Exclusively Possessed By A Yandere Rich Girl - Chapter 16.2
As soon as the door closed, she ran a few steps and threw herself heavily onto the bed. So soft.
Xu Fei rolled over, expertly wrapping herself in the smooth duvet. She buried her face in it and took a deep breath, greedily sniffing the Omega pheromones lingering on her pajamas. The elegant floral scent filled her nose, and Xu Fei’s lips curled into a happy smile.
Being an Alpha was great, she could finally smell Zhu Nianxi’s pheromones too.
Just then, her phone rang again. It was Mei Qia.
Mei Qia: Feifei, forgot to tell you, if you come back, you don’t have to sleep in the storage room. I rented a new place, and there’s an extra guest bedroom. You can move in.
Xu Fei sat straight up in bed. Did Sister Mei mean what she thought she meant?
Xu Fei: What about the rent?
Mei Qia replied quickly.
Mei Qia: Don’t worry about it. If you don’t stay there, I’ll just use it for storage anyway. It’s the same as you sleeping downstairs.
Xu Fei couldn’t believe it. She hurriedly called to confirm it was really Mei Qia herself, checking several times. Hanging up, she still felt the surreal sensation of hitting the jackpot.
Her luck was too good!
Mei Qia sent a few photos of the apartment. Xu Fei clicked through them one by one, even more shocked. It was a two bedrooms, one living room apartment with a balcony and an independent kitchen. It was well-ventilated and bright. In the photos, sunlight flooded the living room. The decor wasn’t luxurious, but it felt warm in every corner.
How much would this cost?
Mei Qia: The landlord is a regular at the bar. The rent is about the same as before.
Xu Fei didn’t doubt it. She lay in the blankets, looking over the three photos again and again, becoming happier and more expectant. The hazy vision of the future she once had now took a concrete form. She couldn’t help but think: If only I had a home too, I could invite Nianxi over to play.
With a kitchen, she could cook for Zhu Nianxi, with a sofa, they could watch movies together with a balcony, they could soak up the sun.
The next day, she shared the good news with Zhu Nianxi in the car. Zhu Nianxi glanced at the photos. “Do you like it?”
Xu Fei couldn’t hide her smile. “I love it! The place Sister Mei lived in before only had one tiny window and no kitchen. We had to use a small pot to cook.”
Xu Fei suddenly stopped. Nianxi is the young lady of Huantai International, she lives in a villa!
Thinking of this, Xu Fei felt a bit embarrassed. But Zhu Nianxi only watched her quietly. There was no mockery or teasing in her dark eyes, only pure tenderness. She arched an eyebrow, catching a few glints of sunlight.
“Not going to continue?”
Xu Fei’s heart suddenly skipped a heavy beat.
The day of the monthly exam was clear and sunny, yet a dark cloud of student resentment hung over the teaching building.
The first subject, Chinese, was fine, no matter what, you could fill the paper. But the subsequent science subjects were different. If you didn’t know the answer, you just didn’t. Walking out of the exam room, some were joyful and others were grieving.
After finishing the Chinese exam, Xu Fei returned to the classroom to find many people gathered around Zhu Nianxi’s seat, their hands pressed together, bowing three times in prayer.
She was shocked. “What are you guys doing?”
Jiang Xuan, the one who told her the Luo Feng gossip, saw her. “Worshipping the God of Study. It’s the same logic as worshipping the Confucius statue downstairs.”
Before every monthly exam, the area around the Confucius statue was as crowded as a picnic.
After Jiang Xuan finished, Ni Zihao squeezed in, chanting under his breath. “As long as my total score isn’t a whole subject’s worth less than Zhu-God, I’m good. Bless me, bless me.”
Xu Fei didn’t expect Qin Weiran to be in the queue as well. The latter gave a shy smile. “It’s just for fun; everyone’s doing it.”
This made Xu Fei’s heart stir.
Estimating the time Zhu Nianxi would return, everyone finished their worship and left. With the Omega’s desk empty, Xu Fei stared at the clean surface. Should she… worship too?
