How Can Two Scummy Alphas Fall in Love - Chapter 3
Chapter 3
The magnificent hotel lobby was bustling with people, with top-tier industry figures from across the capital invited to attend.
Symphony music flowed, and dazzling lights illuminated the room.
Shi Yuan, the host of the banquet, wore a bespoke white gown inlaid with jewelry. Everyone entering would approach her to exchange pleasantries, offering expensive and rare gifts.
Qin Qiao’s father had passed away from illness, leaving Shi Yuan, her mother, as the highest-ranking figure in the family.
Shi Yuan was inherently soft-spoken and lacked business acumen, being a typical pampered Omega from an elite family. Everything inside and outside the Qin family was managed by the sole heir, Qin Qiao.
Anyone who finished greeting Qin’s mother would inevitably seek out Qin Qiao for a few pleasantries.
Ostensibly, this was the birthday banquet for Qin’s mother, but in reality, it was a large-scale networking event centered on the Qin family’s interests.
Calculations for profit were everywhere, as was political infighting and concealed struggles.
Han Fufu hated these occasions the most. She usually delegated miscellaneous social events to her Beta brother. If Qin Qiao hadn’t personally sent her an invitation a few months ago, she wouldn’t have bothered to come.
“Miss Han.”
“CEO Han.”
“Movie Queen Han.”
People passing by were eager to strike up a relationship with Han Fufu. The Han family’s influence was deeply rooted; the Qin family’s rise was entirely dependent on the Han family’s support.
Everyone present knew the focus of the banquet was always the four major families of the capital.
Han Fufu pulled the silk shawl that had slipped off her shoulders back into place, casually flicking a strand of hair from her cheek. “Cong Sheng, if anyone looks for me later, just say you don’t know where I am. For minor business matters, you can decide. For major issues, inform me later.”
“Where are you going?” The assistant sounded nervous, genuinely afraid his boss would just disappear.
Just as Han Fufu was about to reply, she looked past Cong Sheng and discreetly pursed her lips, understanding dawning in her eyes.
“Your CEO Han is naturally coming with me.” A cool voice rang out.
Cong Sheng turned around to see Qin Qiao standing behind him and immediately bowed. “CEO Qin.”
“I’m taking your CEO Han away. You don’t mind, do you?” Qin Qiao spoke lightly, her tone allowing no refusal.
“CEO Han, I’ll follow your instructions.” Cong Sheng bent his body, glanced at Qin Qiao, and quietly retreated.
The heiresses of the Qin and Han families together were bound to attract attention. Qin Qiao pulled Han Fufu toward the VIP lounge.
As their hands clasped, Han Fufu’s slightly cold hand finally warmed up.
She felt a little uncomfortable being led by Qin Qiao and spoke to distract herself. “Did Auntie see my gift? Did she like it?”
“She loved it. She loves whatever you send her.” Qin Qiao brushed back her long hair, the strands scattering over her smooth back.
Qin Qiao was wearing a backless black velvet dress, showing luxurious elegance with a hint of understatement.
“However, in my opinion, your gift was the least heartfelt,” Qin Qiao squeezed Han Fufu’s hand tightly.
“Ouch.” Han Fufu pulled her hand away. “Didn’t Auntie still like it even if it wasn’t heartfelt?”
“Love extends to the crow on the house. My mother loves you. If you were an Omega and married into my family, you would certainly be well taken care of.” Qin Qiao’s lips curved into a faint smile, as if indulging in endless fantasy.
Han Fufu’s ears felt hot. She joked back, “My parents both love you. Why don’t you marry into my family?”
“That’s not impossible. After all, Alphas can apparently get pregnant if they work hard enough, wouldn’t you say?” Qin Qiao’s gaze slowly dropped, staring at Han Fufu’s flat abdomen, drifting further off-topic.
As they walked, their tightly clasped hands, hanging near their skirts, slowly separated. After letting go, their hands occasionally brushed against each other as they walked, the warm touch sparking a gentle sensation in the proximity.
Han Fufu seized the moment, wrapped her hand around Qin Qiao’s wrist again, and stroked the black velvet-cinched waist with her other hand, whispering close to her ear, “You could be the one to carry the child.”
Han Fufu rarely made such bold jokes in the past, but today seemed like a surprise.
Qin Qiao gave Han Fufu a thoughtful look, then smiled and tightened her grip on her hand.
Fortunately, they had reached the lounge. Since there were others inside, they stopped their inappropriate joking, and their clasped hands slowly parted.
They didn’t fully understand the deeper meaning of holding hands, but they knew very clearly that they couldn’t do it openly. They could only hold hands secretly in private, as if seeking warmth.
The lounge door automatically sensed someone and slid open.
