How Can Two Scummy Alphas Fall in Love - Chapter 15
Chapter 15
Han Fufu walked up to Qin Qiao, and the two stood face to face.
As a top-tier Alpha, Qin Qiao was especially sensitive to pheromone scents. She immediately smelled the Omega pheromones emanating from Han Fufu.
“You… have you been in contact with another Omega?” Qin Qiao leaned in for a closer sniff. No, that wasn’t right. The scent seemed to originate from Han Fufu herself, radiating from within, not a scent that had rubbed off or a perfume.
“Of course not. Smell again.”
Han Fufu, seeing that Qin Qiao had detected her change, was a little expectant to see if Qin Qiao would be pleasantly surprised upon learning she had become an Omega.
Qin Qiao moved closer, bending down to sniff at her shoulder.
It was Omega pheromones!
After the sandalwood scent transformed into Omega pheromones, the entire scent was different from before. It was a cloyingly sweet scent. If one didn’t deliberately recall the sandalwood, it would be impossible to imagine this scent was still the former sandalwood.
Qin Qiao was completely astonished and took a step back.
“How can your pheromones smell like an Omega’s? You’re not wearing the pheromone altering instrument bracelet!” Qin Qiao stared at Han Fufu, then grabbed her arm and pulled her closer. “What… what have you been doing secretly these past few days?”
Qin Qiao’s first thought was whether Han Fufu had marked an Omega, and their scents had genuinely merged.
But then she realized, Han Fufu didn’t have any Alpha scent left…
As Qin Qiao’s mind raced, Han Fufu spoke clearly: “I went for a gland transplant. I’m an Omega now.”
“What?” Qin Qiao frowned.
Han Fufu proactively draped her arm over Qin Qiao’s shoulder. “You can marry me now. You don’t need to go on blind dates. Didn’t you say that if I were an Omega, you would marry me?”
“You…” Qin Qiao’s brow furrowed even deeper. “We are just friends. Are you insane?”
“We’ve slept together, and we’re still friends? Are you insane or am I?” Han Fufu was emotionally charged. “You said you liked the feeling of being with me.”
“Yes, I do like it,” Qin Qiao answered, but her expression remained strange.
I like it, but liking isn’t useful…
Everything the Han family owes me must be repaid.
Han Fufu’s smile gradually broadened. “I knew you liked me, Qiao Qiao. I like you too, very much.”
She looped her arm through Qin Qiao’s and leaned against her. “Send away all those Omegas around you. You have me now, right?”
Qin Qiao gazed quietly at Han Fufu. She considered the situation. For the sake of her grand plan, she couldn’t push Han Fufu too far away for now. It was a perfect opportunity to exploit Han Fufu’s undivided attention to tamper with the Han family’s assets.
With this thought, Qin Qiao’s expression softened slightly. She put her arm around Han Fufu. “Fufu, I understand. Let’s leave it at this for today. I’m too tired. We can talk about everything else tomorrow, alright?”
“Just sleep here. It’s so late,” Han Fufu urged.
Qin Qiao refused. “I still have things to attend to at the company. And this… I need some time to digest it.”
“Fine. I understand. I also need to inform the people around me about this,” Han Fufu sat on the sofa. “Sigh, it’s really troublesome.”
“Did you change your gland for me?” Qin Qiao suddenly asked.
Han Fufu answered without hesitation: “Of course it was for you. If it weren’t for you, I might not have been so decisive about the change.”
“You like me that much?” Qin Qiao countered.
Han Fufu was a little embarrassed at this point. She waved her hand at Qin Qiao. “Alright, didn’t you say you have things at the company? Go on.”
“Mhm, good night.” Qin Qiao’s tone softened toward Han Fufu, but the moment she turned to leave, her face turned cold again.
After Qin Qiao left, Han Fufu felt a persistent chill in her heart.
She felt that Qin Qiao’s attitude towards her was different from what she had imagined.
“Honestly, after changing my gland, I’ve become a coward,” Han Fufu scoffed at herself, thinking she was just overthinking.
Over the next few days, she would gradually have to inform the people close to her about her gland transplant. The thought of it still made her annoyed.
That night, Han Fufu’s feeling of annoyance was well-founded.
For a long time after, Han Fufu’s surrounding relationships underwent dramatic changes.
The most immediate change was her relationship with her family. She and her mother didn’t contact each other often to begin with, and after this incident, Madam Han was so angry that she didn’t even want to see her.
As for her former hangers-on and fair-weather friends, Han Fufu found them particularly interesting.
The Alphas she used to party with either stopped inviting her out for drinks, or some with ulterior motives tried to make a move on Han Fufu.
The thought of those Alphas, who used to consider themselves drinking buddies, now daring to entertain such vile ideas about her.
The recollection filled Han Fufu with irritation, and she couldn’t help but sigh.
Assistant Cong Sheng heard his boss sigh and immediately became alert. “CEO Han, we can’t be sighing. Frequent sighing brings bad luck.”
“What can I do? Changing my gland has made those dirty people fantasize about me,” Han Fufu made a gesture of fanning herself. “The thought of being imagined by those incompetent, playboy low-quality Alphas just disgusts me.”
