How Can Two Scummy Alphas Fall in Love - Chapter 11
Chapter 11
“No solution, and you come to me meaning… I should run away quickly?” Han Fufu’s fingertip lightly tapped the armrest of the lounge chair.
The manager was stumped by the question, unsure how to reply.
“CEO Han, shall I call someone?” Cong Sheng always prioritized his boss’s safety.
Han Fufu raised her hand, stopping Cong Sheng. “It’s fine. I’ll contact Qiao Qiao. She’ll send people to handle it. You go monitor those media people and inform me immediately if anything happens.”
“Yes,” the manager left Han Fufu’s personal phone and departed.
As soon as the outsider was gone, Han Fufu called Qin Qiao.
The phone rang busy for a long time, with no answer.
Han Fufu frowned at the phone, hung up, and dialed again.
Still no answer.
“So busy?” Han Fufu put down the phone. “If she won’t answer, then you notify the bodyguards to come, just in case of trouble.”
Cong Sheng nodded, just about to leave to arrange for the bodyguards, when someone else entered the room.
“What is it again… Hmm? A Ying?” Han Fufu’s frown smoothed out upon seeing the visitor.
Yue Ying was followed by two tall, burly bodyguards in black suits. She walked up to Han Fufu, completely fascinated by Han Fufu in her period costume. She looked her over repeatedly. “Aiya, you look so beautiful like this. I love it.”
“Why are you here?” Han Fufu asked curiously.
Yue Ying’s focus was still on Han Fufu’s attire. “You really look different with black hair. You look so much purer. It’s refreshing.”
“Stop fooling around. How did you know about the film set too?” Han Fufu asked.
Yue Ying finally returned to the matter at hand. “I saw the trending topic and prepared to come over. Good thing I’m not too late. Aren’t I a good friend?”
“Thank you,” Han Fufu sighed. “I was going to ask Qiao Qiao to send people to handle it, but she seems too busy to answer the phone.”
“Her? Uncle Qin is busy helping her with blind dates. Of course she’s busy,” Yue Ying shrugged.
Hearing this, Han Fufu felt as though a basin of cold water had been poured over her head. “What did you say? Blind dates? Impossible.”
“I saw it with my own eyes,” Yue Ying sat down comfortably in the lounge. “My father told me to reconnect with people in the social circle. At the cocktail parties these past few days, I saw Qin Qiao with the same Omega. It looks like her blind date.”
“Impossible. She didn’t tell me,” Han Fufu insisted she didn’t believe it. She remembered Han Fufu didn’t want to get married at all.
Yue Ying spread her hands. “With your and Qin Qiao’s status, how can you possibly go through life without marrying? Isn’t marriage just a transaction for people like you?”
If the timing weren’t so critical, Han Fufu would immediately investigate Qin Qiao’s blind dates.
The noise outside the studio was almost drowning out the conversation inside. Han Fufu couldn’t afford to ignore the current situation.
“If I can’t reach Qiao Qiao, then contact our own people. Even if the news can’t be suppressed, we can at least get those media people to leave,” Han Fufu wiped her hands with a towel. “If that doesn’t work, I have plenty of ways to make them leave politely.”
“Fufu, don’t you think this whole thing today is strange?” Yue Ying pointed towards the door. “Those people should all be smart. How dare they block your way? Aren’t they afraid of not being able to make a living in the capital?”
With Yue Ying pointing it out, Han Fufu also felt the situation was highly suspicious, but she was stumped for a solution for the time being.
“I have an idea. Why don’t we just ignore it and see what they stir up?” Yue Ying fiddled with the prayer beads in her hand.
Some things are unclear at the start. It’s better to leave them alone. When some people get anxious, they will naturally reveal themselves.
Han Fufu understood this simple logic. At least she was safe for now. If there was media outside, so be it. Those media people, being paid to do a job, wouldn’t have the guts to actually storm the set and confront Han Fufu.
No one would be so foolish as to intentionally pit an egg against a rock.
Han Fufu slowly calmed her restless heart, picking up the tea nearby and taking a few sips.
“Since there’s nothing to do and filming is impossible for now, tell me about seeing Qiao Qiao on a blind date.”
“Fufu, why are you so concerned about Qin Qiao’s marriage? Shouldn’t you be happy for her and give her a big red envelope when she gets married?” Yue Ying recalled that Qin Qiao’s wedding would surely be grand. She intended to ask Han Fufu if she would be Qin Qiao’s bridesmaid. As she looked up, she saw deep displeasure in Han Fufu’s eyes.
Hearing about Qin Qiao getting married, the anxiety and jealousy completely filled Han Fufu’s chest.
She wouldn’t allow it. She absolutely wouldn’t allow another person to snatch away the only person she truly cared about.
“Fufu, what’s wrong?” Yue Ying held and shook Han Fufu’s arm.
Han Fufu realized she was losing control of her emotions. She shifted her body, straightened her back, and said, “I still don’t believe she’ll get married.”
“You always say you don’t believe she’ll get married. What, are you afraid she won’t go out partying with you anymore after she marries?” Yue Ying only thought Han Fufu was worried about this.
Before Han Fufu could reply, another person burst into the small resting room.
