Becoming the Yandere Omega's Fluffy Pet - Chapter 65
Chapter 65
Jian Huaijin helped introduce her to a professor from her time studying abroad, who is now the vice president of a famous private hospital in Country D.
Ming Siyu underwent a systematic re-examination. Her condition was so rare that the professor brought in other experienced doctors and experts for a joint consultation. Combining this with her history of being forced to ingest a special oxidant, it took two days to reach a largely definitive result.
The result allowed Ming Siyu to breathe a massive sigh of relief.
She could still be saved. Her initial illness was not caused by the drugs Ming Siwei had given her; she indeed suffered from a rare degenerative disorder. Left untreated, it would lead to death, but that would have been roughly twenty years later. Ming Siwei’s drugs acted as an accelerator for the condition, reducing the time from discovery to death from twenty years to seven or eight.
The domestic doctors had not lied to her about one thing: if she hadn’t discovered the problem with the water and continued as she was, coupled with consecutive emotional outbursts, it would have been difficult to survive past her twenty-eighth birthday.
And her twenty-eighth birthday was only one month away.
Additionally, there was an unexpected discovery: her so-called “Furry Hunger Syndrome” was, in reality, a complication of organ decline rather than a hunger syndrome in the true sense. The sweating, pain, and itching in her palms were caused by an imbalance in the body’s bioelectricity, which manifested most clearly in the hands. Touching fur at such times could balance the bioelectricity to a certain extent, making it very similar to Furry Hunger Syndrome. Living “furries” possess their own bioelectricity, so the relief effect was even better.
Looking at it this way, her purchase of Liu Ran was built upon a misdiagnosis. Between her and Liu Ran, from beginning to end, it was a complete and utter mistake.
Ming Siyu’s body had already reached a precarious state. The current preliminary treatment plan was to first be hospitalized to stabilize the condition, followed by surgery involving stem cell technology and organ transplantation. Risks remained, but the success rate was much higher than the “nine deaths, one life” odds the previous doctors had told her.
However, there were less-than-satisfactory aspects: the post-operative recovery time was long. The professor told her that she must set aside at least one year for convalescence and recuperation. During this period, she was not to worry about any work or life matters, keeping a completely calm mindset and relaxed mood to provide the body with the optimal state for growth. This included the pre-operative period as well.
The professor hoped she could start inpatient treatment immediately. However, Ming Siyu had come in a hurry this time, and she had had no time to handle almost any of the matters back home. She couldn’t just suddenly let go like this; she had to make some arrangements in advance.
The professor had no choice but to schedule a new time with her, arranging the best stabilization period and surgery time, and urged her to handle her affairs and return to focus on her treatment before then.
“Do you have an Alpha partner? A small amount of a partner’s pheromones can help you feel more stable and comfortable, which serves as a good auxiliary effect for the overall treatment.”
Liu Ran’s face appeared before Ming Siyu’s eyes.
Her thin lips parted slightly, her icy voice devoid of any warmth: “No.”
She had been able to avoid falling for anyone before, so naturally, she could do so now. Liu Ran betrayed her, frustrated her, broke her heart, and made her hesitate; she had no reason to love such a person again. She was going to kick Liu Ran out of her heart without mercy, sending her to hell along with Qi Zhen and Ming Siwei.
During the days Ming Siyu was away, Qi Zhen went out frequently. During one meal, Liu Ran noticed that on the decorative irregular calendar, the date of June 30th had been circled with a large red ring. She remembered that the circle hadn’t been there before.
Qi Zhen flicked the calendar and said with a smile, “The Eldest Miss’s birthday. A twenty-eighth birthday must be celebrated properly.”
“Where did she go?”
“Abroad. Business to attend to.”
“When will she be back?”
“In a few days. The Eldest Miss didn’t tell me specifically.” Qi Zhen paused and suddenly asked, “Do you know Miss Siwei’s birthday?”
Liu Ran shook her head. Why should she need to know what month and day Ming Siwei was born? Qi Zhen’s question sounded somewhat nonsensical.
Qi Zhen answered her own question: “It’s June 29th, one day earlier than the Eldest Miss.”
