Hold Tight to the Female Lead's Thigh [Transmigration GL] - Episode 4
When it came to the character of Cui Taohua, Fake Cui Taohua could only think of one word: bullshit. Or perhaps she should put it this way. Just as Guan Fusha’s character was ridiculously overpowered, Cui Taohua’s was ridiculously bullshit. In short, no matter how you spun it, it was all bullshit!
Originally the daughter of a wealthy merchant and born into the main branch of the family, Cui Taohua had been spoiled rotten since childhood, growing up with a willful and domineering personality. Once, while out on an excursion, she was unfortunately kidnapped by bandits, only to be rescued by the male lead, An Xianli, who happened to pass by and intervened. From then on, Cui Taohua secretly fell for him.
Knowing that An Xianli was a disciple of the Tianlun Sect, she begged her parents to let her go train there. When the Cui elders refused, she threw tantrums every day, turning the household upside down. Unable to endure the chaos any longer, Old Master Cui finally gave in and sent several chests of silver to the Tianlun Sect’s leader. Moved by such “sincerity,” the sect leader made an exception and accepted Cui Taohua as his disciple. And just like that, she became An Xianli’s junior sister in a perfectly legitimate way.
The love-hate dynamic between a junior sister and her senior brother might be a staple of martial arts novels, but even though An Xianli only saw Cui Taohua as a little sister with no romantic feelings whatsoever, everything quietly began to change once Guan Fusha appeared.
Jealous of Guan Fusha’s beauty, Cui Taohua foolishly picked a fight and got beaten half to death. Nursing her hatred, she doubled down and bribed an inn servant to poison Guan Fusha’s food—only to be exposed and beaten up again. Still refusing to give up, she staged an elaborate scheme to make An Xianli believe Guan Fusha was trying to poison her. This time, Guan Fusha had had enough and directly crippled one of her arms.
From then on, Cui Taohua’s hatred for Guan Fusha eclipsed all other emotions. Her mind was consumed by nothing but revenge. She disguised herself as a member of the Night God Sect, stirring up trouble everywhere, even crippling new disciples of the four major sects to incite conflict. Mistakenly believing the Night God Sect was behind it all, the four sects convened a martial arts conference to declare war on them.
With such a massive false accusation hanging over them, Guan Fusha immediately ordered an investigation. It didn’t take long before she discovered that Cui Taohua was the real culprit. To clear the Night God Sect’s name, Guan Fusha confronted the Tianlun Sect and, right in front of An Xianli, ran Cui Taohua through with her sword.
Cui Taohua’s death intensified the conflict between the male and female leads, and then… then… then…
Then there was no “then”!
Because Fake Cui Taohua had been so exhausted by this point that she tossed her phone aside and fell into a deep sleep, only to wake up as the bullshit character Cui Taohua herself!
Oh, the cruelty of the world! Could you be any more merciless?!
Though much of Cui Taohua’s fate in the original story was self-inflicted, the protagonist halo around Guan Fusha couldn’t be ignored either. That’s why she decided to stay far away from the male lead, the root of all evil, and instead cling tightly to Guan Fusha’s mighty thigh within the Night God Sect.
Except things didn’t seem to be going as she expected.
Frustrated, Cui Taohua rolled over in bed, her mind filled with nothing but Guan Fusha’s words from earlier: tomorrow, she would take her to meet the Night God Sect’s leader.
As Guan Fusha’s master, the Night God Sect’s leader in the original text was also an outrageously formidable character. Taciturn and inscrutable, his martial arts were unfathomable, and his actions were dictated solely by his whims; essentially a more extreme version of Guan Fusha.
A rhythmic knock at the door interrupted her thoughts. Taohua sat up in bed, curiously eyeing the shadow cast upon the door. “Who is it?”
“Young lady, it’s me.”
Taohua recognized Xiao Zhu’s voice. “Is that you, Miss Xiao Zhu? Please come in.”
Xiao Zhu pushed the door open, carrying a set of pink silk robes in her hands. Seeing Taohua’s puzzled expression, she explained, “These were sent by Guardian Guan for you.”
“For me?” Taohua blinked, still confused.
Did Guan Fusha want her to dress more appropriately when meeting the sect leader tomorrow?
“Yes,” Xiao Zhu placed the robes on the low table. “Guardian Guan has arranged a banquet at the lakeside pavilion tonight and invites you to dine with her.”
“Just the two of us?”
Xiao Zhu smiled faintly. “This servant isn’t entirely sure.”
Taohua inwardly scoffed. Even if you knew, you wouldn’t tell me!
Having lain in bed all day, Taohua felt her back stiffening and decided to get up and move around. Xiao Zhu, however, misunderstood her intention. “Would you like to try on these robes, young lady?”
Taohua paused, then decided to go along with it. “…Yes, I’ll try them on first.”
Knowing Taohua was still injured, Xiao Zhu stepped forward to assist. Once dressed, she helped Taohua to the vanity and began combing her long, dark hair, smiling. “You look truly lovely in this outfit.”
Taohua glanced at the bronze mirror and mumbled, “…It’s alright.”
The reflection showed a young woman in pink silk robes, her fair skin tinged with a playful rosy hue. Her delicate, oval face and limpid, tender eyes made her strikingly beautiful. A true budding beauty.
But compared to Guan Fusha’s otherworldly allure, she was still far outmatched.
After arranging Taohua’s hair, Xiao Zhu picked up a small box from the table and lightly applied some makeup. In no time, the sickly pallor on Taohua’s face was completely concealed by the skillful application.
Xiao Zhu stepped back, beaming. “You are truly beautiful, young lady.”
Taohua gave a faint, indifferent smile, dismissing it as mere politeness. “It’s just your skilled hands at work, Miss Xiao Zhu.”
“You flatter me. You were already lovely. I merely added the finishing touches.”
Taohua thought this Xiao Zhu had an exceptionally sweet tongue, her words dripping with honey. Was everyone in the Night God Sect like this?
A breeze blew through, swinging the half-open window wide. The sound drew Taohua’s attention outside, where the flowerbed was filled with exotic blooms in full splendor—a feast for the eyes.
“Miss Xiao Zhu, may I take a walk outside?”
After being cooped up all day, she was practically growing mold. Besides, her previously injured ankle no longer hurt—likely healed by Guan Fusha—making it the perfect time for a stroll.
“Well…” Xiao Zhu hesitated, seemingly unable to decide.
Peach Blossom realized that her request might have put the other in an awkward position, so she said, “The wind outside is strong, and my injuries have just healed. It’s probably not a good idea for me to go out. I wouldn’t want to trouble you, Miss Xiao Zhu.”
