Hey! Control Yourself! - Chapter 19
Chapter 19: It Will Be Cured
“You are sexually harassing me right now, do you know that?”
“Oh? What does that mean?”
Shen Ji remembered—Gaya didn’t have this term. Sheng Lu didn’t understand.
“Culpable behavior and language like yours right now is sexual harassment, you psycho.” Shen Ji raised his elbow to jab at his shoulder.
Sheng Lu’s body moved slightly from the poke, and he was secretly thrilled to death. Though it was “secret,” the passion in his eyes could no longer be hidden.
Shen Ji reacted a moment too late, realizing the pervert was starting to have a physical reaction, and silently withdrew his hand. What on earth was he doing? Was he trying to reason with a pervert?
Sheng Lu’s fingertips landed on the back of his neck. The cold touch caused a wave of discomfort around his gland.
The Omega pheromones had already permeated the forest. That lethal scent was like a deep poison, nearly impossible to resist. Even as an Enigma, Shen Ji felt the changes within his body; just like last time, things were getting a bit out of control.
Sheng Lu didn’t reply. His possessive eyes remained fixed on Shen Ji’s nape, like a venomous snake staring at its prey.
“Why aren’t you releasing pheromones?” Sheng Lu’s voice was filled with disbelief and confusion, even carrying a trace of frustration.
Shen Ji looked at him. In truth, his pheromones had already been enticed by Sheng Lu’s, but because he was wearing the mentor’s buffer membrane patch on his gland, his pheromones were shielded. This clearly caused Sheng Lu to misunderstand.
After all, in an era where pheromones controlled biological emotions, the release of pheromones was the proof of human passion. Especially since Sheng Lu himself was an Omega with top-tier pheromones—no one could resist him.
Right now, Shen Ji’s “indifference” was, to an Omega, no different from cold violence.
Sheng Lu felt as if his sorrow was about to overflow: “There really are no pheromones.”
Shen Ji smiled slightly. He felt a strange sense of satisfaction, as if he had cheated but the other person thought he was just too weak and was utterly crushed by it. It seemed that even a pervert like Sheng Lu couldn’t handle pheromone cold violence.
“I feel absolutely nothing.” Shen Ji had to be stubborn. Was he supposed to admit he was being moved by this pervert?
“How can that be…” The shock in Sheng Lu’s eyes was hard to hide.
The long hair wound around Shen Ji’s waist slowly loosened, the strands falling away as Sheng Lu let go of his hand. Is this guy actually heartbroken?
After a brief silence, Sheng Lu suddenly smiled in relief. His expression was calm—unnervingly normal.
“I understand. It’s okay. It will be cured,” he said.
After a brief mental stall, Shen Ji realized what he meant and finally said speechlessly, “You’re overthinking it, okay!”
Standing in the green woods as if surrounded by holy light, Sheng Lu let out a meaningful sound: “Oh? Let’s just say I’m overthinking it then.”
“Nonsense… of course you are!” Shen Ji was at the end of his rope.
Seeing Shen Ji’s emotional fluctuation, Sheng Lu wore a satisfied smile. He draped an arm over Shen Ji’s shoulder and rubbed against his cheek: “What’s going on? You’re so cute…”
Just then, a beam of intense light suddenly illuminated the forest. A heavy, low mechanical sound followed. Shen Ji looked up and saw a massive starship hovering in the night sky, shaped like a whale.
It was a Whale-ship from the Fifth Level.
With a clack, a massive octagonal ring teleportation array descended above the forest, light streaming through the leaves. Last time, Shen Ji had been asleep and didn’t see the Fifth Level’s Whale-ship, so he had assumed it was the police.
“The police are here to catch you.”
“You forgot again, baby. The police don’t bother with my business.” Sheng Lu smiled at him, his pupils shifting to the right as his gaze turned icy: “It’s just some flies that won’t go away.”
A dozen figures stepped out of the teleportation array. Under the bright light, the people from the Fifth Level saw the devastation in the town below—corpses everywhere.
One of the male members was clearly shocked by the scene, trembling with rage: “Sheng Lu, you truly deserve to die! You didn’t even spare the children!”
