Honey, Open The Door. I Want To Give You The Room Key - Chapter 52
Liu Yu held Lou Qingshuang in her arms as they stood in the sunlight. Her chestnut hair shimmered under the golden rays. Lou Qingshuang snuggled into Liu Yu’s embrace and murmured, “I don’t want to eat.”
“Have some soup.” Liu Yu smoothed Lou Qingshuang’s hair, looking into her eyes with tenderness. She reached out to take Lou Qingshuang’s hand and led her toward the table.
The lingering, sticky pheromones in the air were gradually being purified, leaving only a trace amount that remained within standard levels. During a heat cycle, one must replenish food and water to have enough calories and physical strength to endure the period.
Lou Qingshuang gripped Liu Yu’s hand tightly, looking at the lavish spread of food on the table. The aroma of the dishes piqued her appetite. Gazing at the vibrant green of the stir-fried vegetables, Lou Qingshuang looked at Liu Yu. “I’m going to wash my face. Wait for me out here.”
“Alright.” Liu Yu stood by the table, waiting for her.
Standing before the bathroom mirror, Lou Qingshuang looked at the faint “strawberry marks” left on her neck. These were left behind the previous night when Liu Yu had lost control. Her pheromones were now wrapped in Liu Yu’s cold scent, blended with her own delicate fragrance. The pheromone gland had regained its soft, pink texture, and the marks upon it had healed.
“Fortunately, even though Liu Yu lost her reason last night, she was still restrained.” Lou Qingshuang gently touched her pheromone gland. If Liu Yu had been like other Alphas—losing all reason and becoming violent—Lou Qingshuang certainly would have left.
This heat cycle would last for three days. During these three days, she would stay by Liu Yu’s side until the cycle passed completely. Today was only the first day, and Liu Yu’s next flare-up might occur in just an hour.
Lou Qingshuang spent five minutes washing her face and brushing her teeth before stepping out of the bathroom. Liu Yu had already set the plates and had ladled out a bowl of steaming hot soup for her.
“Drink some soup first to warm your stomach,” Liu Yu said, smiling at her.
“Okay, let’s eat together.” Lou Qingshuang caught the scent of fresh, clear chicken soup. The broth was crystal clear without a trace of oil, tasting fresh and savory.
“This tastes great.” After a sip, Lou Qingshuang couldn’t help but take several more.
“If you like it, have another bowl after the meal.” Liu Yu used her chopsticks to place a serving of bright green vegetable hearts into Lou Qingshuang’s bowl. These were stir-fried in seafood broth, carrying the savory taste of the sea along with a spicy kick from the wok—a very appetizing combination.
The two ate for half an hour before putting down their chopsticks. Liu Yu had someone come to clear the table, and then she put on a movie.
“Let’s watch a movie.” Liu Yu opened the latest romance film recommended to her by Shang Qing.
“Sure.” Lou Qingshuang rubbed her aching lower back and leaned against the back of the armchair to watch. There was still half an hour before Liu Yu’s next round of heat; she needed to rest well.
As soon as Liu Yu clicked on the romance film Shang Qing had specifically recommended, she was stunned by the opening sex scene. The atmosphere and cinematography of the film were extremely aesthetic, and the two female leads were stunningly beautiful, but no amount of beauty could change the fact that the two on screen were “exercising.”
Lou Qingshuang’s hand, which was massaging her waist, paused. She looked up at Liu Yu. Is this the kind of movie you want to watch?
“It’s a romance film; it’s bound to have these scenes. Let’s watch it together.” Liu Yu suppressed her embarrassment and invited Lou Qingshuang with feigned composure.
Seeing the rapid fluttering of Liu Yu’s eyelashes, Lou Qingshuang couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh. “You’re right.”
“So, are you watching?” Liu Yu heard the sounds from the television grow more intense and reached out her hand toward Lou Qingshuang.
“I am.” Lou Qingshuang walked over and placed her hand in Liu Yu’s. Liu Yu pulled her down to sit together on the sofa.
Against a hazy, beautiful backdrop, the emotions were delicate and moving as the two female leads fell into each other’s embrace. Lou Qingshuang leaned back, her waist still very sore.
