Everyone Loves the Villainous Scumbag [Quick Transmigration] - Chapter 13
Luo Jianghe rubbed his nose somewhat unnaturally. “Yeah, we are going back.”
Just as he finished speaking, Yu Wuyang stepped out from the adjacent private room. Upon seeing Luo Jianghe, his ears turned red, and he lowered his head. “I think I should just go back to the hotel.”
Luo Jianghe frowned. “Then what about your luggage?”
“I, I will go back after I get my things.”
Luo Jianghe felt a headache coming on. He pressed his hand to his forehead. “Yu Wuyang, shut up and follow me home. Do not say another word about going back to the hotel.”
It was still snowing occasionally outside. Setting aside his system mission, even as a regular friend, he could not bring himself to wash his hands of someone else’s affairs after already getting involved, especially over a small conflict.
After Luo Jianghe spoke, Yu Wuyang indeed fell silent and simply followed him obediently. Fu Chen’s eyelids flickered as he listened, but he offered no further reaction.
Since they were leaving so soon after arriving, Luo Jianghe did not feel right asking Mother Luo to pick them up. Following her instructions, Luo Jianghe went to settle the bill. While he did not pay for the snacks and drinks, he paid for the afternoon reservation of the private room. Once the bill was settled, he booked a car online.
The three of them returned home in total silence.
When they arrived, Mother Luo was in her room upstairs. Hearing the commotion, she stepped out. Seeing Luo Jianghe and Yu Wuyang returning to their room, she asked curiously: “Back so soon?”
Luo Jianghe offered a casual excuse: “Yeah, it was not that fun. We got bored and came back.”
Mother Luo was not in the habit of micromanaging her son’s social life. Seeing that he had answered, she did not pry further.
As for Fu Chen, he was unusually well-behaved. He did not utter a single sarcastic remark to either Luo Jianghe or Yu Wuyang during the trip. After returning to the Luo house, he seemed intent on giving them space to talk, heading straight to the guest room without making a sound.
Entering his bedroom, Luo Jianghe stared at the two quilts already laid out on the bed and fell into a heavy silence.
“Maybe I should sleep in the living room tonight,” Yu Wuyang offered, sensing Luo Jianghe’s awkwardness.
Luo Jianghe looked at him, feeling an indescribable mix of emotions: a bit of guilt and a fair amount of embarrassment. Even without an explanation from Yu Wuyang, the system notification confirmed that Yu Wuyang’s favorability toward him had reached 85%. On a hundred-point scale, reaching 85 meant he likely liked him to the point of losing self-control.
Yet, Yu Wuyang still believed his affection was one-sided and that Luo Jianghe was simply a good person. What Yu Wuyang did not know was that Luo Jianghe had approached him with an agenda from the very beginning. His kindness was not entirely pure. In real life, if he encountered someone being bullied, he might have felt it was none of his business.
Luo Jianghe’s tone was flat, lacking both accusation and anger. “My parents will get suspicious if they see that. Stay in my room. I will just make a bed on the floor.”
Yu Wuyang’s eyes reddened. “Jianghe, do you find me disgusting?”
For the first time, Luo Jianghe felt that being a good person was exhausting. He wished his moral compass were a bit more shallow; then, he would not feel so much self-reproach for causing Yu Wuyang pain.
“I am, just a bit surprised by your behavior today.”
He could not help but ask the system in his mind: ‘System, do you have any other rewards? Like, giving me a hundred million once I finish the mission?’
017 sounded quite speechless. [No. It is already lucky enough that you kept your life. What are you thinking about, Host?]
“Have you never thought about me?” Yu Wuyang’s voice betrayed his refusal to give up.
“Thought about you in what way?” Luo Jianghe swallowed. He could not deny that he had intentionally maintained an ambiguous atmosphere for the sake of the mission, but there were also times when he was kind to Yu Wuyang purely out of pity for the boy. Ambiguity and pity were often tangled together, leaving even him feeling confused.
“If you do not think of me that way, why are you so good to me? You feel distressed when I am hurt. You can spend an entire day chatting with me without getting tired. Even when I told you I went back to my uncle’s house, you still came to the school because you were worried. Luo Jianghe, since you do not like me, why do you do so much for me? Do you really think the feelings between us are just friendship? Or are you just lying to yourself?”
As Yu Wuyang spoke, he moved closer to Luo Jianghe step by step. Luo Jianghe was left speechless by the questions and retreated until the boy, who was half a head shorter, pressed him into a corner. With nowhere left to run, he was forced to meet Yu Wuyang’s eyes.
