Exclusively Possessed By A Yandere Rich Girl - Chapter 1
On the first day of their sophomore year, the school held an opening ceremony. Xu Fei was called away by a teacher to help move some boxes.
Huaiyang High School was a prestigious, long-established elite school in Yanjing. Renowned for its stellar reputation and powerful faculty, it had produced the city’s top-scoring gaokao student for three consecutive years, making it a coveted sanctuary for countless parents.
The ceremony was held in the auditorium, with local media assisting in a full scale live broadcast. Senior students attended in person to watch, while the rest of the student body watched the live stream from their classrooms.
Before the broadcast even began, parents had already swarmed the comment section, spamming names and cheering wishes, effectively turning the chat into a massive wishing wall.
In early September, Yanjing’s temperature remained stubbornly high. The weather forecast predicted rain soon, making the outside air thick with sticky heat.
After carrying boxes across just one street, Xu Fei was already drenched in sweat.
Stepping into the cool, air-conditioned auditorium, she felt as if she had suddenly come back to life.
Brushing aside the hair that blocked her view, a pair of amber, deer like eyes were revealed, vibrant and crystal clear. Paired with deep set eye sockets and a high bridge, her face was striking and highly memorable.
Xu Fei tilted her head up, curiously taking in her surroundings.
With the live stream about to start, the stage setup was complete. Three beams of intense light beat down from directly above, illuminating the microphone standing in the center, lending the scene an intimidating gravity.
Beside the podium, in a slightly dimmer area, Xu Fei noticed a teacher talking to a girl.
The girl wore the Western style uniform of Huaiyang High School.
The navy blue blazer was perfectly tailored, outlining a waist that looked paper thin from the side. Beneath it, a crisp white button-down shirt fit snugly, accented by two wine red ribbons draped neatly across her chest.
The teacher was guiding her through her blocking.
The girl stepped forward, her movements controlled and deliberate, a considerable distance away from Xu Fei.
With the teacher no longer blocking her view, Xu Fei caught sight of the girl’s red plaid skirt, and further down, a pair of white calf-length socks. Their slender lines extended all the way down, tucked into glossy black patent leather shoes.
Just as the girl was about to step into the light, allowing Xu Fei to finally see her face clearly.
“I am absolutely exhausted!”
Suddenly, a heavy slap landed on her shoulder. Tao Yaqian unceremoniously shoved her way in, hogging the path of the AC vent.
Fanning herself with her hand, she complained loudly, “Do the school leaders even view us as human beings? Making us move things in this heat. So unlucky.”
Jian Zhixing was also sweating profusely. Strands of hair clung uncomfortably to her face, and her glasses kept sliding down her nose, wobbling at the tip. To make matters worse, she still had to set the box down properly…
Right then, someone took the weight off her hands.
Xu Fei supported the box with a gentle, meticulous movement, looking as if she hadn’t exerted much effort at all.
Jian Zhixing adjusted her glasses. “Thank you.”
Xu Fei had already let her hair fall back down, safely hiding her amber eyes behind it. True to her habitually quiet and reticent nature, she simply replied, “It’s nothing.”
Tao Yaqian giggled, slinging an arm intimately over Xu Fei’s shoulder. “Feifei, your strength is honestly just like an Alpha’s.”
The teacher in charge of the live stream walked over.
Looking at the chairs scattered haphazardly across the floor, she furrowed her brow. “Don’t just set up camp here. Now that everything’s delivered, take a few more steps to carry them downstairs, and then head back to your classrooms.”
Tao Yaqian glanced down at the winding staircase leading to the lower level and immediately groaned again. “You call that ‘a few more steps’?”
Just as Jian Zhixing was about to speak, a pair of hands with distinct, clean skeletal lines passed in front of her.
Xu Fei bent down, picking up Tao Yaqian’s box along with her own, holding them both steadily in her arms.
Tao Yaqian’s expression changed instantly. She beamed at Xu Fei and said, “Feifei, you’re the absolute best. I’ll wait for you in the classroom.”
