- Chapter 75 - Letting Loose in the Deep Sea
Long Ling was really about to get angry. She had thought the Great Evil Dragon was in trouble and rushed into the sea to find her, only to discover that the Great Evil Dragon just wanted to shoot heart-shaped beams at her from the seabed to tempt her.
She raised her hand and poked, shattering the magical heart sent out by Violet.
The large heart instantly turned into countless small hearts, forming a series of bubble curtains around her.
Violet watched the little dragon, who had been fine a moment ago, suddenly change her expression and look at her with strange eyes.
Violet’s eyes held a smile: “What’s wrong? You don’t like this?”
Long Ling snorted, turned her head to cut through the seawater, and swam towards the surface.
Those magical little heart bubbles followed closely behind Long Ling, emitting a faint, pale purple glow.
She was a dragon now, so she wouldn’t drown in the water, and she also had elven blood, allowing her to walk on water as if on solid ground even when using magic.
Violet closely followed beside her: “Where are you going?”
Long Ling’s tone was unfriendly: “Anywhere but with you.”
Violet said softly, “I brought my Dragon Guards. They will help you put away your surfboard.”
Violet’s amber eyes turned into vertical slits at the bottom of her pupils. The underwater scenery flashed past her eyes, and her face looked dreamy and magnificent.
Long Ling still didn’t want to pay attention to the Great Evil Dragon. The Great Evil Dragon had no idea how worried she had just been.
Long Ling swam in the opposite direction, refusing to get close to Violet. Violet had brought her down too fast just now, and they had already entered the deep-sea area. Various strange-looking sea fish swam around in front of her.
The golden sunlight could not penetrate the deep sea, and only the faint purple magical heart that Violet had just projected onto her was continuously providing light.
Long Ling was in her element in the deep sea, and being angry at Violet made her swim even faster.
She suddenly saw a swaying orange lantern at the bottom of the sea, moving towards her.
Long Ling remembered the legends of the Dragon Palace she had heard from storytellers before and couldn’t help but stop.
Does this world also have a Dragon Palace?
The lantern got closer and closer. It was a pitch-black behemoth with rows of serrated sharp teeth, and an orange-yellow little lantern hanging over its head.
The ugly fish head of the sea monster was visibly stunned after seeing Long Ling.
Long Ling also froze. She had never seen such a strange fish.
Two seconds later, it was unclear who let out a short shriek first.
The dragon and the fish were simultaneously startled and ran away!
The large, monster-like fish was so scared that it tumbled several times underwater, crashing disoriented into a giant reef, smashing a large cluster of hard reefs to pieces.
Long Ling, hearing the commotion behind her, was also startled and unsettled. She transformed into a silver-white giant dragon and frantically crashed through several schools of fish.
Her dragon body accidentally got tangled in several coils of seaweed, and she quickly swam towards Violet.
The panic-stricken silver-white dragon suddenly rushed into Violet’s arms, trembling slightly.
Violet didn’t have time to think and quickly patted her dragon head.
“What’s wrong? Why are you suddenly so scared?”
“Wuwuwu, I saw a monster and almost couldn’t come back.”
Violet hugged Long Ling tightly. She glanced behind Long Ling, but the seabed was calm, with no trace of a monster.
“It’s okay, I’m here. Don’t be afraid. No one dares to bully you.”
Violet gently comforted her, lightly patting Long Ling’s back.
Long Ling knew that Violet was always powerful, and she felt a lot safer. She sensed that the strange fish hadn’t actually followed them, wiped her watery eyes, and told Violet.
“I just saw someone carrying a lantern and thought I was going to see the Dragon Palace. Then I stood there waiting, and I saw a very large, very ugly sea monster. Its two rows of teeth were like saws, dense and especially terrifying!”
“It must be an anglerfish. It should be afraid of you instead. Next time, stay by my side and don’t wander too far. If you encounter danger, I can protect you.”
Violet brushed off the seaweed from Long Ling’s body and helped her remove some slippery sea kelp as well.
