Becoming the Comfort Alpha for the Aloof Movie Queen - Chapter 36.1
Alpha and Omega Should Keep a Proper Distance
AO should not be overly intimate.
Ming Tanqing’s eyes widened in shock.
The Alpha’s kiss had come suddenly; it looked forceful, yet the touch was infinitely gentle. Her tongue brushed meticulously against Ming’s lips; her posture was so devout it was as if she were cradling a fragile piece of art. The refreshing scent of mint continuously leaked from her glands, dominantly enveloping her Omega.
Ming Tanqing’s waist gradually grew soft, and she gripped Liang Ruojing’s hand tightly. Her head tilted slightly, but she didn’t refuse the kiss, her expression carrying a hint of helplessness and indulgence.
Liang Ruojing kissed with increasing fervor, wishing she could deliver her entire heart into Ming Tanqing’s mouth. To let her hold it. That way, she would finally know her true feelings.
The entanglement of their tongues brought forth a twelve-fold sweetness. A crackling electric current rose from the base of Ming’s spine, quickly spreading through her entire body. The high-compatibility pheromones filled her with pleasure. She even stopped thinking about the fact that they were outside, immersing herself completely in the kiss.
Fortunately, the Alpha was tall, and since Ming was wearing casual clothes, no one looking from behind could tell that Liang Ruojing was holding someone in her arms—let alone that the person was the highly scrutinized Ming Tanqing.
Liang Ruojing tightened her hold on the Omega’s back, giving one last suckle to the soft lips in her mouth. She finally let go, but her burning yet restrained kisses continued to fall on Ming Tanqing’s eyelids, cheeks, and the tip of her nose. The sound of the Omega’s hurried breathing echoed in the air for a long time.
Ming Tanqing covered her lips and glared at Liang Ruojing. Before the Omega could lash out, Liang Ruojing offered an explanation first.
“I didn’t… didn’t supplement your pheromones last night. I’m making up for it.”
Such a clumsy excuse naturally earned her another sharp look from Ming Tanqing. “Couldn’t you wait until we got back to the hotel?”
Liang Ruojing nodded in her heart. She couldn’t wait even a single second.
“I’m sorry, Sister Ming. I was wrong.”
Ming Tanqing swept a glance over her. The Alpha’s face was flushed red, her expression clearly still reminiscing.
“Forget it. Let’s go back now.”
Once again, Ming Tanqing let it slide.
Liang Ruojing deliberately lagged half a step behind, gazing at Ming Tanqing’s back. The Omega had thin skin; whenever she was even slightly moved, her whole body would turn pink—especially her earlobes and waist, which were incredibly sensitive. Right now, Ming Tanqing’s ears were so red they looked like they might bleed, flickering in and out of sight beneath her thick, long black hair.
The Alpha couldn’t help but smile. Sister Ming liked her kisses.
Following Ming Tanqing, Liang Ruojing arrived at an unfamiliar street. There wasn’t a single pedestrian; locked equipment boxes sat by the roadside, clearly indicating the street had been requisitioned by a film crew. A low-profile nanny van was parked quietly by the wide road.
Just as the two walked over, the car suddenly started. A few seconds later, a familiar figure stepped out from the passenger seat.
Qi Lin gazed playfully at Ming Tanqing’s bright red lips for a few seconds before shifting her gaze to the seemingly well-behaved Alpha behind her. She smiled and said, “Honestly, young people really don’t know how to be gentle. Look at what you’ve done to Tanqing’s lips.”
“Sister Qi!” Ming Tanqing turned back to look at the dazed Liang Ruojing standing by the road. “Get in the car. We’re going back.”
“Ah?” Liang Ruojing snapped out of it. “If I leave now, won’t the crew get suspicious?”
Ming Tanqing’s voice was cold. “If you go back with your lips looking like that, not only will the crew be more suspicious, but you can also make the top trending searches on Weibo tomorrow.”
Only later did Liang Ruojing learn that the reason they hadn’t been discovered was that Qi Lin had cleared the area for them.
Qi Lin gripped the steering wheel. “I thought you two were doing something else in there, seeing as you took so long.”
Ming Tanqing glared at her faintly. “Sister Qi, nothing happened.”
Qi Lin remained cheerful. “Yes, yes, yes, whatever you say. It was just a kiss with a young Alpha. I didn’t say anything else. Why? What did you think I meant?”
Ming Tanqing couldn’t win an argument against her manager, so she turned her head away and acted as if nothing had happened.