The boy’s voice was low, his tone accusing: “Do you realize that all these actions represent ‘liking’ someone?”
It was true. Ambiguity is merely an unannounced liking. The early stage of ambiguity is lingering at the door titled “liking”; the middle and late stages are the unspoken understanding between two people, a secret they both know.
Luo Jianghe had used this ambiguity as an umbrella, thinking that as long as he did not voice the word “like,” he could enjoy Yu Wuyang’s love without facing judgment. But now that Yu Wuyang had finally gathered the courage to express his love, Luo Jianghe was running away like a coward. He did not even want to admit to the previous ambiguity, let alone the affection.
“I just think of you as a good brother. You are overthinking it and misunderstood.” Luo Jianghe pursed his lips, his elegant brows furrowed as he avoided Yu Wuyang’s gaze.

“I, misunderstood?”
Yu Wuyang usually had a mild temper, almost to the point of cowardice. Yet, this same person showed a different side in front of Luo Jianghe today.
“Then let us find out.”
Before Luo Jianghe could grasp the meaning behind those words, Yu Wuyang grabbed his chin. In that instant, Luo Jianghe guessed exactly what was coming. He tried to dodge, but he was not as fast as Yu Wuyang.
“Mmph!” A cold sensation hit his lips as four lips pressed together.
Perhaps fueled by anger, the usually weak Yu Wuyang exerted incredible strength. Luo Jianghe could not break free; pinned against the wall, he had no way to escape. Yu Wuyang’s kiss left his head spinning.
In his past life, Luo Jianghe had been a straight man. This was not his first time kissing, but his past partners had all been girls. Like most men, he liked women who were youthful and pure. Such women were gentle and non-threatening. Even the boldest would only kiss him proactively, while he usually took the lead in suggesting dates, holding hands, and kissing. Perhaps because his initiative was not particularly intense, his breakups were always initiated by the women. With his face, he never lacked people approaching him. While he felt a bit down after a breakup, he had never experienced a truly heart-wrenching one. Perhaps his feelings had never been deep enough, so those relationships were as bland as plain water, as if they had never happened at all.
Despite this, he had never doubted that he was suited to be the one in control. But today’s kiss shook some of his core beliefs.
They had only kissed once in the private room, and their tongues had not even touched then. Yet Yu Wuyang seemed to have a natural talent for kissing; he could make a person lose their senses. In his daze, Luo Jianghe actually responded, gasping and entangling his tongue with Yu Wuyang’s.
“Jianghe,” Yu Wuyang was overjoyed by the response. He knew it; it was not just one-sided. Luo Jianghe liked him too.
However, it was that very call that snapped Luo Jianghe back to reality. His hazy eyes instantly cleared, and he shuddered as if his soul had finally returned to his body. Since he could not break free with his hands, he kicked Yu Wuyang’s shin hard.
Yu Wuyang let out a muffled groan of pain, stepped back, and loosened his grip. Luo Jianghe seized the chance to escape to the door. Before leaving the room, he turned and said to Yu Wuyang: “There is no possibility for us. Do not cross the line, Yu Wuyang. Otherwise, we cannot even be friends.”
With that, Luo Jianghe opened the door and walked out.
Luo Jianghe was in a foul mood. When he got downstairs, he found Fu Chen opening the fridge to get a bottle of water. He was clearly very comfortable living in the Luo house.
Fu Chen was not surprised to see Luo Jianghe. He simply asked: “Do you need me to vacate the room tonight?”
“Are you leaving early?” Luo Jianghe asked, confused.
Fu Chen shook his head: “I mean, I will give my room to him, and I will sleep in your room.”
Luo Jianghe felt this was pointless and refused: “No need. Moving things back and forth is a hassle. Besides, you have to travel tomorrow, so you should get some rest.”
Fu Chen said nothing but walked right up to Luo Jianghe. He stood close, and looking down at him, he gave off a powerful sense of pressure.
“What is it?” For some reason, Luo Jianghe felt a pang of guilt. He had not done anything wrong, yet he could not help but want to step back. He thought to himself: Is everyone in this novel sick? Why do they always love getting close and pinning people into corners?
Perhaps having gained experience from Fu Chen’s previous antics, Luo Jianghe decided he would not let Fu Chen have his way this time. Just as he raised his eyes to stare back, a pair of hands, nearly as large as his entire face, cupped his cheeks.
