Daily Life of a Married Beta Heartthrob - Chapter 2
The sky gradually darkened, the last vestiges of twilight swallowed by the night as darkness descended silently.
Zhao Jinyuan stood by the window, watching the neon lights flicker to life outside. She glanced left and right, then quickly pulled the curtains shut, blocking out the night view.
The room fell silent in an instant. Zhao Jinyuan pressed a hand to her racing heart and walked to the edge of the bed, where she sat down slowly with her legs pressed together.
She was so nervous. She was about to be naked with Gu Ying.
Everything that was usually hidden under Gu Ying’s clothes, she would see tonight.
What would it look like?
Thoughts that were somewhat inappropriate filled Zhao Jinyuan’s mind. She sat on the bed, her face flushed as she stared at the closed bathroom door, her toes curling involuntarily.
So shy…
Suddenly, the bathroom doorknob turned gently. Zhao Jinyuan was startled and threw herself onto the bed, turning her back to the bathroom door.
After making that move, she immediately felt a wave of regret. Why did she do that?
Gu Ying walked out of the bathroom wrapped in a bath towel, her eyes falling upon the graceful curves of Zhao Jinyuan’s back.
Usually, Zhao Jinyuan wore ordinary, loose pajamas, but tonight she had put on a thin, spaghetti-strap mini dress.
A glimmer of deep thought flickered in Gu Ying’s dark eyes. She approached the side of the bed, leaned over, and said in a calm voice, “Are you asleep?”
Zhao Jinyuan bit her lower lip, stammering, “No.” She smelled a faint, clean fragrance, the scent tinged with warmth. She had always known this scent was Gu Ying’s unique aroma, not pheromones.
It smelled so good.
Gu Ying placed a hand on Zhao Jinyuan’s waist, and the moment they made contact, she could clearly feel the body beneath her palm tense up.
“Zhao Jinyuan, are you ready?”
As soon as Zhao Jinyuan heard this, she slowly turned to face Gu Ying. The moment she saw her, everything she had intended to say became stuck in her throat.
Zhao Jinyuan suddenly raised both hands to cover her eyes, her voice trembling, “Why, why aren’t you wearing any clothes!” She had seen everything, small, round, and pink.
Is this what an omega’s chest looks like? So cute…
Gu Ying’s eyelids drooped halfway, her cold, detached demeanor forming a sharp contrast with Zhao Jinyuan’s unbridled emotions. “Zhao Jinyuan, we are going to make love, we don’t need to wear clothes.”
Gu Ying’s words left Zhao Jinyuan’s mind spinning. That’s right, they were going to do that tonight, it was fine to not wear clothes.
Thinking this, Zhao Jinyuan silently parted her fingers, took a peek at Gu Ying’s expressionless face through the gaps, and then looked down.
“Zhao Jinyuan.”
Hearing Gu Ying call her name again, Zhao Jinyuan took her hands away, exposing her entire face to Gu Ying’s gaze.
“Gu Ying, I’m so shy.” Zhao Jinyuan didn’t even need to say it; her expression and eyes completely betrayed her emotions at that moment.
Her shifty eyes, slightly furrowed brows, and cheeks stained with a crimson flush.
Every detail spoke of Zhao Jinyuan’s shyness.
Gu Ying reached out and pinched Zhao Jinyuan’s chin, her fingertips cool. Her gaze was locked on those eyes with fluttering lashes, intense and still. She deliberately softened her voice, whispering close to Zhao Jinyuan’s ear, “Don’t be nervous, okay?”
Gu Ying was rarely this gentle. Zhao Jinyuan pursed her lips, her heart feeling as if it might jump out of her chest at any moment. She didn’t dare to meet Gu Ying’s eyes.
Zhao Jinyuan fluttered her long lashes and nodded gently. “Um, I, I’m not that nervous anymore.”
“Gu Ying, let’s begin.” As she spoke, Zhao Jinyuan reached up to press against the back of Gu Ying’s neck and began to knead it.
