Beauty Snake - Chapter 50
Chapter 50: “Weren’t You Going To Give Me A ‘Couple’s Tattoo’?”
Before her brain could even register a thought, her hands had already followed the guidance of her heart. By the time she snapped back to reality, her hands were firmly cradling the cheeks of the person before her.
The skin beneath her palms was scorching—searingly hot. Ji Yunfei stared fixedly at Xie Yin, only to find that the other woman’s face was already flushed a deep crimson, mirroring her own. Her heartbeat gradually spiraled out of rhythm as the distance between them shrank with her approach.
Their noses touched. Ji Yunfei subconsciously began to rub hers against Xie Yin’s, their two sets of hot, unsteady breaths intertwining. She looked into Xie Yin’s eyes, and in that gaze, she found nothing but her own reflection.
“I often find myself wondering why you like me…”
“It seems like from the very first moment we met, you’ve been ‘enticing’ me step by step…”
“Everything was so sudden, so unbelievable.”
“Xie Yin, sometimes I really wonder…”
“If I did some immense good deed in my past life…”
“To be able to meet you in this one.”
“It’s as if you came here specifically for me…” Ji Yunfei closed her eyes and kissed the tip of the other’s nose, failing to catch the fleeting moment of stiffness that flickered in Xie Yin’s eyes.
“As you said, feelings are sudden things; a burst of hormones only takes a second.”
“A-Fei, instead of thinking it’s karma from a past life, why not think of it as you being worthy of love, and I just happened to find you—this piece of unpolished jade…”
“Of course, you can also believe I came specifically for you. Isn’t that more romantic?”
“You only need to know that no matter what, I will be by your side…”
“As long as you don’t leave first, I won’t leave.”
“I will remain fixed in my own galaxy, waiting for you time and again through the cycles of time…”
“Pfft… saying something so cheesy. I didn’t know you were such a smooth talker, CEO Xie…” Ji Yunfei wasn’t used to Xie Yin’s sudden serious confession tone. She laughed and lightly punched the other’s shoulder, then leaned into that ear which was red enough to bleed and blew a gentle breath.
“After saying all that…”
“Has your heartbeat stabilized?”
“Then I suppose you don’t need ‘kissing therapy’ anymore…” Seeing Xie Yin’s ears turn even redder, Ji Yunfei felt quite pleased with herself. Just as she intended to tease her more, her hands were suddenly grabbed.
Her shoulders were pulled back by a sudden force. The world spun before her eyes, and instinctively, she squeezed them shut.
Before she opened them again, Ji Yunfei felt a weight on her waist. She peeked through a tiny slit, and when she saw the current situation, her eyes flew wide open. Her hands, resting by her sides, instinctively gripped the grass on the ground.
The woman straddling her waist had flushed cheeks and a wandering gaze, her grip tightening on Ji Yunfei’s wrists.
“It hasn’t recovered…”
“Doctor Ji, hurry up and start the treatment.”
“Heh…” Ji Yunfei felt the strength in the grip on her hands lessen. She let out a soft laugh and pulled her hands free from the loose restraint, then propped herself up and sat up.
Her hand slid slowly up Xie Yin’s thigh, coming to rest on that slender waist. The smooth sensation, like high-quality mutton-fat jade, made her subconsciously pinch the soft skin there.
“Hmph—” A trembling moan escaped, and Ji Yunfei’s neck was suddenly circled and held tight.
Snap— The tight spring in her mind broke. Ji Yunfei buried her head in the hollow of the other’s neck, her nose rubbing against it as she inhaled the faint scent of narcissus.
“I’ll give you a couple’s ‘tattoo’…” Ji Yunfei blurted out nonsensically. Before Xie Yin could react, she opened her mouth and lightly bit down on the elegant line of her neck.
“Sss—” A sound of pain drifted out. Just as Ji Yunfei was about to look up, she was pressed back down.
“Weren’t you going to give me a couple’s tattoo..?”
