Good Night, Brother! - Chapter 10.3
“Are you crying?”
“Hyung, this is so touching.”
But then, Eunhyun suddenly felt something hard pressing against his lower back.
“Ugh, wait! Why are you?”
Touched, yet aroused? How did that even make sense?
Jeong Yi Hyeon, undeterred, rubbed his burgeoning arousal against Eunhyun while nuzzling his face against Eunhyun’s. His hot breaths brushed past Eunhyun’s ears.
“Ha… Hyung, I love you so much.”
“You crazy bastard! Put me down, now!”
Flailing his arms and kicking wildly, Eunhyun finally forced Jeong Yi Hyeon to lower him to the ground.
“Ha? You! Take care of that on your own.”
Eunhyun spoke with a chilly tone as he picked up the pink champagne bottle from the ice bucket, gazing at it absentmindedly. With a soft crack, the screw cap twisted open in his hand, and he poured the champagne into a flute glass nearby. The white foam fizzed up like beer before quickly fading, leaving behind a gentle, soda-like stream of bubbles rising to the surface.
“Oh!”
Eunhyun let out a small murmur of admiration at the refreshing sight. Without hesitation, he tilted his head back and downed the drink in one go, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he drank. In no time, the glass was empty, its crystal-clear surface restored.
“Ahh, so good.”
Jeong Yi Hyeon’s tearful moment of emotion vanished in an instant as he stared at Eunhyun, stunned by the suddenness of it all.
“Hyung? You can’t drink that!”
“You fool. It’s non-alcoholic.”
While Jeong Yi Hyeon had been swept up in sentiment, Eunhyun had already taken the time to confirm the champagne’s alcohol content. Narrowing his eyes, he checked the bottle label again, muttering under his breath.
“Hmm, is this a cheap champagne? It smells a bit artificial.”
Yep, that’s the Eunhyun I know. Jeong Yi Hyeon’s earlier emotional high deflated, replaced by a growing sense of suspicion.
“Did you really plan all of this yourself?”
This perceptive little rascal. Seeing no point in pretending anymore, Eunhyun decided to lean fully into his shameless act.
“Of course I did. Who else would’ve done it?”
“Still, the ‘Happy Wedding’ on the cake? That seems a bit much.”
How does he always pinpoint the one thing? It’s uncanny. Is this why people say not to date someone who knows you too well? Fully committing to his bluff, Eunhyun raised the stakes, keeping his voice calm and steady.
“What’s the problem? Today’s our wedding day.”
“…”
At those words, Jeong Yi Hyeon’s face turned a brilliant shade of red, deeper than Eunhyun had ever seen. His ears and the back of his neck were flushed as well, and somehow, seeing him like that made Eunhyun’s own face grow warm. Covering his mouth with both hands like a shy bride, Jeong Yi Hyeon quietly repeated the words to himself.
“Wedding!”
In the next instant, Jeong Yi Hyeon surged forward like a wild animal, sweeping Eunhyun into his arms and laying him down on the bed. Hovering over him, Jeong Yi Hyeon’s warm breaths spilled onto Eunhyun’s skin as he slid his hands under his shirt, pressing kisses all over his face, cheeks, and temples.
The onslaught of kisses, combined with Jeong Yi Hyeon’s wandering hands, left Eunhyun flustered. Though his own excitement was starting to rise, he pushed against Jeong Yi Hyeon with all his might.
“W-Wait… No, stop! The lunch will be here any minute!”
“Let’s just tell them to leave it at the door, yeah?”
The heat radiating from Jeong Yi Hyeon’s lower body was making Eunhyun’s mind foggy, and for a moment, he was tempted to agree. But something clicked in his head, and he pressed firmly against Jeong Yi Hyeon’s chest again.
“No, we can’t! They’re supposed to set it up by the pool!”
“Ha?”
A frustrated sigh, heavy with disappointment, brushed past Eunhyun’s ear just as the doorbell chimed with a clear “ding-dong.” The lunch had arrived.
The two followed the staff carrying a rattan tray piled high with food to the pool. The infinity pool’s surface blended seamlessly with the ocean beyond, reflecting the clouds and sky so vividly that the boundaries between water and sky seemed to dissolve. After arranging the floating lunch on the pool’s surface with practiced precision, the staff departed, leaving them alone.
Eunhyun had initially frowned when he saw the floating lunch service advertised on the villa’s website, thinking it would be awkward or lead to indigestion. But hunger won out, and he found himself eating more easily than he expected.
When Eunhyun casually picked up a piece of grilled eggplant from the side dishes, Jeong Yi Hyeon’s eyes widened in surprise.
“Hyung, what’s going on? You hate eggplant.”
Huh, now that he mentioned it. Just like the time he’d reached for pickles instead of pizza, Eunhyun realized he’d instinctively gone for the eggplant without thinking. Tilting his head in slight confusion, he shrugged and replied,
“Maybe Euni wanted it.”
For a moment, Jeong Yi Hyeon froze, fork and knife still in hand. Then his expression softened, his brows drawing together as he murmured,
“Hyung… Why do you say things like that all of a sudden?”
You’re going to make me emotional again.
Before Eunhyun could respond, Jeong Yi Hyeon leaned forward and pressed a kiss to his cheek, which was puffed out from chewing.
After lunch, the two spent hours playing in the pool before collapsing into a long, lazy nap to shake off the drowsiness.
By the time they woke, the sun was setting.