Sheng Lu stood with his back to them, his expression dark, saying nothing.
“He has lost his humanity.”
“The extermination of the mermaids may have been caused by human greed, but the deed is done. Is it necessary to hunt us all down?” another member said coldly.
They couldn’t see Sheng Lu’s face. Only Shen Ji could see that the white-haired man before him was covered in killing intent, his pupils glowing blood-red.
“Is that so? I could spare the human children…” Sheng Lu turned to face them, reaching his hand into the air: “Give back the mermaid children first!”
Radiant mental energy radiated from his hand, condensing into several colorful monster fish. They swam through the air, large and small, as naturally as if they were in water, with two long kite-like tail filaments. Faint sparks of lightning crackled between those tails.
“It really is the monster fish, and four of them at that. Why… why has Sheng Lu’s mental energy grown stronger again?” In the Fifth Level group, a man’s face turned grave.
The captain frowned: “I heard from the previous captain that the monster fish formed by Sheng Lu’s mental energy can devour the mental energy of others. Be careful.”
Everyone looked at the demon before them with horror, yet not one person retreated.
Shen Ji watched the two sides. At some point, the Shaxing members had gathered behind Sheng Lu. The light of the octagonal ring shone on this group of outlaws, yet it looked like an angelic halo.
The Fifth Level members raised their protective shields, watching the monster fish warily. At this moment, only one captain among the members remained relatively calm: “Wait. Before that, release the hostage.”
Hostage?
“…” Shen Ji looked left and right, confirming there was no one else around. He couldn’t be talking about me, could he?
“Friend, please come over here.” The captain seemed truly worried about his safety, even extending a hand.
Sheng Lu’s blood-colored eyes shifted, landing on the captain like two nails, disdaining any explanation.
Among the Shaxing members behind him, someone burst out laughing: “Are you mental, Q? He’s our leader’s boyfriend.”
Q was the code name for the squad leader; the various captains of the Fifth Level all had different codes.
“That’s right, he traveled a long way specifically to find our leader,” another added.
Hearing this, the Fifth Level people began to exchange glances.
Shen Ji: “…Actually, no.”
When Sheng Lu was pinning me down and kissing me just now, did these bastards hide in the back and watch the whole show?!
But no one listened to his explanation. After all, the government had issued an announcement—the Kayat Forest was now the abode of death. No normal person would enter this forest. Furthermore, Shen Ji’s attire was definitely not that of a villager.
The captain sneered: “But to me, he looks very much like he’s being coerced.”
One had to admit, a captain’s intuition was different.
Sheng Lu looked at Shen Ji: “What do you say?”
“…” What could he say?
“Don’t threaten him. With us here, they won’t dare touch you. Come over.” The captain’s extended hand moved an inch closer.
The Fifth Level people had already expanded their protective shield to reach the area in front of Shen Ji. This was the chance to leave. There was nothing to hesitate about. Shen Ji took a step forward.
He saw Sheng Lu’s profile remained rippleless, but shadows had gathered deep in his eyes, an ice-cold aura piercing through to the bone. He was definitely enraged.
Two colorful monster fish suddenly opened their massive maws and bit into the shield. Electric currents surged through their bodies, crackling as they covered the shield’s surface. The attack was violently intense; the Fifth Level members nearly buckled, struggling to reinforce the shield. Under the energy impact, everyone’s clothes fluttered wildly.
The captain’s hand was only two meters away.
Shen Ji reached out. In this world of lightning and sparks, his peripheral vision caught Sheng Lu’s eyes. Those blood-red eyes were filled with a calm despair.
Shen Ji paused, stopped his footsteps, and eventually withdrew his hand.
“?” The captain was stunned, and the Fifth Level people looked at him in surprise.
Sheng Lu’s pupils reflected his silhouette, and the shadows in the depths of his eyes dissipated. The monster fish stopped their attack, and everything settled into a calm, leaving only a slight breeze rustling the leaves.
“Is he really threatening you?” the captain frowned, speaking with righteous indignation.
Shen Ji closed his eyes, helpless: “Not really. It’s just that I’m sick, don’t mind me.”
