Deliberate Possession [Entertainment Industry] - Chapter 95
Chapter 95: Can’t Waste
Jing Xiaoyan looked like she had just been pulled out of the water, drenched in sweat. Jiang Yumian guiltily tightened her embrace, beginning to wonder if she had been too much today.
Entering the bathroom, just as she was about to put her down, the person in her arms suddenly pointed a finger.
Jiang Yumian was momentarily stunned. She followed the direction she was pointing. It was the bathtub in the partition. Her bathroom was quite spacious and had a built-in bathtub.
“Do you want to take a bath?” Jiang Yumian walked her in, feeling a bit guilty. “But it will take a while to run the water. Can we do it tomorrow?”
Jing Xiaoyan turned her head, looking at her expressionlessly. She reached out and pulled open the glass sliding door, not wanting to say another word.
Jiang Yumian was stunned, looking at the full bathtub. Her bathtub was a smart, constant-temperature massage tub, so even if the water had been run earlier, it was definitely hot.
It was just that…
She looked down at the person in her arms. It seemed this person had prepared it for herself earlier…
She really didn’t neglect herself at all, very thoughtful.
Jiang Yumian subtly curved her lips into a smile. She stepped up the platform, and just as she was about to carry Jing Xiaoyan down, the person in her arms suddenly struggled and got down herself.
Jing Xiaoyan stepped onto the floor, looking at the clear water. She squatted down and slowly dipped her feet in. She had seen Jiang Yumian’s posture just now, as if she was going to jump straight in with her in her arms. How scary.
Thinking that she was angry because she wouldn’t let her hug her, Jiang Yumian cleared her throat, and was about to say something when Jing Xiaoyan, who had been silent, spoke.
“I want water.” Her voice was a little hoarse, low, and very soft, sounding pitiful.
Looking down at her red-rimmed eyes, Jiang Yumian’s heart softened. She squatted down and instinctively coaxed her gently, “Okay, I’ll go pour you some water right now. I’ll be right back.”
Jiang Yumian quickly brought back a cup of warm water, and thoughtfully included a straw for her.
Putting the cup down, Jiang Yumian sat on the floor, cautiously extending her foot into the tub. Seeing Jing Xiaoyan focused on drinking water while resting on the edge of the tub, ignoring her, she took the opportunity to slide into the tub.
Jing Xiaoyan didn’t even look at her. She hadn’t intended to stop her from coming in. She was genuinely thirsty, but she only took two sips, just enough to moisten her throat.
Jiang Yumian adjusted to the water temperature, then quickly hugged her from behind. Jing Xiaoyan rested weakly on the edge of the tub. When she was hugged from behind, she paused and slightly turned, looking at her sideways.
Seeing the redness around her eyes and her red nose from crying, Jiang Yumian instinctively leaned in, pressing her forehead against hers, rubbing their faces together. Hugging her, she asked softly, “Why did you cry?”
She looked so pitiful.
Jing Xiaoyan rubbed against her arms, lightly mhm-ing, feeling utterly wronged.
Jiang Yumian held her, kissing her face tenderly and slowly, trying to soothe Jing Xiaoyan’s emotions.
After letting her kiss her, Jing Xiaoyan returned to resting on the edge of the tub, her face resting on her arm, feeling weak.
Jiang Yumian pressed against her back, asking softly, “Are you tired?”
“I want to eat fruit…” Jing Xiaoyan suddenly answered, her voice still small and weak.
Although a bit confused, Jiang Yumian quickly nodded. “What kind of fruit do you want to eat? I’ll go downstairs and get it.”
Jing Xiaoyan’s red lips parted: “Mango…”
Jiang Yumian lightly squeezed her hand, leaning in to ask, “Ah… are you deliberately making things difficult for me?”
She might have other fruits at home, but not mango, since she was allergic.
Jing Xiaoyan shrank into the water, dodging Jiang Yumian’s hand that was holding her chest, and ignored her.
Jiang Yumian held her in the water for a while. Seeing her silent, she figured she hadn’t recovered yet.
“I’ll go downstairs and see what fruits we have. You soak and relax.”
She released Jing Xiaoyan and got out of the water.
Jing Xiaoyan nibbled on the straw, slowly drinking the water, her eyes fixed on Jiang Yumian as she walked out.
Jiang Yumian casually dried herself and put on a bathrobe. She turned back to look at Jing Xiaoyan, blinking. “I’m leaving?”
Jing Xiaoyan was stunned. She released the straw she was biting, slowly turned her head, and didn’t look at her.
Jiang Yumian raised an eyebrow, her lips curving slightly. She dared not smile too obviously, thinking how precious Jing Xiaoyan was right now. She wanted to rub her face.
