Beauty Snake - Chapter 7
Chapter 7: As You Wish, Tonight We Sink Together
“You… mmph…”
Ji Yunfei tried her best to ignore her ears, which were turning red enough to bleed. She opened her mouth to say something, but Xie Yin wouldn’t give her the chance. Xie Yin pressed her index finger gently against Ji Yunfei’s lips and leaned even closer to her ear.
“Shh, don’t speak.”
As the words fell, Ji Yunfei felt the invisible constraints on her body vanish; she felt much lighter. She turned around, her pupils dilating slightly. This was not the first time she had seen the person before her. Those pale green pupils that had left the deepest impression on her memory, and that familiar snake-patterned mask.
It was her—that woman as arrogant and mysterious as a narcissus. More accurately, the woman with a human torso and a snake’s tail.
Ji Yunfei stared into the woman’s eyes. Unlike their previous encounter in the dream, this time the mist beneath Xie Yin’s pale green eyes was heavy with moisture. Even though she was trying her best to restrain her desire, the faint redness at the corners of her eyes remained, hooking into Ji Yunfei’s soul.
Whenever she stared into these eyes, Ji Yunfei couldn’t help but want to drown in them. This time was no exception.
The two stared at each other in silence. After an unknown amount of time, Ji Yunfei moved. She reached out, wanting once again to remove the woman’s mask. Unlike before, the woman didn’t suddenly erupt into a violent urge to eat her.
Seeing Ji Yunfei’s attempt to unmask her, Xie Yin’s eyes crinkled slightly and her lips curled up. She laughed and raised her hand to stop Ji Yunfei.
“Not yet,” she whispered. “It’s not the right time.”
She then took Ji Yunfei’s hand, which was suspended in mid-air, and placed it on her own shoulder. She guided it slowly downward until it rested over her heart.
“I am not some unrefined wild snake; I won’t eat you. Look, even the frequency of my heartbeat is telling me… I need you. So, don’t think too much. Help me, A-Fei. I beg of you.”
As the woman spoke, she moved closer to Ji Yunfei, her hands never stopping as she guided Ji Yunfei’s hand further down. Ji Yunfei froze, staring wide-eyed as the woman drew closer and closer, until their noses were less than a centimeter apart.
As their breaths intertwined, the scent of narcissus, which had almost dissipated, swirled back into the air. Seeing Ji Yunfei still standing there like a fool, Xie Yin sighed inwardly, beginning to doubt her own charm. Waiting for Ji Yunfei to take the initiative was like trying to reach the heavens; since she had already started the seduction, she might as well go all the way.
Thus, the final centimeter of distance was swallowed. After their noses touched, Xie Yin rubbed hers lightly against Ji Yunfei’s.
“Huh? Mmph…”
Ji Yunfei finally moved. She first pressed her hand against Xie Yin’s forehead to push her back slightly. She stared at her for a few seconds, then, as if making a final decision, she slid her hand down from the forehead to cup the woman’s cheek.
Xie Yin’s face was lifted. Before she could react, a touch of warmth pressed against her icy lips, but it broke away the instant it touched. Xie Yin was stunned for a moment, and then the light in her eyes could no longer be hidden; a smile tugged at the corners of her mouth.
“That’s not enough.”
Xie Yin wrapped her arms around Ji Yunfei’s neck, and her cold lips pressed back onto the source of warmth she had been longing for. The long kiss was only interrupted when Ji Yunfei ran out of breath. Both of their breathing was ragged.
But Xie Yin quickly recovered and struck while the iron was hot, leading Ji Yunfei to sit upon the icy throne. She then took Ji Yunfei’s hand again, letting it slide slowly over every part of her body before stopping at a silver scale just below her abdomen.
“A-Fei, it’s waiting for you.”
As she spoke, Xie Yin coiled her tail around Ji Yunfei, the tip of the tail trembling uncontrollably from excitement and passion. Ji Yunfei stared at the opening and closing scale, her pupils dilating in shock.
