From Trashy A to the Heiress’s Little Son-in-Law After the Idol Competition (GL, ABO) - Chapter 76
After Shi Zhengyi gave her contact information, she rambled on: “Actually, you shouldn’t take those netizens’ comments to heart. They’re just sour grapes, jealous that you’re with someone wealthy or whatever…”
But Xiao Yanjin wasn’t listening at all.
She answered her phone sweetly: “Sister, I’ve already arrived and even chatted with Shi Zhengyi for a while. Okay, okay, I’ll definitely be back by ten. I won’t leave you feeling lonely, promise.”
Shi Zhengyi: “…” So she really doesn’t care. Why was I even worried?!
“By the way, how are things between you and He Rou?” Xiao Yanjin obediently said goodbye to Ji Yunuo before calmly asking.
Shi Zhengyi froze the shift in tone was way too abrupt. “Why are you asking that?”
“Do you like He Rou?”
“Why would you ask that?”
“Jiang Nan told me.”
“How does she know?!”
“Because she heard you talking in your sleep when you two were sharing a bed.”
Shi Zhengyi nearly choked on her drink.
Xiao Yanjin handed her a tissue to wipe herself off.
Shi Zhengyi: “We didn’t sleep together! My AC was broken that one time, so I crashed at her place.”
“Then why didn’t you crash at mine?”
Shi Zhengyi snapped, “Why?! Don’t you have any self-awareness?!”
Xiao Yanjin thought about it but still couldn’t figure out why Shi Zhengyi was so mad.
Shi Zhengyi gave her the answer: “Because you two go at it for way too long.”
Xiao Yanjin laughed awkwardly before steering the conversation back to He Rou.
“She hasn’t deleted my WeChat, but she never replies when I message her. Even at that engagement party, she barely spoke to me.”
Xiao Yanjin propped her chin on her hand. “Oh? Did you upset her?”
“No! I’ve thought about it, nothing’s changed. I don’t get it.” Shi Zhengyi hated talking about He Rou. Throwing herself into work had helped her slowly move past He Rou’s coldness, but now, just thinking about it made her heart ache again.
“Anyway, why do you want Teacher Hu Tingting’s WeChat?”
Xiao Yanjin’s eyes sparkled. “Can’t I pick up my old trade again?”
“What, can’t handle the pressure of being a kept Alpha anymore?”
Xiao Yanjin burst out laughing. She didn’t even check Weibo these days, too busy being cuddled, teased, kissed, and pampered by her sister. Life was beyond comfortable. Who’d waste time on that nonsense?
“Nope.”
Shi Zhengyi thumped her chest and declared with conviction, “Then let’s debut as a duo! You sing, I rap or we can find someone who can dance and form a trio. I’ve even got the name ready: [TFgirls]!”
Xiao Yanjin suddenly stopped laughing. For the first time, she looked at Shi Zhengyi with complete seriousness. “I have a wife and a baby to take care of.”
Shi Zhengyi froze. Maybe it was Xiao Yanjin’s intensity or the sheer absurdity of the statement, but she couldn’t help laughing.
Taking care of the future CEO of the Ji family and the CEO after that? This girl’s lost her mind. Why not just stay as the pampered Alpha, cuddled and doted on by her sister? Instead of enjoying the good life, she’s out here trying to conquer the world. She’s sick—absolutely sick.
Shi Zhengyi couldn’t help wanting to spit the wine in his mouth at her, the Xiao Yanjin he knew was someone who planned to laze around forever: “Have you lost your mind?”
Xiao Yanjin simply smiled without responding, “No more talking. I need to go back and see my sister now.”
Watching her tall retreating figure, Shi Zhengyi suddenly remembered something.
During the talent show, Xiao Yanjin had clearly intended to slack off, but halfway through the program, she started practicing dance diligently, even singing the theme song in her sleep at night.
Come to think of it, her sudden motivation seemed to coincide with the time she spent with Ji Yunuo.