“Continue…”
“This girl…”
Ji Yunfei laughed inwardly, but her mouth didn’t stop. She parted her lips again, revealing her two upper canines, and bit down toward the other’s collarbone.
Her teeth followed the structure of the bone, “nibbling” all the way until they stopped near the sternum, grinding gently.
When she looked up again, she happened to catch Xie Yin looking down. Those moist eyes behind the gold-rimmed glasses crashed into her sight without warning.
Ji Yunfei reached out and slid the hair tie off the woman’s hair. In an instant, the black hair cascaded down like a waterfall, several strands falling onto the back of her hand, soft as fine silk.
Seeing this move, Xie Yin freed a hand to gather the long hair scattered behind her and beckoned with a finger, her gaze hazy.
The hair tie was tossed aside, rolling away into some unknown corner. Ji Yunfei hooked her arms around the neck of this enchanting “vixen” and pulled her closer.
“You really are a vixen…”
“Too bad I’ve never been some pure-hearted saint who can remain unmoved in the face of temptation.”
The distance closed once more. This time, Ji Yunfei didn’t “change the subject” but chose to “apply the right medicine,” solving the “patient” Xie Yin’s problem in one go.
The moment their soft lips touched, both of them shrugged slightly, and their hot breaths hitched.
Truly… it was exactly as it had been in the dream, perhaps even softer and warmer… like honey, like jelly. Once touched, one only wanted more…
Ji Yunfei felt that even if this kiss were arsenic, even if it were a trap… she would keep demanding more from the person in front of her… because it was sweet… making her head spin…
“Hah—”
“You… mm…” Without giving Ji Yunfei time to catch her breath, Xie Yin took off her cumbersome glasses, grabbed Ji Yunfei’s collar somewhat roughly, leaned in, and captured those parting lips.
The lower lip was “nibbled” lightly. The other person seemed to be retaliating; every bite had a different intensity. Hints of pain accompanied by a numbing sensation spread throughout her body. Ji Yunfei even found herself getting addicted to the feeling…
“Xie Yin… you rascal…”
“You clearly belong to the Year of the Dog!!”
“This scene… feels a bit like déjà vu…”
“Mmm-nnh—”
“It hurts…” Having been bitten hard by Ji Yunfei, Xie Yin pulled back in pain, her hand rubbing her “injured” lip.
She poked Ji Yunfei, gesturing for her to look at her slightly swollen lips. Ji Yunfei looked and saw a clear row of shallow teeth marks.
“You have the nerve to say it hurts…”
“We’re even…” Seeing Xie Yin’s look of extreme grievance, Ji Yunfei felt a surge of exasperation. She pointed to her own lower lip, which also bore teeth marks, and raised an eyebrow at the person faking misery.
“Ahem… wipe the lipstick off your face first…” Xie Yin’s gaze drifted as she took a wet wipe from her pocket and handed it to Ji Yunfei.
“…” Ji Yunfei silently took the wipe and opened her phone camera.
The woman on the screen had messy brown hair, with several strands scattered over her forehead. Her eyes were filled with moisture, and two different shades of lipstick were smeared around her mouth, looking extremely vivid against her fair skin.
Silently wiping away the smeared lipstick using the phone screen as a mirror, Ji Yunfei glanced at Xie Yin, only to find she had already touched up her own lipstick and was now watching her with a beaming smile.
“A-Fei… where’s your lipstick? Not touching up?”
“In the bag… didn’t bring it.”
“Then…” Xie Yin approached with a somewhat mischievous smile. Ji Yunfei instinctively backed away, but she was quickly pulled back by the other’s swift hand.
“Let me help you touch it up…”
“Mmm..”
“Xie Yin!!”
“Is this how you touch up lipstick?”
“Look… isn’t it done? Perfectly.” Xie Yin blinked innocently and held up her phone, showing Ji Yunfei her “masterpiece” on the screen.