Liang Ruojing looked at the sulking Ming Tanqing and then at Qi Lin, her eyes filled with admiration. She could never interact with Ming Tanqing like that. As soon as Sister Ming got angry, Liang Ruojing lost all her principles.
Noticing the Alpha’s gaze, Qi Lin smiled. “Is it strange? Tanqing actually has a very cute personality; her looks are just deceptive. You have to coax an Omega, don’t you understand that?”
Liang Ruojing nodded, deeply convinced. She had learned something new.
Unfortunately, reality did not give Liang Ruojing a chance to show off her skills. Her “filter” for Ming Tanqing was just too strong. She had learned the theory, but she was still a coward in practice.
Furthermore, both of them became very busy.
Liang Ruojing had a heavy filming schedule, and working back-to-back shifts on set became the norm. Although she understood the concept of “getting into character,” she found it difficult to achieve through her own understanding in such a short time.
Fortunately, there was Ming Tanqing. Their hotel room became their rehearsal space. Liang Ruojing learned the answers to many questions she previously had no one to ask, and she realized the vast gap that existed between them.
Ming Tanqing could grasp a character perfectly after reading the script just once. She didn’t need deep research or anyone to lead her; she could enter and exit a role with ease. She became whoever she played; a single look could convey a thousand thoughts, instantly pulling people into the story she was interpreting.
The thirteen-year-old Liang Ruojing would never have imagined that one day she would watch Ming Tanqing perform at such close range. Even less could she have imagined that she would hear Ming Tanqing coldly command her:
“No sticking your tongue out.”
When Liang Ruojing was slow to respond, Ming Tanqing leaned in, pinched her thumb and index finger together, and gave the Alpha’s forehead a heavy flick. “Liang Ruojing? Are you listening?”
Liang Ruojing’s thoughts returned to the hotel living room. Outside, the sky was leaden gray, but the room was brightly lit. The Omega’s eyes were brilliant, as if a patch of stars had fallen into them.
Liang Ruojing rubbed her forehead. It didn’t hurt at all; instead, the gesture made her heart itch with restlessness. “…I understand.”
Ming Tanqing gave an elegant, soft snort, tilted her face up, and closed her eyes toward Liang Ruojing.
She really looks like a cat…
Liang Ruojing licked her dry lips. She braced her hands on the armrests of the chair and very gently pressed a kiss onto the Omega’s cheek. Then, she slowly rubbed against her lips, tasting the rich fragrance of lilies.
Ming Tanqing gradually lost her breath as her lips were licked open. The Alpha’s tongue still invaded, pressing against the tip of her tongue and lightly nibbling. Compared to the previous two passionate and rough encounters, this one was indeed much gentler. Yet, the physical reaction remained intense.
The occasional sound of “tsuk-tsuk” wet noises echoed, teasing the nerves of both women. Ming Tanqing had long reached her limit, but Liang Ruojing continued to kiss her, refusing to pull away. When they finally separated, a glistening silver thread stretched between them. It was both ambiguous and lewd.
Liang Ruojing was prepared to apologize, but Ming Tanqing turned her head away, covering her mouth with the back of her hand as she reminded her, “You should go to the set now.”
“Mhm.”
Liang Ruojing lingered for a few seconds before lowering her head toward the Omega again. Ming Tanqing guessed she wanted another kiss; she felt a flash of annoyance but didn’t resist. Sinking into the chair, she watched the Alpha draw closer and closer.
Why am I so soft-hearted?
Liang Ruojing had always been one to take an inch when given a mile. Since Ming Tanqing didn’t object, Liang Ruojing cupped her face and kissed her all over, only letting go when she was on the verge of being late.
Liang Ruojing’s heart remained restless all the way to the set. It was only when she stepped out of the nanny van and was hit by the sub-zero freezing wind that she cleared her head.
The set was exceptionally noisy today, with even more people moving about than during the opening ceremony—many of them unfamiliar faces. Amidst the clamor, a figure wrapped in thick fur appeared from the side. She was tall, with mature black permed hair, looking exquisite from head to toe.
One week and four days later, You Xi had finally joined the cast.
Liang Ruojing observed this big star from a distance. Yoou Xi, an Omega, 30 years old, an established actress rumored to come from a wealthy family. Since her debut, she had never lacked resources; her four-out-of-ten acting skills were marketed as a seven. After years in the industry, she had reputable awards to her name and was considered a top-tier figure pursued by everyone.