“They wouldn’t dare to actually lay a hand on you, don’t worry,” Cong Sheng said before lowering his head to get back to work.
Han Fufu had just finished the work at hand and was listlessly staring out the window, lost in thought.
She wondered what Qin Qiao was doing at that moment.
Was she thinking of her?
Just as Han Fufu was resting, Cong Sheng’s expression suddenly changed. He immediately rushed to her with his laptop. “CEO Han, something has happened! Your brother, something has happened.”
“What is it? What trouble has he stirred up this time? Did he injure someone, or miscalculate money?” Han Fufu had bailed out her good brother from many messes, and this time was no exception, so she didn’t take it too seriously.
Anyway, no matter how careless her brother was, with his brain, he couldn’t cause any major incident.
Unfortunately, the reality was the complete opposite of Han Fufu’s assumption.
Cong Sheng pointed at the computer. “Manager Han has been arrested.”
“What?” Han Fufu finally turned her attention to the contents on the computer.
After a careful read, Han Fufu’s face grew increasingly grim.
Her brother, in an attempt to secure investment, had not only mortgaged a portion of his shares but had also assisted the investor with several illegal activities.
The matter came to light, and her brother was immediately taken into custody. The case was widespread, and even with Han Fufu’s best efforts, securing his release would be extremely difficult.
“Idiot… Idiot!” Han Fufu was so angry she slammed her fist on the desk. “Does he know how much loss his idiocy will bring to the family?”
Cong Sheng understood the severity of the situation. He asked Han Fufu, “CEO Han, what should we do?”
“It definitely won’t work with just our family trying to save him. We need to talk to Qiao Qiao about this. Her maternal uncle is the supervisor for the area where my brother got into trouble. If Qiao Qiao’s uncle can loosen the grip, then maybe… there’s a chance to reverse this,” Han Fufu walked over to the window. “Also, the Fu family. This matter concerns venture capital. If Fu Yan is willing to help, coupled with Qiao Qiao’s help, we might save my brother.”
“I’ll contact them right away. As for CEO Qin…” Cong Sheng was hesitant to deal with Qin Qiao directly. He implied that Han Fufu should speak to her personally, given their close relationship.
Han Fufu might even marry Qin Qiao in the future.
“Mhm,” Han Fufu turned her back, her face etched with worry.
By nightfall, Cong Sheng finally managed to contact someone from the Fu family, but Fu Yan feigned ignorance and was unwilling to intervene in the matter. She wasn’t even willing to put in a good word, constantly making excuses.
She claimed the authorities were cracking down hard and she couldn’t casually help people.
Cong Sheng was at a loss. “CEO Han, what should we do now?”
“Fu Yan has never been on my side. She’s unpredictable in her actions, and people say she’s even harder to deal with than Qiao Qiao.” Han Fufu had no choice but to start with Qin Qiao. “I’ll go to Qiao Qiao directly. Drive me to her house.”
“Yes, CEO Han, I’ll take you there.” Cong Sheng was dutiful. He took the car keys and headed to the garage to get the car.
When Han Fufu went downstairs, she got into the car and was driven to the entrance of Qin Qiao’s house.
After getting out of the car, Han Fufu went upstairs alone. Standing in front of the electronic lock, she entered the password Qin Qiao had previously told her.
“Incorrect password!”
The lighting at the door wasn’t great. Han Fufu thought she had entered it incorrectly, so she tried again.
“Incorrect password!”
“Incorrect password!”
Two successive incorrect password prompts. One more incorrect attempt and the lock would automatically seal.
Han Fufu stood by the door, about to call Qin Qiao, when she heard footsteps behind her.
“What are you doing at my house?”
It was Qin Qiao’s voice.
Han Fufu turned to Qin Qiao. “I came to ask for your help.”
“If you need help, you can come to the company. Isn’t coming to my house inconvenient?” Qin Qiao walked past Han Fufu and opened the lock directly with her fingerprint.
Han Fufu was helpless. “Is coming to the company any different from coming to your house? Don’t you welcome me?”
Qin Qiao said nothing, simply stepping aside to gesture for Han Fufu to enter.
Once inside, Han Fufu pointed at the door lock and asked: “Qiao Qiao, is your lock broken? I entered the password several times, and it kept saying it was wrong.”
“It’s not broken. I changed the password,” Qin Qiao said.
Han Fufu was curious. “Why did you change the password?”
“Too many people knew the old one. I was afraid someone would harass me and follow me home, so I changed it.” Qin Qiao explained as she took off her jacket and tossed it casually onto the sofa.
Han Fufu was there for important business, so she didn’t focus on the lock anymore. “Qiao Qiao, I came to you because I need your help. My brother’s situation… do you know about it?”
“I know,” Qin Qiao answered directly.
Han Fufu was about to ask if Qin Qiao could help, but Qin Qiao interrupted her before she could speak.
“I can’t help you. You shouldn’t have come to me,” Qin Qiao sat down on the sofa, her dark eyes fixed on Han Fufu.
“What did you say?” Han Fufu was surprised. In the past, no matter what she asked Qin Qiao for help with, she always obliged.
This was the first time Qin Qiao had ever refused to help her.