“Huh? No one?” Han Fufu sat on the nearest sofa. “Are the Gu and Fu families not coming today?”
There were four major families in the capital: Han, Qin, Fu, and Gu.
“They came earlier. Both families had other engagements later, so they left.” Qin Qiao poured a cup of tea, took two sips, and said, “A few friends just asked if we’re going out for drinks later.”
“If you go, I’ll go.” Han Fufu replied as usual.
Qin Qiao looped her arm around Han Fufu’s neck, settling down right next to her. “That sounds like you can’t live without me.”
“Oh, stop it.” Han Fufu raised her hand to cover Qin Qiao’s mouth, pushing her back slightly.
Qin Qiao stuck out her tongue with a deadpan expression.
The palm of her hand became warm and wet. Han Fufu jumped in surprise. “Hey!”
Her knuckles clenched. Han Fufu saw Qin Qiao’s crimson tongue flick out, and her heartstrings couldn’t help but flutter.
If I could, I would love to tangle with that snake-like sliver of red, to clash and tear at it…
Han Fufu’s eyes narrowed slightly, realizing her thoughts were crossing a boundary. Her expression subtly shifted. She turned her back to Qin Qiao and urged, “Let’s go. If you want a next round, hurry up and call people.”
Qin Qiao’s eyes were sharp. She instantly saw Han Fufu’s awkward expression, and a playful glint flashed in her eyes.
After dinner, the birthday banquet was drawing to a close. Han Fufu sipped the clear tea in her hand, leaning casually on the lounge sofa, waiting for Qin Qiao to finalize the arrangements.
Watching Qin Qiao’s busy figure from afar, Han Fufu was somewhat lost in thought.
Had I ever looked at her this closely before?
Her appearance was cool and self-possessed, but when she truly took charge of the entire scene, she exuded a powerful aura. Undeniably, Qin Qiao was a very perfect, top-tier Alpha.
Just as Han Fufu was idly waiting, her assistant, Cong Sheng, rushed in through the door.
“CEO Qin!” Cong Sheng was panting, clearly having run in from outside.
Han Fufu calmly took another sip of tea. “What’s wrong? You’re so flustered; that’s not like you.”
“Your dance teacher in Tangcheng is insisting on seeing you again, no matter how much I persuade her to leave.” The assistant’s facial features were contorted, indicating his distress.
Han Fufu put down her teacup, saying as if this were commonplace, “You’ve been with me for so long; can’t you handle such a small matter?”
“CEO Qin, this dancer seems to have some…” Cong Sheng lowered his voice. “Some psychological issues. You can’t usually tell, but she’s particularly obsessive about certain things. She said she doesn’t want money. If you don’t see her, she’s threatening… to take her own life.”
Han Fufu’s temple throbbed. She rubbed the bridge of her nose irritably, her tone sharp. “You arranged people around me and didn’t check beforehand? Now you’re telling me she has this condition and that condition?”
“I didn’t know you would take a liking to her,” Cong Sheng was sweating profusely.
Han Fufu lifted her eyelids angrily. “I don’t like her.”
“What do we do now? If we call security to chase her away, I’m afraid she’ll actually hurt herself,” the assistant wiped the sweat from his forehead, trying to sound calm.
Since the situation was explained this way, Han Fufu had no choice but to resolve it herself.
“Fine, I’ll see her. We are going out for drinks later tonight; have her come then.” Han Fufu paused, pointing toward Qin Qiao in the distance. “However, I will make sure she gives up completely.”
“Yes, I understand.” Cong Sheng adjusted his glasses.
He understood. His boss was about to stage the act of “White Moonlight and Cinnabar Mole in deep love for years” with CEO Qin again.
After the assistant left, Han Fufu noticed Qin Qiao was already walking toward her.
“We just separated for a moment, what’s wrong now?” Qin Qiao touched Han Fufu’s cheek with her fingertip. “You look like an angry pufferfish.”
“It’s not that serious. It’s just like you yesterday—I met a difficult Omega.” Han Fufu sighed. “I was only learning to dance. Why is she clinging to me?”
Qin Qiao shrugged. “You played around with her, so she naturally clings to you.”
“I didn’t…” Han Fufu argued weakly. “I didn’t confess, I didn’t kiss or hug her, and I certainly didn’t ask for her pheromones.”
Hearing that last sentence, Qin Qiao coldly smiled and caught Han Fufu’s chin. “Are you insulting me?”
“No, I just said it casually. Qiao Qiao, help me out.” Han Fufu’s tone softened for a rare moment. She tilted her head slightly, her bright eyes twinkling at Qin Qiao.
Qin Qiao reluctantly let go. “We agreed to help each other out. Of course, I’ll help you.”
Han Fufu: “I’ve invited her to the drinks tonight.”
Qin Qiao: “Understood, my Miss Han.”
