I Got Together With the Fake Heiress - Chapter 78
After touring the film and television city in chronological order, the time had already arrived at the fifth day of the National Day holiday.
Perhaps tired from playing non-stop for over two days, on the fifth day, neither Mother Wen, Wen Yunqing, nor Wen Yimeng had much interest in going out. They woke up according to a healthy schedule, finished breakfast, and then half-reclined on the resting sofa. Not one person opened their mouth to plan the day’s activities.
After about ten minutes, Wen Yimeng adjusted her sitting posture and cleared her throat. “Mom, is there anywhere you’d like to go today?”
Mother Wen blinked. After the initial novelty wore off, her enthusiasm had waned a little. “It seems like a very sunny day today. It might be a little hot to go out.”
“Mhm.” Wen Yimeng nodded, then looked expectantly at Mother Wen.
“Hmm—I plan to go to the beauty salon for a full-body treatment. If you two want to go anywhere, feel free to go look around on your own.” Mother Wen felt that her skin seemed to have darkened slightly over the past few days, and she needed to remedy it promptly.
And so, Mother Wen dedicated the daytime to the beauty salon. After making plans with her two daughters to go to the night market together in the evening, she immediately took the beauty salon’s car.
That’s right, the beauty salon’s car. The one Mother Wen frequently visited was a nationally franchised, well-known beauty salon, and since she was a gold card member, the salon provided a complimentary pick-up and drop-off service.
As soon as Mother Wen left, Wen Yunqing and Wen Yimeng immediately lay down on the sofa in their room. It was obvious that neither of them had any intention of going out today.
“Actually, staying home is a pretty good way to take a vacation too,” Wen Yimeng was the first to lie down on the sofa, using Wen Yunqing’s thigh as a pillow and resting her head directly on her leg.
“We’ve been out early and returned late for the past two days, visiting many places. It’s nice to take a break,” Wen Yimeng stretched. “We won’t leave the hotel today during the daytime, right?”
Wen Yunqing nodded. “Sounds good, as long as you don’t get bored.”
“How could I be bored? As long as I have my phone and the internet, no one gets bored,” Wen Yimeng said, unlocking her phone and starting to surf the web.
Wen Yunqing looked at the person lying on her thigh, leaned back comfortably on the sofa, and also picked up her phone to browse recent news. She also contacted her subordinate to ask about Yu Man’s father’s situation.
Wu Jin replied almost instantly: “We have already located the suspect and are currently setting up a plan. If everything goes smoothly, we should be able to arrest the person tonight.”
Wen Yunqing: “Thank you for your hard work. Will the person be handled by the Special Affairs Department or handed over to the police?”
Wu Jin: “The suspect is a practicing sorcerer. We will handle and process him first. Once he becomes an ordinary person, he will be handed over to the police for disposition.”
Wen Yunqing briefly inquired about the details of the case, then encouraged Wu Jin a few times, telling her to do a good job.
“Yunqing, I think I’ve changed my mind.” After surfing the internet for half an hour, Wen Yimeng tugged at her girlfriend’s sleeve. “It looks like there are some good movies out for the National Day holiday. Why don’t we go watch a movie? That won’t be tiring.”
“We can do that. What kind of movie do you want to see?” Wen Yunqing closed the webpage she was browsing and opened the movie ticket booking app. “A patriotic movie, or a comedy?”
“Let’s just watch the one with the highest rating,” Wen Yimeng said. She searched for the movie reviews and found that the ones ranked at the top were all positive reviews. She had to scroll down for a long time to see any mixed or poor reviews.
Wen Yunqing held her phone. “The highest-rated one is a light comedy, My Hometown. It seems to be a period drama. Do you want to see it?”
Wen Yimeng got up from Wen Yunqing’s lap, grabbing her arm. “A period drama is fine, as long as the plot is interesting.”
“Alright. The morning tickets only have seats left on the edges, so I’ve booked for 2:30 PM. We’ll grab lunch nearby first, then watch the movie,” Wen Yunqing quickly planned the rest of the day’s itinerary. “After the movie, we can go pick up Mom and have dinner together.”
Wen Yimeng had no objections to this arrangement. After glancing at the time on her phone, she returned to her previous posture. “I want to nap for a bit. Call me when it’s time to go out for lunch.”
“Are you sure?” Wen Yunqing couldn’t help but check the time on her phone. It was only a little past nine. They wouldn’t be leaving until past eleven at the earliest. Was she planning to lie on her lap and sleep for two hours?
“What’s wrong? Can’t I sleep?” Wen Yimeng raised an eyebrow.
Wen Yunqing certainly didn’t dare to refuse, so she could only subtly suggest, “If you’re going to sleep for two hours, it might be more comfortable on the bed than here.”
“I’m just napping; I’m not really sleeping,” Wen Yimeng moved her head slightly. “We went to sleep at ten yesterday and woke up at seven this morning, so that’s nine hours.”
“Hmm?” Wen Yunqing raised an eyebrow. “Are you saying you’ve slept enough and aren’t tired now?”
“Not exactly. I’m getting a little sleepy just lying here,” Wen Yimeng said honestly. “Since there’s nothing important to do anyway, why not sleep for a bit?”
