Forced into a Secret Marriage with the Villain, We Now Have a Child - Chapter 5
Even the most obtuse person could tell that Jian Chun was angry.
And Yu Siyi was anything but obtuse.
Jian Chun had been acting strange lately. After lunch, Yu Siyi coaxed Niannian to sleep and prepared to do the same for Jian Chun. She knew Jian Chun’s cat-like temperament; a little coaxing usually did the trick.
However, Jian Chun didn’t actually need coaxing. She had already adjusted her mindset after the earlier “little sister” provocation. Right now, she was more worried about her job.
In the class group chat, students were discussing things fervently, their homework still unfinished. Some @-ed Jian Chun, curious about their new teacher.
Jian Chun scanned the messages. Combined with a message she’d received from a homeroom teacher earlier, she learned she was supposed to take over Class 1-10 next semester because their previous teacher went on maternity leave.
One thing after another, she thought, scratching her hair. The previous teacher had sent over all the courseware and detailed student profiles, as if entrusting her with orphans.
Did I not know how much I was worth? A teacher? Was my brain kicked by a donkey a few years ago?
Jian Chun gulped down a large mouthful of water, suppressed her gloom, and typed in the group: “Hello everyone, I’m Jian Chun, the new teacher taking over next semester. I hope we get along well.”
The group of sixty people exploded: “Hello, Teacher~” “Welcome, Teacher Jian!” “Teacher Jian, post a photo~” “Hi Teacher, I’m the class monitor for Class 10. You can ask me anything.”
Jian Chun went “lurking” immediately. Suddenly, her phone pinged with a notification. [Darling]: “Baby, I was wrong.”
Jian Chun didn’t hesitate. She clicked the contact name and changed “Darling” to “Yu Siyi.”
Yu Siyi sent a cozy voice message: “Baby, do you want anything to eat?”
Jian Chun flipped her phone over. We’re in the same house, and she’s still sending texts. How bored can she be?
The phone vibrated repeatedly. Already frazzled by the physics courseware, Jian Chun grabbed her phone and typed furiously: “Yu Siyi!!! Will you ever stop!”
She tossed the phone away. Out of sight, out of mind.
What Jian Chun didn’t realize was that the messages were flooding in even faster now. Because in her irritation, she had accidentally sent that message to the Class 1-10 group chat.
The students, who were already curious about the new teacher, saw the name “Yu Siyi” and went wild. The notifications hit 99+ in seconds.
“Teacher Jian, you like Yu Siyi too?!” “Are you talking about the Yu Siyi? Oh my god, my goddess!” “+1!!” “It turns out the teacher is a fan too!” “Why did the teacher stop talking?” “Wait, where did Teacher Jian go?”
“Did you guys see the Lantern Festival Gala the other night? Yu Beauty’s singing was so good! That song ‘Jiang Li’ was so beautiful, sob sob.” “Is Teacher Jian embarrassed?”
A moment later, the door was pushed open. Yu Siyi walked in carrying afternoon tea.
She had long limbs and a perfect silhouette, looking particularly slender in her elegant long dress. Jian Chun crossed her arms and looked away huffily.
“Preparing lesson plans?” Yu Siyi asked.
Jian Chun didn’t answer. There’s a type of person who takes their own incompetence out on others. Jian Chun would never admit she was that person, but looking at terms like “projectile motion” and “uniform circular motion,” she just wanted to scream.
She curled up in her chair, quickly closing the browser tabs where she had been searching for the answers to the problems.
Yu Siyi set the cake and milk aside, then half-knelt, resting one hand on Jian Chun’s lap. “Did I make you angry? I apologize, okay? Chun-bao, don’t be mad.”
Jian Chun let out a huff of anger. This clinginess… does she think I’m the family pet?
She raised her eyelids. “What am I angry about? Am I that petty?”
Yu Siyi chuckled and shook her head. Jian Chun realized she didn’t actually mind the proximity that much. As long as Yu Siyi didn’t cross a line, her internal alarm stayed silent.
“Are you stuck on a problem?” Yu Siyi asked. “You can ask me if you don’t know something.”
Jian Chun was about to snap back, but then she paused, her eyes lighting up. Say what you want about Yu Siyi, but her academic performance had always been top-tier. On objective questions, she never missed a single point. Even the “heroine” of the book couldn’t beat her in that.
“I’ve forgotten some things,” Jian Chun said bossily, wanting to see how long Yu Siyi’s patience would last. “Explain this to me.”
Yu Siyi obeyed, but instead of standing, she scooted closer and sat lightly on Jian Chun’s lap.
Jian Chun’s eyes went wide and round. She stared down at her own legs. Yu Siyi wasn’t heavy, and she wasn’t putting her full weight down, but…
Yu Siyi remained perfectly calm—natural, even. To her, sitting on Jian Chun’s lap was as mundane as eating a meal. She flipped through the courseware. “Which part don’t you understand?”
Seeing Yu Siyi so nonchalant made Jian Chun feel like her own thoughts were the problem. She scanned the first unit of the textbook. She felt lost and helpless.
Yu Siyi seemed to read her perfectly. “You don’t understand the example problems?”
Jian Chun pursed her lips and turned her head stiffly, looking utterly “done” with life. Yu Siyi was amused; she covered her mouth to hide a laugh.
“I… don’t seem to get any of it,” Jian Chun said, adding “seem to” just to save face.
Yu Siyi nodded. She shifted slightly on Jian Chun’s lap, leaning in until their breaths mingled. Jian Chun instinctively leaned back.
“Can you stop being so… flirtatious for one second?” Jian Chun gritted her teeth. It was hard enough facing her former rival peacefully.
Yu Siyi’s voice turned into a seductive, nasal hum. “Chun-bao, no reward for me?”
“…” Jian Chun scoffed. She had a thousand ways to shoot Yu Siyi down in her head, but she held back.
Their faces were extremely close. Jian Chun, having lost her initial panic, decided she couldn’t lose the “battle of the gaze.” She stared back intensely. For thirty seconds, she scrutinized Yu Siyi’s face.
Her skin was flawless, without a single visible pore. Near the corner of her left eye was a tiny mole, like a drop of ink. Her lashes curled upward, her features were perfect… Jian Chun went silent, her breath hitching.
Yu Siyi stopped teasing and wrapped her arm around Jian Chun’s waist, bringing her closer. She pointed to a problem. “I’ll explain it even without a reward.”
“Don’t touch my waist,” Jian Chun moved. It felt ticklish.
“Whatever my wife says,” Yu Siyi said amiably.
Jian Chun felt a bit complicated seeing her so well-behaved. “I didn’t force you.”
Yu Siyi hummed obediently. Jian Chun’s eyes flickered; she had to admit, having Yu Siyi “simping” for her felt pretty good.
But that satisfaction lasted only two seconds. Yu Siyi suddenly turned her head. Skin met skin; teeth brushed against lips.
It was a deep, lingering kiss. Jian Chun lost her train of thought instantly, an involuntary hum of pleasure escaping her throat.
When Yu Siyi finally pulled away, she gave Jian Chun’s waist a warm, soft squeeze. Jian Chun panted for air, her burning face hidden by her long hair. Her eyes lost focus as she stared at the floor. Her body felt strangely stiff; she squeezed her legs together and then slowly loosened them, terrified Yu Siyi would notice her reaction.
Yu Siyi tilted Jian Chun’s chin up with a warm hand and sighed softly. “You were too close. I couldn’t help myself.”
Jian Chun: “…”
Jian Chun’s expression shifted. Her body was being too honest, and it was incredibly humiliating.
I like it. My body likes her so much, what am I supposed to do?