After cleaning up, Qi Zhen hid her backup phone in her bosom and went to the balcony to make a call. As soon as it connected, she said anxiously, “Siwei, I want to see you.”
Ming Siwei sounded somewhat impatient: “Didn’t we just meet? We can’t meet too often right now. If she finds out, everything will be for naught.”
Qi Zhen bit her lip, masking her disappointment: “You’re right. You’re more thoughtful.”
“Just wait a little longer. In another month, two months at most, everything will be settled.” Ming Siwei changed her tone, “Once I successfully become the sole heir, I will arrange for you to join the Group. You won’t have to be busy with daily chores or live by looking at other people’s faces anymore. Azhen, you are the most critical link in the plan. You must be careful and not expose yourself.”
Receiving Ming Siwei’s concern, Qi Zhen covered the phone and let out a sweet smile. “I don’t want to join the Group. I like taking care of people; I want to be able to take care of you every day. But,” she said with faint worry, “I always feel like something is wrong, as if I’m being watched every day…”
“Azhen, you’re just too nervous. Don’t be paranoid. I just confirmed with the doctor that Sister is now absolutely convinced she is about to die and is already distributing the inheritance and handling her final affairs. You know her; if she weren’t certain she was dying, she wouldn’t make preparations in advance,” Ming Siwei said sinisterly.
Qi Zhen wasn’t interested in the other plans; she just wanted to see Ming Siwei. She tried again: “Siwei, can I really not see you? She isn’t home right now.”
Ming Siwei hesitated for a moment and finally relented: “Find a time to return to the old estate. I’ll be there all day today.”
Qi Zhen carefully hid the backup phone back in her room and left the house happily. There were many people at the old estate, and the Old Madam held her for quite a while asking about Ming Siyu’s condition. Qi Zhen finally found a chance to be alone with Ming Siwei.
In front of Ming Siwei, she was always timid and fawning. she was nearly ten years older than Ming Siwei and was the daughter of a servant, while Ming Siwei was a radiant young lady—young, beautiful, and wealthy. Being loved by such a person made Qi Zhen feel as if she were in a dream. Even if Ming Siwei asked her to die, she would do so without hesitation.
Qi Zhen cautiously embraced Ming Siwei. Only when she saw that Ming Siwei didn’t reject her did she close her eyes in peace, greedily breathing in the fragrance on the other’s body.
“Siwei, how about we tell the plan to Liu Ran? She and the Eldest Miss are at odds now. We could have her join us…”
“No,” Ming Siwei cut her off sharply. “She hasn’t completely given up on Sister. If she found out about our plan, she wouldn’t be able to help telling Sister. It took me so much effort to turn them against each other… Just making Sister hate her isn’t enough; we must make her leave Sister’s side of her own accord.
That way, Sister will completely give up on the idea of giving the company to her and give the company along with the other assets to Grandmother. Once it’s given to Grandmother, and then to me, it’ll just be a matter of time.”
Qi Zhen was puzzled: “Why must you have the Eldest Miss’s company?”
In her view, the Ming Entertainment Group was enough.
Ming Siwei’s gaze drifted toward a void point in the distance: “You don’t understand. That company is Sister’s life’s work. I’d rather not have the Group just to have it.”
“Alright.” Qi Zhen never interfered with Ming Siwei’s decisions. When Ming Siwei gave her instructions, she simply followed them without thinking why. After a while, she proposed again: “Let’s just kill Liu Ran. I’ll do it. If I’m caught, it’ll be my business alone; I can go to jail.”
She was desperate to prove her worth in front of Ming Siwei.
The corner of Ming Siwei’s mouth twitched. “Killing someone is too much; it would easily arouse suspicion. I’ve already bought flight tickets for Liu Ran and her mother to go abroad next week. When the time comes, find an opportunity—find a quiet opportunity to let Liu Ran run out on her own.”
Not long after, Ming Siwei sent Qi Zhen back. Qi Zhen gazed at her longingly and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek.
