Forced into a Secret Marriage with the Villain, We Now Have a Child - Chapter 40.2
Jin Ziye couldn’t take it anymore. He shot up from his seat, exclaiming, “Damn it! Didn’t you just tell me to say it?”
Jian Chun maintained a slight, dangerous smile. “What was that you said?”
Jin Ziye’s bravado vanished instantly. He pulled his head back, his tall frame shrinking into the chair with an air of grievance. “I’m sorry, Big Sis. I’m still a ‘newbie’ at this—could you please not devastate me like this?”
Jian Chun replied with feigned kindness, “Just write. I’ll stay right here and watch you finish.”
Jin Ziye glanced at her several times, but from beginning to end, Jian Chun wore the unwavering smile of a saint.
Jian Chun truly believed she was being an excellent teacher. After all, two months ago, she herself had seen her grades skyrocket under the “watchful protection” of her chemistry teacher.
A Question of Taste
Jin Ziye wrote until the end of the noon break. As he stood at the office door ready to leave, he hesitated. “Teacher, one last question—”
Jian Chun tilted her chin, signaling him to proceed.
Jin Ziye’s face was a map of complex emotions. “What exactly did Yu Siyi see in you?”
Jian Chun looked at him. His curiosity was so genuine it was written across his entire face.
“Her eyesight is poor,” Jian Chun replied flatly.
Jin Ziye had a moment of sudden realization and nodded solemnly as if that were the only logical explanation. However, the moment he caught the murderous glint returning to Jian Chun’s eyes, he pulled his head back in a panic and bolted out the door.
Jian Chun watched him go, her eyes narrowing. Copying formulas once wasn’t nearly enough of a punishment.
