From Trashy A to the Heiress’s Little Son-in-Law After the Idol Competition (GL, ABO) - Chapter 11
The trainees of Eastern Dream had already changed into their performance outfits. Each wore a black uniform top, some paired with skirts of varying styles, yet all accentuated their snow-white complexions.
Suddenly, an unrelated alpha appeared, drawing unfriendly glances from the group.
Especially from Cheng Ling.
Although Ji Yunuo was aloof and rarely spoke, she at least got along well with Cheng Ling. Cheng Ling knew about her blind date with Xiao Yanjin and was well aware that Ji Yunuo would never be interested in such a frivolous, trashy alpha. Her attitude toward Xiao Yanjin was downright hostile.
“What do you want?” Cheng Ling assumed she was here to harass Ji Yunuo.
“Where’s Ji Yunuo?” Xiao Yanjin ignored her coldness.
“Why are you looking for her? What, here for another blind date?” Cheng Ling sneered, prompting mocking laughter from the others.
“Is she still in the dressing room?” Xiao Yanjin stared at her coldly, enunciating each word. “Go check on her in the dressing room. Now.”
“Why should I listen to you?”
“Then I’ll go myself.”
“You pervert! An alpha barging into an Omega’s dressing room?” Cheng Ling immediately blocked her path.
Xiao Yanjin glanced at the members of Yuku Entertainment, three in total, two alphas and one Omega who must have gone to the dressing room.
She really didn’t want to interfere, but the thought of Ji Yunuo, someone so proud being locked inside and humiliated in a public report made her blood boil. What if she did something drastic?
Xiao Yanjin sighed. Why was she even thinking about this? Was it just because Ji Yunuo was paying her?
Shaking off the thought, she opened her clear eyes and immediately grabbed Cheng Ling’s wrist, dragging her to the dressing room door.
“Are you insane? Let go of me!” Cheng Ling snapped.
Xiao Yanjin pointed inside and barked, “Go in and find Ji Yunuo right now!”
As an alpha, barging into an Omega’s dressing room was inappropriate. But the mental image of Ji Yunuo trapped inside sent a jolt through her chest. Forgetting her own gender, she took one step, then another, and entered.
A chilly draft slipped through the slightly open window, but the room was empty.
“Ji Yunuo,” Xiao Yanjin called, frowning.
Suddenly, a cold sensation crept up her back. She spun around just as an Omega’s arm locked around her neck, slamming her butterfly bones hard against the wall.
Thud.
“What the hell is wrong with you?!”
Standing before her was a tall, top-tier Omega clad in a black velvet dress.
Her skin was snow-white, her delicate collarbones on full display. Jet-black, straight hair cascaded down her back, and her bare calves were as smooth as lotus roots, flawless like fine jade.
It was Ji Yunuo.
Ji Yunuo lazily regarded Xiao Yanjin, her bright eyes flickering slightly. She leaned in, her breath warm and fragrant. “They wouldn’t dare do something like this unless they had a death wish. I never expected you to come in. Don’t tell me you’re here for a piece of the action too?”
Xiao Yanjin’s gaze dropped to Ji Yunuo’s hand pale, with faint blue veins running across, both restrained and alluring. A subtle rose fragrance teased her senses, pulling her in. She closed her eyes briefly. Even while choking me, her touch feels this good. Truly a young mistress’s hands.
Noticing Xiao Yanjin’s oddly pleased expression, Ji Yunuo grew suspicious and quickly released her.
Xiao Yanjin cursed, “Only a brain-dead idiot would do that. Don’t you dare frame me.”
Ji Yunuo had already put some distance between them, her hair cascading down one side. Serene, gentle, aloof no words could fully capture her essence.
Xiao Yanjin’s breath hitched. Somehow, this Omega seemed even more beautiful than before though she’d always been stunning.
“Why did you come looking for me?” Ji Yunuo asked lazily.
Xiao Yanjin turned her head away. “Fine, I’m just being a good Samaritan, okay? I was worried someone might bully you.”
“Is that really your reason?” Her voice remained languid but carried an icy undertone.
“What, can’t a scumbag Alpha like me play the hero?” Xiao Yanjin glared coldly. “Anyway, since you’re fine, I’ll take off now.”
Ji Yunuo lowered her gaze, seemingly lost in thought, yet still blocking Xiao Yanjin’s path.
“What, you won’t let me leave?” Xiao Yanjin scoffed. “Don’t tell me you actually think I set you up. I may be—”
“You talk too much,” Ji Yunuo cut in coldly.
“Then move aside, or I’ll kiss you.” Xiao Yanjin tried to scare her off with the threat, but her lips froze mid-air when Ji Yunuo still didn’t budge.
Xiao Yanjin stiffened. What was she trying to do?
“There’s something I need to tell you.” Before Ji Yunuo could finish, footsteps echoed from outside.
“Xiao Yanjin, what the hell are you doing?!” Cheng Ling froze upon seeing the two in a standoff.
