Can’t Trash-Talk You to Death, So I’ll Kiss You to Death - Chapter 2
Chapter 2
The person was much lighter than Huai Jian had imagined. Lying in her arms with her eyes tightly shut, the girl’s forehead was covered in a layer of sweat from the heat, and her cheeks were as crimson as a blooming flower bud in spring. For some strange reason, Huai Jian saw a macabre kind of beauty in her.
Even though her body was being controlled by drugs and could succumb to desire at any moment, she stubbornly used pain to stay conscious and keep from losing control.
Huai Jian had to admit she admired such people—so much so that she ignored the gash on her own leg and the rising heat in her own body. She took long strides, her only thought being to get Yun Duoduo to the hospital first.
Yun Duoduo, clinging to a shred of sanity and knowing she had been rescued, gripped Huai Jian’s sleeve and murmured, “Tha… thank you.”
The voice was very soft and sweet.
A ripple moved through Huai Jian’s usually calm eyes. “Mm.”
They had only gone a few steps before their path was blocked by the man who had collapsed on the floor earlier.
Huai Jian’s earlier kick had packed quite a punch; it took “Director Zhang” a long while to crawl up from the ground, a footprint still clearly visible on his face.
Director Zhang rubbed his swollen forehead. “Fuck, you actually dared to kick me!”
Huai Jian frowned, memorizing his face clearly.
Director Zhang shook his head. Hearing no reply, he assumed his intimidation had worked. He let out a cold laugh and rolled up his sleeves. “Think you’re too good for the role, huh? Playing hard to get? Fine, I’ll personally give you a lesson!”
He was cursing and ranting until he looked up and saw Huai Jian’s expression. His face froze. The sheer hostility in her eyes forced him to stumble back several steps.
Wait… why did that look so familiar?
Director Zhang rubbed his eyes in disbelief, blinking hard until he finally matched the face to a name. He asked incredulously, “Huai… Huai Jian?”
Huai Jian’s eyes were dark, and her thin lips parted slightly: “Get out of the way!”
Those four short words immediately confirmed her identity. Director Zhang then looked at the person in her arms. He recognized Yun Duoduo, so he wasn’t surprised by her presence, but when he connected Yun Duoduo with Huai Jian, he was stunned.
He was just a washed-up director hoping to exploit a no-name actress for some “adult” film content to make a quick buck in the industry. How was he supposed to know he’d attract someone like Huai Jian?
“Queen Huai… I, I didn’t know it was you. I was just asking her to film a movie, I didn’t…” He explained incoherently, slapping himself across the mouth.
However, Huai Jian ignored him, taking the elevator all the way down to the lobby.
It is always calm before the storm.
The less she spoke, the more terrified Director Zhang became. He chased after her the whole way, desperate to the point of almost kneeling and kowtowing to beg for his life.
However, he didn’t get the chance to kneel.
In the lobby, Huai Jian’s assistant, Anna, caught sight of the scene and instantly realized something was wrong. Her gaze swept up and down, landing on Huai Jian’s thigh.
A tear had appeared on the expensive suit pants, and she could faintly see the wound inside—deep, with fresh blood flowing out continuously.
With her military background, Anna charged forward in a flash and sent Director Zhang flying with a single kick.
Director Zhang screamed as his face hit the floor, blood instantly gushing from his nose. He never imagined a woman could possess such immense strength.
It was one thing for Huai Jian, but her assistant was the same.
Two kicks had nearly cost him his life.
Anna cursed, “You’re fucking asking for death! You dared to drug Huai Jian?”
Huai Jian interrupted her. “Hospital first.”
Anna asked if she was okay while pulling out her phone to call for the car. Before leaving, she didn’t forget to warn the trembling Director Zhang.
“Just wait for your end!”
Who exactly was Huai Jian?
Not only was she an exceptionally talented actress and a recognized “Film Queen” in the industry, but her family background was even more formidable—her relatives were all heavyweights in the worlds of politics and business.
No one had ever dared to offend her, let alone set a trap for her.
At this moment, only one thought filled Director Zhang’s mind: I’m finished.
He crawled out blankly. Huai Jian turned her head and gave him a cold look. Even though she said nothing, her eyes said everything.
She would not let him go.
Once in the car, Anna used a first-aid kit to briefly treat Huai Jian’s wound. It was lucky that Huai Jian had grown up in the military and her family had raised her like a boy; otherwise, any normal girl would have passed out from the pain of a wound deep enough to see bone.
After finishing, Anna stole a glance at Yun Duoduo in Huai Jian’s arms. She considered asking Huai Jian to put the girl in the seat next to her, but before she could speak, she saw Huai Jian pull the girl a little closer, as if afraid she might fall to the floor.
Anna thought to herself: Is there something going on here?
Huai Jian ignored her suggestive look. “Drive.”
“Fine, just hang in there.” Anna handed her a bottle of water, quickly hopped into the driver’s seat, started the engine, and floored the gas.
The car jolted as it started.
Yun Duoduo subconsciously hugged Huai Jian. Feeling the coolness of Huai Jian’s body, she wrapped her arms tightly around her like an octopus.
She had lost her reason by now; all she knew was that the person holding her felt wonderful, and the body she was rubbing against was soft. Perhaps sensing the other person was a woman, she became even more brazen.
One moment she was rubbing her face against Huai Jian’s abdomen, the next she was whimpering and trying to sneak a touch of her soft chest, doing whatever felt comfortable. “Mint scented…”
Huai Jian’s face flushed instantly—that was the scent of her body wash.
In the front seat, the speeding Anna choked. This was the first time she had heard someone flirt with Huai Jian so blatantly. She couldn’t help but cough.
“Uh, Huai Jian, who is this person?”
Only then did Huai Jian realize she didn’t even know the name of the girl who was currently taking liberties with her. She felt a bit frustrated, yet it also felt strangely novel. “I don’t know.”
“Huh? You don’t know her?” Anna was shocked. Her hands slipped on the wheel, nearly causing her to hit the car in front. Fortunately, her expert driving skills allowed her to swerve back in time, saving all three lives. “You’re holding her that tight and you don’t even know her? I thought…” I thought your iron heart was finally blooming.
“What?” Huai Jian frowned. She felt this wasn’t right and tried to create some distance, but Yun Duoduo clung to her tightly, stopping just short of using her teeth.
“I just want a hug, just one hug… woo.” Yun Duoduo grabbed her arm and gave it a little nip, as if retaliating for not being allowed to touch her.
Hearing those shameless words, the blush on Huai Jian’s cheeks deepened. She said in a raspy voice, “Stop messing around, or I’ll throw you out of the car.”
Though suffering, Yun Duoduo still knew how to be afraid. She restrained her restless movements, her delicate face turning bright red from the effort of holding back.
After a while, she really couldn’t hold it in anymore and whimpered, “Hmph, stingy, so stingy. Just one touch! It’s not like I’m going to do anything to you!”
Huai Jian was helpless. Finding no other way, she pulled out a small pink rabbit charm and handed it to her. “Touch this instead.”
