I Heard That I am a HeartBreaker - Chapter 1
Qiu Shuang always believed that she was probably different from ordinary girls.
Recalling the past years, she could hardly think of those so-called beautiful and striving youthful memories. What left the deepest impression on her were the few tall willow trees by the basketball court.
She would forever remember that during every break, she would stand in the shade, watching the shadows cast by the sun through the leaves, and waiting for the person she wanted to see to appear.
Regardless of the season, in the long line of people, Qiu Shuang could always spot the other person at first glance.
She thought, It’s so strange. Everyone has roughly similar hairstyles and wears the same clothes, so why can I always see you in the crowd at a glance?
Later, perhaps she understood that the unique special feeling and uncontrollable gaze was called liking.
The sprout of love hadn’t lasted long before it was quickly interrupted. She couldn’t forget the other person’s look of disgust and the feeling of suffocation from having her head forced underwater.
“Qiu Shuang, you’re so disgusting…”
Extraordinary good news! Extraordinary good news! Our student Chen Wanjun has won the provincial top scorer for the science stream in the college entrance examination with 742 points!
The high school senior group chat instantly exploded.
“Damn! Sister Chen is awesome, this directly overpowers the high school in the neighboring city, 666.”
Qiu Shuang was not in the mood to look at the active messages in the class group chat. She just sat there, staring blankly at the red exclamation mark.
The other person’s previous caring words were still there in the chat history above.
Chen Wanjun: Study hard, I believe in you, I’ll wait for you in A City.
“Why… why did you abandon me.”
Qiu Shuang buried herself under the quilt. This was her rare private space. Only here could she seemingly vent her vulnerability like a person.
Why did I fail…
However, the notification sounds kept ringing, interrupting her sorrow.
Qiu Shuang picked up her phone and saw several people sending her messages. She scrolled directly to the bottom until she saw Lu Chen’s profile picture and clicked into it.
Lu Chen: Sure enough, I was just a little short of beating her. I got 738. How did you do?
Since discovering she was blocked, Qiu Shuang hadn’t been in the mood, and she had also checked her score before and wasn’t surprised when she was blocked, so she hadn’t paid much attention. Only when Lu Chen mentioned it did she open the link and check again. Seeing the result, Qiu Shuang was not surprised.
Qiu Shuang: 706, about what I estimated.
Lu Chen: I’ll wait for you in A City.
Qiu Shuang: Okay.
Qiu Shuang tossed the phone aside and lay on the bed. Her recently tear-filled eyes were a little blurry, and her memory gradually drifted back to the past.
The summer in July was still a bit scorching, but once it reached the deep night, the gentle cool breeze also brought a sense of desolation. For the incoming university students who had finished the college entrance examination, everyone gathered together for a rare get-together.
At the class reunion, as genuine adults, everyone was inevitably looking forward to challenging themselves.
Hair dyeing and drinking, a series of behaviors that were once strictly forbidden, all took to the stage. Even now, Qiu Shuang doesn’t remember how much she drank, only that Chen Wanjun took her back to her apartment.
“Are you a prime minister’s belly that can sail a boat? Drinking so much at once, aren’t you afraid of drinking yourself to death? What on earth are you thinking in your head? I really want to open it up and take a good look.”
Qiu Shuang was a little drunk, her head was fuzzy, and she could no longer clearly hear what the other person was saying. She could only see the other person’s mouth moving under the dim yellow light in the living room, saying something.
She suddenly had a thought: How about a kiss?
As soon as the idea popped up, the bold her wanted to do it. While talking, Chen Wanjun noticed that the other person’s state seemed a little different—her face was unnaturally red, and she kept giggling foolishly.
Then, the other person suddenly hugged her, startling Chen Wanjun. She almost instinctively kicked her away, but when she realized it was Qiu Shuang hugging her, she just froze in place and slowly used her hands to hug the other person’s waist.
Chen Wanjun could only console herself that it was because the other person was too silly that she was doing this inexplicably. She lowered her head to look at the other person. Under the light, the girl’s pretty face looked exceptionally touching, resting in her arms with a blush.
Chen Wanjun felt that her brain might be broken. She felt that this shouldn’t be happening. She shouldn’t let this strange situation continue. She should have stopped it a long time ago.
She watched Qiu Shuang stand on her tiptoes and kiss her. She could have pushed the other person away or directly scolded her, but she didn’t. She only slightly averted her head, allowing the kiss to successfully land on the corner of her mouth.
The soft touch gave Chen Wanjun a start. She pushed the other person away immediately.
The pain from landing on her backside sobered Qiu Shuang up a bit. She didn’t know why the other person suddenly pushed her, especially since such things had happened before.
Qiu Shuang vaguely watched as Chen Wanjun grabbed her and dragged her into the bathroom of her house.
Qiu Shuang, being inexplicably brought to the bathroom, didn’t understand what was going on. She just watched Chen Wanjun turn on the faucet of the sink, and then pushed her head into the water. The cold water instantly cleared Qiu Shuang’s mind.
“So cold!”
“Are you sober now!”