Wen Yunqing calculated in her mind. Speaking of which, she and Yimeng had been sleeping very quietly for two nights now. Since they were idle anyway…
“Then should we engage in some meaningful sleep?” Wen Yunqing asked. “What do you think?”
“Meaningful sleep?” Wen Yimeng immediately understood Wen Yunqing’s intention. Mom was out for a facial today, and the room next door was empty. In a sense, it seemed even more suitable to do something now than at night…
“It’s daytime right now,” Wen Yimeng stated a fact. She was tempted but also a little hesitant.
“That’s true. Well, then let’s change the activity,” Wen Yunqing said with a smile. “How about we review the talismans I taught you a few days ago?”
“The ones you taught me a few days ago?” Wen Yimeng was stunned, subconsciously touching her waist. Wasn’t that the Obedience Talisman she learned a few days ago?
No way. It’s still daytime. Are we going to play so wildly?
Wen Yimeng silently swallowed. “I mean, I can, but I’m the one who needs to review. Logically speaking, shouldn’t only I be the one using the talisman?”
Wen Yunqing’s smile widened. “From a certain perspective, what you said is correct.”
However, there are exceptions to everything. If a student hasn’t mastered certain knowledge, it’s perfectly acceptable for the teacher to provide some guidance.
The saying “When the belly is full, the mind contemplates lust” is quite accurate.
Happy times always pass quickly. Because they needed to shower, their departure time was delayed until twelve o’clock. Adding the time spent on the road and on lunch afterward, they almost missed the movie ticket inspection time.
Before entering the cinema, Wen Yimeng couldn’t help but glance at Wen Yunqing’s collar. She had bitten her collarbone then. Once she put on clothes, it shouldn’t be very noticeable, right?
“Our seats are here.” Wen Yunqing seriously checked the seat numbers, took her girlfriend’s hand, and sat down in their seats. Then she opened the bag she was carrying. “This is your milk tea, five parts sugar.”
“Thanks.” Wen Yimeng took it and placed it in the cup holder. “I think we forgot to buy popcorn.”
“Oh?” Wen Yunqing paused. “The show should start with advertisements for a while. I’ll go buy a bucket now.”
Wen Yimeng nodded. “I’ll go with you.”
“No need, just wait here. I’ll just go buy it by the ticket counter.” Wen Yunqing’s seat was closer to the aisle. She took her phone and quickly walked towards the passage.
Wen Yimeng massaged her forehead, taking the opportunity to clear the indecent thoughts from her mind. She leaned back against the seat and focused on watching the advertisements.
“Hi, beautiful, are you watching the movie alone?” A voice came from the seat diagonally behind them. “I’m alone too. How about we watch together?”
Wen Yimeng looked back along the sound. Borrowing the light from the big screen, she could roughly make out the person who spoke. He looked about twenty years old and was fairly handsome, probably the type who could be considered the “class heartthrob.”
“No, thank you. I’m not alone,” Wen Yimeng politely refused, then withdrew her gaze and waited for Wen Yunqing to return with the popcorn.
The boy was surprised to be rejected and couldn’t help but touch his face. He didn’t have any pimples, and his beard was shaved. Had his appearance declined?
Just as the boy was wondering, Wen Yunqing returned, holding a bucket of popcorn. Just as his eyes lit up and he prepared to strike up another conversation, he saw Wen Yunqing sit in the seat in front of him, pick up a piece of popcorn with her right hand, and feed it to the person next to her.
Holy crap. No way. Did these two beauties get together internally? Are they in that kind of relationship?
The boy first blinked, then rubbed his eyes again. For some unknown reason, he began to console himself.
I must be overthinking it. Good girlfriends probably feed each other like this too, right? After all, when girls have a close relationship, it’s truly very close.
Perhaps the boy hadn’t successfully convinced himself, because during the movie, he constantly lowered his gaze to look at Wen Yunqing and Wen Yimeng.
Then he successively noticed: their hands were intertwined; they fed each other multiple times; the short-haired girl even bit the long-haired girl’s finger several times, and then her cheek was pinched.
Their heads leaned in close. It seemed the plot was boring, and the long-haired girl was getting sleepy.
Hiss—They kissed, right? It must have been on the cheek! Wait, that’s the corner of the mouth! If it weren’t for the infrared surveillance in the cinema, they would definitely be kissing on the lips!
Sure enough, they are in that kind of relationship! Heavens, why is my luck always so bad? Every time I try to hit on a girl, she already has a partner!
The boy felt a bit down and silently retracted his gaze, trying hard to focus his attention on the movie.
“Yunqing, the boy behind us seems to be secretly watching us,” the boy’s gaze was quite direct, so much so that Wen Yimeng felt it.
Wen Yunqing chuckled softly. “Let him look. You are my little darling and my girlfriend anyway. No matter how much he looks, you are mine.”
Wen Yimeng let out a soft “hmph.” “If you put it that way, you are mine too.”
“Yes, yes, I’m yours too,” Wen Yunqing said with a smile.
Noticing the boy’s gaze sweeping over again, she directly kissed her girlfriend on the mouth.
What are you looking at? Want to eat some dog food?