“I’ll massage it for you.” Liu Yu had Lou Qingshuang lie face down while she began to gently massage her lower back. Her technique was skilled and comfortable.
Lou Qingshuang lay on a pillow, her head turned to the side to watch the movie. The film had finally entered its formal plot. As she enjoyed the massage, her eyes gradually drifted shut. Lyrical background music played as the two leads engaged in their beautiful romance.
Liu Yu watched as the two leads in the movie kissed underwater, their white shirts drifting away in the water as desire took root. She looked down and saw that Lou Qingshuang had fallen asleep. A faint smile played on Lou Qingshuang’s face. Liu Yu’s fingers moved nimbly and firmly along the curve of Lou Qingshuang’s back, moving upward, soon causing the tension in her brow to unfurl.
Unbeknownst to them, the scent of roses in the living room began to intensify again. Lou Qingshuang’s gland turned slightly red in response to Liu Yu. Liu Yu brushed Lou Qingshuang’s hair to one side of her shoulder, her fingertips sliding slowly down her spine.
On the screen, the two leads expressed their love passionately in a beautiful wilderness, the wild wind blowing through their intertwined hair. The music became suggestive.
Liu Yu lowered her head to sniff the scent on Lou Qingshuang. Her own gland began to swell, flushed with red. The cold rose fragrance mixed with Lou Qingshuang’s scent, losing its chill. The two were like a single entity; Liu Yu pressed against Lou Qingshuang’s shoulder, breathing in her pheromones. A few beads of sweat appeared on the tip of Liu Yu’s nose from the effort of endurance. Even though the air conditioning was set to a low temperature, Liu Yu’s scorching breath caused Lou Qingshuang to break into a sweat as well.
Lou Qingshuang was awakened by the “ball of fire” against her back. Her eyelashes fluttered as she opened her eyes. The pheromones clinging to her instantly became excited, surging toward her gland like a whale, desperately waiting for her response.
Lou Qingshuang lifted her head to look at Liu Yu, whose eyes were rimmed with a feverish red. Her gaze was alluring. “Does it hurt?”
“It’s alright,” Liu Yu rasped, leaning close to her lips.
Lou Qingshuang lowered her gaze to Liu Yu’s crimson face. Suddenly, she was lifted by Liu Yu and placed directly into her lap. The scent of roses had completely drowned out Liu Yu’s logic.
“Shuangshuang, I want to control it,” Liu Yu said, leaning against her shoulder.
Lou Qingshuang cupped her face and asked softly, “Control what?”
“Control my sanity. I want to talk to you, I want to hold you.” Liu Yu’s eyes flickered between loss of control and flashes of lucidity as she looked at Lou Qingshuang.
Lou Qingshuang’s fingertips brushed against Liu Yu’s face. The cool touch prompted Liu Yu to part her lips and gently bite Lou Qingshuang’s hand. She stared into Lou Qingshuang’s calm eyes and said hoarsely, “Let me hold you.”
“Alright.” Lou Qingshuang opened her arms and hugged her neck.
Liu Yu pressed her face against Lou Qingshuang’s chest, breathing in her scent, ignoring how the chaotic pheromones in her body were desperately screaming to tear into Lou Qingshuang.
Lou Qingshuang looked at Liu Yu’s hair. Liu Yu was doing her best to ensure she wasn’t just a beast in heat. Her restraint was much like during her first heat—always being able to hear Lou Qingshuang’s words clearly.
The first thing those who have experienced pain learn is endurance. The sanity Liu Yu had maintained for so many years had collapsed upon meeting Lou Qingshuang, yet she was doing everything in her power to slow the speed of that collapse.
“Zhu Yan said you can rest for a week, so you don’t need to suppress it.” Lou Qingshuang’s ears were burning red beneath her hair. Swallowing her shyness, she cradled Liu Yu’s head.
Liu Yu’s eyes were bloodshot and deep, looking as if she wanted to devour Lou Qingshuang. “Then let’s rest.”
“Mm.” Lou Qingshuang blushed and agreed.