“Captain, he said he’s sick.”
In Gaya, the word “sick” didn’t have any teasing connotation. So if someone said they were sick, they were meant in the literal sense.
“…” Shen Ji felt the timing of this transition was a complete disaster.
Sheng Lu pressed two fingers to his lips, failing to hide the upward curve of his mouth. His tilted gaze grew even more triumphant. For once, he restrained his laughter.
In the end, almost everyone from the Fifth Level suffered varying degrees of damage.
“Captain, Fansi’s mental sea is about to collapse!” someone shouted anxiously.
The girl named Fansi shook her head: “It’s okay, I can hold on, Captain.”
“Don’t force it.”
“Fansi can’t make it, Captain! We need to find a Divine Healer immediately!”
In that moment of distraction, the monster fish completely shattered the shield. Instantly, the mental seas of the members maintaining the energy suffered heavy blows. The octagonal ring teleportation array opened again, its light shining on the Fifth Level members.
“Fansi, please hold on a little longer.”
“Quick, once we reach headquarters, go straight to the Divine Healing department and find Shen Yue!”
Amidst the chatter, Shen Ji heard them mention the Divine Healer and the name Shen Yue. His heart tightened. Shen Yue was his father’s name. Back then, Shen Yue was a Divine Healer among the Gaya humans.
This meant the Fifth Level was definitely connected to Shen Yue.
“Wait for me…” Shen Ji had a thought and followed them forward, but a hand pressed down on him.
“Darling?” A voice that sent shivers down the spine—no need to guess who it was. “Do you want to go find Shen Yue?”
Shen Ji turned, looking at him warily. He was certain he had never mentioned his father’s name to anyone. Even Royce and the others didn’t know.
Seeing Shen Ji’s guarded look, Sheng Lu’s face instantly turned from sunny to overcast. He sneered, suppressing the fire of jealousy deep within: “What are you going to see him for?”
“I’m going to see him for a check-up.”
Sheng Lu smiled knowingly: “Darling, Shen Yue is a Divine Healer, not someone who treats that kind of problem.”
Shen Ji: “?”
“I’ve heard that sometimes injuries to the mental sea can cause psychological shadows in that area, which in turn affects a normal sex life,” the hunchback added unseasonably.
Veins popped on Shen Ji’s forehead: “Shut up. That is absolutely not the case, okay?”
The more irritable he became, the more pathologically Sheng Lu smiled, even saying dotingly, “Don’t worry, baby. I’ll make sure they don’t talk nonsense.”
They?
Shen Ji turned and saw the stunned crowd in the octagonal ring, all staring at him in unison. Those guys hadn’t left yet. Shen Ji wanted to facepalm.
Someone said, “You want to see Mr. Shen Yue, right? Mr. Shen is indeed very professional in all aspects of mental sea treatment.”
At this moment, everyone was exceptionally considerate toward him: “Come, friend, we’ll give you a lift, as long as you aren’t part of the Shaxing organization.”
Shen Ji: “…” That’s no longer necessary.
The benevolent captain reached out again: “I know where Mr. Shen is. Come.” Now he was even more convinced that Shen Ji was being coerced by Shaxing. He had to take him back.
Shen Ji had lost all energy and means to argue. In this mess of a world, he even felt like falling over and sleeping.
Suddenly, Captain Q took a call. While speaking with the person on the other end, his gaze fell on Shen Ji’s face, shifting from surprise to a complex expression.
Finally, he hung up: “Shen Ji, you must come with us this time. People from the International Union are looking for you.”
Shen Ji successfully boarded the Whale-ship as he wished. As he left, Sheng Lu actually didn’t stop him.
Under the octagonal teleportation array, Shen Ji looked back. He saw Sheng Lu’s eyes were obscured by the dark shadows of the trees, with only the corners of his mouth hooked in a slightly pathological curve. He opened his mouth and said something silently.
Judging by the shape of his lips, he said: “It’ll be ready soon. Don’t be in a hurry, Sheng Lu.”
Was he talking to himself, or truly conversing with a demon? Shen Ji suddenly had a very bad premonition.
