Help! My Fanservice Partner is Looking at Me Differently Lately - Chapter 26
Shen Xunye, who had confirmed the video was saved, arrived a step late. “Are you still going to dance?”
“Of course.” Chi Li grabbed a handful of his hair. “It was only one song; my muscles and bones have not even warmed up yet.”
“Are you still dancing girl group choreography?” Shen Xunye tilted his head and smiled.
“Not anymore.” Chi Li shook his head. He had learned girl group dances previously to better control his limbs, not because he had any particular hobby; he could not keep dancing them forever. Even if the audience liked it, it would not do.
“Did you hear that?” Wei Xuan said to the phone in his hand. “You should be satisfied that I danced one song; being greedy will only lead to poor results.”
Seeing him come over, Chi Li asked with concern, “Did you reach 500 members?”
“Enough, more than enough.” Wei Xuan was overjoyed. “It went up by more than 2,000 all at once; they all said it was worth the watch.”
“Good.” Since the goal was reached, Chi Li felt at ease. “Do you want to practice dancing together?”
“Sure.” Wei Xuan looked at Chi Li as if he were a god of wealth. “Let me tell the audience first.”
Chi Li nodded and turned to look at Shen Xunye. “Do you want to learn a bit too?”
“Do I look like a good seedling who can learn to dance?” Shen Xunye politely declined. Compared to learning it himself, he preferred watching someone else dance.
Jiang Lele came over and interjected, “What kind of practice do you actors usually do?”
Shen Xunye, the fake actor, raised an eyebrow and casually spouted nonsense. “Watch films with a learning mindset and practice acting in front of the mirror.”
“I also practice expression management in front of the mirror,” Jiang Lele said excitedly.
Shen Xunye immediately turned and asked Chi Li, “Do you practice that too?”
Jiang Lele: “.”
“Of course.” Chi Li glanced at him and took Jiang Lele’s phone to start picking a song. “This is basic training for an idol.”
“Hmm.” Shen Xunye nodded thoughtfully. That is to say, the expression management Chi Li had just displayed was very likely something he had practiced in front of a mirror. He knew very well what he did to be the most alluring.
“Exactly, our teacher also emphasizes this point in class,” Jiang Lele interjected again.
Shen Xunye had no intention of responding to him.
Chi Li handed the phone back to Jiang Lele after choosing the song. “I have learned a lot, but unfortunately, I have not had a chance to put it to use.”
Jiang Lele’s expression was awkward. “Yes, indeed.”
Wei Xuan finished bidding farewell to the audience and joined Chi Li and Jiang Lele’s dance practice squad.
Shen Xunye retreated to the viewing area. Just as he was about to open his phone to record, he saw from the corner of his eye that the two people on the other side of the studio were engaged in a close-contact, hot dance.
He closed his eyes and rubbed his brow, then opened them again. It was not an illusion. Their hips were sliding against each other, almost touching. Zhou Yang’s palm was slowly sliding down Xie Weishui’s spine, stopping at the dimples of his lower back to draw circles suggestively.
Truly disgusting. Shen Xunye quickly looked away.
On the other side, the trio of Chi Li, Wei Xuan, and Jiang Lele had already started dancing. Shen Xunye’s gaze instantly nailed itself to Chi Li’s waist. The hem of his T-shirt was lifted and dropped by his movements, revealing his taut abdominal muscle lines each time. Chi Li supported the floor with one hand and leaned backward, his waist and abdomen arched into a perfect bow. The light glided over his sweat-dampened skin, which trembled slightly due to the exertion.
Shen Xunye’s Adam’s apple bobbed. He shifted his gaze to the other two people, trying to use disgust to offset his own desires. Unfortunately, that pair seemed to have finished their practice. Xie Weishui looked down at his phone, his fingers scrolling constantly, searching for something. Zhou Yang was staring fixedly at the center of the room.
Shen Xunye was one hundred percent certain that this person was definitely looking at Chi Li. It was very strange. Chi Li hated Zhou Yang to the extreme, yet Zhou Yang would occasionally show infatuation toward Chi Li. Why would such a situation occur? The answer did not seem difficult to guess.
Fine. Now, just looking at Zhou Yang’s face, Shen Xunye also began to feel disgusted. He retracted his gaze and looked at Chi Li again. Chi Li happened to be at a designated spot in the choreography, performing a beautiful wave with one hand on his waist. Shen Xunye stared at that section of the waistline that might have been held by someone else before, his molars aching.
When the music ended, he stood up immediately. “I suddenly want to learn how to dance,” Shen Xunye said.
Chi Li took the water bottle Wei Xuan handed him, twisted it open with force, and laughed. “Is it because you saw me dancing so handsomely that you want to show off a little too?”
“Do you know the dance they just performed?” Shen Xunye pointed his eyes toward Zhou Yang and Xie Weishui.
Chi Li tilted his head back to drink water. “I did not see it. What were they dancing to?”
Jiang Lele answered, “Tame Me.”
“Tame Me” was a famous hot dance duet in the industry; it was a performance piece that almost every pair of CPs in the industry would have. Xie Weishui actually used this trick on Zhou Yang so early. And why did Shen Xunye want to learn this? Wanted to learn it to sell the bromance act? It was highly likely.
Chi Li did not expect that Shen Xunye would be more invested in selling the act than he was. But this could not be rushed.
“I know it,” Chi Li nodded. “However, you cannot learn this dance right away; you have to practice some basic movements first.”
Shen Xunye answered in a second, “Then let us practice.” In any case, he would be able to learn it eventually.
“Fine.” Chi Li tightened the bottle cap and quickly swept away the water droplets lingering at the corner of his lips with the tip of his tongue. “While they are dancing, I will draw up a short teaching plan.”
Shen Xunye stared at Chi Li’s slightly moist lips where the tip of his tongue had just emerged, and he became distracted again.
“Hmm…”
Chi Li did not notice his strange expression. He pulled him to the side, leaving the center of the floor to Xie Weishui and Zhou Yang.
Soon, the music for “Tame Me” started. Chi Li buried his head in drafting the teaching plan, not giving a single glance from beginning to end. Shen Xunye, however, endured the feeling of disgust and watched without blinking from the very first second to the very last.
[I want to ask, does this mean the “Jin-Shui” CP has officially broken up?]
[What if there is a turn of events tomorrow?]
[The “Yang-Shui” CP, rise up!]
[God-tier “Yang-Shui” (amniotic fluid), I will curse whoever uses this CP name.]
[The “Yang-Wei” (impotence) CP, rise up!]
[You guys have had enough! [Covering eyes]]
[You can only blame these two for not having good names.]
[They are dancing so hard, and you guys are here arguing about whether the CP name is “impotence” or “amniotic fluid” [Vomit]]
[Thanks to you guys, I cannot even look at what should have been a hot dance anymore.]
[Laughing to death.]
“You guys danced really well,” Wei Xuan gave two thumbs up as soon as it ended. “You should do an official version to benefit the audience.”
Jiang Lele added with a smile, “I do not know how many people are going to ship you today.”
“What nonsense are you talking about?” A trace of sincerity actually appeared in Xie Weishui’s fake smile; it was clear he was very satisfied with his recent performance. “It has been a long time since I moved my body, and I have to thank my junior for leading me. Junior brother?”
Xie Weishui was just about to pass the conversation to Zhou Yang, but when he turned his head, he discovered that he did not know when he had run over to Chi Li’s side.