With that, she slipped away.
Jian Zhixing was left speechless. She shot a look at Xu Fei.
Isn’t she just letting herself be pushed around?
Xu Fei pretended not to understand Jian Zhixing’s look. She extended a hand toward her as well. “Class Monitor, let me carry yours down too.”
The class monitor was, after all, an Omega.
“No need,” Jian Zhixing declined.
She wanted to say more, but Xu Fei had already walked far ahead, heading alone toward the brightly lit stage.
The closer she got, the more dazzling the lights felt.
Xu Fei set the two boxes of materials down by the door and stole another glance at the high stage.
The girl was gone.
After checking the contents, the teacher arranged for nearby students to distribute them.
Just as Xu Fei was planning to leave, the teacher called her out, handing her a piece of paper. “Student, could you please run this over to the backstage? This is the revised script. We’re going with this version.”
Clutching the paper, Xu Fei made her way backstage completely out in the open.
Her heart was thumping rapidly.
At the end of the corridor, a beam of sunlight spilled over a double winged walnut wood door.
Just deliver it and leave, Xu Fei encouraged herself.
She knocked on the door, her voice clear and clean. “Is anyone there? A teacher asked me to deliver.”
Her voice cut off abruptly. Xu Fei blinked, unexpectedly locking eyes with a pair of pitch-black eyes that resembled deep, freezing pools.
The face of Zhu Nianxi, the one she had been trying to catch a glimpse of this whole time, suddenly appeared right in front of her.
The girl behind the door possessed exquisite facial features and silky long hair. Beneath curled eyelashes lay a pair of pure black, peach-blossom eyes. Her nose was high-bridged, her lip line smooth and elegant, colored like a soft cherry blossom pink.
Xu Fei was a Beta. Logically speaking, she shouldn’t have been able to smell Zhu Nianxi’s pheromones.
Yet, she fell under an illusion. The moment the door opened, she seemed to catch a floral scent that carried like the wind, the scent of white roses.
Aloof and proud, Zhu Nianxi’s nobility and elegance carried an undeniable sense of distance.
Xu Fei lowered her gaze, her eyes landing on the pristine tips of the other girl’s shoes. She extended the paper in her hands. “The new script for the seniors…”
Before Zhu Nianxi could reach for it, another hand snatched it away. The teacher stepped in sideways, quickly calling out for the senior sister who would be speaking.
The backstage was a bustling, noisy chaos. Zhu Nianxi was called away as well. As the student representative, she was about to give a speech on the live stream. Several teachers hovered around her like she was a precious treasure, helping her adjust the equipment.
Realizing she was entirely redundant there, Xu Fei took a step back.
“Wait.” It was Zhu Nianxi who called her back.
The Omega extended a soft, pale, and delicate hand, her slender fingers gripping a bottle of electrolyte water. She smiled, offering a rare moment of approachability. “It hasn’t been opened.”
In an instant, many eyes in the room focused heavily on Xu Fei.
Xu Fei could almost hear them asking: Who is she?
“Thank you.” Carefully avoiding any physical contact with Zhu Nianxi’s hand, Xu Fei took the water, closed the door behind her, and left.
Xu Fei ran all the way back to the classroom, slipping into her seat just as the school leaders finished speaking.
Zhu Nianxi’s speech hadn’t started yet, so she hadn’t missed anything.
The homeroom teacher of Class 7 stood with hands on hips, tapping fingers against the podium, casting a warning glare at the students chatting below.
“Pay attention! If you can’t listen, then review your notes. We have the placement exams right after this, so pull yourselves together!”
Tao Yaqian was slumped over her desk, boredly flipping through the books on Xu Fei’s desk.
Noticing the bottle of electrolyte water, she reached out for it. “Feifei, where did you buy this? I went to the convenience store earlier, and the owner said the student council reserved all of them.”
Xu Fei quickly pulled the drink back and tucked it into her backpack. Her movements were swift, betraying a hint of urgency. “A teacher gave it to me.”
