I Got A Girlfriend After Losing My Memory (Transmigration) - Chapter 26
Suddenly, Tao Ran finally released her hand.
Tang Fuzhi breathed a sigh of relief, thinking the ordeal was finally over. But in the next instant, Tao Ran’s fingers slid down to her collarbone.
As if confirming the location of the red mole, Tao Ran’s hand moved left and right, even brushing against the girl’s soft skin without stopping.
Tang Fuzhi’s heart pounded wildly, as if it were about to burst from her chest. Her limbs felt weak, and even the hand she used to cover Tao Ran’s eyes loosened slightly, barely blocking her vision.
Only when Tao Ran’s fingertip landed on the red mole did she finally stop.
Tang Fuzhi’s breathing grew heavy, her soft, honeyed voice sounding sweet and weak as she said, “You… you’re not allowed to move anymore.”
Tao Ran chuckled softly, her deep voice tickling Tang Fuzhi’s heart. The red mole on her chest began to faintly burn. “If you won’t let me see, then I’ll just have to find my own way to ‘see’ how beautiful my girlfriend looks in that outfit.”
As if to prove her words, Tao Ran’s hand left the mole and moved to the blue fabric.
Sensing something was wrong, Tang Fuzhi instinctively pressed her knee against Tao Ran’s, stopping her from going further. She stared at her in disbelief, completely unprepared for such a bold move.
Then it dawned on her: Tao Ran’s eyes were covered, she couldn’t see anything. And Tang Fuzhi’s hands were pressed over her eyes, blocking her vision.
In the end, Tang Fuzhi relented. She gave up trying to cover Tao Ran’s eyes and instead reached out to stop her hand. At that moment, Tao Ran’s vision returned.
Seeing Tang Fuzhi’s outfit again, Tao Ran felt a pang of regret. She’d thought they could continue.
Tang Fuzhi’s delicate pink lips were pale from where Tao Ran had bitten them. Her watery eyes glared at Tao Ran with a hint of playful reproach.
But that soft, pleading gaze held no real power. Instead, it only made Tao Ran want to do something more.
Tao Ran’s arm circled Tang Fuzhi’s waist, pulling her close. In this outfit, Tao Ran could feel the girl’s body more clearly.
The memory of her earlier display of vulnerability only fueled Tang Fuzhi’s anger. She tried to push Tao Ran away, but her strength was no match for Tao Ran’s, and she couldn’t break free.
“What else do you want?”
The girl was clearly furious, in need of some soothing.
Tao Ran brushed aside her hair, lowered her head to look at her, and spoke in a low, magnetic voice, her tone impossibly gentle. “I was wrong.”
Tang Fuzhi was the type who responded to tenderness, not force. Faced with this side of Tao Ran, half her anger dissipated.
“You look so beautiful like this. The thought that such a beautiful girl belongs to me… I just can’t resist.”
Tang Fuzhi’s already flushed cheeks grew even hotter. Her gaze darted around, but the corners of her lips were already curving upward unconsciously.
Well, if you insist, I suppose that counts as a compliment.
Her heart had softened, but her words remained defiant. “I don’t belong to you.”
Tao Ran grabbed Tang Fuzhi’s wrist, lifting it before her eyes. The smooth jade bracelet made her skin appear even fairer. Her eyebrows arched slightly. “Our family heirloom is now on your wrist.”
Tang Fuzhi’s eyes flickered. She tugged her hand back, pouting. “It’s not like I wanted to wear it. Grandpa insisted on giving it to me. I can just give it back to you.”
With that, she grasped the bracelet with her other hand, trying to slip it off. Tao Ran quickly stopped her.
Smiling apologetically, Tao Ran said, “It’s not that Tang Tang wanted it. It’s that I wanted you to wear it.”
Tao Ran pressed her forehead against Tang Fuzhi’s, her beautiful peach blossom eyes filled with affection.
Tang Fuzhi’s heart skipped a beat, captivated by her gaze. Her hand froze mid-motion.
Tao Ran’s deep voice, full of emotion, reached her ears.
“I just love you so much. I want to make things official as soon as possible.”
Tang Fuzhi had known Tao Ran loved her since the day she woke up. They were girlfriends, having been together for four years, yet Tao Ran’s affection had never waned.
During the past week, they had hugged, kissed, and slept in the same bed.
She could feel Tao Ran’s affection for her, and the reactions of those around them confirmed it. The only thing missing was hearing Tao Ran say it herself.
But in that moment, Tao Ran looked into her eyes, her arms wrapped around her waist. The cool, crisp scent of cedarwood filled the small bathroom as they breathed each other’s air, their bodies pressed tightly together.
Then Tao Ran confessed her feelings.
She said she liked her very much.
Tang Fuzhi admitted that, in that moment, she was completely captivated by Tao Ran.
Even as Tao Ran’s lips descended, Tang Fuzhi made no move to resist.
They had kissed many times before: passionately, calmly, briefly.
But never before had Tang Fuzhi felt her heart so full.
Their lips met, their breaths mingling hotly. Tang Fuzhi’s legs grew weak, as if she were standing for the first time again.