The cold Icefield Rose fragrance enveloped Lou Qingshuang once more, accompanied by the background music from the movie.
“I want to try… the way they did it in the movie.” Liu Yu picked up Lou Qingshuang and bit her ear.
The two spent all three days at home.
“Stop it, be good.” Having spent several days coaxing the other, Lou Qingshuang waved her hand in her sleep, not letting Liu Yu disturb her rest.
Liu Yu was wearing a white silk shirt; her crisp black suit trousers had long since been discarded. She sat on the bed, brushing away the hair covering Lou Qingshuang’s face, peacefully reading a book. This was the first time she had experienced a heat cycle that wasn’t agonizing.
She had expected a “nesting period” to occur, but it never did. Liu Yu had managed to maintain a shred of sanity, enough to avoid hurting Lou Qingshuang.
Liu Yu reported her condition to Shang Qing: [The nesting period and loss of control did not occur.]
Shang Qing: [Has the swelling of the gland subsided?]
Liu Yu: [Not completely, but it’s better than before. The gland hasn’t reached a state of collapse.]
[Come to the hospital tomorrow for a check-up. We need to determine if the collapse has improved. During this time, you can only come into contact with Lou Qingshuang’s pheromones. Other Omegas’ pheromones will cause your gland to fail; you won’t be able to resist them,] Shang Qing instructed.
[Alright, thank you.] Liu Yu put away her phone and continued to stay by the sleeping Lou Qingshuang. These past two days had truly exhausted her.
Lou Qingshuang slept until ten in the evening. She sat on the sofa with a look of satiation mixed with fatigue. These three days of the heat cycle had been mentally and physically draining, as she had to constantly soothe Liu Yu.
“I don’t want to take a bath. Come here and hold me.” Lou Qingshuang, wrapped in a thin quilt, summoned the busy Liu Yu.
Liu Yu hurried over to embrace her. “What’s wrong?”
“I’m tired. Stop moving around.” Lou Qingshuang leaned her head against Liu Yu’s chest; a human cushion was much more comfortable.
Liu Yu held Lou Qingshuang close, sitting with her on the sofa. She inhaled the S-rank Alpha pheromones emanating from Lou Qingshuang that now belonged to her, feeling a sense of deep satisfaction. She, too, carried Lou Qingshuang’s scent. Now, everyone would know she had an Omega.
The pheromones from an Omega’s temporary mark would cling to Liu Yu until the mark faded and the pheromone activity decreased. Normally, wearing a pheromone blocker patch would hide the scent.
Since Lou Qingshuang was also an S-rank Omega, her pheromones were unique. Other Omegas would feel oppressed and uncomfortable upon smelling them. Lou Qingshuang could even suppress Alphas of a lower rank. However, in modern society, using pheromones to suppress others is illegal and socially condemned. A society that values individual freedom cannot accept such dominance. It is only permissible in special circumstances—for example, when Liu Yu used her pheromones to suppress the Alpha who lost control in the restaurant.
“I have to go to Anxi Bridge Hospital for a check-up tomorrow. Will you come with me?” Liu Yu pressed her cheek against Lou Qingshuang’s and asked softly.
“Are you short of people to go with you?” Lou Qingshuang glanced at her sideways.
“I’m short of you,” Liu Yu said, her eyes burning with intensity.
Lou Qingshuang looked up slightly. “Then it depends on my mood tomorrow.”
Liu Yu kissed the corner of Lou Qingshuang’s mouth. “I can serve you right now.”
Hearing Liu Yu’s intentionally low and sexy voice, Lou Qingshuang paused. “No need. I’d like to rest a bit more.”
Liu Yu wasn’t discouraged by the rejection. “Then I’ll stay with you. Do you want anything to eat?”
“I just want some peace for a while.” Lou Qingshuang rested her head on Liu Yu’s shoulder.
Liu Yu immediately made a “zipping her lips” gesture and held Lou Qingshuang tighter. The two sat in the living room watching a movie—an animated film that Lou Qingshuang loved. Its pace was warm and slow, perfect for a quiet moment together.
