- Imprisoned by Forced Love! The Yandere Disciple Tied My Hands and Told Me to Be Good
- Chapter 20 - Double Happiness【Yue Qi’s Memory】
July 7th, the Qixi Festival.
The entire Yuyu Sect was draped in festive joy. Before the ritual hall, Master and I stood in front of the divine statues, both clad in crimson wedding robes. The hall was filled with numerous disciples from various immortal sects. However, the Sect Leader was absent likely looking down upon this union.
But it didn’t matter. I didn’t care in the slightest whether he approved of my soul-binding with Master. Even if the whole world opposed it, I was going to marry Master as my husband.
On my birthday. At the moment when the celestial stars meet in the heavens.
I silently took Master’s hand, clasping it tightly within my palm. Master turned to look at me. I could feel his gaze; it was like the spring breeze of March, capable of melting into the warm sun and spring scenery in a single instant. In that moment, I felt that Master was more beautiful than anything else in the world.
Holding Master’s hand, we bowed to the divine statues with excitement and devotion. At the moment I lowered my head, I made a vow in my heart: throughout every lifetime, I would never be separated from Master.
The first bow to Heaven and Earth concluded. Since neither Master nor I had parents present, the bowing to the elders was omitted. Only the final bow remained—the mutual bow between husband and husband—to complete the ceremony.
I had dreamed of this day for so long. Day after day of waiting, month after month of anticipation, year after year of longing. From the time I only reached Master’s waist, to reaching his chest. Now, I was slightly taller than Master. It was finally time for me to be the one to protect him.
I took Master’s hand, intending to perform the mutual bow with him. But Master took the lead, spreading his palm open toward me. Within his previously empty palm, two silver streams of light suddenly coalesced, shimmering with brilliant, ethereal colors.
When the light faded, two silver rings appeared upon his slender, pale palm. I looked at the two identical rings; they weren’t normal circles. It was as if one end had been twisted, joining the twisted end with the normal one. The design was very strange.
Confused, I asked, “This is…?”
“Soul-binding rings.” “They are also the proof of our love for one another.”
Master looked at me, saying each word deliberately: “As long as we place these rings on each other’s ring fingers, our hearts will be eternally joined, and we shall not fail each other in this life.”
Master picked up one of the rings, took my hand, and slid it onto my ring finger. Watching the faint silver glow emitted by the ring, the joy in my heart grew more intense. If I had to choose one moment to last for eternity, I would want only this moment, repeating forever. In this life, I only wanted to live this one day.
The ring was finally fitted completely onto my ring finger. I prepared to do the same, picking up the other ring and taking Master’s hand to put it on him.
But Master pulled his hand back. The expression on his face suddenly changed.
I was somewhat bewildered, my fox ears twitching atop my head. “Master?”
Master turned his head away, avoiding my gaze. After a moment of silence, he spoke slowly: “Let’s end it here. I’ve acted long enough.”
Upon hearing those words, my heart began to ring with a hollow void. It felt as though I were falling into an infinite abyss. I thought Master was joking. I tried to grab his hand again.
But before I could even touch him, the ring Master had just placed on my finger suddenly erupted with a violent silver light. The radiance was so piercing that I couldn’t open my eyes. I couldn’t see Master’s face.
Yet, I could hear that voice chilled to the absolute extreme: “July… even for wishful thinking, there must be a limit.”
Amidst the endless white light, a sharp pain suddenly erupted from my chest.
Puchi—
The location of my heart was pierced, without a hint of hesitation, by a sharp ice prism manifested from Master’s hand.
In an instant, it was as if all the strength had been drained from my body. I lost control, my torso slowly bending forward until I finally slumped to my knees in a dull, wooden posture. A thick scent of iron surged from the depths of my throat, and large mouthfuls of blood sprayed onto the ground like a fountain. The crimson blood splattered across the floor like blooming blossoms of gore, a shocking sight to behold.
Like a lifeless marionette, I clutched my chest, feeling the scalding, viscous fluid. I raised my hand, staring blankly at the stinging sight of the blood. I also heard Master’s subsequent words.
