After Transmigrating into a Ridiculous Alpha, I Saved My Aloof Omega Wife - Chapter 67
“My classmate is drunk, could we get a room for her first?” Cheng Jianli said. “I’ll call someone to bring her ID over later.”
The middle-aged man waved his hand. “No can do. This is a proper hotel no ID, no stay. If something happens, we can’t take that responsibility.”
Jiang Muyan, swaying unsteadily beside her, asked in confusion, “Why won’t they let us stay? I want the luxury presidential suite.”
Cheng Jianli: “…”
Suppressing the urge to cover Jiang Muyan’s mouth, she asked the front desk again, “Really no exceptions? Her family isn’t answering their phones, but I promise someone will bring her ID later.”
The man shook his head. “No.” Noticing how Cheng Jianli’s slender frame was supporting Jiang Muyan, he added, “But there’s a small inn next door where you can stay.”
Cheng Jianli asked, “No ID needed?”
The man replied casually, “Who checks IDs at small inns? They’re just happy to have customers.”
“Thank you,” Cheng Jianli said politely before leading Jiang Muyan away.
It was past midnight, and the wind outside had turned chilly. Half-dragging Jiang Muyan along, Cheng Jianli headed for the nearby inn.
As they walked, Jiang Muyan kept complaining about the pain in the back of her neck. Cheng Jianli soothed her, “Differentiation is painful. Just bear with it a little longer, we’ll find the inn soon.”
Confused, Jiang Muyan asked, “What’s differentiation, wifey?” She was clearly too drunk to remember even this basic concept.
Cheng Jianli explained, “It’s the process of you becoming an alpha. Haven’t you always wanted to differentiate?”
“Alpha?” Jiang Muyan blinked sleepily, still not comprehending. “Will you stay with me?”
Of course Cheng Jianli would stay, she’d never leave Jiang Muyan alone in some random inn. “Yes, I’ll stay with you.”
Jiang Muyan grinned. “Hehe, you’re the best, wifey.”
About fifteen minutes later, Cheng Jianli found the place.
Looking up, she saw that while the inn appeared old, it was tidy. Potted green plants flanked the entrance, adding a touch of warmth.
Quietly, Cheng Jianli asked, “Can you stay here?”
Jiang Muyan paused, her drunken face still flushed. “Aren’t we here to get a room, wifey?”
“Yes,” Cheng Jianli didn’t correct her—arguing with a drunk was pointless. “But this inn definitely doesn’t have your luxury presidential suite. Are you okay staying here?”
Jiang Muyan clung to Cheng Jianli, mumbling, “I’ll stay anywhere with you.”
With that, Cheng Jianli guided her inside. Pushing open the door, she saw an elderly woman at the front desk, gray-haired and bespectacled.
The woman was watching an old drama on a small television.
“Hello, we’d like a room,” Cheng Jianli said.
The woman looked up from the screen, reaching into a drawer to pull out a pen and form. Her hands appeared rough but held the pen with surprising strength. “Two people staying together?”
“Yes,” Cheng Jianli replied, then asked, “Do you have twin beds?”
“Upstairs,” the woman answered in a steady voice, her face kind. “We’ve got one twin room and two doubles left, all 158 yuan.”
Cheng Jianli said, “Then we’ll take a twin room.”
The elderly woman at the front desk asked, “Do you have your ID cards?”
“No,” Cheng Jianli replied, supporting the heavily intoxicated Jiang Muyan. “My classmate is drunk. I’ll call her family later to have someone bring it over would that be alright?”
The old woman hesitated. “It’s not good to stay without an ID.”
“Please, we really need it,” Cheng Jianli said earnestly. “It’s already midnight, and it’s hard to find a hotel at this hour.”
The woman glanced at their school uniforms clearly, they were students and Jiang Muyan was indeed too drunk to argue with. Softening, she sighed. “Alright. It’s dangerous for two young girls to be out this late. Go ahead and stay second floor, turn left.”
“Thank you,” Cheng Jianli said immediately.
After signing in and taking the keycard, she guided Jiang Muyan upstairs. The girl swayed unsteadily, clinging to Cheng Jianli’s waist with a silly grin. “Wifey, wifey!”
Cheng Jianli: “…”
She had no idea how long Jiang Muyan planned to keep calling her that, but she steeled herself and led her into the room.
The electronic lock beeped, and the door swung open.
Inside, two rose-colored beds greeted them, draped with pink curtains. A faintly sweet scent lingered in the air. The air conditioner was covered with a pink cloth, unused, but the room was otherwise clean and cozy.
Cheng Jianli froze at the sight. She turned back to double-check had they entered the wrong room?
Why was this a love suite?!
Jiang Muyan, meanwhile, took in the decor with wide, drunken eyes before suddenly blushing. “Wifey, so you wanted to stay in a love suite with me.”
Cheng Jianli: “…”
Before she could process this or go back to the front desk, Jiang Muyan wrapped her arms around her waist from behind, hot breath ghosting over Cheng Jianli’s ear. “You smell so good, wifey.”
Cheng Jianli barely had time to react before Jiang Muyan scooped her up and deposited her onto one of the narrow, rose-pink beds too small for two unless they pressed close.
Jiang Muyan’s eyes were hazy, glazed with intoxication and something else. She gazed at Cheng Jianli with a shy smile. “Wifey… are you that desperate?”
Cheng Jianli finally found her voice, but what could she say? Jiang Muyan was not only on the verge of differentiation but also completely drunk. How was she supposed to reason with her?
Besides she’d never been in a love suite before either.
Her ears burned, fingers trembling slightly beneath a calm façade. A quiet shame coiled in her chest.
What was she supposed to do?