Well… she had to admit, it was a perfect touch-up…
“Shall we go? Back to base camp? If we’re gone too long, they’ll get suspicious.” Xie Yin proactively took Ji Yunfei’s hand, rubbing the “South Star” on her middle finger as she spoke.
Only then did Ji Yunfei remember they had snuck out during the chaos. If they didn’t go back soon, the main force led by Chi Chang would probably flip the mountain upside down looking for them.
“Okay, let’s go.” She squeezed Xie Yin’s hand back, and the two walked back side by side, fingers tightly interlaced.
As they neared the base camp, Ji Yunfei could see the group from afar, circled together and lying sprawled across the ground in various states of sleep.
The only person still conscious and standing to the side was the curly-haired blonde, Chi Chang. Before they even reached her, the figure in the distance looked their way, hesitated for a moment, and then waved her arms frantically.
“Finally, you’re back…”
“Come, come, help me wake these drunks up… get them back to their own tents.” As they approached, Chi Chang couldn’t stop complaining. The atmosphere had been successfully livened up—perhaps too successfully. Beer had been downed glass after glass, and everyone except Chi Chang had passed out.
She was left alone to clean up the mess.
Having finally waited for these two who had “escaped for a tryst,” Chi Chang naturally wasn’t going to let them go back to rest so easily.
As for Ji Yunfei and Xie Yin, for some reason, an inexplicable sense of guilt rose in their hearts. They didn’t argue, but silently cooperated with Chi Chang, ushering the drunken colleagues one by one back to their tents.
“Feizi, come here—” After finishing the cleanup, Chi Chang drew Xie Yin away and pulled Ji Yunfei to the side with a mysterious, eerie smile on her face.
“Truth time… what did you two sneak off to do?”
“Did you sneak off for some smooching?”
“Holy crap, how did you kno—” The words slipped out halfway before Ji Yunfei hurriedly covered her mouth, her eyes full of shock.
“Heh heh heh… I knew it!!” Chi Chang wore a “just as I thought” expression, slapped Ji Yunfei hard on the shoulder, and leaned into her ear.
“You should just be glad they’re all unconscious…”
“Your lips are both red and swollen… and you were holding hands when you walked back.”
“Were you afraid people wouldn’t know what you were up to?”
“Fine, fine, I knew I couldn’t hide it from you.” Facing Chi Chang’s “disdainful” gaze, Ji Yunfei raised her hands in surrender and told her everything.
“I confessed…”
“She said yes…”
“We shared a little kiss…”
“That’s all.” As she spoke, scenes from a moment ago flashed back into her mind, making her heart race and her lips curl into an uncontrollable smile.
“Look, the couple’s rings I designed and made myself…”
“This is the South Star; the North Star is on Xie Yin’s hand…” Ji Yunfei held out her left hand, waving the South Star in front of Chi Chang with a triumphant tone.
“Tch—who cares?” Chi Chang rolled her eyes and pouted in disdain.
“This Chi Chang… whatever, she still has Qin Qing… tsk tsk tsk…”
“Anyway, enough about that.”
“Look, this is the good stuff—” Like a magician, Chi Chang produced two ticket-like items from behind her back.
“These are…?”
“VIP tickets for the Hot Spring Villa…”
“Limited edition, you know? You can’t buy these even with money… is your girl reliable or what?”
“Hurry up and go with Xie Yin, I’m rooting for you!”
“Bye-bye!” Without letting Ji Yunfei say another word, Chi Chang stuffed the tickets into her hand and dove back into her own tent without looking back.
“?”
Was she going to be eaten? Why the rush?
Puzzled by Chi Chang’s sudden strange behavior, Ji Yunfei unfolded the tickets against the sky. Using the moonlight to see the patterns and text on the tickets, her face suddenly turned scalding hot.
Is this… something that can be printed on a ticket…?
Just as Ji Yunfei was questioning her life, Xie Yin’s clear, curious voice came from behind her.
“A-Fei? What are you looking at?”