Tao Ran’s hand tightened around her waist, lifting the young woman onto the bathroom counter.
The girl, who had previously been tilting her head back to kiss, now found herself leaning forward instead.
Tao Ran seemed to have taken control of the kiss.
After what felt like an eternity, Tao Ran finally released Tang Fuzhi.
From her vantage point, Tang Fuzhi could clearly see the expression on Tao Ran’s face. At the same time, Tao Ran caught a glimpse of Tang Fuzhi’s reflection in the mirror behind her.
The woman’s delicate features were flushed with desire, yet her eyes still held a hint of possessiveness. Her fair cheeks were tinged with a rosy blush, and her maple-red lipstick was smeared across her lips, which parted slightly as she gasped for breath. The V-neck of her shirt had been tugged askew by Tang Fuzhi’s earlier movements, revealing glimpses of her soft, white skin, making her look utterly alluring.
Tang Fuzhi swallowed unconsciously.
A beautiful woman.
She was tempting her, and Tang Fuzhi was tempting her in return.
Tao Ran had seen Tang Fuzhi’s body before, but back then, Tang Fuzhi had been completely unconscious, her allure nowhere near the level of what it was now.
The Tang Fuzhi before her now was vibrant, lively, and possessed that unique girlish shyness that made her utterly irresistible, making one yearn to crush her into their very bones.
Noticing Tao Ran’s gaze growing increasingly fervent, Tang Fuzhi trembled as she covered Tao Ran’s eyes again, her voice shaking as she whispered, “I… I’m tired.”
It was a flimsy excuse for rejection.
Tao Ran recognized it instantly, but seeing the girl’s limbs already limp with exhaustion, her eyes rimmed with red and glistening with physiological tears, she ultimately relented and let her go.
Tang Fuzhi woke up late the next morning. After all, she’d spent the entire previous day shopping and had been thoroughly teased by Tao Ran that evening. She was genuinely exhausted.
She wanted to check the time but was too lazy to move. The bed was so comfortable, and the pillow was soft. Perhaps because Tao Ran had slept there, a faint cedar scent lingered in the covers, making it feel as if Tao Ran were still beside her.
Tang Fuzhi lingered in bed for a while until her stomach rumbled loudly. Reluctantly, she got up, grabbed her phone, and checked the time.
10:05 AM
Wow, it really is late.
Lunch was only two hours away.
Remembering what had happened the night before, she pursed her lips, still a little embarrassed.
Even though Tao Ran had gone a bit overboard, Tang Fuzhi had to admit she’d enjoyed it too.
Kissing was never a one-sided pleasure, so today Tang Fuzhi planned to visit Tao Ran at work again, just like yesterday.
What a thoughtful girlfriend I am, she thought to herself, basking in her own self-admiration.
Just as she was putting down her phone to get ready, she saw someone who shouldn’t have been there.
She rubbed her eyes and looked up at Tao Ran, still incredulous. “Why are you still here?”
Hearing her voice, Tao Ran stopped what she was doing, walked over, and gently patted Tang Fuzhi’s head. Her voice was low and soothing. “Waiting for you.”
Tang Fuzhi, still groggy from sleep, wasn’t quite thinking straight, but her subconscious remembered Tao Ran’s work schedule. “But aren’t you supposed to be at work?”
It was already two hours past her usual start time.
Of course, since Tao Ran owned the company, no one would dare question her tardiness.
Tao Ran’s lips curved into a faint smile, her voice softening with a hint of amusement. “Have you forgotten what happened on your first day back home?”
The first day back home?
What does that have to do with Tao Ran not going to work?
Tang Fuzhi didn’t quite understand, but she rested her chin in her hand and began to recall.
On her first day back, Tao Ran had bumped her head. Tang Fuzhi had used a bottle of ice-cold mineral water to make a cold compress for her, and then…
Suddenly, Tang Fuzhi dropped her hand from her chin, her mind clearing considerably.
Seeing her expression, Tao Ran knew she had remembered. She pinched the girl’s cheek. “Finally remembered?”
Tang Fuzhi looked up, staring at her blankly. “So, you stayed for me…”
Yes, that first day back home, facing an unfamiliar environment, she had been terribly anxious. Only Tao Ran’s presence had calmed her fears.
But when she woke up at noon that day and saw the empty bed, her anxiety had surged to its peak. She had stumbled around, searching everywhere, finally finding Tao Ran in the study. Only at that moment, when she saw Tao Ran, had her heart finally settled.
She had always assumed Tao Ran wouldn’t remember such a trivial thing.
Now that she thought about it, it seemed true. Ever since that day, Tao Ran had always been within sight whenever she woke up, whether at home or in the office.
“But I’m not scared anymore,” Tang Fuzhi said.
She was no longer the anxious Tang Fuzhi she had been back then.
Tao Ran lowered her head slightly, her forehead touching Tang Fuzhi’s. Her beautiful peach blossom eyes reflected a tiny image of Tang Fuzhi. “But I promised you that day.”
In that moment, Tao Ran’s voice echoed the one from that day.
