.
Fu Li had people send the gifts sent by friends Le Qingfei had a not-bad relationship with to the room upstairs, “He probably wants to unwrap them tonight.”
“Okay, Sir.”
Fu Li had just finished talking with the principal of Jinggang University about the matter of switching majors. Returning instead he didn’t see the person, asking: “Is he in the garden or upstairs?”
The helpers exchanged a glance, shook their heads, merely saying the last time they saw the person was in the fruit jam kitchen.
“Mmh,” Fu Li loosened his tie knot a bit, walking upstairs, “Together with whom?”
“Fu Qian.”
Fu Li’s fingers paused, his foot treading upon the stairs. After a short moment, he nodded his head.
A pair of black leather shoes came face-to-face toward him from upstairs.
Fu Qian took out a cigarette box from his clothing pocket, shook out a cigarette, bit it in his mouth, looking at him with a half-smile yet not a smile, his steps light and brisk as he walked downstairs.
Fu Li cast a glance at the dark green letters around the cigarette butt, quickened his steps, walking toward Le Qingfei’s room.
“Feifei.”