“You are of the Spirit Race, a lowly fox demon, while I am from a prestigious sect, a Celestial Immortal of the Holy Path. The difference between our statuses is as that between clouds and mud. Did you truly think I accepted you as a disciple out of pity? Did you truly believe that agreeing to bind our souls was out of love?”
“I only… wanted this heart of yours.”
As his voice trailed off, the ice prism in Master’s hand—which possessed no warmth whatsoever—twisted several times within my chest. It continued until the blood pooled into a small lake.
I gritted my teeth deathly tight, refusing to let even half a cry of pain escape. But my eyes grew red nonetheless.
Finally, the cold weapon was withdrawn from my chest and tossed aside. Immediately following this, Master’s hand gathered a surge of spiritual power, and he reached in to gouge out my heart with his bare hands.
“Ugh…”
It was a pain as if my internal organs were being ground to pulp. Cold sweat drenched my robes. Ultimately, I couldn’t hold on any longer and collapsed into the pool of blood.
With my face pressed against the floor, I spotted a white magnolia flower within the gore. I had searched through Master’s immortal residence to pick the most beautiful white magnolia, specifically hiding it in my robe on the day of the ceremony, intending to present it to Master personally after the vows.
Now, the magnolia was stained by the blood on the ground, crimson veins appearing on its petals. With great difficulty, I reached out to clutch it tightly in my hand.
Above me, Master’s cold, trembling voice cut like a knife: “You simply… do not deserve me.”
Accompanied by the rhythmic drip-drop of falling blood, the piercing silver light finally vanished. Once the intense glare no longer obstructed the vision of the surrounding crowd, they witnessed the scene and erupted into a deafening chorus of mockery.
“A mere beast actually dared to cling to a Celestial Immortal? Look at his status; he isn’t even human!”
“Hahahaha, look at his pathetic state. A lowly creature from the gutter, he simply doesn’t match our Celestial Immortal.”
“Fox demon! Get out of the Yuyu Sect!”
Amidst the mocking voices of the crowd, I didn’t say a word. I silently struggled to crawl out of the pool of blood. I looked up, quietly watching Master’s face. I wanted to see a trace of reluctance on his face. Even a tiny bit would have sufficed.
But—there was never even a shred of emotion on Master’s face.
I suddenly burst into loud laughter. The crowd was startled by my frantic laughing, and their mockery fell silent. In that deathly stillness, I used the petals of the magnolia in my hand to manifest a sharp blade and raised my hand above my head.
Aiming at my ears, I made a swift, clean cut. After the sound of tearing flesh and bone, there were two soft splats. Two soft fox ears fell to the ground.
The blood from the top of my head drenched my face, covering my collar and robes, matching the crimson wedding attire perfectly. Forcing myself to endure the agonizing pain in my head and chest, I smiled and asked Master, “Does this make me worthy of you?”
Without waiting for a response, I released my hidden fox tail. I swung the sharp blade again, and the tail hit the ground.
The pain was so great I was on the verge of fainting. But I forced myself to stay upright, even though my voice was trembling beyond recognition: “Does this… make me worthy…”
Before I could finish, I saw Master turn and walk away without once looking back. I couldn’t accept Master leaving; I tried to chase him. But I had no strength left. After taking only one step, I fell heavily back into the pool of blood.
Even so, I struggled to follow the sound of Master’s departing footsteps. Driving my shattered body, I gasped for breath as I crawled several paces. Every step I crawled left a trail of mangled blood behind me.
But Master walked too fast. No matter how desperately I crawled, I couldn’t keep up with the speed of his departure. Seeing his silhouette about to vanish at the end of my vision, I finally screamed out with all my might: “MASTER”
In that instant, Master actually stopped. I thought my cry had worked and was about to heave a sigh of relief, only to hear Master’s resolute voice drifting from afar.
“I do not love you…” “Never. Not for a single moment.”
That silhouette that haunted my soul finally, completely vanished from my world.
Refusing to give up, I shrieked at the silhouette that would never return:
“Master… don’t abandon me…” “I beg you… don’t leave me…” “If you want my heart, take it. I only beg you… let me stay… by your side…”
There was no response. Because Master… could no longer hear me.
