Grilled Fish Restaurant.

Su Miao said while eating, her voice muffled and fuzzy, “My mom is coming to visit me in a couple of days. She heard I made a new friend and is especially happy about it.”

Duan Bainian gave a hum of acknowledgment. “And then?”

Su Miao stopped chewing and scanned Duan Bainian’s face cautiously. Seeing nothing out of the ordinary, she then said, “My mom said she wants to invite you to dinner.”

Duan Bainian looked at Su Miao with some surprise.

Su Miao hurriedly explained, “Just… just having a meal together is fine. If you’re not willing, then never mind…”

Duan Bainian smiled. “I didn’t say I wasn’t willing, what’s the rush?”

Su Miao was overjoyed. “You agreed?”

Duan Bainian originally intended to just nod, but seeing Su Miao’s reaction, she couldn’t help but want to tease her. “When did I say I agreed?”

Su Miao’s small face instantly became dejected. “If you’re not willing, then forget it.”

Duan Bainian propped up her chin, looking at Su Miao with a beaming smile. “Do you want me to go to dinner?”

In this dummy’s eyes, there probably isn’t a single bad person in the world.

The grilled fish was spicy and hot, and the two of them gradually grew warm as they ate.

Duan Bainian smiled and said, “Are you two also here for this grilled fish? We just started eating, sit down and join us.”

Li Man was grinning and about to sit when she suddenly thought of something and said to Su Miao, “Eating together—you won’t mind, right?”

Su Miao naturally minded; she didn’t like interacting with people she wasn’t familiar with. But since these were the people Duan Bainian had invited, Su Miao smiled politely. “It’s fine, let’s eat together.”

Su Miao wasn’t happy at all.

Originally, she and Duan Bainian were sitting across from each other. Now, Li Man sat next to Duan Bainian, while the other person naturally sat next to her.

Looking at the person almost brushing against her, Su Miao silently moved further inward.

With two more people, the meal became very lively. Of course, this liveliness had nothing to do with Su Miao.