The next exam was Physics. Zhu Nianxi had taught her for so long, it would be shameful to do poorly, right? The image of Zhu Nianxi’s blindingly high scores from the entrance exam flashed through her mind, and the desk seemed to glow with gold.
Xu Fei’s pressed palms rose slowly to her chest.
I must do well! I must improve! Don’t let her say yes to Luo Feng!
She opened her eyes contentedly, only to come face to face with the Huaiyang Middle School Western style uniform. The buttons were fastened meticulously, wrapping around the Omega’s slender, beautiful body.
Right in front of Xu Fei’s desk, Zhu Nianxi was standing there, watching with interest. Her playful gaze collided directly with Xu Fei’s wide pupils.
“Feifei, what are you doing?”
Never mind Xu Fei; several nearby students felt their hearts stop.
The person involved chose to bury her face in her arms and play dead. Xu Fei’s face was hot enough to smoke. The last time she felt like this was when she had marked Zhu Nianxi and couldn’t resist licking the tear from the corner of her eye.
After lunch, Xu Fei explained the reason to Zhu Nianxi. Zhu Nianxi asked, “Do you think it works?”
“It works… I think.” Xu Fei could only say that, otherwise she’d look too stupid.
Worship or not, she couldn’t help being nervous before the Physics exam. She had studied hard this month with Zhu Nianxi’s help. Although it started as a way to please Zhu Nianxi, Xu Fei was now curious to see how many points she could actually get.
Seeing the pictures Mei Qia sent, she felt a longing for the future. She wanted a home of her own too. From the present to the future, grades were the bridge.
Perhaps her nervousness was too obvious, because Zhu Nianxi didn’t go to her own exam room immediately. She walked to Xu Fei’s desk and placed a black pen on it. She reached out, tapped her slender finger on the pen twice, and pushed it toward Xu Fei.
Zhu Nianxi was smiling. “Here, I’ve cast a spell on it. It’s more effective than worshipping my desk.”
Hearing the Omega teasing her, Xu Fei’s face turned red as she gripped the pen and whispered her thanks.
One was in the 1st exam room and the other in the 14th; they parted ways at the stairwell. As Xu Fei walked downstairs, gradually blending into the bustling crowd, she suddenly heard a call from above.
“Feifei.”
Zhu Nianxi was leaning against the railing. The afternoon light and shadow played across her features, looking like a layer of expensive pale gold gossamer.
Zhu Nianxi looked at her. “I believe in you.”
This one sentence was more effective than ten thousand prayers. Xu Fei gripped the pen tightly, looked up, and gave a bright smile. “Mhm!”
When the Physics exam ended, Xu Fei walked out of the room feeling light-headed. Was it an illusion? Why did she feel like the exam wasn’t hard at all?
Back in the classroom, several students were gathered to compare answers for the multiple choice questions. Xu Fei sat in her seat, leaning further and further to the side, her ear practically pressed against the others.
Xie Han, who was good at Physics, said confidently: “The last multiple choice is definitely ACD!”
Jiang Xuan argued. “Did you judge the direction of the force field wrong? It’s clearly ACB!”
A weak voice joined in. “I also got ACD.”
Xu Fei had joined the conversation. Jiang Xuan looked at her, remembered Xu Fei’s last Physics score, and fell into silence. Xie Han immediately changed her tune, showing none of her previous certainty: “Oh, then it’s probably ACB.”
How could they! That’s so hurtful. Xu Fei turned around, swearing she’d never compare answers again.
Zhu Nianxi walked into Class 7 and instantly spotted the Alpha. Xu Fei also locked onto her immediately, her tea colored eyes full of accusation and grievance.
“What happened?”
Xu Fei instantly straightened her back. “Nianxi, what was the answer to the last Physics multiple choice question?”
Zhu Nianxi thought for a moment. “ACD. We reviewed that last night. Did you get it right?”