She patted Long Ling’s back, coaxed her for a while, and then couldn’t help but ask, “What is this Dragon Palace you just mentioned?”
Long Ling calmed down a lot and asked curiously, “Is there no Dragon Palace here at the bottom of the sea?”
Violet frowned: “What is it like?”
Long Ling recalled the storyteller’s description: “It’s that beautiful crystal palace, filled with all kinds of treasures, with a Dragon King, and also Shrimp Soldiers, Crab Generals, and a Turtle Chancellor.”
Who gave the little dragon these messy picture books?
The family didn’t lack crystal, so she could find artisans to build a magnificent crystal palace for Long Ling and let Long Ling be the Dragon King inside.
But how could shrimp and crabs be soldiers? And what kind of turtle was a Turtle Chancellor?
Violet carefully asked Long Ling for more details: “What do the Shrimp Soldiers, Crab Generals, and Turtle Chancellor look like?”
Long Ling hadn’t actually seen them either: “They have shrimp heads and human bodies, and crab heads and human bodies. The Turtle Chancellor is an old turtle that can talk. Have you ever seen a place like that?”
After Long Ling described so much to her, Violet’s mind was still blank, but there wasn’t no solution. She could find her Dragon Guards to impersonate the Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals to fulfill the little dragon’s wish.
A faint light flashed in Violet’s eyes: “I have seen it.”
Long Ling’s eyes immediately lit up. This magical world really had a crystal palace at the bottom of the sea!
Long Ling took Violet’s hand and requested, “Can you take me to see it?”
Violet curled her lips: “I can. You come home with me, and I’ll take you to visit the Dragon King in the Crystal Palace.”
Long Ling was puzzled: “Why can’t we visit now?”
Of course, it was because the Crystal Palace hadn’t been built yet.
Violet said earnestly, “We need to go home to get a map. The location of the Crystal Palace is hard to find.”
Long Ling was half-skeptical: “How is this different from what the book said?”
Violet asked, “What did the book say?”
Long Ling recalled: “I remember it said you needed a token to enter.”
Violet said casually, “The book might have gotten it wrong. No token is needed here.”
What Violet said sounded somewhat reasonable. She wasn’t from this world herself, and customs were different everywhere. Perhaps the Dragon Palace here was the kind that didn’t require a token.
Long Ling nodded: “Alright.”
Why did she feel like the Great Evil Dragon was digging a big trap for her at home?
Long Ling couldn’t quite figure it out for a moment. She lowered her thick eyelashes and said, “I can’t go home with you right now. I can’t keep letting my aunt look after the tavern I just opened. I need to go back, and I also promised to bring a gift for Alorlis. I’ll go after I’ve finished my business.”
Violet nodded slightly: “Okay. Once I take you to the Dragon Palace, you can’t keep thinking about others. You have to give me some gifts too.”
Long Ling looked at Violet, attempting to read Violet’s thoughts, to see what Violet wanted first.
But since Violet’s emotions weren’t intense right now, Long Ling couldn’t perceive her thoughts.
The deep-sea area was very quiet. Besides some marine life, only she and Violet were here.
Long Ling remembered how Violet had tried to bait her earlier. She moved closer to Violet and caressed Violet’s smooth, long hair that was floating in the water: “What gift do you want?”
Violet felt Long Ling’s gentleness again. A blush tinged her temples, and she raised her hand to wrap around Long Ling’s neck, their noses gently touching.
The surrounding magical small bubbles gathered again, enveloping the two of them in one gigantic magical heart-shaped bubble.
Violet closed her eyes and parted her red lips: “Let’s do it once.”
Long Ling’s cheeks instantly grew hot: “No.”
Just as she was about to pull away, Violet’s lips met hers, prying open her teeth, and passionately kissing her underwater.
Their breaths became ragged. A magnificent blush crept over their cheeks, and their heartbeats thumped loudly.
Violet took Long Ling’s hand and guided it up from the hem of her top.