An omega’s gland swells during arousal, releasing pheromones.
Although she wasn’t an alpha and couldn’t complete a marking, she could make an omega happy by kneading or biting the gland.
And once the omega’s body was completely relaxed, she could proceed to the final step.
She had learned this from reading before showering, a bit of last-minute cramming, but this was all she could do.
Zhao Jinyuan’s hand remained on the back of Gu Ying’s neck as she asked in a soft voice, “Gu Ying, does this feel good?” Zhao Jinyuan’s voice had a distinct quality, sweet and clear. When she softened her tone, it sounded like honey.
Gu Ying gripped Zhao Jinyuan’s wrist, pulling that hand away from her neck. “I don’t need that. I just need you to lie still.”
Zhao Jinyuan blinked, another image popping into her head. Her lying down, and Gu Ying sitting on her, or her face.
This… it seemed very fitting for Gu Ying’s personality.
It was so embarrassing!
She didn’t dare to continue thinking about it. No, she couldn’t, she had promised her wife tonight, she had to finish this.
Suddenly, a cold touch came to her thigh. Zhao Jinyuan returned to reality, only Gu Ying’s hands were this cold.
Was she going to take off her clothes?
But she was wearing a dress today, so she didn’t have to take it off.
Thinking this, Zhao Jinyuan shyly pulled her hem up to her chest, looked up at Gu Ying, and said, “It can be like this.”
Gu Ying’s eyes flickered, but she said nothing, moving her body to the space between Zhao Jinyuan’s legs.
Zhao Jinyuan’s gaze followed Gu Ying’s movements.
Seeing Gu Ying staring at that place, she felt the urge to press her legs together.
So strange…
Zhao Jinyuan couldn’t help but raise her hand to cover her eyes. “Gu Ying, really, you just want me to lie here without moving?”
Gu Ying let out an “mm,” leaning in to sniff, smelling only the shower gel.
Gu Ying’s breath was just as cold as her fingertips.
Zhao Jinyuan shuddered all over, suddenly tightening her legs.
“Gu, Gu Ying… I washed up properly.” Every word Zhao Jinyuan spoke was trembling, as if she were at a loss to the extreme.
Gu Ying patted Zhao Jinyuan’s waist, her voice so flat no emotion could be detected. “Let go.”
Zhao Jinyuan clenched her fists, subconsciously relaxing her legs.
But the next moment, something even more overwhelming than a breath drew near.
Zhao Jinyuan suppressed a scream, only letting out a soft hum.
She pressed her clenched hands to her lips, biting them as if she were overcome with shyness.
Is this how it is for a beta and an omega?
Zhao Jinyuan felt it was a bit strange.
But soon, she couldn’t think about it anymore.
Zhao Jinyuan didn’t know why time passed so slowly, Gu Ying had been using her mouth so intensely.
She was a little scared…
After who knows how long, Gu Ying finally pulled away.
Zhao Jinyuan propped up her upper body and looked down, her cheeks and the tips of her ears flushed with a peach-colored glow.
Since before, she had felt that something was wrong.
Zhao Jinyuan reached out her hands to touch herself. She stared at Gu Ying, her voice trembling. “Gu Ying, I’m getting wet, it’s so strange, I don’t want to do this anymore.”
Gu Ying narrowed her long, phoenix eyes, her expression shifting for the first time. She frowned and moved Zhao Jinyuan’s hands away. “We haven’t reached the last step yet.”
Gu Ying seemed a bit angry. Zhao Jinyuan lowered her eyes, her toes curling, and she finally understood that Gu Ying wanted to be the active one.
In her understanding, the omega was always the receiving party, so she had never thought about it from other angles.
“Gu Ying… I…” Zhao Jinyuan said, while secretly checking Gu Ying’s expression.
Gu Ying’s brows were slightly furrowed, and she only felt that Gu Ying was angry.