Xu Fei turned around, her gaze coolly sweeping over Xie Han and Jiang Xuan. Her tone was calm. “I got it right.”
Xie Han, Jiang Xuan: …
Zhu Nianxi guessed what had happened, and a smile she didn’t even realize was there touched her lips.
In between exams, Xu Fei didn’t forget about Luo Feng. Since she sat by the window, she would look out from time to time to observe the situation near the classroom. But after watching for two days, there was no sign of Luo Feng.
Before she knew it, Saturday arrived. Xu Fei finished her last exam, Biology. In the classroom, students were following Li Qin’s orders to return the desks to their original positions.
“No talking! Other classes are still testing!”
Xu Fei put her things down and instinctively went to move Zhu Nianxi’s desk. Then she ran to the back lockers to bring the books over, arranging them meticulously according to the Omega’s habits. Li Qin knew Zhu Nianxi had a leg condition, so she didn’t suspect anything.
By the time Zhu Nianxi returned, her desk was set up, neat, tidy, and exactly as it was before the monthly exams. Xu Fei nodded to her reservedly, looking very much like a “quiet achiever.” It was a strange feeling like having a “Snail Girl” taking care of things.
With the exams over, everyone’s thoughts had already flown out of the school. It was only because Li Qin was there that they didn’t burst into a noisy mess.
Xu Fei toyed with her pen, anxiously watching the clock. School was about to end; when would Luo Feng make her move?
There was a knock on the door of Class 7. Luo Feng appeared at the door. “Teacher, the Chinese answer sheets are scanned. You can send someone to count them.”
The classroom became noisy again. Everyone wanted to leave early, and hands shot into the air.
“Teacher, pick me!” “I’ll go! I’ll go!”
Li Qin scanned the “little brats” below. She needed someone who wouldn’t run away. Her gaze lingered on Jian Zhixing for a second… no, he needed to study.
“Nianxi, you go.”
As soon as she spoke, another intense gaze burned into her. Li Qin met Xu Fei’s eyes and was startled by the Alpha’s hopeful, almost pleading expression. She hesitated. “Xu Fei, you go along with her.”
This kid is honest, she shouldn’t skip school.
Xu Fei stood up happily. The place for counting papers was in another teaching building, and the path took them through Maple Leaf Road. The early autumn sun shone at an angle, and as the breeze blew, the half-red maple leaves swayed slowly. The fine light on the ground danced with them, it was as beautiful as a painting of youth.
Coincidentally, Xu Fei and Luo Feng were thinking the same thing.
Luo Feng walked more and more at an angle, getting closer to Zhu Nianxi. Her expression was shy as she took advantage of the atmosphere. “Zhu Nianxi, I’ve always…”
“Nianxi, what was the inheritance probability for that Biology question?” Xu Fei suddenly became incredibly studious.
“3/128,” Zhu Nianxi comforted her. “The questions were harder this time.”
Xu Fei gave an “oh.” She always left the inheritance questions blank.
It’s fine, Luo Feng told herself. The path is long, there will be another chance.
As it turned out, Xu Fei asked questions the entire way, firmly occupying the position right next to Zhu Nianxi. Luo Feng couldn’t smile anymore. Xie Han didn’t say Xu Fei was this obsessed with studying?
Still, in front of the person she liked, she kept her patience. “Xu Fei, I have something I want to say to Zhu Nianxi alone.”
Xu Fei blinked her deer like eyes, which came with a natural sense of innocence. “But I’m not finished asking yet.”
Luo Feng signaled her with her eyes until they almost cramped. Frustrated, she said, “Do you have to ask now?”
Xu Fei ignored her and looked at Zhu Nianxi with all her heart.
Maple shadows danced over her shoulders. Zhu Nianxi looked even more moving in the soft light. “It’s fine. You can ask now.”
Xu Fei beamed again. “Nianxi, you’re so nice.”
The three of them entered the mimeograph room with very different moods. The Chinese answer sheets for the entire grade were on the table. A few classes had already taken theirs, and the scene was quite messy.
