After Transmigrating into a Scummy Alpha, I Became a Tool Person - Chapter 51
Ever since learning she was pregnant, Xia Ruoxi’s initial anxiety had slowly turned into anticipation. She was looking forward to the baby’s arrival and firmly believed that she would be a good mother.
Winter passed and spring arrived, the weather gradually growing warmer.
Her belly had begun to show ever so slightly, though not enough to be obvious. Hand in hand, Xie Yinian and Xia Ruoxi took a leisurely stroll through the park.
With a soft smile, Xie Yinian asked, “What do you think—will it be an Alpha or an Omega?”
Xia Ruoxi lowered her gaze and gently caressed her belly, her expression tender. “No matter if it’s an Alpha or an Omega, a boy or a girl, I’ll love them just the same.”
“I think an Omega would be better,” Xie Yinian mused. “They’re obedient and sweet. Alphas are so naughty and hard to handle.”
She was thinking of her aunt’s child—a little Alpha who was mischievous to the point of chaos, a tiny whirlwind of trouble.
Xia Ruoxi gave her a sidelong glance. “So, you don’t like Alphas?”
“Of course not! That’s not what I meant.” Xie Yinian took her hand and pressed a kiss to her knuckles, her voice soft. “No matter what, our child will be loved.”
Xia Ruoxi huffed lightly, and Xie Yinian bent down toward her slightly rounded stomach with a grin. “What do you say, baby? You agree, right?”
“She can’t hear you,” Xia Ruoxi said, laughing.
“You never know. Maybe she’s secretly listening in there,” Xie Yinian teased, raising her brows playfully.
Xia Ruoxi couldn’t help but chuckle. The baby was only a few months along—what could she possibly be listening to?
After walking for a while longer, the two decided to head home. When they reached the villa gate, Xie Yinian suddenly stopped and called out nervously, “Wait.”
Xia Ruoxi turned around, puzzled. “What’s wrong?”
Stepping closer, Xie Yinian came up behind her, gently covering her eyes with both hands. “Don’t move,” she whispered.
Warm breath brushed against Xia Ruoxi’s neck. The world before her eyes went dark.
“What are you doing?” Xia Ruoxi asked softly.
Her heart began to beat faster—thump, thump.
“I want to show you something,” Xie Yinian said, her voice slightly hoarse.
Xia Ruoxi sensed that a surprise was coming. The corners of her lips curved faintly as she nodded.
Guiding her step by step inside, Xie Yinian finally came to a stop. “Can you keep your eyes closed for a moment longer?” she asked gently.
Xia Ruoxi obeyed, keeping her eyes shut. Xie Yinian let go of her hands, drew back the curtains, and dimmed the lights.
“Careful now,” she said softly, holding her hand as they walked forward. “Step over this part slowly.”
Once she had led her into place, Xie Yinian released her and stepped to the front.
“Alright, you can open your eyes now.”
Xia Ruoxi opened them—and blinked in surprise.
The room was filled with balloons and a floor of rose petals arranged in the shape of a heart. Candles flickered all around, and in front of her glowed a set of light-up letters spelling: I LOVE YOU.
At the center of it all stood Xie Yinian, smiling tenderly. She knelt on one knee, opened a small velvet box, and revealed a brilliant ring that sparkled in the candlelight.
“Baby,” she began, voice trembling slightly, “I’ve been rehearsing this moment in my head for so long. I thought I could be calm and confident when I proposed to you—but the moment I brought you in, I got nervous. I didn’t know what words could truly express my feelings for you. We’ve been through so much together—our arguments, our laughter, our struggles—but more than anything, it’s been sweet. I love you, Ruoxi. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I still owe you a wedding. So, will you marry me?”
Her voice was sincere, almost reverent.
Tears welled in Xia Ruoxi’s eyes. She covered her mouth as they streamed down her cheeks.
Xie Yinian stayed kneeling patiently, waiting for her answer.
After a moment, Xia Ruoxi sniffled, her gaze meeting Yinian’s. Her voice trembled. “I will.”
A radiant smile spread across Xie Yinian’s face. She quickly took Ruoxi’s hand, slid the ring onto her finger, and clasped her hand tightly. The diamond glimmered under the candlelight, and she couldn’t help but laugh softly in bliss.
Xia Ruoxi felt shy under her gaze and tried to pull her hand back.
Standing up, Xie Yinian looked at her tear-streaked, red-eyed fiancée and gently ruffled her hair. “Alright, no more tears,” she said with a warm smile.
“Mm.” Xia Ruoxi nodded, then noticed the cake on the table. “You prepared this too?”
Xie Yinian nodded. “Mm-hm. Come on, make a wish and blow the candles.”
Xia Ruoxi sat down, glancing up at her with a smile.
“Go on,” Xie Yinian encouraged softly.
Xia Ruoxi clasped her hands together, closed her eyes, made her wish, and blew out the candles.
“What did you wish for?” Xie Yinian asked teasingly.
“If I tell you, it won’t come true,” Xia Ruoxi replied with a quiet smile.
“Fair enough,” Xie Yinian chuckled.
“Let’s eat the cake now,” Xia Ruoxi said, picking up the knife to cut it.
After they finished, night had fallen.
Dressed in her pajamas, Xia Ruoxi sat propped up on the bed, reading quietly.
Xie Yinian tidied up the decorations outside, took a shower, and entered the dimly lit room. Only the small bedside lamp was on, casting a warm glow.
“Why aren’t you asleep yet?” she asked gently, walking over.
Xia Ruoxi looked up. After her bath, Yinian’s skin had a soft flush, her light eyes glistening as she looked at her.
“I was waiting for you,” Xia Ruoxi murmured, lowering her gaze shyly to her book—though her mind was far from it.
Xie Yinian smiled tenderly, sitting beside her. She brushed a few loose strands of hair behind Ruoxi’s ear.
Then, on impulse, she began releasing her pheromones—an unspoken invitation.
The sweet scent of milk filled the air, and Xia Ruoxi’s cheeks turned crimson.
Leaning close, Xie Yinian pressed her hand over the book and whispered against her ear, “Stop reading, look at me instead.”
Her voice was low, seductive.
“Mmm.” Xia Ruoxi was caught off guard as Yinian kissed her deeply, the book slipping from her hands unnoticed.
Xie Yinian’s soft milky-scented pheromones entwined with Ruoxi’s mint, blending in the air.
Her lips trailed downward—to her neck, her ear—leaving shivers in their wake.
“Ah.” Xia Ruoxi gasped softly, her eyes misty with tears of emotion.
Somewhere amid the haze, a sliver of reason returned. She pushed gently at Yinian’s shoulder, breathless. “No, we can’t.”
Sensing her resistance, Xie Yinian immediately stopped and looked up with concern. “What’s wrong? Are you uncomfortable?”
Blushing, Xia Ruoxi shook her head, her voice trembling. “Let’s wait until after the baby’s born, okay?”
Realization softened Yinian’s eyes. Smiling, she reassured, “It’s alright—the doctor said it’s safe right now.”
She leaned in a little closer, her voice husky. “Wife.”
She whispered something in her ear, seeking silent confirmation.
Xia Ruoxi’s face turned bright red, but she nodded.
With a soft laugh, Xie Yinian kissed her again.
Later, Xia Ruoxi lay weakly in her arms, utterly spent.
Xie Yinian pressed a tender kiss to her eyes. “Go to sleep.”
Too tired to reply, Xia Ruoxi soon drifted off in her embrace.
Holding her close, Xie Yinian too gradually slipped into dreams.