Zhao Jinyuan lowered her eyes and sniffed softly, taking the initiative to open herself up, saying in a low voice, “I’m ready.”
Gu Ying let out an “mm,” her tone unreadable.
Zhao Jinyuan wanted to say something more, but Gu Ying had already entered.
Blinking her eyes, Zhao Jinyuan stiffly lifted her gaze to look at Gu Ying’s cold face.
It didn’t hurt too much, but she was so scared.
Tears welled up in Zhao Jinyuan’s eyes, and she whispered, “Gu Ying, I don’t want to do this anymore.”
Gu Ying’s gaze darkened, and she began to move slowly.
Only through such intimacy could she harvest more yinyuan.
And Zhao Jinyuan’s own desire made the yinyuan even purer.
Human vital energy is collectively called yangyuan, while the vital energy of someone with a “Heavenly Yin” constitution is yinyuan, which can repair one’s soul.
She had waited too long for this moment, and she needed Zhao Jinyuan to repair her broken spirit.
The yinyuan seeped into her meridians along with her fingers. A thin flush appeared on Gu Ying’s cold-white face; it was really working.
Zhao Jinyuan bit her lower lip, her lashes fluttering, and tears rolled down her cheeks one by one. “Gu Ying, I don’t want to!”
Seeing that Gu Ying ignored her and just kept going, Zhao Jinyuan’s anger flared up. She raised a hand and slapped Gu Ying across the face.
“I said! I don’t want to do this anymore!”
The crisp sound of the slap echoed in the small bedroom.
Gu Ying slowly withdrew her hand, lifting her eyelids, her cold, sharp gaze piercing straight into Zhao Jinyuan. “Zhao Jinyuan, have you lost your mind?”
Zhao Jinyuan pulled her legs together, curled into a ball on the bed, and began to cry bitterly. “I told you I didn’t want to do it.”
“You didn’t listen to me.”
“It doesn’t feel good at all, it hurts so much, I feel like my stomach is going to break.”
“I’m so sad.”
Zhao Jinyuan cried until she was gasping for air, her body shaking, looking incredibly pitiful.
Gu Ying rubbed the bridge of her nose. In a thousand years of life, she had never encountered a human with such a strange personality as Zhao Jinyuan.
“Zhao Jinyuan, I apologize.”
“It was my fault.”
Zhao Jinyuan sobbed twice and stopped crying.
Gu Ying didn’t speak again. She got out of bed, took some clothes from the wardrobe, put them on, and lay back down quietly.
Zhao Jinyuan could hear the movement behind her. Once Gu Ying lay down beside her, she fidgeted and turned around, saying in a hoarse voice, “Gu Ying…”
Zhao Jinyuan didn’t get an answer. She tried again, “I’m sorry, I threw a tantrum again.”
“And I hit you.”
Gu Ying still didn’t speak.
Zhao Jinyuan reached out to gently wrap her arms around Gu Ying’s waist, her fingertips tightening slightly as she cautiously leaned in, pressing her hot cheek tightly against Gu Ying’s cool back. Her voice was low, hoarse, and filled with a sense of grievance, “I’m sorry, I ruined tonight, but you wouldn’t listen to me.”
Gu Ying lay with her back to her, her body completely still, without even the slightest heave in her breathing, only coldly uttering three words in a tone as frigid as icy water: “Go to sleep.”
Zhao Jinyuan’s nose tingled. She rubbed softly against Gu Ying’s back again, pulling her arms tighter, with a sense of appeasement and promise, “Next time I will be ready, I won’t do this again.” How could she hit Gu Ying? She wasn’t a good partner at all.
Although Gu Ying was as tall as a strong alpha, she was still an omega.
An omega’s physical constitution was naturally very delicate, and Gu Ying was the same.
She was thin, and her skin was always a bloodless pale, always showing a lingering sense of illness.
