- Chapter 55.1 - Remember to Open the Door Later
Liu Yu rushed out urgently holding the perfume. Lou Qingshuang was in the room changing clothes. Liu Yu pushed the door open and entered…
Liu Yu rushed out urgently holding the perfume. Lou Qingshuang was currently changing her clothes in the room. As Liu Yu pushed the door open and entered, what met her eyes was a beautiful body, and her gaze darkened.
“What are you doing?” Lou Qingshuang exclaimed, pulling up an ice-blue thin quilt to cover her chest. Her ears beneath her hair turned crimson as she gave Liu Yu a reproachful look.
“Nothing, I just wanted to talk to you.” Liu Yu smiled and closed the door behind her, walking toward Lou Qingshuang with the perfume in her hand.
Liu Yu took off her coat and walked toward Lou Qingshuang step by step. Without the coat, her white shirt was tucked into her suit trousers. Liu Yu raised her hand and unbuttoned two buttons, her black lingerie faintly visible. Lou Qingshuang’s breath hitched, and she instinctively took a step back. “What are you doing?”
“I’ve come to exchange some feelings with you.” Liu Yu walked to Lou Qingshuang’s side with an enchanting smile on her face.
An arm wrapped around the half-dressed Lou Qingshuang, pulling her tightly against her front. Liu Yu looked deep into her eyes. “Was that bottle of perfume made half a month after we met?”
The only time Liu Yu had ever embraced Lou Qingshuang was on a rainy night, and that was also the time she had worn a similar perfume; the layers of the scent were sublimated by the fragrance of roses.
Lou Qingshuang also looked up at her, her eyes shimmering slightly. “Yes, do you like it?”
“I like it. From now on, I’ll only use this perfume.” Liu Yu placed the perfume on the TV cabinet next to the bed, then raised her hand to cup Lou Qingshuang’s chin and gently kissed her.
Lou Qingshuang passively accepted her repeated pecking kisses. Liu Yu kissed her tenderly, her fingers running through Lou Qingshuang’s hair, gently and lingeringly stroking the locks near her ear.
The sunlight from outside streamed in, elongating and blending their silhouettes. The light and shadows overlapped, and the two of them merged together as well.
More than an hour later, Lou Qingshuang emerged from the bedroom drying her hair, with Liu Yu following behind her doing the same.
“Are you hungry?” Liu Yu, wearing a white bathrobe, followed behind Lou Qingshuang.
“Humph, you tell me if I’m hungry or not.” Lou Qingshuang rolled her eyes at her in annoyance.
Liu Yu reached out and hugged her. “My fault.”
Liu Yu pulled Lou Qingshuang to sit before the reheated meals. Fortunately, she always had a complete service team around her at all times.
Lou Qingshuang kept her head down to eat, having no desire to talk to Liu Yu; she was starving after being tossed around for an hour or two.
If she had known she’d have to “work overtime” upon returning, she wouldn’t have brought out the perfume.
This perfume also succeeded in making Liu Yu’s heart softer and making her like Lou Qingshuang even more. The way she looked at Lou Qingshuang was so tender it seemed as if water could be squeezed out of her gaze.
After finishing their meal, the two lay on the sofa together watching the news.
Liu Yu held Lou Qingshuang in her arms; Lou Qingshuang leaned against Liu Yu’s chest to rest. Gentle and sated pheromones circulated in the air.
“I might have to go on a field assignment with the film crew later, so I might not be home.” Lou Qingshuang opened her eyes and looked at Liu Yu’s smooth and beautiful jawline.
“Do you want me to accompany you?” Liu Yu kissed Lou Qingshuang’s hair.
“No need. The field assignment will be three days at most. Just wait for me at home.” Lou Qingshuang sat up straight and then lay back on the sofa.
“Alright then.” Liu Yu rubbed against Lou Qingshuang’s head reluctantly.
Two days later, Qin Nan finished negotiating the cooperation with the film crew. Lou Qingshuang brought four subordinates into the crew. They would stay there for three days, filming all the advertisements at once before leaving to wait for the subsequent launch.
There were many people in the crew. As soon as Lou Qingshuang arrived, the director and the producer came out to welcome them.
“Welcome, President Lou. President Lou can watch our crew’s filming first, and then we will start filming the advertisement this afternoon.” The director was a tall, thin female Beta who was somewhat socially anxious and spoke in a very low voice.
“Alright. Director, you can go ahead with the filming first. After the filming is finished at noon, we will come to dock the work and confirm the filming tasks.” Lou Qingshuang nodded, looking at the director who wore black-rimmed glasses.
The director breathed a sigh of relief seeing that the investor was so easy to talk to. Qin Nan’s assistant, standing beside Lou Qingshuang, directly coordinated the work with the producer to understand today’s filming tasks.
Lou Qingshuang and her assistant, Xiao He, wandered around the set. Both of them had work badges identical to the director’s, so no one approached them to ask questions along the way.
However, many people were surprised by Lou Qingshuang’s beauty. She wore only light makeup, but her aura was very strong. Every gesture was clean and sharp, and her eyes were filled with the decisiveness of a leader.
“Is this the new investor? She’s so beautiful, even more beautiful than Sister Ya.” Two staff members wearing photography vests whispered to each other.
Lou Qingshuang looked at the people coming and going. “There are so many extras in this crew.”
“This is a big scene. It seems the female lead is holding a concert and confessing to her lover.” Xiao He remembered seeing this scene in the filming tasks sent over; an outline had been provided explaining that their cosmetic advertisement would be incorporated into this scene.
“Then we can also gain some insight into how movies are filmed.” Lou Qingshuang was a bit curious.
“This scene seems to involve rain, so we should stay further away.” Xiao He pulled out her phone and checked the schedule.