“Oh.” Tao Yaqian felt a bit awkward and pursed her lips.
It’s just a bottle of water.
When the teacher representative finished speaking and it was time for the next person to take the stage, a wave of discussion swept through the classroom.
Zhu Nianxi’s face appeared on the large screen. Her posture was perfectly upright, and a snow-white wrist emerged from her sleeve as she gripped the microphone, her rounded nails gleaming subtly.
Xu Fei raised her head. Zhu Nianxi wasn’t holding a script. She looked directly into the camera lens, her face devoid of much expression, yet she remained utterly breath taking.
The Omega’s voice was beautiful, crystal clear, flowing into the ears like a balm that could filter out all ambient noise.
Xu Fei listened intently, missing the surrounding whispers about Zhu Nianxi entirely.
“As expected of the young mistress. She was the freshman representative last year too.”
“Wealth, looks, and top-tier grades… did God even shut a single window for her?!”
“So perfect… does Zhu Nianxi even have a flaw?”
When Zhu Nianxi finished speaking, the director, likely harboring a bit of favoritism, didn’t cut the camera away immediately. Tens of thousands of viewers watched her walk off the stage.
Xu Fei’s gaze lingered on Zhu Nianxi’s right leg for a very long time.
The opening ceremony drew to a close, and everyone packed up their things to head to their respective exam rooms.
The discussions about Zhu Nianxi hadn’t stopped, evolving from public facts to whispered rumors.
“I heard Zhu Nianxi’s mom is on our school’s board of directors!”
“Didn’t someone from the neighboring class confess to Zhu Nianxi last year?”
“That happens literally every year, okay? If you date her, you can skip a hundred years of hard work.”
Tao Yaqian joined the conversation with the air of someone in the know. “People like her definitely have arranged marriages lined up. Isn’t Yin Fan from Class 1 really close with Zhu Nianxi? Maybe they’re already dating.”
The crowd murmured in sudden enlightenment.
Xu Fei silently organized her textbooks.
Huaiyang High School arranged its exam rooms strictly by academic ranking, spanning from top to bottom across twenty classrooms.
Xu Fei was testing in Room 15, while Tao Yaqian fared slightly better in Room 12.
The placement exams dragged on for two consecutive days. When the final exam ended, it coincided exactly with dismissal time, and the corridors on both sides were packed with students.
Xu Fei threw her backpack over her shoulder. Tao Yaqian was putting together a group to hang out, and finding themselves short of one person, she suddenly thought of Xu Fei and blocked her path.
“Feifei, why don’t you come along? It’ll be a lot of fun.”
Xu Fei replied, “I can’t. I have to work.”
With that, she kept walking forward.
Tao Yaqian chased after her, grabbing hold of Xu Fei’s backpack strap.
“Just for one day. Didn’t you say the owner there treats you really well? Just act a little cute and act spoiled, she won’t dock your pay.”
Looking at her warping backpack strap, Xu Fei felt a twinge of distress. “I can’t do that.”
“Xu Fei!” Tao Yaqian raised her voice. “Don’t be a party pooper!”
But she needed the money.
And Tao Yaqian knew that better than anyone else.
Their standoff was drawing a bit of a scene, causing several passing students to pause and stare for a few seconds.
Xu Fei hated being the center of attention. She loosened her grip on the bag strap, contemplating whether she should just give in and agree…
“Xu Fei.”
A cool, crisp voice cut through her spiraling thoughts.
Xu Fei turned around. Zhu Nianxi had appeared out of nowhere, standing by the stairwell, casually twirling a thin campus ID card between her fingers.
Sensing their stares, the Omega shifted her gaze away from the distorted photo on the ID card and let it rest on Xu Fei’s face.
She offered a gentle smile.
“Xu Fei,” Zhu Nianxi called out again, waving her over. “You dropped your card.”
Not daring to speak further, Tao Yaqian let go of her grip.
Xu Fei stepped forward and retrieved her card from Zhu Nianxi’s hand.
