Hold Tight to the Female Lead's Thigh [Transmigration GL] - Episode 49
“I’m fine.” Peach Blossom shook her head, utterly confused by the current situation. “Senior Sister, what’s going on?”
Guan Fusha didn’t want Peach Blossom to worry too much, so she feigned nonchalance and smiled. “It’s nothing, just a few reckless thieves sneaked in.”
“Thieves?” Peach Blossom glanced at the black-clad man lying dead on the floor in a gruesome state.
Just moments ago, he had been radiating murderous intent, charging at her with a sword. If Guan Fusha hadn’t appeared in time, she would likely be dead by now. This didn’t seem like the work of mere thieves!
Guan Fusha’s eyes flickered, but before she could speak, the sound of fierce fighting erupted from downstairs.
Frowning, she rushed to the corridor outside the door and looked down at the main hall.
Seeing this, Peach Blossom quickly got out of bed, slipped on her shoes, and followed.
Downstairs, three black-clad men were engaged in combat. Two were fighting Xiao Yuan, while the third was locked in a struggle with Yan Hong’s maid.
The battle between the five was intense, and the main hall was already in ruins. Exquisite sandalwood-carved tables and chairs had been shattered into splinters by sword energy, delicate ceramic cups lay broken across the floor, and expensive paintings hanging on the walls were slashed to pieces.
The two black-clad men attacking Xiao Yuan were well-trained and coordinated perfectly. One relentlessly pressed the attack while the other seized every opening as Xiao Yuan dodged.
In no time, Xiao Yuan was wounded and looking somewhat disheveled.
“Senior Sister,” Peach Blossom turned to Guan Fusha, her face full of concern.
Guan Fusha nodded and was about to leap down to assist when Yan Hong suddenly burst out of a room on the second floor, carrying A’Tian, who was clad only in a simple nightgown.
Yan Hong gracefully stepped onto the railing, executed a mid-air flip, and landed elegantly in the center of the hall.
Her dramatic entrance instantly made them the focus of everyone’s attention.
Unfazed by the stares, Yan Hong fixed her gaze on A’Tian and smiled seductively. “Did you sleep well?”
A’Tian’s groggy mind took a moment to process the situation. Under the weight of everyone’s stares, her cheeks flushed crimson, and she immediately began struggling to free herself from Yan Hong’s embrace.
Peach Blossom watched the scene unfold and couldn’t help but stroke her chin.
These two definitely have something going on!
Yan Hong’s sudden appearance caught the black-clad men off guard. Quickly, they shifted their focus to A’Tian, who had no martial skills.
Little did they know that this move would only hasten their own gruesome demise.
Yan Hong’s eyes flashed as she immediately grasped their intention.
Ignoring A’Tian’s struggles, she tightened her hold and, with a burst of energy, leaped lightly to evade the attacks of two black-clad men.
Having grown up in the Night God Sect and rarely venturing outside, A’Tian had never witnessed such a scene. She froze in shock, forgetting even to struggle.
A flicker of ruthlessness crossed Yan Hong’s eyes. She picked up a strip of cloth from the floor and whipped it toward the two black-clad men. With a slight infusion of inner energy, the cloth coiled around their necks like a serpent.
Yan Hong tightened her grip, and the cloth constricted further. The two men gasped for air, immediately dropping their swords and desperately clawing at the fabric to free themselves.
Yan Hong had no intention of letting them have their way. With a light leap, she carried the cloth drape over the beam and then tossed it toward the staircase railing, swiftly tying it as she landed.
The two black-clad men were thus suspended mid-air, and before long, they stopped struggling and died of suffocation.
The last remaining black-clad man, seeing this, did not retreat in fear. Instead, he raised his silver sword and thrust it straight toward Yan Hong. His eyes were calm and unreadable, showing no sign of seeking revenge for his companions’ deaths.
However, before his sword tip could even leave the ground, a flying needle shot from the second-floor railing sent him collapsing to the floor.
His eyes widened in shock as he desperately tried to grasp the silver sword beside him, but his body remained immobile.
Guan Fusha slowly descended from the second floor. “It’s useless. You’ve been struck by my Soft Fragrance Powder. Forget about using your inner energy. You can’t even stand up.”
Only after confirming the surroundings were safe did Yan Hong set A’Tian down.