Qiu Shuang didn’t understand why Chen Wanjun suddenly acted this way today. She carefully took hold of the other person’s finger.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it, I didn’t want to do that… can you forgive me?”
Chen Wanjun was about to continue scolding the other person when she saw the water slowly dripping down Qiu Shuang’s face, soaking the white shirt on her chest and revealing the color underneath.
“What’s wrong with you… please don’t be silent… weren’t we fine?”
Qiu Shuang didn’t understand why the other person suddenly changed. The first friend who suddenly appeared and entered her life, the Chen Wanjun who stood up for her and fought with classmates, why did she become this strange and terrifying person now?
Chen Wanjun was even more annoyed, coupled with the sight of that flash of color. She didn’t know what she was thinking and directly tore open Qiu Shuang’s shirt. Qiu Shuang was confused by the other person’s action but didn’t say anything.
After all, in a girl’s dorm, changing clothes face-to-face was sometimes a common occurrence. She just didn’t understand what the other person was trying to do.
The moment the white shirt was torn open, the scenery underneath was completely exposed. Chen Wanjun looked at it for a few seconds before covering it back up.
“Change out of this outfit. You look like a dog, it’s ugly…”
“This isn’t my house, I don’t have clothes…”
Hearing this, Chen Wanjun pulled Qiu Shuang’s arm and led her into her room. Qiu Shuang was full of curiosity as she entered Chen Wanjun’s bedroom. After all, this was the first time she had been in Chen Wanjun’s bedroom; the other person had never allowed it before.
Then, Qiu Shuang watched Chen Wanjun take out a shirt from her closet in her bedroom.
“Take it off.”
“Oh, oh…”
Hearing this, Qiu Shuang took off the shirt she was wearing. The snow-white fullness covering the pink half-cups entered Chen Wanjun’s line of sight. She directly threw the shirt onto the other person’s face, urging Qiu Shuang to put it on quickly.
After putting on the shirt, Qiu Shuang rolled up the sleeves. Her height was average, about 165 cm, while Chen Wanjun was over 170 cm.
Chen Wanjun’s shirt was a bit big on Qiu Shuang, so she could only pull it up.
“You can scram now.”
“Then this shirt…”
“Scram!!!”
Qiu Shuang looked at the completely frenzied Chen Wanjun and felt confused. She could only silently leave the place. After seeing the other person’s figure completely disappear, Chen Wanjun collapsed onto the bed. The moment she closed her eyes, all she could think of was that flash of snow-white. Finally, she tightly covered her head and said,
“I am not a lesbian… I am not… I cannot be.”
Wearing the slightly oversized shirt, Qiu Shuang walked alone outside. It was quite late, but then she heard another voice.
“Qiu Shuang, where the hell did you go!”
Song Ya’s voice came from that section of the road. The other person looked clearly anxious. Normally meticulously dressed, her clothes were a little messy. Seeing Qiu Shuang appear, Song Ya finally let out a sigh of relief. Qiu Shuang saw the other person and said nothing, only her expression was somewhat displeased.
Song Ya didn’t care much. Her gaze swept towards the somewhat baggy clothes, and her brows furrowed, but she didn’t say anything, directly pulling Qiu Shuang into the car.
Qiu Shuang remained silent in the car, watching the luxurious car take her into that luxurious house…
Going up floor after floor of stairs, as soon as they entered the house, Song Ya pushed Qiu Shuang onto the bed and directly lifted Qiu Shuang’s top. Qiu Shuang subconsciously tried to stop her but flinched back the moment her hand touched the other person’s.
“What’s wrong?”
“Whose shirt is this?”
“Wanjun’s…”
“Why are you wearing her clothes for no reason!”
Hearing Chen Wanjun’s name mentioned, Song Ya exploded like a lit bomb in that instant, and then directly ripped off Qiu Shuang’s top.
“You are not allowed to wear her clothes! I hate her the most!!!”
Qiu Shuang rolled her eyes and said nothing, only covering her chest.
“Okay, okay, I’ll do it myself, don’t be angry.”
Seeing Qiu Shuang obediently taking off Chen Wanjun’s shirt, Song Ya was overjoyed. Then, she walked towards her closet and started a familiar routine.
“My clothes are more expensive than hers and the quality is better. I wouldn’t wear that old shirt of hers. She didn’t even pick out a nice one for you.”
Song Ya complained while flipping through her closet, occasionally glancing at the pants Qiu Shuang was wearing. Finally, she took out a top that matched the style of her pants and had Qiu Shuang put it on.
“I have good taste, don’t I! Doesn’t this look much prettier now!”
After putting on the clothes, Qiu Shuang looked at herself in the mirror. Song Ya’s dressing style was consistently good. After changing the shirt, she indeed looked much prettier. She nodded. Seeing Qiu Shuang wearing her clothes, Song Ya also smiled triumphantly.
Chen Wanjun, I dare you to keep up your pretentious act. What use is being good at studying? You’re a complete waste who can’t even pick out clothes…
“It’s so late, you shouldn’t go home. I already talked to my mom and your mom. We’ll sleep together tonight.”
“…Okay.”