The illusion didn’t repeat itself. Xu Fei didn’t smell the white rose fragrance this time.
Once Zhu Nianxi left, Tao Yaqian leaned in close, her eyes filled with probing curiosity. “Feifei, do you know Zhu Nianxi?”
Xu Fei traced the edge of her campus card, slipped it into her pocket, and shook her head. “…No, I don’t.”
Ultimately, Tao Yaqian managed to find someone else to fill the spot, letting Xu Fei off the hook.
She suddenly shifted to an understanding tone, her eyes laced with pity. “Go on then, hurry to work. You have it so hard, how can your family bear to let you work like this?”
Xu Fei gave no reply.
Naturally, her family wouldn’t have been able to bear it.
If only they were still alive.
Her bicycle snaked through the narrow alleys of the city. From her freshman year to her sophomore year, Xu Fei had learned the layout of this area like the back of her hand.
Making one final sharp turn, the worn-out bicycle came to a steady halt by the back door of a bar.
The owner, Sister Mei, was already waiting.
Seeing the high schooler arrive, she stubbed out her cigarette and waved with a smile.
“Feifei is here.”
“Good afternoon,” Xu Fei nodded, her smile turning much more genuine.
Munching on a cookie given to her by Sister Mei, she ducked into the changing room and swiftly shed her school uniform.
Under the lights of the changing room, the girl’s physique appeared lithe and graceful.
Years of regular exercise had left her body coated with a layer of lean muscle, the lines beautifully defined without being overly exaggerated.
As fabric fluttered, her shoulder blades shifted up and down with her movements, resembling a silver fish gliding through water, teeming with vibrant vitality.
Once dressed in her uniform, her youthful frame was concealed beneath a white shirt and a black vest. Xu Fei additionally put on a pair of non-prescription black framed glasses, hiding her face even more thoroughly.
Some things could be hidden, but others simply couldn’t.
Even if they couldn’t clearly see Xu Fei’s face, plenty of patrons were more than willing to request her to serve their drinks. Her long arms and legs were pleasing to the eye, and the tips, needless to say, were always generous.
She stayed busy until 10 PM. While the night was still young for the bar, Xu Fei’s shift had reached its end.
Sister Mei had a strict rule, high school students had to keep high school hours.
Though she was clocked out, Xu Fei was still helping her colleagues clean up the private booths.
Sister Mei walked over, knocked on the door, and looked at Xu Fei. “Xu Fei, it’s time for you to go home.”
With no one else around, Xu Fei took off the bothersome glasses, and carelessly clipped her bangs back to make working easier.
Her face was clean and flawless, skin so tender it looked like it could bruise at a touch.
Pursing her lips, she looked at Sister Mei with a pitiful, pleading expression. “Can I sleep in the usual spot? I won’t cause any trouble.”
Those deer like eyes were an innate advantage, and the girl’s tragic background served as the perfect catalyst.
Sister Mei’s heart skipped a beat. She cursed under her breath in a quiet voice, “Sleep, sleep, sleep! Xu Fei, listen up, this trick isn’t going to work on me next time!”
The colleagues burst into laughter along with Xu Fei.
After cleaning the booth and taking a quick shower, Xu Fei lay blissfully on the small cot inside the bar’s storage room.
Betas possessed no pheromones and couldn’t smell anyone else’s, leaving only the scent of body wash lingering in the air.
It was a rose scent, thick and somewhat gaudily sweet.
Xu Fei felt that Zhu Nianxi would never smell like this.
Exhaustion rolled in like a tidal wave, and Xu Fei closed her eyes.
Right before falling completely asleep, she recalled Tao Yaqian’s question from the afternoon.
Xu Fei, do you know Zhu Nianxi?
Of course I do. And much earlier than any of you.
But did Zhu Nianxi still remember her?
She probably didn’t.
Outside the bar, a black Maybach sat parked by the curb, its headlights gleaming brightly, remaining unextinguished for a long time.
It was waiting for someone.