Late at night, a row of striking supercars was parked at the entrance of the capital’s bar street. Their license plates were sequential single digits. The brightly dressed young masters and misses exited their cars and entered a members-only bar, chatting and laughing.
Qin Qiao had booked the venue, and Han Fufu accompanied her.
In the decadent, neon-lit atmosphere, Han Fufu drank a few extra glasses.
Halfway through the party, an ordinary person, overcoming the assistant’s block, suddenly entered.
“Movie Queen Han, I…” The dancer rushed straight to Han Fufu upon entering, collapsing at her knees with a haggard face.
Han Fufu didn’t move. Instead, Qin Qiao subtly removed the dancer’s hand.
“Miss, what are you to Fufu? Are you a guest, a friend… or a lover?” Qin Qiao asked coldly.
The dancer’s eyes were teary. She completely ignored Qin Qiao, looking up at Han Fufu without blinking. “Movie Queen Han, please, please give me one chance. I love you.”
The wealthy young socialites watching the drama unfold couldn’t help but burst out laughing.
“With that status, it would be hard for her to even aspire to our level, yet she wants to reach for CEO Han,” one young master who frequented various elite families sneered.
Another female Alpha couldn’t help but mock. “I heard she’s a dancer. She’d probably wear out the soles of her shoes dancing and still not be worthy of Miss Han.”
Others also began to laugh.
Han Fufu, the center of attention, remained silent, looking down at the dancer. She felt no pity for the dancer’s tears.
It must be said that seeing the dancer so humble made Han Fufu equally unhappy.
She, too, had once groveled like this to beg her first love to stay.
In the dancer, Han Fufu felt like she saw her own heartbroken self from that year.
“Since you’re here, why don’t you join us for a bit?” Qin Qiao spread her hand generously, gesturing to the others. “Alright, you all keep playing as you were. Continue.”
After Qin Qiao spoke, one of the wealthy second-generation proposed playing the King’s Game.
“The dancer probably can’t play any other games. It’s nice to play a childish game for a change,” a young master suggested.
The dancer only wanted to be with Han Fufu. No matter what others said, her eyes were solely on the Movie Queen.
After a few rounds of the game, everyone present was bullying the little white rabbit who had wandered into the wolf’s den.
The dancer was not angry, sitting obediently beside Han Fufu and accepting all the penalties.
As the game reached its climax, Qin Qiao finally drew the King card.
Han Fufu gave Qin Qiao a meaningful look and lightly cleared her throat twice. The two understood each other perfectly.
Qin Qiao held the golden King card between two fingers. “Player number two… kiss me.”
Han Fufu hadn’t expected Qin Qiao to go this far.
The others, unaware of the underlying plan, started cheering. “Who is it? Number two is lucky.”
Amidst the noise, Han Fufu raised the card displaying the number two.
The crowd went silent. The dancer was stunned.
Qin Qiao smiled. “Come on, Fufu. A kiss between us is nothing, right?”
“Are you sure?” Han Fufu double-checked whether Qin Qiao was acting drunk.
Qin Qiao was nonchalant. “Of course I’m sure.”
The dancer became agitated and tried to interrupt the game. A young lady nearby immediately grabbed her arm, warning her, “You can’t afford to provoke either of them. Don’t disturb them.”
The people around them felt that a kiss between two Alphas was fine, and since they were best friends, no serious issues would arise.
Besides, a kiss between two top-tier Alphas was quite a spectacle.
“Kiss! Kiss!”
“Go for it!”
The crowd began to egg them on.
Qin Qiao first embraced Han Fufu, then patted her on the back. “Fufu, are you scared?”
The feeling of being embraced was pleasant. The moment Han Fufu raised her head, her eyes met Qin Qiao’s.
Having consumed alcohol, their bodies felt warm, and their cells gradually became excited, demanding tight fusion with the other person.
The pheromones of Sandalwood and Spearmint mixed together.
As Han Fufu lifted her chin, her nose accidentally brushed against Qin Qiao’s nose.
Just as they drew closer, Han Fufu, listening to her own pounding heart, was the first to show hesitation. She whispered to Qin Qiao, trying to negotiate, “Qiao Qiao, how about… we forget it?”
Qin Qiao loved the sight of Han Fufu’s blushing face, which was completely different from her usual arrogant heiress demeanor.
“We can’t forget it,” Qin Qiao’s voice was slightly husky. “The person who likes you is watching us. Don’t you want my help anymore?”
The moment she finished speaking, Han Fufu felt Qin Qiao press against the back of her neck, forcing her head upward.
A wave of warm breath exploded onto her lips.
She had expected just a light peck, but the heated atmosphere of the bar forced them to expose their primitive Alpha instincts.
They tore into each other, unable to separate.
