Becoming the Yandere Omega's Fluffy Pet - Chapter 64
Chapter 64
Ming Siyu didn’t know how Ming Siwei and Qi Zhen had hooked up. She restrained herself from confronting the two immediately, restored Qi Zhen’s room to its original state, and installed a wiretapping program on that hidden phone.
Between these two, one was someone she had trusted implicitly, and the other was someone she didn’t believe had the courage to harm anyone. No matter how bad her relationship with Ming Siwei was, they were, after all, sisters related by blood; she had never imagined Ming Siwei would do something so atrocious to her.
She would rather it be Liu Ran trying to poison her to death than accept it being Ming Siwei and Qi Zhen.
Ming Siyu carefully recalled her interactions with Ming Siwei over the years. Her memories related to Ming Siwei were very blurred; she couldn’t even recall more than a few impressive incidents off the top of her head. She admitted that because she hated her aunt, and Ming Siwei was her aunt’s illegitimate daughter, she had preconceived notions when Ming Siwei first appeared, essentially equating her to her aunt and never giving her a kind look.
But for a long time afterward, she hadn’t viewed Ming Siwei as a rival for the family inheritance, but rather ignored her. She would offer a few cold, sarcastic remarks when they met and cast the person to the back of her mind when they didn’t. It wasn’t until Ming Siwei used her role in the film crew and her identity as the President’s sister to get involved in money laundering which was completely unexpected that she truly took notice of Ming Siwei for the first time. However, as time passed and Ming Siwei became honest again, she stopped taking her seriously once more.
It turned out Ming Siwei had accumulated so much resentment toward her.
After the initial shock, Ming Siyu quickly calmed down. She forced back the urge to tear Ming Siwei into eight pieces and pretended nothing had happened, first sending people to thoroughly investigate Ming Siwei’s assets and personal financial records.
Secretary Wen and the others had all left. Ming Siyu sat alone in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, sitting silently like a sculpture for a long time. Since childhood, the thing she was least willing to do was suffer a loss. Ming Siwei daring to treat her like this meant she was simply tired of living.
However, considering her current physical condition, Ming Siyu decided to first go abroad to have a thorough re-examination to clarify if she could still be saved, before choosing a specific method for revenge.
She suddenly thought of her preparation to get a re-examination in Country B as He Qiange had suggested, only to be rushed back to the country because the film’s lead actor was exposed for drug use and rape before she had the chance. Ming Siwei was involved in that movie; could that also be related to Ming Siwei?
Ming Siyu didn’t even dare to think further.
What about Liu Ran? Was Liu Ran connected to Ming Siwei?
Her gaze fell upon the two phones stacked together on the living room shelf. One was the one she had bought for Liu Ran, a “couple’s model” matching her own; the other was the one she had searched out from Liu Ran’s skirt pocket after imprisoning her. She still remembered it was raining outside when she found the backup phone; the living room was gloomy, and sadness outweighed her anger. The weight of the phone placed the fact squarely before her: Liu Ran had betrayed her long ago. At the very least, she had been disloyal for a long time.
She had attempted to open that phone several times, only to set it down again and again.
Now, she wasn’t afraid of seeing content she didn’t want to see in the phone; there couldn’t be anything more disgusting than her sister and a maid she’d known for over twenty years teaming up to poison her.
She was the one who bought Liu Ran’s phone case, specifically choosing a cute little wolf case that matched Liu Ran perfectly. Yet looking at it now, she only felt heartache and irony. She ripped the phone case off, and a piece of paper fluttered out. The paper drifted under the sofa; Ming Siyu had to bend down twice before she could pick it up.
Clear on the contents of the check, Ming Siyu was dazed for a moment, then violently crumpled the check into a ball.
She would absolutely, absolutely not let Ming Siwei off easy… and everyone who teamed up with Ming Siwei to harm her, she wouldn’t let any of them off easy…
Liu Ran was guarded by two bodyguards all the way to the hospital, like a prison guard escorting a prisoner out for air; they were only missing a pair of handcuffs on her wrists.
Putting on isolation protective gear, Liu Ran went inside to see Bai Yu up close. Bai Yu’s physical condition had visibly worsened compared to before the car accident; the ICU was a place that drained people, and Bai Yu’s cheeks had sunken in. In the Huaici Nursing Home, when things were good, a bit of color could be seen on Bai Yu’s face, but now she was completely pale. If it weren’t for the fact that she was still breathing and the EKG was still beating normally, Bai Yu looked almost no different from a dead person.
ICU visits had a time limit. Once the thirty minutes were up, Liu Ran was asked to leave by the nurse and could only watch from afar through the exterior glass window.
Liu Ran clenched her fists in resentment and helplessness. Ming Siyu hadn’t lied to her later, but she still detested Ming Siyu’s self-righteousness. If Ming Siyu hadn’t dragged Bai Yu out of the nursing home without a word of notice, how could Bai Yu be lying alone and cold in the ICU now? Just when things had finally improved, a car accident sent everything back to square one.
In the hospital, she unexpectedly ran into Ming Siwei.
Ming Siwei looked like she had something to say to her. With the two bodyguards following closely, Ming Siwei cleared her throat. “I am President Ming’s sister. I’m going to say a few words to Miss Liu. You two step back a bit. We won’t leave your sight.”
The bodyguards looked at each other and took two steps back.
“Have you decided?”
Liu Ran took a deep breath. “I’ve decided. As soon as my mother’s condition stabilizes, I’ll find a way to leave.”
Imprisonment, drugging, Bai Yu’s accident… everything made her resolve to stay away from Ming Siyu. Although it would be painful, time would eventually smooth over the wounds. Moreover, staying by Ming Siyu’s side would only bring more harm to both parties. During this period, both had been nearly drained of energy by each other.
