Seeing the figure suddenly stop, forgetting to walk, she saw the tips of her fingers gently hook. Yan Xingyu sensed the other person’s discomfort and said, “The mist is so thick, I’m afraid some other demonic beast might appear, so it’s better if we stay close.”

Yan Xingyu was slightly surprised to see Yi Rong vanish instantly, but seeing Liu Ruoni approach, she understood and said, “We’re fine.”

Yan Xingyu looked down at the little fox curled up with its eyes closed and said, “I think so.”

“I’ll transfer some spiritual power to her later, which should make her feel better.” Liu Ruoni said, then looked around and continued, “Our luck was bad today we encountered a Huos beast. After all that commotion, it’s late, and we’re also nearly out of the Inner Sect area. I’ll take you directly to the Outer Sect Dao Hall.”

Yan Xingyu agreed, as she was unfamiliar with the place, it was natural to follow the other person’s lead.

Amidst her random thoughts, drowsiness irresistibly covered her eyes. After an unknown period of sleep, Yan Xingyu was awakened by claps of thunder exploding near her ears.

She saw lightning outside the window brightly illuminate the sky, flash after flash breaking the silence of the night, stirring up raging winds, and disturbing all living things.

On the other side, the man meditating in the Inner Hall suddenly opened his eyes. His goatee trembled with a shiver of his body. He looked at the lightning and thunder outside the window, suspicious that something was wrong, and got up to walk out.

He saw heavy black clouds gathering at the foot of the Ten Thousand Step Stairway, with bolts of Heavenly Thunder continuously striking downwards.

She had only taken a few steps from the bed to open the door when the door was pushed open first, and Liu Ruoni rushed in anxiously.

Seeing the anxious look on her face, Yan Xingyu turned around to hug Jiao Yu, not forgetting to ask, “What’s wrong? What happened?”