Gu Ying: “Mm.” With that, she slowly closed her eyes. She didn’t want to waste any more words on irrelevant matters.
Knowing that Gu Ying didn’t want to talk to her anymore, Zhao Jinyuan dully shut her mouth and quieted down.
The next day, when Zhao Jinyuan woke up, she found that Gu Ying had already left.
The two children were also not at home.
The small, usually lively house felt incredibly silent at this moment.
Zhao Jinyuan felt heartbroken. She called Gu Ying, but Gu Ying didn’t answer.
Was she going to divorce her?
This thought lingered in her mind. Zhao Jinyuan, eyes red, told Fang Bai about what happened last night.
After listening, Fang Bai slapped her own forehead, nearly fainting.
“You mean you slapped Gu Ying in the face?! Are you crazy? She’s an omega!” Fang Bai’s shock was overflowing. She truly didn’t understand. Zhao Jinyuan clearly loved Gu Ying so much, and yesterday she was still happily preparing a gift for their one-month wedding anniversary.
Zhao Jinyuan pursed her lips, her delicate brows full of worry. “I said twice that I didn’t want to do it, but she kept going, so I got very angry.”
“Fang Bai, you know I’m always easy to get anxious.”
“She and the kids weren’t here this morning. Is she leaving me?”
“If she doesn’t want me, I understand. Gu Ying is such an excellent omega, married to a plain beta like me, and I even hit her less than a month in, I—”
Fang Bai yelled: “Stop! Your face is already invincible, don’t keep calling yourself plain.”
Zhao Jinyuan didn’t take Fang Bai’s words to heart. In her eyes, everyone was the same. Perhaps she really was good-looking, but how good-looking could a beta be?
Fang Bai was just too doting on her.
When she was in school, no one confessed to her. People didn’t even dare to look at her. Sigh, sometimes she suspected it was because she was too ugly.
Zhao Jinyuan looked down and opened her lunch box. “Gu Ying didn’t even wait for me today.”
“Fang Bai, what should I do? She must be furious.”
Fang Bai sighed and stopped dwelling on her friend hitting someone, waving her hand. “Just cry more, act spoiled more, maybe she’ll forgive you.” In truth, she understood Gu Ying. Zhao Jinyuan looked like this, and even though they were married, she wouldn’t let her “eat.” How frustrating must that be?
Back in school, because she was always glued to Zhao Jinyuan, everyone thought they were a couple. Thanks to her blocking all those advances for Zhao Jinyuan, otherwise, this person would have been “eaten clean” long ago.
Zhao Jinyuan had a very standard pair of phoenix eyes. The corners of her eyes curved upward gently, but not aggressively; instead, they were soft, like petals soaked in warm water. Her pupils were dark, bright, and clean. When she looked at people, she was quiet and docile, and when she smiled, the corners of her eyes curved into a shallow arc, bringing with it a classical, soft, and amorous charm, lingering and gentle.
Her skin was a cold-toned white, delicate and radiant, making her naturally full and rosy lips stand out. Her nose was delicate, her face shape was smooth, with not a trace of aggression. Her silhouette carried that classical, gentle, and virtuous quality of an old photograph, yet her aura was fresh and clean—sweet, like a clear spring.
Fang Bai remembered the first time she saw Zhao Jinyuan when they were kids. At that time, Zhao Jinyuan was holding her hand and gave her a punch without mercy.
She was very angry, but any amount of temper melted away after seeing Zhao Jinyuan’s face, which was chubby with baby fat and crying like a little kitten.
Later, she and Zhao Jinyuan inexplicably became best friends.
“Fang Bai, come up with a solution for me.”
Fang Bai regained her focus, looked at the dejected Zhao Jinyuan, and patted her shoulder. “Listen to your sister, cry more, act spoiled more.” Whether it was an omega, beta, or alpha, she didn’t believe there was anyone in this world who could resist Zhao Jinyuan’s “acting spoiled” attack.