But she didn’t dare to rush over and rub her. If she did, it would be hard to coax her later.
“You use the massage feature. Don’t fall asleep. I’ll be right back.”
Even though Jing Xiaoyan ignored her, she still had to remind her.
Jiang Yumian quietly walked downstairs. It was very quiet outside. She didn’t know what time it was. There were motion sensor lights near the stairs, so it wasn’t too dark.
She just walked into the living room, wandered around for a bit, grabbed two oranges and a few sugar tangerines from the coffee table, thought about it, and went to the kitchen.
She found a plate for the fruit. She found a bunch of grapes in the refrigerator, got a new plate and cut two dragon fruits, and then poured a cup of milk and put it in the microwave.
While the milk was warming, Jiang Yumian took out the cantaloupe from the fridge and sliced it. She cut it in half, turned to get a spoon, and scooped out the seeds.
“Oh!” Startled by the sudden appearance of someone at the door, Jiang Yumian let out a soft breath. “Mom, you scared me to death!”
Her mother leaned against the door, amused to see her busy in the kitchen. “Why are you fighting in the kitchen at twelve in the morning instead of sleeping?”
Jiang Yumian’s eyes widened slightly. “It’s twelve already!?”
Her mother blinked. “Mhm. You didn’t know?”
Twelve? Was that strange?
Jiang Yumian licked her lips, looking down and scraping the cantaloupe with the spoon. She thought to herself, she had good stamina. No wonder Jing Xiaoyan cried. She had to go back and properly coax her.
While she was thinking, the cantaloupe in her hand was suddenly taken away.
Her mother took it, cutting it for her while asking, “You’re up cutting fruit now, and so much of it. Is Xiaoyan awake too?”
It looked like a lot. Two people might not be able to finish it.
Jiang Yumian took the grapes and washed them one by one. “I suddenly wanted to eat fruit. She’s already asleep.”
Speaking of sleeping, she had to hurry and wash the fruit. She was really afraid Jing Xiaoyan would fall asleep just like that.
Her mother raised an eyebrow and smiled, finding it amusing that she was already starting to maintain her in-law relationship.
Although she felt her mother was overthinking it, she didn’t expose her. She played along with her mother’s words. “She’s already asleep. Let’s not bother her. I’ll eat it myself.”
Her mother chuckled, helped her slice the cantaloupe and put it on a plate, stuck a few toothpicks in it, and even cut the oranges for her.
Jiang Yumian finished washing the grapes and took out the milk.
“Can you carry all that? Do you want me to help you with some?” Her mother assessed the fruit she prepared, looking at her with a knowing smile.
Jiang Yumian blinked, a plate of oranges, a plate of cantaloupe, a plate of dragon fruit, plus grapes, and a cup of milk… Mhm…
She coughed awkwardly. “No need. I’ll take it in two trips.”
Her mother stifled a laugh and handed her a tray. Jiang Yumian finally realized, and she placed the plates one by one onto it.
As Jiang Yumian was about to leave, her mother, who had been holding back, suddenly said, “Young people are so energetic, huh? Go to sleep soon~”
The teasing in her tone was unmistakable.
Jiang Yumian was so startled she bit her tongue. She turned her head and saw her mother laughing at her. Her face flushed. “Wha-what are you thinking? You’re up late not sleeping. Are you playing games again?”
At this, Jiang Yumian quickly reacted. She frowned. “Mom! You’re staying up late playing games again!”
Her mother spread her hands. “It’s the weekend. What’s wrong with me playing games?”
Jiang Yumian opened her mouth. “Playing during the day is enough. Go to sleep quickly.”
Her mother twitched her lips. “I was going to sleep, but I suddenly noticed someone sneaking around in the kitchen, so I came to check if a thief had broken in.”
Jiang Yumian was speechless. “I was openly looking for food.”
Her mother looked her up and down. “Twelve in the morning, just finished showering, looking for food. Are you tired and hungry?”
“I finished showering a while ago. I just haven’t changed into my pajamas yet.” Jiang Yumian explained guiltily, then quickly changed the subject to counter her. “Aren’t you going to sleep?”
Her mother turned off the kitchen light, walking ahead of Jiang Yumian, and left a quiet remark. “Mhm. I’m going to sleep. Remember to dry your hair.”
Jiang Yumian stood rooted, looking at her mother. She had forgotten that the ends of her hair were still wet. Being pointed out by her mother made her feel a little mortified.
She took a breath, thinking she had been downstairs for a while. She had to hurry back. She quickly carried the tray and followed her upstairs.