Shi Zhengyi couldn’t help but exclaim in surprise, what a love-struck fool! While others might grow complacent in relationships, she worked harder and strived to earn money for love. What a peculiar case of being lovestruck!
The next evening, Xiao Liangmu and Liang Zhi invited the young couple to dine with them.
Having lived comfortably at the Ji residence these past few months, Xiao Yanjin and Ji Yunuo had initially been somewhat awkward, but now all reservations had disappeared.
At the same time, Xiao Yanjin also transferred money to them regularly, ensuring they could live comfortably without needing to work.
The Xiao family mansion was brightly lit.
“As A-Jin’s father, I realize I’ve been quite a failure, unable to provide her with solid support, and now even relying on my own daughter…” Xiao Liangmu poured himself a glass of wine, gulping it down until his face turned bright red. Before Xiao Yanjin even arrived home, he had already drunk several cups.
Liang Zhi frowned, having tried to dissuade him multiple times to no avail.
Xiao Yanjin asked, “Has Dad been drinking a lot lately?”
“Ever since the engagement banquet, he’s been drinking and smoking nonstop. I don’t know why, he never used to touch these before.” Liang Zhi was exasperated, thinking he should find work instead of idling at home in such a daze.
Ji Yunuo inquired, “Does Dad have something troubling him?”
“Getting money without working, I really can’t see what there is to worry about,” Xiao Yanjin mused. Could it be because of Xiao Xiren? His assets were overseas, and with the Xiao mansion under the Ji family’s protection, they couldn’t lay hands on it anyway.
Before the meal could finish, Liang Zhi and Xiao Yanjin had to carry the drunken Xiao Liangmu to bed.
Afterward, the two rejoined Ji Yunuo.
Liang Zhi said apologetically, “Yunuo, we haven’t visited you, I feel terrible about it.”
Truthfully, Xiao Liangmu was too embarrassed to visit the Ji residence; the sight of Wei Qin and Ji Yiye irritated him.
Ji Yunuo smiled gently. “It’s alright, Mom.”
Xiao Yanjin asked, “Mom, has Xiao Xiren been causing any trouble?”
“Not at all,” Liang Zhi replied. “Xiao Xiren and Li Mei took over some of our family’s companies, and the shares were transferred to them. Maybe your father gets upset seeing them thrive in the news feeling envious and resentful.”
Xiao Yanjin had no interest in managing the companies, and Xiao Liangmu lacked the capability, so she didn’t care where those businesses ended up.
But she certainly wouldn’t let Xiao Xiren and Li Mei off easily.
Fortunately, she had recently run into Li Mei and Wei Ge, deliberately flaunting her connection to the Ji family and hinting that she could ruin his beloved sister’s company anytime.
Seeing his face pale and Wei Ge fawning over her, she couldn’t help but feel smug.
“Zhi-Zhi…” Xiao Liangmu suddenly called out from inside the room.
Liang Zhi walked over, only for Xiao Liangmu to grab her arm, repeating hoarsely, “I’ve wronged you… I’ve truly wronged you.”
“What’s wrong with you?” Liang Zhi panicked as she watched him cry and make a scene. “You’re drunk, just go to sleep, okay?”
Xiao Liangmu finally settled down.
Xiao Yanjin stood behind them, at a loss, and sighed.
The two of them stayed at the Xiao residence.
Ji Yunuo walked into Xiao Yanjin’s old room and paused slightly.
Inside were skateboards, a high-end gaming PC, and various sports equipment like basketballs and soccer balls, all limited editions.
She remembered that after confiscating the Xiao family’s property deeds, she had never bothered to check them. Now, she felt a twinge of regret.
When Xiao Yanjin first transmigrated, she had also been startled by the original owner’s hobbies, but she hadn’t removed any of the items, preserving them out of respect.
“Do you like skateboarding?” Ji Yunuo asked.
Xiao Yanjin shook her head. “No.”
“Gaming?”
“No.”
“Basketball?”
“Sis, when have you ever seen me play?” Xiao Yanjin chuckled helplessly.
“Then why did you buy all this?”
