After Transmigrating into a Scummy Alpha, I Became a Tool Person - Chapter 12
After drying off, Xie Yinian went to the changing room and put on a clean set of clothes.
She slipped into a white shirt and black trousers, then left the pool area and walked back into the villa.
As she reached her bedroom door and stepped inside, the faint vibration of her phone came from the desk.
Still using the towel draped around her neck to rub her damp hair, Xie Yinian walked over, sat down, and picked up her phone.

【Oh my god, the art style is stunning! I’m hooked!】
【Update soon, please! I can’t wait any longer!】
【Whoa—who drew this masterpiece? I’m following immediately!】
【Hahaha, the little fox is so cute! I want to hug it!】
【The dog is adorable too.】
【How did you draw something this beautiful? That fox is gorgeous! I want one just like it!】
Xie Yinian replied briefly: 【Inspiration comes from life.】
And that was true. The idea had come to her the moment she saw the little fox she had doodled by accident—and thought of Xia Qiqi’s face. The image in her mind fused into a Q-version fox: cold and elegant, yet irresistibly cute.
As for the other protagonist of her comic, that was a Shiba Inu.
The Shiba Inu, while out for a walk, accidentally ate a pill from a pharmacy—an adult pill—and transformed into a small, two-eared beastman with floppy hair and a dazed expression.
In the beastman world, he then encountered a little fox rushing off to work—and the story began from there.
Xie Yinian opened Weibo and reread her latest comic.
First page.
At dawn, a Shiba Inu with sleek, shiny fur finishes the dog food his beastman caretaker, Pony, had prepared for him and trots off for his morning walk.
As he wanders down the street, he spots a few beastman children playing tennis in an open lot.
Suddenly, one of the calves misjudges his swing, and the ball veers off—flying straight toward the Shiba Inu.
The dog’s eyes light up. He dashes forward, leaps, and catches the ball neatly in his mouth just before it hits the ground.
The calf stares in surprise. A second later, realizing the dog has run off with his ball, he shouts, “Hey! That’s mine! Give it back!”
The Shiba Inu, mischievous as ever, bolts off with the ball clamped between his teeth. The little calf chases after him, yelling, “You stupid dog! Give me my ball back!”
Trying not to get caught, the Shiba Inu sprints down the street, dodging pedestrians. But as he makes a sharp turn, he crashes into a fruit stand.
Apples and pears roll across the ground in all directions.
The fruit vendor, furious, curses at the dog as it runs off.
The Shiba Inu, panting hard, glances back to see the calf still chasing after him.
In a panic, he darts into a nearby pharmacy.
Beastmen are busy browsing shelves and selecting medicines, so no one notices the small dog sneaking around.
The Shiba Inu drops the tennis ball and sniffs around curiously. On the counter, something shiny catches his eye—a small, golden, round pill.
He jumps up, sniffs at it—it smells good—and, without a second thought, swallows it whole.
A clerk, glancing up between customers, freezes in shock as he sees the dog gulp down the pill. His pupils dilate.
The Shiba Inu senses he’s been caught and immediately leaps off the counter, bolting for the door.
“Wait!” the clerk shouts, chasing after him.
Thinking the man is trying to capture him, the Shiba Inu runs even faster.
After a while, the clerk gives up, sighing helplessly. That pill was an adult enhancer—meant for beastmen over eighteen. The dog clearly hadn’t reached maturity yet. Who knew what effect it might have on him?
The Shiba Inu keeps running until he’s sure no one’s following, then slows to a trot, tongue lolling as he pants.
Chasing things is his favorite game, but now something feels off. His whole body feels hot, his head dizzy, and his vision blurs.
“Watch out! Move aside!” a sharp, feminine voice calls out.
The Shiba Inu hears it, but he’s too weak and overheated to move. He pants heavily and collapses onto the ground.
A little fox, dressed in business attire and carrying a shoulder bag, rushes into view.
She’s late for work—overslept again—and is sprinting to catch the last bus.