Her eyes fixed on her mother’s back. “Mom, ask the housekeeper to buy some mangoes tomorrow, please.”
Her mother’s footsteps on the stairs paused. She turned back to look at her, asking directly, “Are you tired of living?”
Jiang Yumian looked down at the fruit on the tray and no longer concealed it, muttering softly, “My wife loves to eat it…”
Her mother folded her arms, watching her run back to her room shyly, and couldn’t help but smile.
After feeling embarrassed, Jiang Yumian started complaining internally. She just showered and went down to cut fruit, and her mother immediately thought of that. Seriously, what was going on in her mind? It wasn’t until she entered the bathroom and saw the red marks below her neck that her whole body froze.
She had just… been like that?
She was like that in front of her mother?
Huh?
Ah!
Jiang Yumian closed her eyes, her head buzzing.
She took a deep breath, comforting herself that it was all over, and then walked into the bathroom.
Jing Xiaoyan leaned on her arm, with a towel underneath. She closed her eyes comfortably. She only slowly opened her eyes when Jiang Yumian entered, and then closed them again, thinking she had been gone for a long time.
The tray was placed in front of her. Jiang Yumian took off her bathrobe again and got into the water to join her.
Jiang Yumian leaned close to her and asked, “Fell asleep?”
Jing Xiaoyan ignored her, staring blankly at the pile of fruit. So much?
She reached out, picked a grape, and put it in her mouth, feeling a bit speechless. Did she take out all the fruit in the fridge for her?
Seeing that she wasn’t asleep, Jiang Yumian hugged her and leaned in, wrapping around her to make her turn and look at her.
Jing Xiaoyan was hugged and turned around. Her mouth was quickly sealed with a shallow kiss for a short while before Jiang Yumian let go.
“Who said the word ‘cute’ had nothing to do with you?” Jiang Yumian leaned against her. Jing Xiaoyan had been soaking in the water for a while. Her face was so tender it looked like water could be squeezed out. She deliberately rubbed against her, smiling. “It suits you perfectly.”
Jing Xiaoyan had been in the bathroom by herself for a while, and her mood had long stabilized. Hearing Jiang Yumian deliberately tease her, she turned her head and bit her ear.
Jiang Yumian retracted her neck, her hand gripping Jing Xiaoyan’s waist, and deliberately said, “I want more.”
Jing Xiaoyan’s body stiffened, her eyes slightly darkened. She moved back a bit from Jiang Yumian’s embrace, facing her. Her hand landed directly on Jiang Yumian’s body, displacing the water, and her fingertips pressed in.
Jiang Yumian rested both hands on her shoulders.
Their eyes met. Jing Xiaoyan’s gaze was provocative. Her fingertips lightly pressed, pushing in a little more.
Jiang Yumian hissed softly. Her head rested against the side of Jing Xiaoyan’s face, her body leaning against her.
Jing Xiaoyan withdrew her hand and softly scoffed.
“It’s inconvenient in the water, so I’ll let you off for now.”
She turned around and started eating the fruit, no longer paying attention to Jiang Yumian.
“Should we go soak in a hot spring sometime?” Jiang Yumian shamelessly leaned in, lowered her head, and accepted the cantaloupe from Jing Xiaoyan’s toothpick.
Jing Xiaoyan turned to look at her, a little speechless. She said directly, “Did you seriously read the program schedule?”
Hearing her question, Jiang Yumian was a little confused. Did the program have a schedule? Didn’t they just get notified when they arrived?
Seeing her completely clueless expression, Jing Xiaoyan twitched her lips. “This time the program is at a hot spring resort. You don’t need to look for an opportunity. You can soak when you get there.”
Jiang Yumian slowly blinked. “How did you know?”
Jing Xiaoyan didn’t drink the milk. She picked up the water and took a sip. “By reading the group chat.”
Jiang Yumian looked at the milk she had specially warmed, then at the water. She forcefully swapped the cup in Jing Xiaoyan’s hand.
Holding the cup of milk, which was warm in her hand, Jing Xiaoyan blinked, but two seconds later, she put it aside. “I’m not drinking it.”
Jiang Yumian held the cup in her hand, looking at Jing Xiaoyan. Jing Xiaoyan also looked at her. They stared at each other for a while, at a deadlock.
“We can’t waste it.” Jiang Yumian handed the milk back to her.
Jing Xiaoyan glanced at it with disgust. “You drink it yourself.”
She didn’t really like milk.
With that, she tried to get up. She had soaked enough. Time to sleep.
Jiang Yumian grabbed her, lowered her head, glanced at her own chest, and in Jing Xiaoyan’s gaze, poured the milk onto herself, starting from her neck.