Every time Long Ling buried her hand in, she felt a sense of oxygen deprivation, and most of the time she would feel shy, but sometimes when they marked each other, Violet would also ask her to touch there.
Her fingertips gently circled and rubbed twice. Violet’s breathing became more seductive, and her tempting body arched into Long Ling’s hand.
Long Ling’s moist tongue was also passionately entangled and sucked, her breath nearly stolen away.
Although there was no one here, it was the middle of the ocean, and Long Ling hadn’t reached that level of abandon yet.
Violet hugged her tightly, kissing even more intensely, and nipped her fair, tender earlobe.
Long Ling’s body trembled, and she instinctively clenched her palm. The softness beneath her palm slowly began to change.
Long Ling’s cheeks instantly became flushed and hot, and her heart beat even faster than before.
Long Ling pushed Violet away: “Not here.”
Although the unfamiliar environment was a bit stimulating, it wasn’t private enough, which really made her feel insecure.
If another dragon dove down and saw her and Violet doing that, she might have a lifelong fear of the ocean.
Violet’s eyes turned mournful. She flipped her black curly hair: “No one can see us inside the magic bubble. If you’re shy, we can go somewhere deeper.”
Long Ling’s cheeks were too hot to bear: “I want to go up. We agreed to go to the island tonight, and we’ve been down here for a long time.”
Violet’s hand stroked Long Ling’s rosy cheek, finding it alarmingly hot: “It’s been a while since we marked each other. Can you handle holding back like this?”
Long Ling had originally been able to ignore the painful throbbing of her canine teeth, but after Violet mentioned it, she really wanted to bite something, and her gaze involuntarily fell on the gland on the side of Violet’s neck.
She awkwardly turned her face away, feeling a bit flustered: “I’ll give you the gift when I get back. Take me up first.”
Seeing her struggling, with eyes misty with tears and sweat beading on her forehead, Violet took out a handkerchief to wipe Long Ling’s face.
It was useless if she was the only one eager; Long Ling had to cooperate.
“Then let’s go.” Violet snapped her fingers.
The magical heart bubble that had encased them both instantly scattered into strings of little heart bubbles.
Long Ling was originally swimming beside Violet, but the seabed always had strange creatures that inevitably made her nervous.
Violet let her swim behind and below her. After Long Ling accidentally encountered a mother and calf orca pair, where the calf was swimming right beneath its mother, Long Ling immediately chose to swim in front of Violet, adopting a somewhat Alpha demeanor.
Violet watched the silver-white dragon suddenly surge ahead, cutting through the waves for her, and the corners of her lips curved slightly upward.
She sped up her swimming, following closely behind Long Ling, and at the same time, let out a majestic dragon roar, warning the large marine creatures around them to stay away from their vicinity.
The dragon’s body size was inherently larger than most other sea creatures. After transforming into her dragon form, those large marine creatures automatically kept their distance.
The path was completely clear. After they passed through a beautiful coral patch together, the dragon’s body leaped out of the sea surface.
When they first dove into the deep sea, they could still see the sunset, but now the sky was completely dark, sprinkled with stars that shone brightly.
A round moon rose over the sea. Long Ling saw many jellyfish emitting a multicolored glow, swimming towards where they surfaced. The scene was so dreamlike that Long Ling couldn’t bear to blink.
Long Ling couldn’t help but sigh to Violet: “It’s so beautiful, Violet. I’ve never seen such a stunning sight.”
It was the first time she had witnessed such beauty, and being able to share it with the person she loved was truly a fortunate thing.
Violet heard Long Ling suddenly call her by such an intimate name and couldn’t help but curl her lips: “Yes, it is beautiful.”
Long Ling watched the jellyfish about to pass by her and Violet and instinctively wanted to get out of their way, but Violet pulled her into her arms.
They stayed put, quietly watching the jellyfish swim past them.
The soft bell of a jellyfish inadvertently brushed against Long Ling’s finger, feeling soft and bouncy.
After Violet reminded her that jellyfish tentacles might be venomous, Long Ling immediately retracted her hand and watched the jellyfish swim gracefully past them.