Liu Ran had made up her mind; regardless of whether Ming Siyu would try every means to catch her back later, she had to try. Just as she was unwilling to trust Ming Siwei, Ming Siwei was currently the only person who could help her.
Ming Siwei looked significantly more relaxed. “I’m quite familiar with this hospital and will put in a word to have people help Auntie stabilize as soon as possible. Go abroad; I’ll help you contact hospitals overseas. But I heard my sister has restricted you to the house and won’t let you out?”
“Yes.” This was currently the biggest hurdle to escaping.
Ming Siwei lightly patted her shoulder, her expression somewhat strange.
“Maybe an opportunity will come very soon. I’m very grateful you could make this decision. It’s good for you, and for my sister. Sister might look for you at first, but trust me, she’ll give up before long. Then, you and Auntie can welcome true freedom.”
Ending the conversation in less than two minutes, Liu Ran continued to follow the bodyguards home. To prevent her from taking the opportunity to escape, Ming Siyu had taken full precautions.
Only Ming Siyu was at home. Liu Ran entered first, and the bodyguard closed the door behind her. Ming Siyu sat upright in her wheelchair, blocking the path between the dining room and the living room, her eyes bloodshot, staring at her with ferocity.
Liu Ran walked forward in silence, wanting to return to her room. Ming Siyu violently threw the check onto the floor and sneered: “You’re quite familiar with Ming Siwei?”
Liu Ran looked down at the check Ming Siyu had thrown down, and her expression changed drastically.
The check was crumpled and messy, clearly having been violently balled up and then smoothed out.
Ming Siyu grabbed something from the kitchen island and hurled it at her: “You know perfectly well that I hate Ming Siwei the most! Yet you still collude with her to deal with me!”
Liu Ran dodged, and the porcelain vase crashed against the wall with a clatter, shattering into a floor full of shards. Then, Ming Siyu lost control, hurlng everything she could reach at Liu Ran. Liu Ran dodged some and was hit by others. Seeing Bai Yu’s state had already made her depressed, and after being hit several times, she couldn’t take it anymore. “I didn’t collude with her to deal with you! What on earth are you talking about?”
Liu Ran’s heart was thumping, and her mind was a mess, guessing whether Ming Siyu knew about Ming Siwei helping her escape.
“You didn’t collude? Would she give you money for no reason? Bought off for twenty million—not even enough for the money I spent to buy you. Liu Ran, you really are pathetic.” Ming Siyu’s eyes were red, and she gritted her teeth in hatred: “How have I not killed you yet?”
Liu Ran picked up the check and tore it into shreds. “Then do it. It wouldn’t be the first time you’ve done it anyway.”
Liu Ran was referring to Shen Yunhe, but Ming Siyu heard it as referring to Bai Yu, and her painful, irritable emotions immediately reached a new level. She had explained so much to Liu Ran in a low voice and even let her go to the hospital to visit, yet Liu Ran turned around and still thought she was the murderer who harmed Bai Yu.
It so happened the bodyguards hadn’t left; Ming Siyu had the two of them pin Liu Ran down, forcing her to kneel before the wheelchair. The fact of Liu Ran colluding with Ming Siwei completely cancelled out the slight guilt she felt toward Liu Ran because of Bai Yu’s near-death car accident.
Her slippered foot stepped on Liu Ran’s shoulder, then across her chest, and finally gave a savage twist on her thigh. Ming Siyu only regretted that she couldn’t wear high heels right now; otherwise, she would surely stomp a hole into Liu Ran.
She no longer cared what that check Ming Siwei gave Liu Ran was for. At the moment when she hated Ming Siwei the most, Liu Ran was blatantly entangled with Ming Siwei; this fact itself crossed her bottom line.
She was riddled with holes of sorrow and desperately wanted Liu Ran to taste equal pain.
“Do you think you’re so special? You’re just a dog I bought to play with. For someone like you, I can buy a whole row with money—more obedient than you, and certainly wouldn’t mix with a piece of trash like Ming Siwei.”
“I’m tired of playing, completely tired of playing.”
As the words were spoken, Ming Siyu’s heart was also bleeding.
The bodyguards locked Liu Ran in her room and acted as cleaners to sweep up the mess on the floor. At twilight, Qi Zhen finally returned from the old estate. She didn’t yet know she had been exposed before Ming Siyu; she casually handed Ming Siyu a set of antique jewelry that Ming Siyu had used as an excuse for her to fetch from the old estate, then went to the kitchen to cook.
Ming Siyu felt physically nauseous at the sight of the food Qi Zhen brought over. She forbade Qi Zhen from bringing food to Liu Ran and prohibited Qi Zhen from speaking to Liu Ran, returning to her room to open a bag of nutrient solution to drink.
The investigation she commissioned into Ming Siwei also yielded results. Ming Siwei’s information was much more complex than Qi Zhen’s, involving many intricate conflicts of interest; it couldn’t be fully cleared up, only a part of it. However, the part that was uncovered was sufficient. Several properties under Ming Siwei’s name had been separately transferred to several major shareholders of her company.
There was also an unexpected result: Ming Siwei had invested in a medium-sized venture capital firm, and one of the enterprises invested in was the actual holder of a $5%$ equity stake in Ming Siyu’s company. This meant Ming Siwei had set her sights on Ming Siyu’s company long ago.
Inheriting the Group wasn’t enough; she wanted to swallow her company as well. Ming Siwei wasn’t afraid of choking.
The next day, under the pretext of inspecting overseas business, Ming Siyu boarded a flight abroad with Secretary Wen.