“To show off, of course. These are all limited editions, super expensive. I just wanted to flaunt them in front of those rich alpha heirs. Doesn’t it make me look impressive?”
“Utterly childish,” Ji Yunuo scolded.
Xiao Yanjin hugged her. “Want to take a bath together?”
Xiao Yanjin was desperate to get her hands on her, using the excuse of “in case you slip” to stay close (and cop a feel).
Ji Yunuo had no chance to resist before the alpha pulled her into the bathroom.
After the bath, Ji Yunuo hadn’t brought any pajamas, so Xiao Yanjin wrapped her in a white towel, only to find the sight of her curves far too tantalizing.
The towel clung to her even more seductively than pajamas would have. Xiao Yanjin clicked her tongue in admiration.
Only to be met with a sharp rebuke: “Keep touching me, and I’ll hit you!”
Xiao Yanjin just grinned and pulled her into bed.
The original owner’s bed was small, and Xiao Yanjin guessed she preferred it that way for a greater sense of security.
Not that she minded, it meant more physical contact with her sister.
Ji Yunuo nestled in her arms, fingers tracing lightly over her skin before Xiao Yanjin caught them, their eyes meeting with a smile.
“This bed is so soft,” Ji Yunuo murmured.
Xiao Yanjin hummed in agreement. “Yeah, I thought so too.” The first time she slept in the original owner’s bed, she’d had the same thought.
“Then why didn’t you tell me to buy a new one?” Ji Yunuo asked.
“That’s the bed you slept in for over twenty years. I’d sleep in it every day if I could, never leaving.” Xiao Yanjin nuzzled against her, planting kisses all over.
Ji Yunuo laughed softly. In truth, the Ji family replaced their mattresses every six months, and she hadn’t stayed home much while studying abroad. But she chose not to explain, it wouldn’t matter anyway. Her little alpha had such an idealized view of her that even her clothes seemed like priceless treasures.
“Actually, I think small beds are nice,” Ji Yunuo said, wrapping her arms around Xiao Yanjin’s waist. “Cozy, so we can stay close.”
Xiao Yanjin kissed her. “Alright, we’ll buy one next time.”
Ji Yunuo nodded. She had a separate piano room there should be enough space there.
Xiao Yanjin’s body burned with desire as she pulled Ji Yunuo tighter against her.
Outside, a light rain began to fall, the soft patter reaching their ears.
“Sis,” Xiao Yanjin murmured, a scene from a novel forming in her mind. “Don’t you think this is exciting?”
“Hmm?”
“Like, what if we were still high school students? You came to my house looking for me, but then it started raining, so you had no choice but to stay the night with me.”
Ji Yunuo couldn’t help but laugh. If they had fallen in love in high school, it wouldn’t have been her seeking out Xiao Yanjin, Xiao would have eagerly sneaked into the Ji household instead.
“And then…” Xiao Yanjin nibbled at her neck, her long hair brushing against Ji Yunuo like deliberate tickles, stirring a restless impatience in her heart.
Ji Yunuo wrapped her arms around Xiao’s neck, her eyes shimmering with unmistakable desire as her pheromones instantly spilled forth.
“Are you that eager to have me?” Her voice had softened into a coy, girlish shyness.
Xiao Yanjin nodded, her throat bobbing slightly.
With a soft whimper, Ji Yunuo pressed their lips tightly together.
Xiao pulled the towel free, deliberately leaving the lights on just to admire her properly.
Ji Yunuo flushed under her gaze.
“You… it’s not like you haven’t seen me before.”
Xiao Yanjin planted a light kiss on her forehead. “I just like looking.”
Ji Yunuo turned her head away, refusing to meet Xiao’s lecherous expression, her toes curling tightly.
Xiao stifled a chuckle and leaned down to kiss her again.
Perhaps their movements were too vigorous, the bed shook violently until, following the rhythm of their motions, a notebook gradually slipped out from under the mattress and fell to the floor with a soft thud. The sound made them freeze.
“What was that?” Xiao Yanjin asked.