As soon as Qi Zhen left, Ming Siwei’s expression instantly turned dark, the disgust in her eyes almost overflowing. She went to the bathroom and used disinfectant to frantically scrub the spot Qi Zhen had kissed. She wiped her face casually and flicked away the water droplets. Returning to her room, she opened her wardrobe; inside, dozens of old clothes Ming Siyu had worn were hung neatly.
Ming Siwei walked into the wardrobe, immersing herself among the garments, letting out a happy yet twisted smile: “Sister… I love you so much… and I hate you so much. Everything of yours, including your life, is mine…”
Ming Siyu regretted not installing a wiretap on Qi Zhen as well. She was quite curious about what Qi Zhen and Ming Siwei would say when they were alone. However, she could guess with her toes that it was nothing more than nauseating talk of love; it was just as well not to hear it.
After returning to the country, she didn’t go home immediately but went to find He Qiange. The two talked through the night, discussing countermeasures. He Qiange was so angry she wanted to take people immediately to grab Ming Siwei and the others for a beating, but Ming Siyu stopped her.
Ming Siyu was very clear-headed. Her current physical condition was not sufficient to go head-to-head with Ming Siwei. Moreover, if she simply found someone to assassinate Ming Siwei, that would be too easy for her. Since Ming Siwei was so certain she would die, she might as well “die” according to Ming Siwei’s plan, letting her gloat for a while, and then stripping away what she possessed bit by bit to make her enjoy a long period of pain and fear. Just thinking about the expression on Ming Siwei’s face when she saw her as if seeing a ghost filled Ming Siyu with fighting spirit.
She no longer had any of the despondency of waiting for death; her whole being burned intensely like a rekindled flame.
Only when He Qiange mentioned what to do with Liu Ran did Ming Siyu frown deeply. She couldn’t make a decision for the moment and simply skipped it: “We’ll talk about it last. That heartless, ungrateful wolf.”
He Qiange said regretfully, “I really shouldn’t have advised you to be good to her back then.”
Ming Siyu didn’t think so. In a way, she had to thank Liu Ran; if Liu Ran hadn’t knocked the water cup away with that slap, she wouldn’t have discovered Ming Siwei’s wolfish ambitions. If Liu Ran knew that one move of hers had exposed Ming Siwei, she would probably regret it until her heart turned green.
Over the next few days, she was busy handling business affairs, settling matters on both sides. Then she transferred part of her liquid assets to overseas fund accounts, sold part of her real estate, and gifted the rest to He Qiange, Secretary Wen, and others according to the original plan. Naturally, she also left some for Old Madam Ming. If she cleaned everything out and left nothing for the Ming family, Ming Siwei would likely become suspicious again.
Liu Ran stayed at home quietly for a few days. With no one disturbing her, she calmed down and carefully recalled the events of these days.
“You know perfectly well that I hate Ming Siwei the most! Yet you still collude with her to deal with me!” Ming Siyu’s exasperated accusation echoed in her ears.
In the situation where the two were confronting each other, she hadn’t been able to think much, simply and crudely assuming that Ming Siyu was so angry because she had discovered Ming Siwei wanted to help her escape. But looking at the few sentences of dialogue afterward, Ming Siyu didn’t seem to know about it. Moreover, even if Ming Siyu were truly talking about that, at most it could be said she and Ming Siwei “colluded”; where did “dealing with” come from? They hadn’t directly done anything detrimental to Ming Siyu.
She worried that Ming Siyu had misunderstood something and would act against Bai Yu again. But she didn’t know how to use any other reason to explain that twenty million. If she told Ming Siyu directly that the money was given by Ming Siwei for her to escape, Ming Siyu would definitely tighten security, making it even harder for her to leave. Furthermore, she still had the nano-bomb inside her body. She was afraid of being blown into human fragments.
Injecting a bomb into someone—Ming Siyu was truly as wicked as they come. Every time she wanted to be honest with Ming Siyu, she was deterred by Ming Siyu’s madness.
After not seeing her for a few days, Ming Siyu held her, kissed her, and bit her. Their pheromones intertwined frantically, yet Ming Siyu did not offer the gland at the back of her neck to Liu Ran’s lips for her to mark again.
After having played enough, Ming Siyu wiped her glistening lips while covered in sweat, saying emotionlessly: “It was nothing more than this.”