The area around the scale was shimmering with moisture, and the sight beneath the scale was like a black hole—unknown, mysterious, and threatening to suck her in and never let her go. Ji Yunfei felt as if she were drunk; her head was swimming, and the scent of narcissus lingered around her nose, refusing to leave. Her ears felt hot enough to catch fire.
But she couldn’t care about that anymore. It was an illusion anyway, and the woman had tempted her; she was just helping. Before she completely gave up her resistance, Ji Yunfei thought: This is probably the “beauty snake” I’ve been dreaming of. Only this one doesn’t eat people… she just knows how to seduce them.
“Hnn… ah… A-Fei…”
As you wish, tonight, we sink together.
“Ugh… ah… my head, my head.”
As soon as Ji Yunfei woke up, she felt as if her brain had just undergone a massive explosion. The pain was unbearable. She sat up to rub her head, then collapsed back down, waiting for a long time for the headache to subside.
“Wait? Why am I lying in my own bed?!”
Only then did she notice she was lying in her comfortable little bed, as if nothing had happened. She had simply slept through the night and woken up normally.
“Ah… what did I do…” At the thought of the things she had done in the illusion, Ji Yunfei felt her cheeks burn like fire. “That little monster… she better hope I don’t catch her.”
Gritting her teeth, she decided to head back up the mountain immediately. She had a premonition that she would definitely catch that troublemaker this time. No sooner said than done. She rolled out of bed, but her legs buckled, and she nearly performed a “New Year’s kowtow” on the spot.
“Hehe… what kind of illusion makes your legs sore in the real world?”
Thinking back to how the woman in the illusion would coil her tail tightly around Ji Yunfei’s legs at the height of passion, leaving her legs feeling like jelly, Ji Yunfei’s head filled with black lines of embarrassment. Enduring the full-body discomfort, she quickly reorganized her gear and prepared to set off.
The weather today was exceptionally good. The sunlight was warm on her skin, and the faint scent of grass in the air lifted her mood. Soon, relying on her memory, she found the cave from that night.
But Ji Yunfei had no intention of going inside this time. She shouted at the entrance, “I’m back! I know you’re in there! Come out if you have the guts!”
She didn’t know if her shouting moved the snake, but it certainly brought out a swarm of bats.
“…”
Getting her face plastered with bats again, Ji Yunfei dropped her gear and sat down on the spot. She was going to wait for the snake to come to her. If she couldn’t shout it out, she’d wait. Who knew what she’d encounter if she went back in? She wasn’t going to take that risk.
Time ticked by, and soon the horizon was painted with streaks of red as the sun began to set. Seeing that it was getting late, Ji Yunfei prepared to head home and try again another day. But as she stood up, a chill touched her left earlobe, making her flinch violently.
She whipped around and saw the black snake hanging upside down from a tree, eyes half-closed, flickering its tongue at her.
“Gotcha! Finally caught you.”
Seeing the black snake looking exhausted, Ji Yunfei reached out directly toward it. Upon seeing her hand, the snake proactively rubbed its head against her palm.
“Truly an intelligent snake.”
Ji Yunfei couldn’t help but marvel. Although the illusion from last night felt incredibly real, she was inclined to believe it was a result of her own desires and “thinking of it by day, dreaming of it by night.” After all, legends are just legends. Who would truly believe such a bizarre story?
The capture operation today was surprisingly smooth. Ji Yunfei secretly brought the black snake home and worked overtime to build it a dedicated terrarium.
“Alright, from now on you stay here and get to know your new friends. This is Xiao Huang, the first baby I ever brought home.”
Ji Yunfei pointed to the corn snake in the adjacent terrarium, her eyes full of maternal affection. “This is Hua Hua… this is Brother Glasses…”
Ji Yunfei talked incessantly about her history with the veteran snakes, completely failing to notice the darkening expression of the little black snake or the way the other snake “babies” were coiled up in terror, not daring to show their heads…