She forcefully pulled Jing Xiaoyan closer, and asked again, “Are you going to drink it?”
Jing Xiaoyan lowered her gaze, staring blankly at the milk gradually diffusing in the water. Her eyes slowly moved up, landing on Jiang Yumian’s collarbone. Her long eyelashes trembled. She quickly lowered her head and licked the remaining milk, then moved her lips further down.
Jiang Yumian put the empty cup aside, pinned by Jing Xiaoyan’s kiss.
The air between their lips and teeth was filled with a rich milky scent. Jing Xiaoyan got up, looking down at the water. She splashed the water with her hand, then put her arm on Jiang Yumian’s shoulder, pushing her into the water.
“You’re the one who’s wasteful.”
With that, she got out of the water. Her legs were still a bit weak. She adjusted, and the water droplets on her body made her feel a little cold.
She walked to the outside, turned on the shower, and stood under it to rinse off. Jiang Yumian also came out, showering with her.
Jiang Yumian looked at her with a smile, pulled her hand, and placed it on her chest. “Are you happy now?”
The water hit their bodies. Jing Xiaoyan stared at her hand, tightening her fingers, and letting out a slight, somewhat proud grunt, which counted as forgiving her for her excessive behavior today.
But the soft grunt was muffled by the pattering water, and Jiang Yumian didn’t hear it.
After drying their hair and returning to the room, Jiang Yumian pulled her to lie down, proactively hugging her, pinning Jing Xiaoyan to her chest, and offering herself to her mouth.
Jing Xiaoyan had just opened her mouth to say something, but was quickly sealed. Her head was also held in place. She blinked, a little bewildered, then quickly closed her eyes silently.
Jiang Yumian sighed softly, working hard to coax her. She only hoped that Jing Xiaoyan would be merciful when she retaliated next time. Thinking of this, she pressed her hand down a little harder, signaling her to do as she pleased.
Before long, Jing Xiaoyan struggled a bit, hesitated for a long time, and finally avoided Jiang Yumian’s hand, emerging from her embrace. She gasped for air, complaining crossly, “Are you trying to suffocate me?”
Jiang Yumian was a little embarrassed: “…”
Pressed so tightly, it would be great if she got suffocated by her chest…
Jing Xiaoyan buried her head again. “I’ll do it myself.”
At half-past eleven in the morning, Jing Xiaoyan and Jiang Yumian finally emerged from the room.
They had woken up early, but only decided to go out when it was almost time for lunch, because Jiang Yumian only told her yesterday that she ran into her mother last night as Jing Xiaoyan was about to leave the room.
Jing Xiaoyan was embarrassed. If it weren’t for lunch, she wouldn’t have planned to go downstairs.
Jiang Xiaoyan, having been disciplined by her mother, didn’t bother them first thing in the morning. Only when it saw them going downstairs did it excitedly run up to them.
Hearing the familiar bell sound, Jing Xiaoyan’s heart tightened, and her eyelids twitched.
Jiang Yumian’s eyes widened. She looked at Jing Xiaoyan with panic.
While they were stunned, Jiang Xiaoyan had already run over. The golden bell around its neck made it look very energetic.
Jing Xiaoyan gritted her teeth, her face darkening. She slapped away Jiang Yumian’s hand and turned to walk back into the room.
The door slammed shut with a “bang.”
Jiang Yumian’s heart shook with the door. She bit her tongue, looking down at Jiang Xiaoyan. Why did she choose that collar for it yesterday!
Her mother, hearing Jiang Xiaoyan’s movement, quickly walked over. She stood at the bottom of the stairs, a little confused, not knowing what had happened. “Oh, where’s your wife? Didn’t she come down with you?”
Could it be that she couldn’t get out of bed?
Jiang Yumian took a deep breath, pulling Jiang Xiaoyan away. “Mom, can you change its collar? This one is ugly and noisy.”
Her mother looked down. “It is ugly, but didn’t you buy it yourself?”
“Never mind. I’ll go change it. You call Xiaoyan down for lunch. Mhm… If she can’t come down, you can take it up to her.”
Jiang Yumian twitched her lips. “It’s not that bad…”
“I’ll go call her.”
With that, she turned and walked upstairs, outwardly calm but internally panicked.
Jiang Yumian hesitated at the door for a few seconds, pressed the doorknob, but it didn’t open. Jing Xiaoyan had locked it…
Jiang Yumian looked miserable. She reached out and knocked on the door, calling out nervously, “Older Sister?”
She waited for two seconds, but the person inside completely ignored her. There was no sound at all.
Jiang Yumian was on the verge of tears. It was all Jiang Xiaoyan’s fault. All her coaxing last night was for nothing.