“Do you want to be an extra and try acting?” Lou Qingshuang had slots for extras, the kind of passerby roles with one or two lines.
“President Lou, you forgot—I have social anxiety.” Xiao He’s face turned red.
“Hahaha, alright then.” Lou Qingshuang couldn’t help but smile at her little assistant. Whenever Xiao He left the laboratory, her face was always stiff for fear that others would see her social anxiety.
Lou Qingshuang took out her phone, snapped two casual photos for Liu Yu, and told her that she had arrived.
Liu Yu, who was in a meeting, heard the phone vibrate. She opened her phone and looked at the photos of Lou Qingshuang. A trace of a smile appeared on her cold face. The subordinate who was reporting work breathed a sigh of relief; he had been questioned by Liu Yu until he was sweating profusely.
[When the filming is over, I will come to pick you up.] Liu Yu sent a message to Lou Qingshuang.
[You can just pick me up at the airport; there’s no need to come to Wu City.] Lou Qingshuang rejected Liu Yu. It would take several hours to drive here from Lu City; why should Liu Yu waste time here when she was so busy?
[I’m off this weekend. I’ll come to accompany you, and we’ll go home together after you finish filming.] Liu Yu thought of being able to accompany Lou Qingshuang tomorrow, and her eyes were tender as she looked at her phone.
[Alright, then I’ll wait for you at the hotel. Let me know when you arrive.] A smile also played on Lou Qingshuang’s face. When she finished sending the last message and looked up, she saw Xiao He looking at her with a face full of gossip.
“What is it?” Lou Qingshuang raised an eyebrow and calmly put away her phone.
“Is President Lou in a relationship?” Xiao He asked the question that everyone had been guessing.
“Yes.” Lou Qingshuang admitted it generously, a gentle smile in her eyes.
Looking at the smile on Lou Qingshuang’s face, Xiao He sighed softly, “She must be very charming.”
“Why do you say that?” Lou Qingshuang looked at her curiously.
“Because President Lou’s state this time is completely different from before.” Xiao He looked at Lou Qingshuang mysteriously.
Lou Qingshuang’s ears turned red as she thought about Liu Yu pulling her into intimacy at any moment. The state after physical intimacy was indeed completely different from the state without it.
“It’s just a normal state of being in love, just like you and your little girlfriend.” Lou Qingshuang’s eyelashes fluttered as she began to change the subject.
“I understand.” Xiao He gave an “auntie smile” and winked, making Lou Qingshuang’s ears turn even redder.
The two talked and laughed, and Lou Qingshuang’s state was very relaxed. It wasn’t until noon, when the director and the producer invited her to lunch, that the two switched back to their professional states.
Lou Qingshuang met up with the other three, and the director sent a car to pick them up.
As soon as they arrived at the restaurant, the producer and the assistant director stepped forward to greet them. “Welcome, President Lou. Let’s eat first. After the meal, we’ll start communicating the filming process. I’ve already communicated with Assistant Qian and know your requirements. We’ll discuss the details later.”
The producer was the director’s wife; she spoke gently and politely, making people feel as comfortable as a spring breeze.
The assistant director was a male Beta, standing beside the producer to assist.
Their drama was really short of money. The reason they were broadcasting while still filming was because of the lack of funds, so they had to hold onto Wanshuang, the investor.
“That’s fine. We’ll communicate the specifics this afternoon. I’ve watched your crew’s filming; my requirements were stated very clearly by Assistant Qian.” Lou Qingshuang looked at the producer. “We also need to observe the effect of the advertisement insertion into the series.”
“Don’t worry, we will definitely satisfy you. This filming will follow our series, and the actors will cooperate.” The producer, Sang He, introduced the two lead actresses to Lou Qingshuang.
“These are our two lead actresses, Huai Bing and Zhong Dai.” The producer introduced the two actresses who hadn’t removed their makeup yet. Both of them stood up and greeted Lou Qingshuang simultaneously, “Hello, President Lou.”
Lou Qingshuang nodded and sat in the seat of honor. To her right was the producer, and to her left was Assistant Qian. A simple dinner party began.
The group chatted for more than an hour. They didn’t drink alcohol to avoid affecting the afternoon’s filming.
“President Lou started from scratch and personally acted as the researcher for various Wanshuang products. She is truly young and promising, which is admirable.” Producer Sang He toasted Lou Qingshuang with tea instead of wine, her mouth filled with polite remarks.
“It was all forced out of necessity. Producer Sang and Director Sima are also very impressive; you’ve already won awards for several TV series.” Lou Qingshuang drank the toast from Sang He, and everyone began to eat and chat.
Two hours later, the advertisement filming officially began. The contract specified who would star in the advertisement and which episode it would be inserted into; furthermore, one advertisement would be released that very night.
Mi Shui, who had received the first investment, was incredibly excited. This was her comeback work—a modern tomb-robbing TV series that almost no one thought well of, but Mi Shui simply refused to believe it.
Her wife, Sang He, personally served as the producer to pull in investment, accompanying her to film this TV series even if it meant selling everything they owned.
As long as this TV series made a comeback, she wouldn’t lack people looking for her to film TV series in the future.
Mi Shui was very excited, explaining the advertising lines to the lead actress and how to turn the advertisement into a “mini-theater” so that the audience would find it more acceptable and wouldn’t curse after watching it.
“Insert it directly into the most terrifying part of the plot; that way, when it pops up, the audience can accept it.” Sang He offered her own opinion.
Mi Shui thought about it and felt it was a good idea, then began to call everyone to start work.
Sang He went to communicate with the broadcasting platform. Once the advertisement was edited, it would be sent over for review, with the hope that it would pass quickly.
