- Chasing My Husband! The "Crown Prince" of the Beijing Circle Is Wildly Unruly!
- Chapter 90 - You’re Crazy! I Have a Boyfriend!
Lu Ming cried for over an hour after Li Kuo forced himself upon him. The bed, which had just been neatly made, was now a complete mess.
With eyes swollen from sobbing, Lu Ming pointed a trembling finger at Li Kuo. “You’re crazy! I have a boyfriend!”
Li Kuo admitted to himself that he had been too impulsive. He found Lu Ming’s WeChat and transferred one thousand yuan to him.
“I’m sorry. I’m leaving now.” Li Kuo picked up his cleaning gear and the trash, exiting the apartment without another word.
Left alone, Lu Ming lay on the bed, thumping the mattress in a fit of rage.
For the next two weeks, Chen Junsheng was so preoccupied with his investment projects that he completely ignored Lu Ming, never once stopping by. Bored and lonely, Lu Ming dug out some adult toys and was about to amuse himself when the door opened.
It was Chen Junsheng, carrying a bag of fruit. Seeing the toy in Lu Ming’s hand, his eyes darkened with lust. “Baby, are you that desperate for it? Playing with yourself already?”
Lu Ming’s cheeks flushed as he clung to him. “It’s your fault for not coming by for half a month.”
“I’m not a monk, you know,” Chen Junsheng muttered, leaning in to kiss him.
In the past, Lu Ming would have been swept up in the moment. But now, as they were intimate, Li Kuo’s image kept flashing through his mind—a Li Kuo who was several times more vigorous and powerful than Chen Junsheng. The realization that Chen Junsheng didn’t measure up made Lu Ming’s breathing erratic.
Afterward, Chen Junsheng didn’t stay the night. As he dressed, Lu Ming watched him from under the covers. “Brother Chen, aren’t you staying tonight either?”
“No. The project is at a critical stage. Once I make my comeback, things will be different.” After finishing his attire, Chen Junsheng remembered something. He pulled out his phone and opened Alipay.
“Alipay received: 100,000 yuan.”
Chen Junsheng leaned over and kissed Lu Ming’s forehead. “Go buy yourself something nice to eat.”
Lu Ming nodded dejectedly. “Okay.”
After Chen left, Lu Ming tossed and turned, unable to sleep. He felt that Chen Junsheng had changed; he didn’t seem to love him as much as before. Though he gave him money every time he visited, the feeling was suffocating. Lu Ming buried himself deep under the blankets.
The Encounter at the Bar
The next day, Lu Ming went back to campus for classes. He ran straight into Li Kuo and, panicked, immediately ducked into a crowd to avoid him. He was truly afraid of that “jinx.” He had heard that Li Kuo came from a poor background and worked several part-time jobs to get by.
After the morning lectures, a few close classmates slung their arms over his shoulders. “Lu Ming, we’ve organized a get-together tonight. You coming?”
With his good looks and soft, cute personality, Lu Ming was popular with both guys and girls. He figured that given Chen Junsheng’s recent track record, he wouldn’t be showing up tonight. “Sure, I’ll go,” he agreed.
They went to Z Bar, where the young crowd was playing drinking games with high energy. Lu Ming, naturally lively and good at acting cute, soon became the center of attention at their table. His classmates found him adorable without being effeminate.
One classmate laughed while ruffling his soft hair. “I hope I have a daughter this cute in the future.”
“Screw you! I’m a man!” Lu Ming shot back, though he wasn’t truly offended.
In the middle of the fun, Li Kuo appeared, dressed in a sharp, fitted black server’s vest. “Your drinks.”
“Whoa! Li Kuo, you work here too?” the group exclaimed. Li Kuo was a bit of a legend on campus—the “Generator” personality type. He was top of his class, swept up all the scholarships, handled student union business, and still worked multiple jobs. It was as if he never slept.
“Yeah,” Li Kuo replied, his voice deep.
Lu Ming felt like a cat whose tail had been stepped on. He lowered his head, refusing to look at him. Li Kuo’s gaze shifted toward him, and for a second, a strange spark of tension passed between them.
“What’s up, Xiao Ming? You don’t know Li Kuo?” a classmate asked, noticing his odd reaction.
“I don’t know him,” Lu Ming muttered through gritted teeth.
“He’s the department heartthrob! Remember when someone performed ‘Trouble Maker’ for him at the club?” his friend helpfuly added.
Lu Ming gave a forced laugh. “Oh. You guys chat, I need to use the restroom. Too much to drink.”
The Ugly Truth
After washing his face, Lu Ming adjusted his messy curls in the mirror. As he stepped out of the restroom, a hand grabbed his arm. It was Li Kuo, now in his regular clothes, leaning against the tiled wall.
“Li Kuo! Are you crazy?” Lu Ming hissed, trembling.
Li Kuo looked at him with a flash of pity. “Go see what your ‘sugar daddy’ is up to.”
Lu Ming’s mind exploded. Sugar daddy? What is he talking about?
Li Kuo led him to the VIP suites on the second floor. Because Li Kuo worked there, the staff didn’t stop him. They reached Room 808. Through the small circular window in the gilded door, Lu Ming saw them.
Chen Junsheng was there, pinning a young, fair-skinned boy against the seat and kissing him passionately.
Lu Ming’s world shattered. Tears fell silently as a wave of fury rushed to his head. He moved to charge into the room, but Li Kuo pulled him away.
They ended up in a small delivery van in the bar’s underground parking lot.
“I’ve worked in many places. I’ve seen you and that man together by accident more than once,” Li Kuo said. “That man… he comes here often. He actually tried to solicit me once, but when he realized we were the ‘same type,’ he let it go.”
Lu Ming sobbed, his chest heaving with the pain of a broken heart.
“But Lu Ming, you aren’t exactly clean either,” Li Kuo’s voice turned cold. “I know who he is. Chen Junsheng. He has a wife. Your own brother works at his company. You… you don’t have much of a moral compass.”
Lu Ming’s eyes snapped open. He couldn’t understand how Li Kuo knew such private details. “Are you fucking investigating me?!”
Li Kuo let out a cold laugh. “I used to be blind. I had a crush on you.”
The revelation left Lu Ming stunned.
“The reason I forced myself on you last time was because I was angry. Once I calmed down, I realized how despicable I was. I’m not some vigilante, and I have no right to interfere in your life,” Li Kuo continued. “I’m sorry, Lu Ming. I’m not ‘clean’ either. I won’t tell anyone about your business. It’s just… being gay isn’t shameful, but one should still have morals. Showing you that man’s true colors today is my way of making amends.”
Lu Ming sat there, unable to utter a word. He felt humiliated, as if his mask had been torn off. But then, a sense of profound injustice washed over him.
“I’m not his ‘mistress’ by choice… On the night of my eighteenth birthday, he… he did exactly what you did to me. He forced me.”
“Then he used my brother’s job to threaten me. We kept up this disgusting relationship, and eventually…” Lu Ming broke down completely. “I couldn’t even tell if I loved him or if it was just Stockholm Syndrome.”
“I am gay, but I’m not… I’m not…”
“I’m not a person without standards.”
Li Kuo’s face went deathly pale. He realized then the gravity of what he had done to Lu Ming.