Long Ling noticed the glowing jellyfish school, and suddenly remembered Annie.
Oh no, she had told Annie to wait for her, and that she would go learn surfing with her after talking to Violet. She wondered if Annie had been waiting for her for a long time.
Long Ling quickly pulled Violet, and they swam together toward the shore.
When they reached the beach, there was hardly anyone around, only the lights of a few scattered small stalls were still flickering.
Long Ling suddenly spotted Annie in front of one of the small stalls. She was sitting on a small chair, listlessly drinking coconut juice, with a blue surfboard standing upright next to her. Her silhouette looked a bit forlorn.
Long Ling was full of apology and hurried over: “Annie.”
Annie’s normally cheerful face had turned into a gloomy little expression. She was finally relieved that she had waited for Sister Long Ling.
Annie said with a touch of grievance, “Sister Long Ling, I thought you had forgotten about me.”
Long Ling immediately shook her head: “I ran into something in the sea. Let’s go to the island together now.”
Annie looked behind Long Ling. Sure enough, Duke Violet was following Sister Long Ling again.
Violet walked with an elegant stride. The cool sea breeze blew her long hair, and the ruby on her earlobe refracted a dazzling light.
Annie couldn’t help but say, “It’s so late. I wonder if there are any boats left. A lot of people boarded ships to the small island just now, and those cruise ships haven’t returned yet.”
Long Ling clenched her fingers, feeling even more apologetic: “I’m sorry, it’s all because I came back too late.”
Annie comforted Long Ling: “It’s okay, Sister Long Ling. I have a distant uncle who does maritime trade in the City of Freedom. I can check via a magical communication crystal to see if Uncle has time to pick us up.”
Long Ling’s hope was rekindled.
Violet enjoyed the cool night breeze, tapping her arm lightly with a slender finger.
Annie quickly called her portable magical communication crystal, first calling her uncle, then her sister, but both her uncle and sister said they didn’t have time to come over.
Annie was so angry that she hung up the communication crystal and couldn’t help but stomp her foot. Why were they all so unreliable?
Long Ling looked at the sky. It was already very late, and she said gently, “Why don’t we go to the island tomorrow night? It’s not a very urgent matter anyway. We can play for a few more days.”
Annie was touched by Sister Long Ling’s thoughtfulness. Just as she was about to nod in agreement, she suddenly saw a luxurious cruise ship sailing in the distance by the sea.
Annie quickly grabbed Long Ling’s arm and shook it vigorously: “Sister Long Ling, a boat is coming! It’s even more luxurious and magnificent than the boats I saw other dragons taking before.”
She volunteered: “I’ll go ask Sister Long Ling if we can board.”
Annie quickly walked over.
Long Ling couldn’t help but look at Violet beside her: “Is that your boat?”
Violet didn’t answer. She gently patted the non-existent dust-off Long Ling’s arm and leaned lazily into Long Ling’s embrace: “The evening breeze here is so cold. It’s a shame my cloak is still with a certain dragon.”
Long Ling couldn’t help but ask, “Didn’t you go to the tavern I opened on the Leewo Continent? I had the staff there waiting for you.”
Violet: “I only want you to return it to me personally.”
Long Ling: “Then you’ll never get it in this lifetime. I’d rather throw it away than return it to you.”
Violet: “You are not allowed to throw it away. If you throw it away, you will have to compensate me with yourself.”
Long Ling refused to let Violet lean on her: “You’re dreaming.”
When Annie returned, she was very excited: “Sister Long Ling, there are exactly three spots! We can all go to the island and have fun.”
Violet slightly raised her chin and walked ahead of Annie: “Since there’s a boat, hurry up and go.”
Annie couldn’t help but whisper to Long Ling: “Why is she so arrogant? Is that cruise ship hers?”
Long Ling glanced at Annie. Yes, otherwise, how could there be exactly three spots? It was specially sent to pick up the three of them.
Annie fell silent instantly. It seemed she should avoid confronting the Duchess in the future.