She tidied her slightly disheveled hair bun, glanced around at the devastation in the Four Directions Inn, and then slowly walked toward the fallen black-clad man.
Yan Hong looked at Guan Fusha, who was also standing beside the black-clad man, and smiled. “Good thing you acted in time. I almost forgot we needed to keep one alive.”
Guan Fusha returned a faint smile. “Good thing I did. I was afraid you’d go on a killing spree here.”
Yan Hong’s eyes sparkled with a coquettish charm as she chuckled softly, saying nothing.
Guan Fusha crouched down and pulled off the black-clad man’s mask.
It was an unfamiliar face.
Yan Hong’s brow furrowed briefly before quickly smoothing over. She let out a delicate laugh and said to the black-clad man, “If you know what’s good for you, cooperate willingly. I don’t need to tell you what happens to captives, do I?”
The black-clad man remained silent, glaring at them fiercely.
If looks could kill, the two of them would have been reduced to dust long ago.
Yan Hong chuckled lightly, completely unfazed. “Oh my, it seems this gentleman has no intention of cooperating.”
Guan Fusha sneered, gripping his cheek tightly. Just as she was about to administer poison, she noticed his mouth twitch, his eyes roll back, and he stopped breathing.
Both their expressions shifted. Guan Fusha pinched his cheek to force his mouth open. “He bit his tongue and took his own life.”
At that moment, Taohua arrived by Guan Fusha’s side.
Sensing Taohua’s presence, Guan Fusha quickly stood up to block her view. “Junior Sister? What are you doing here?”
“Senior Sister…” Taohua glanced around at the chaotic state of the Four Directions Inn and asked worriedly, “Could it be the Cui family…?”
After all, they had humiliated that Cui fellow so badly on the street that afternoon. It was entirely possible he held a grudge and hired assassins. Oh no, had she ended up dragging her senior sister into this?
“No, Junior Sister, don’t worry about it too much.” Guan Fusha didn’t want to involve Taohua in these messy affairs and deliberately tried to send her away. “This place is a mess. You should go upstairs and rest.”
Taohua shook her head, refusing to leave. “Are they assassins?”
From their conversation, Yan Hong could roughly guess the situation. She crouched down and carefully examined the corpse. “The Cui family is merely wealthy, not part of the martial world. These black-clad men came with fierce intent, their martial skills were not weak, and they were well-trained. They must be professional assassins.”
Taohua’s face instantly turned pale. “Could it be that the Cui family hired professional assassins from the martial world?”
“Not likely.” After studying the corpse, Yan Hong wiped her hands with a silk handkerchief and slowly stood up. “I’m familiar with all the famous assassin organizations in the martial world, but they… don’t belong to any of those groups.”
Guan Fusha had initially wanted to tell Yan Hong to keep quiet, but after hearing her words, she couldn’t help showing surprise. “So, you can’t identify his background either?”
“Mm.” Yan Hong nodded. She glanced around and called out, “Uncle Wang.”
“Y-Young… Young Miss.” The manager of the Square Pavilion, Uncle Wang, tremblingly emerged from behind the counter, a stack of account books still piled on his head, clearly quite frightened.
He scurried out from behind the counter, then after a moment, remembered the pile of books on his head and hurried back to put them down. He rushed to Yan Hong’s side and asked respectfully, “Young Miss, what are your instructions?”
Yan Hong pointed at the corpse on the ground. “Instruct all our ‘waiters’. I want to know the identities, backgrounds, and origins of these people.”
“Yes, I’ll go take care of it right away!” Upon hearing this, Uncle Wang immediately ran behind the counter, wrote something on a piece of paper, and after the ink dried, headed toward the back courtyard.
Taohua stared blankly at his busy figure for a moment before snapping back to reality. She turned to Yan Hong in disbelief. “You’re the All-Knowing Sage of the Martial World?”
“Not exactly.” Yan Hong chuckled. “I just have some connections with the All-Knowing Sage, that’s all.”
Taohua stiffly turned her head to look at A’Tian, who stood in the corner looking utterly confused.
This connection… is so complicated!
Guan Fusha glanced around at everyone and stepped forward to take charge. “Alright, it’s getting late. Let’s not just stand here foolishly any longer.”