Xu Fei blocked Zhu Nianxi’s hand, rolled up her sleeves, and picked up a stack of sheets. “I’ll do it.”
A young lady like her shouldn’t have to count papers, it was dirty work and required standing for a long time. It wasn’t suitable for Zhu Nianxi at all. Zhu Nianxi didn’t say anything; she just stood by Xu Fei and counted with her.
A peaceful and tranquil atmosphere surrounded the two of them, like an invisible barrier separating them from the outside world. No one could disturb them, and no one could intervene.
Noticing Luo Feng was constantly looking at them, Xu Fei increased her speed. When they finished, the count was off, about a dozen were missing.
Xu Fei was in a hurry to leave. “Maybe another class took them by mistake. They should be sent back to the classroom. Let’s head back first.”
Zhu Nianxi glanced at the corner of the room and let out a smile. “Alright.”
This was the last chance. Luo Feng followed the two of them out. Xu Fei took a large step, placing herself squarely between them.
Luo Feng watched the Omega’s back anxiously and whispered her revelation. “I plan to confess today.”
Xu Fei looked surprised. “Is that so? I just found out.” But she didn’t move an inch, still blocking Zhu Nianxi completely.
Just then, a student poked their head out from inside. “Hey, Class 7! You didn’t finish counting. There’s a pile left in the corner.”
The Chinese teacher happened to walk over. “Xu Fei, you go count them. I’ll take these answer sheets to the classroom.”
Luo Feng looked like she had just been saved. Xu Fei wanted to tell on her, but thinking of Zhu Nianxi, she swallowed her words and walked back into the room indignantly. She watched as Zhu Nianxi and Luo Feng’s figures disappeared around the corner.
On the other side, Luo Feng got her wish to be alone with Zhu Nianxi. They returned to Maple Leaf Road. The brilliant autumn colors made the Omega look exceptionally beautiful, making Luo Feng ignore the coldness in those dark eyes.
Luo Feng chose her words. “Zhu Nianxi, I…”
Zhu Nianxi interrupted her, as if she had been prepared. “I’m sorry, I refuse.”
Not expecting it to end so quickly, Luo Feng withered. “But you haven’t even let me introduce myself.”
“Exactly.” Zhu Nianxi looked at her calmly. Luo Feng learned for the first time that gentle peach-blossom eyes could also be devoid of temperature. “I don’t even know who you are. Why did you think I would be with you?”
Luo Feng was stunned, she had never actually thought about that. Zhu Nianxi’s lips curved into a mocking arc.
She caught sight of a skirt hem hidden behind a maple tree. She saw a girl’s concerned profile. Zhu Nianxi recalled the name for a few seconds. It seemed to be… Qin Weiran?
“In the future, you should focus on the people by your side.”
Leaving those words behind, Zhu Nianxi stepped slowly up the stairs and walked back toward the mimeograph room.
With scenes of a beautiful confession playing in her mind, Xu Fei’s fingers were practically on fire from counting so fast. She finished and escaped at top speed.
She checked the time, her eyes drooping. Ten minutes had passed, it was likely over by now. Xu Fei walked despondently, her pace extremely slow, instinctively resisting the bad outcome that might await.
But as she walked out of the corridor, she couldn’t help but look around. Where was Zhu Nianxi?
In early autumn, Yanjing was gradually turning from deep green to yellow. The campus was quiet, and the wind carried the bitter scent of vegetation… and the rich, enchanting scent of white roses.
A white rose with a thin layer of frost, blooming in the cold night. It could be as crisp as frost, making people afraid to approach, or as soft as honey, infinitely tender.
Xu Fei looked into the distance…
Zhu Nianxi was standing at the door. Bright light and shadows fell on her eyelashes, her nose, and her lips. Her already pale skin looked increasingly transparent, as if she were melting into the autumn scenery.
She tilted her head and gave a soft laugh. “Xu Fei, were you looking for me?”