She runs at full speed—only to find a dog lying right in the middle of the road.
The little fox couldn’t stop herself in time. She shouted anxiously at the dog to move out of the way before she ran straight into it.
But the dog didn’t seem to hear her. Instead, it just lay down on the ground, as if waiting for her to crash into it.
“Move! You’re gonna get hit!”
The Shiba Inu didn’t budge.
With a loud thud!, the little fox tripped over the dog and fell face-first to the ground, her nose turning red from the impact.
Tears welled up in her eyes from the pain, but thankfully, she’d landed on the dog, so her body wasn’t hurt.
She pushed herself up, clutching her sore nose, and scolded angrily, “I told you to move! See? Now look what happened!”
The Shiba Inu opened its eyes with a soft whimper, gazing up at her helplessly.
“What’s wrong with you?” she asked, reaching out to touch its head.
The moment her hand made contact, she sensed a strange kind of energy pulsing beneath her palm. Startled, she blurted, “Wait—did you take a human transformation pill?”
“Woof,” the Shiba Inu whimpered pitifully, its dark eyes glimmering.
The little fox glanced at her watch—she was almost late for work. If she didn’t hurry, her wages would be docked again. But leaving the dog here,
She bit her lip, then crouched down and said, “I’ll take you to the hospital. Can you move? If you can, climb onto my back—I’ll carry you.”
The Shiba Inu let out a faint bark, as if to say it still had some strength left.
“Alright,” the little fox nodded, turning around. “Come on, hop on.”
The dog clambered onto her back.
The little fox struggled to lift it. It was much heavier than she’d expected—what on earth had this dog been eating?
Panting, she trudged along for a while. “Almost there. Just hang in there a little longer.”
Her arms and legs were shaking, anxiety creeping in. What if she couldn’t make it all the way to the hospital? She was so small, and the dog was practically her size—or bigger.
When she got nervous, her fox ears tended to pop out involuntarily.
Suddenly, a pair of hands brushed against her ears. A low, slightly husky voice murmured behind her.
“So soft.”
The little fox stiffened and turned her head sharply—only to find that the “dog” on her back was no longer a dog, but a girl.
The girl had large yellow ears perched on her head, and black eyes that stared straight at her.
Startled, the little fox hurriedly set her down and looked her over from head to toe.
The girl was wearing a blue denim dress and looked to be around sixteen or seventeen.
“You’ve already transformed?” the little fox asked in surprise.
The girl shook her head. “Not yet—one more month.”
“Then how did you,”
“I took the pill just now,” the girl admitted softly. “And then I turned into this.”
The little fox frowned. “You took it before you came of age? That’s risky.”
“Do you feel any discomfort?”
“I felt really hot just now,” the girl replied, “but suddenly I don’t anymore.”
“That’s normal,” said the little fox. “That always happens after taking the pill.”
“Oh.”
The girl’s eyes sparkled as she looked at the little fox’s ears. “Can I touch them again?”
The little fox immediately tucked her ears back in. “No.”
The girl’s shoulders slumped. “Okay.”
Passersby glanced curiously at the two of them.
A cat-person walked past, sneering at the girl. “Stupid dog. Put your ears and tail away. Don’t you know it’s indecent to show them in public?”
The girl frowned at being called stupid, but said nothing as the cat-person walked off.
“Better hide them,” the little fox explained gently. “Showing your ears and tail in public is like walking around without clothes on.”
“Got it,” the girl muttered reluctantly.
She tried to retract her ears and tail, but no matter how she concentrated, they wouldn’t disappear.
“I, I can’t hide them,” she said helplessly, looking to the little fox for help.
The little fox frowned again. “It must be a side effect of taking the pill too early.”
Without hesitation, she took off her hat and placed it on the girl’s head, then removed her jacket and tied it around the girl’s waist to cover her tail.
“There,” she said once she was done. “My place is nearby. It’s too public out here—come with me for now.”
The girl nodded obediently.
And so, the little fox led the girl home.