Speak of the devil and he shall appear. Just as they mentioned Qin Qiao, she arrived.
“Come with me.” Qin Qiao, upon entering, immediately wanted to take Han Fufu away without a word.
Yue Ying knew Qin Qiao, and she instinctively disliked her.
She had heard too many rumors about Qin Qiao long ago. At first, she didn’t believe them, but later, a well-off classmate of hers fell for Qin Qiao, only to be used and discarded.
Qin Qiao’s business methods were ruthless, and her approach to solving problems was sometimes extremely decisive. Moreover, Qin Qiao seemed heartless. Anyone who became close to her always came to a bad end.
“Fufu, it’s too dangerous for you to go out now,” Yue Ying reached out and grabbed Han Fufu’s wrist.
Han Fufu was caught in the middle, in a difficult position.
Qin Qiao saw their clasped hands, and her brow subtly twitched. “Who are you to Fufu?”
“I’m her friend.” Yue Ying hadn’t had much confrontation with Qin Qiao. She had a strong family background and wasn’t afraid of Qin Qiao.
Qin Qiao looked at Yue Ying coldly, enunciating each word. “I am her only friend.”
“You are truly arrogant,” Yue Ying didn’t hide her displeasure. “You may have met Fufu earlier than me, but honestly, I’m no less caring toward her than you are.”
Qin Qiao was typically not one to talk much, but today, she uncharacteristically spoke several emotionally charged sentences to Yue Ying.
Seeing Qin Qiao and Yue Ying on the verge of a confrontation, Han Fufu had to intervene. “Alright, alright, stop arguing.”
The two arguing women simultaneously looked at Han Fufu, their eyes seeming to say, “Fufu, look at her.”
“I think it’s better to wait until the media outside have left,” Han Fufu suggested.
“No!” Qin Qiao was resolute. “It’s even more dangerous to stay here. Aren’t you afraid someone will sneak onto the set and hurt you directly?”
“How can that be? A Ying brought bodyguards. Although not many, they can at least ensure my safety.” Han Fufu still believed staying here was safer.
Qin Qiao brushed her hair back in frustration. “I found out that someone in your film crew is connected to Xu Ran’s people. Come with me now.”
“Who is it… Wait, wait!” Before Han Fufu could finish her sentence, Qin Qiao pulled her up from the seat.
Seeing Qin Qiao’s anxious expression, Han Fufu relented. “A Ying, I’ll go with her.”
Qin Qiao didn’t allow Han Fufu to linger any longer and took her away immediately.
“But!” Yue Ying stared in the direction Han Fufu left. “Why can’t you just listen to me for once…”
As soon as they left the set, Han Fufu saw a massive crowd of people gathered.
Qin Qiao had already deployed people to maintain order, then drove Han Fufu out of the crowd directly.
After driving for a while, Qin Qiao finally spoke. “You should associate less with that Yue Ying.”
“Qiao Qiao, she and I are just friends.” Yue Ying was the one who stayed by Han Fufu’s side when she was heartbroken by her first love.
Qin Qiao abruptly steered the wheel and slammed on the brakes, stopping the car by the roadside.
If Han Fufu hadn’t been wearing her seatbelt, she would have hit the windshield.
Han Fufu didn’t know why Qin Qiao was angry. “What is wrong with you now?”
“Would you also do with her the things we did?” Qin Qiao asked abruptly.
“Huh?” Han Fufu was stunned for a moment. She realized why Qin Qiao was brooding.
Is she jealous?
How cute.
“A Ying and I…” Han Fufu deliberately slowed her speech, waiting for Qin Qiao to get anxious before saying, “She and I are just friends. How could we do the things we do?”
Hearing this answer, a satisfied expression appeared on Qin Qiao’s face. She hooked Han Fufu’s chin and slowly parted her lips. “Remember, we are more than friends. Only I can kiss you.”
“Can we still be called friends after kissing?” Han Fufu remembered the popular term “intimate friends” in the circle recently. She joked, “What, are we intimate friends? Friends who kiss?”
“Think what you want, just don’t touch anyone else.” Qin Qiao restarted the car and slowly pulled back onto the road. “I’m a clean freak, and that extends to my relationships. You should understand what I mean.”
“Me too. So you can’t have anyone else either.” Han Fufu’s meaning here was a bit like questioning Qin Qiao, asking if she truly was going on blind dates.
Qin Qiao was smart and immediately understood the underlying meaning. “I’m just going through the motions. Aren’t you doing the same?”
“Qiao Qiao, tell me… is it possible for us to just make do with each other for life?” Han Fufu asked casually.
Qin Qiao didn’t respond.
Han Fufu thought she hadn’t heard her question.
Just as Han Fufu was about to give up on asking Qin Qiao such sentimental things, Qin Qiao suddenly said, “If you were an Omega, I would definitely marry you.”
“Really?”
Qin Qiao glanced at Han Fufu. “But you’re an Alpha. Two Alphas marrying is absurd. But I like being with you, and you feel the same way. Since we both feel this way, why don’t we just find warmth in each other? Don’t dwell on those unrealistic things.”
Han Fufu didn’t fully absorb Qin Qiao’s later words. The phrase that kept revolving in her mind was: “If you were an Omega, I would definitely marry you.”