But Cheng Jianli’s silence only made Jiang Muyan assume consent. She lunged forward, hands tugging at Cheng Jianli’s school uniform. Startled, Cheng Jianli grabbed her wrists, only for Jiang Muyan to break free effortlessly.
Dizzy but determined, Jiang Muyan gripped Cheng Jianli’s waist and leaned in, aiming for her snow-pale cheeks and soft lips. Cheng Jianli dodged, pushing her back.
After several failed attempts, Jiang Muyan’s nape ached even more.
“Wifey, why won’t you let me kiss you?” she whined, hurt flashing across her flushed face. “Don’t you like me anymore?”
Cheng Jianli accidentally twisted her waist while dodging. Suppressing the sharp pain, she asked, “Does the back of your neck still hurt?”
Jiang Muyan nodded groggily.
Cheng Jianli said, “Then you should rest properly.”
She glanced down at her phone, which had slipped out, it was now 12:40, well into the night.
“But don’t you really want it?” Jiang Muyan leaned closer, her shy voice almost bewitching. “Wifey, you even brought me to a couples’ suite. Let’s try something special, okay?”
The term made Cheng Jianli flush all over, and she could only correct her, “I’m not your wife.”
Jiang Muyan blinked dazedly. “But you are.”
Cheng Jianli retreated slightly. “I’m not. Can you stop calling everyone ‘wifey’?”
“How are you not?!” Jiang Muyan immediately protested, raising her voice. “My wife is gorgeous, has an amazing figure, is super smart, and treats me so well! It’s obviously you!”
Cheng Jianli: “…”
Among those adjectives, the “amazing figure” stood out particularly.
Jiang Muyan lowered her head, pouting. “Wifey…”
Hearing that pitiful tone, Cheng Jianli wavered slightly but still insisted, “I really am not.”
Jiang Muyan suddenly looked up, her expression serious. “I want to kiss you.”
Cheng Jianli: “?”
“Didn’t you hear me?” Cheng Jianli’s face burned, a tingling sensation spreading down her spine to her limbs. “I’m not!”
The next second, Jiang Muyan lunged at her again, wrapping her arms around Cheng Jianli’s neck and pulling her into a tight embrace, nuzzling against her happily. “Wifey, you smell so nice. You’re so warm.”
Realizing Jiang Muyan was just clinging to her this time without any further moves, Cheng Jianli frowned at the ceiling while reaching to touch the back of her neck.
Something soft likely a newly swollen gland met her fingers.
Jiang Muyan’s muffled voice came through. “It hurts!”
Cheng Jianli withdrew her hand and picked up her phone again. It was nearly 1 a.m.
“You’re drunk,” she said. “Do you want some water?”
Jiang Muyan’s throat was indeed hoarse, aching from the alcohol. “Yes.”
“Then sit up first.”
Jiang Muyan obediently did so, her bleary eyes following Cheng Jianli as she fetched water. The electric kettle in the room might not be clean, so Cheng Jianli grabbed an unopened bottle of mineral water from the nightstand instead. “Drink some.”
Jiang Muyan took a sip, her dazed gaze meeting Cheng Jianli’s.
The other girl’s fair cheeks were faintly flushed, her long lashes trembling slightly. The stray strands of hair that had clung to her forehead now framed her face softly. Jiang Muyan swallowed hazily, her heart splitting open like a glutinous rice ball, its rich black sesame filling spilling out, searing her chest with warmth.
Without warning, Jiang Muyan tossed the water bottle aside and, before Cheng Jianli could react, pinned her back onto the bed, burying her face into Cheng Jianli’s neck. Her sweet, intoxicated breath fanned over Cheng Jianli’s skin. “Wifey, this bed is so small.”
Cheng Jianli could barely breathe under her tight hold. “This was the only place available. Just bear with it.”
“Then…” Jiang Muyan’s drunken gaze was hazy, but her words were startlingly honest. “Can I strip you naked?”
Cheng Jianli instantly froze, her neck flushing crimson.
Though she’d heard this line countless times before, when Jiang Muyan actually said it aloud, her mind went completely blank, leaving her speechless.
“I want to touch you,” Jiang Muyan murmured indistinctly. “Why won’t you cooperate with me tonight, wifey? I’m so disappointed.”
As she spoke, Jiang Muyan began actively pulling at Cheng Jianli’s jacket.
The jacket was soon tossed onto the nearby bed. Jiang Muyan leaned down to plant a heavy kiss on her cheek, the sweet scent of alcohol enveloping them. Cheng Jianli was stunned, but before she could regain her composure, Jiang Muyan’s hands were already at her waist, pushing up her gray T-shirt.
The pale curve of her slender waist was exposed. Feeling the sudden chill, Cheng Jianli immediately grabbed Jiang Muyan’s hands and met her gaze. “Jiang Muyan, what exactly is our relationship?”
Blinking in confusion, Jiang Muyan parted her wine-red lips. “You’re my wifey.”
The spot where Jiang Muyan had kissed still burned on Cheng Jianli’s cheek. She said calmly, “We’re not dating. We’re not girlfriends.” Turning away slightly, she added softly, “This is too fast.”
Jiang Muyan’s eyes shimmered like they’d been steeped in strong liquor, drunk and dazed. She insisted foolishly, “I know we’re not girlfriends because you’re my wifey!”
“Fine,” Cheng Jianli sighed, taking a deep breath to steady herself. “Whatever you call it, this is still too fast.”
Jiang Muyan swayed slightly. “Then what should I do? I’ll listen to you.”
Cheng Jianli said firmly, “Stop taking my clothes off.”
Jiang Muyan looked devastated. Pouting, she whined, “But, but I really want to kiss you here.”
Her gaze dropped below Cheng Jianli’s collar.
Hearing this, Cheng Jianli turned scarlet from face to neck. “You’re such a pervert,” she choked out in embarrassment. “Seriously.”