Ji Yunuo said flatly, “She’s fine. She just came to check if anyone was bullying me.”
Cheng Ling looked baffled, who would dare bully the Ji heiress? This was clearly the scumbag Alpha’s excuse. “Let’s get on stage now.”
Xiao Yanjin returned to her seat. The performers from YuKu Entertainment were already on stage, all three were skilled, no wonder they feared losing fans against Ji Yunuo.
Distracted, Xiao Yanjin replayed Ji Yunuo’s ambiguous attitude earlier. One moment cold, the next… something else.
Wait, why was she even thinking about this? It wasn’t like they’d cross paths again. No need to overcomplicate things!
As YuKu’s group finished, the contestants erupted in applause.
Now, everyone eagerly awaited Ji Yunuo’s performance.
It would be breathtaking. Flawless. A masterpiece.
“Ji Yunuo, you’re so gorgeous!” He Rui cupped her hands around her mouth, cheering.
Shi Zhengyi snorted at her excitement.
Chu Luo’s gaze never left Ji Yunuo, her lips curling into an admiring smile.
They’d acted together as children, and ever since, Chu Luo had kept tabs on her admiration blooming into something deeper. Even after landing lead roles in short dramas, she’d joined this survival show without hesitation.
Not for fame, but because Ji Yunuo was here.
Yet during auditions, Ji Yunuo had claimed not to recognize her. Furious, Chu Luo was determined to prove herself, to make Ji Yunuo remember her!
Grinning for the first time in five hours of filming, Chu Luo watched intently.
Ji Yunuo stepped onstage, her expression frosty as ever until the music began, and a smile graced her lips.
Xiao Yanjin, now fully focused, propped her chin on her hand, struck by a single thought:
Her smile is… really something else.
Her expression control was so effortlessly mastered wasn’t this person just too perfect?
Her long hair, as dark and glossy as the dress she wore, carried a rich, cool fragrance.
“Excellent.” Ji Mian rarely saw trainees with such a domineering big-sister aura. Most would choose explosive songs for the stage to briefly captivate the audience.
Slow songs like this hardly allowed one to showcase their best abilities.
But Ji Yunuo was different. Her singing, her poise everything exuded an air of elegance.
Not a single dance move was out of place, not a single note off-key. What she presented to everyone was nothing short of perfection.
Every time Ji Mian saw her, she was reminded of her wife, who was currently filming abroad. Back then, her wife had also been the epitome of a goddess!
“Cheng Ling, your rating is B. Ji Yunuo, yours is A…” The expected outcome surprised no one, Xiao Yanjin included.
All the initial stage performances were now complete.
Out of 110 participants: 10 received an A, 21 a B, 31 a C, 23 a D, and 25 an F.
Xiao Yanjin was assigned the green C-class uniform, watching as Ji Yunuo walked out with the pink A-class outfit, her gaze lingering.
Xiao Yanjin pursed her lips. Their uniforms were definitely prettier.
Due to ABO dynamics, dorm assignments weren’t based on ratings. Xiao Yanjin ended up sharing a room with Jiang Nan, Shi Zhengyi, and an alpha named Ran Wan.
Shi Zhengyi stealthily pulled a phone from her suitcase.
Xiao Yanjin happened to catch it. During the competition, the production team had banned phones, confiscating many earlier.
Not just Shi Zhengyi, Jiang Nan and Ran Wan also took out their phones.
Xiao Yanjin: “…”
“Wait, how did you all bring phones?” Xiao Yanjin couldn’t help but ask.
“Isn’t bringing a phone normal?” Jiang Nan blinked.
“But the production team said no phones allowed?”
“They only banned them to keep us from seeing online comments and affecting our mindset. But who can resist checking if they’ve gone viral? Not looking would drive anyone crazy,” Shi Zhengyi said dismissively, then grinned at Xiao Yanjin. “Don’t tell me you actually listened to them?”
Xiao Yanjin nodded.
“Never thought the esteemed Miss Xiao would follow their rules.” Shi Zhengyi smirked, as if teasing.
Xiao Yanjin shot her a glance.
Shi Zhengyi’s carefree demeanor masked a straightforward personality. After some observation, Xiao Yanjin decided she’d make a good friend.
“Either way, I hope our dorm gets along well,” Xiao Yanjin said with a smile. “Making it to debut is uncertain, but as they say, ‘If one of us rises, don’t forget the others,’ right, Zhengyi-jie?”
Shi Zhengyi chuckled.
She pulled another phone from her bag and handed it over.
“To avoid getting caught, I brought spares. Remember, in the last male idol audition, the production team confiscated over 500 phones in one sweep. Be careful from now on.”
“So that’s how it is.” After a moment’s thought, Xiao Yanjin took the phone. “Thanks for this.”
“No problem.” Shi Zhengyi hid the calculation in her eyes. Sticking close to someone with high visibility meant more screen time why not build a good relationship?
After packing their luggage, they each headed to their respective classes.
