- Billionaire’s Journey into the Beast World, Suitors Compete to Be Fed by Her!
- Chapter 64 - Unifying the Shark Tribe
“He actually came back.”
“Oh my, wasn’t he already banished from the inner sea by the chief?”
“Yeah, how did he return?”
“Well, he is a sea beast after all. He can’t possibly live on land forever. Now he’s slinking back in disgrace.”
As soon as Xing Chi entered the Shark Tribe, the tribesmen began pointing and whispering about him.
As if long accustomed to such treatment, he continued forward expressionlessly.
“Stop right there! A lowly creature like you isn’t worthy of entering our Shark Tribe. Get lost!”
“Hurry up and leave! You don’t belong here. Just standing near you brings bad luck.”
Several young male tribesmen acted arrogantly, relying on their numbers to belittle Xing Chi, despite his blue-tier strength.
“Since your mouths are itching for a beating, don’t blame me for being ruthless.” A sinister smile curled at the corners of Xing Chi’s lips.
He had long been fed up with these people. If a fight broke out now, it would be the perfect opportunity to vent his anger.
“You’ve got some nerve!”
“This is the Shark Tribe, you think we’re afraid of you?”
Xing Chi had reached his limit and refused to listen to their nonsense any longer.
His time was limited. With the baby sharks left alone outside, he couldn’t afford to delay. He needed to take control of the Shark Tribe as quickly as possible.
Without wasting another word, Xing Chi lunged forward, seizing one of the males by the throat and delivering a brutal punch to his face.
Though seawater created resistance, as sea dwellers, they thrived in it, their attacks lost none of their force.
In fact, the ocean granted them greater agility, allowing them to unleash their full power.
The others hadn’t expected Xing Chi to strike so swiftly. They had only meant to provoke him verbally, never anticipating an actual blow.
The punch landed with searing pain, instantly igniting the male’s fury. Soon, he and Xing Chi were locked in a fierce brawl.
Claws tore into flesh, blood diffusing into the surrounding water.
Xing Chi left deep gashes across his opponent’s body, each strike lethal. The male, battered and bleeding, had no chance to recover.
“Are you just going to stand there? I’m getting beaten to death!”
The injured male roared at his companions, who snapped out of their daze and joined the fight.
They hadn’t expected Xing Chi to attack so decisively, and with such deadly intent.
None of them were a match for him. Within moments, all bore bloody wounds and fled in panic, abandoning any further resistance.
With the males gone, Xing Chi stormed deeper into the Shark Tribe.
Many tried to stop him along the way, but none succeeded.
By the time he fought his way through, no one dared to stand in his path.
“Where’s the chief? Bring him out. I challenge him.”
Xing Chi hadn’t wanted things to come to this. A tribe like this wasn’t worth returning to, as long as he could be with Mi Yue, anywhere could be home.
But now, things were different. They had children.
The baby sharks needed a healthy environment to grow, and that meant returning to the ocean.
If these people despised him, how would they ever accept his offspring?
Rather than letting the little ones live in constant fear here, it would be better for him to sweep everything aside and completely subdue these members of the Shark Tribe.
This way, the little ones could grow up in a safe and healthy environment.
The Shark Tribe chief stepped forward, eyeing Xing Chi’s fierce expression. “Xing Chi, I spared your life once. You shouldn’t have come back.”
Xing Chi was in a hurry to return to the baby sharks, so he didn’t even give the chief a chance to speak before charging forward, engaging in a life-or-death battle.
Both males shifted into their beast forms, two sharks chasing and tearing at each other in the sea.
The surrounding tribe members watched in stunned silence. They had never seen anyone dare to defy the chief’s authority before.
Blood spread through the water, most of it belonging to the Shark Tribe chief.
Gradually, the chief began to lose ground. Xing Chi clamped down on the chief’s dorsal fin and with a powerful shake, tore it clean off, the sail-like fin now severed.
Every tribesman present was shocked. No one had expected Xing Chi to emerge victorious.
When had Xing Chi’s strength grown so formidable?
“I’ve defeated the chief. By the laws of the sea, I am now the new leader of the Shark Tribe.”
Xing Chi sneered, his gaze immediately locking onto several figures hiding behind the coral, their faces filled with terror.
It was too late to hide now. If they had fled the moment he first attacked, they might have had a slim chance of survival.
Xing Chi surged forward, kicking each of them out from behind the coral one by one.
“Ow! Take it easy!”
“Xing Chi, we admit we were wrong!”
“Please spare us! We apologize for all our past mistakes!”
The tribesmen kowtowed frantically, their foreheads thudding against the ground.
“Begging for mercy now is a little too late. Do you really think a few kowtows can make up for everything you’ve done?”
Xing Chi stared coldly at the men still prostrating themselves, his eyes icy.
Memories of the bullying he and his brothers endured as children flooded his mind, filling him with the urge to tear these men apart.
But in the end, he held back.
“From now on, the lot of you are banished from the inner sea. If I ever see you again, I’ll rip you to shreds and feed you to the small fish and shrimp.”
The young males kneeling on the ground, relieved that Xing Chi wasn’t going to kill them, hastily kowtowed in gratitude.
“What are you still kneeling for? Get lost!”
The moment Xing Chi spoke, the men scrambled away, not daring to stay in his presence for a second longer.
Watching their retreating figures, Xing Chi felt nothing but disgust.
In the past, he would have torn them to pieces. But not anymore. He is a father now, with little ones to care for. Unless absolutely necessary, he would keep his hands clean, if only to accumulate some virtue for his baby sharks.
Xing Chi returned to where he had hidden the baby sharks and brought them back to the inner sea.
Now that the tribe had been cleansed, the little ones could grow up safely and happily here.
After settling the baby sharks, Xing Chi reached out to Mi Yue through their mental link.
“Yue, I’ve moved the little ones to the Shark Tribe’s territory. They’re doing well now, and their spirits have recovered.”
Hearing Xing Chi’s message, Mi Yue felt a weight lift from her heart. Knowing the baby sharks had safely reached the inner sea, one of her worries was finally put to rest.
“It’s good that you arrived safely. Thank you for your hard work, Xing Chi.” Mi Yue replied to Xing Chi via her phone.
“They are my cubs too. It’s what I should do.” Xing Chi responded, his ears turning red in a place Mi Yue couldn’t see.
“Yue, where are you now? Still in the Tiger Tribe? I’ll come pick you up right away.”
“No need to trouble yourself with the trip. Just take good care of the cubs in the Inner Sea. Xiu Ka and I will come to you, just wait for me.” Mi Yue quickly declined.
