Delivering the letter went relatively smoothly, except for the coincidental encounter with Zuo Ying.

Zuo Ying had earned her position as Cheng Jianian’s right-hand woman through her capabilities, and she certainly had her skills. She immediately recognized Shen Yunmiao, whom she had only met once before, and asked in surprise, “What are you doing here?”

At this thought, a dull ache tightened in Little Cheng’s chest.

Across from her, Zuo Ying was in a hurry to meet with Jian Shen and didn’t have time to inquire further about Shen Yunmiao and Ji Hanfeng. She simply said, “If you’re here to deliver a message, go on in.”

“Miss Zuo,” Ji Hanfeng stopped her, “Could you tell me who is currently managing artist affairs at Mercury Group?”

Zuo Ying was wary of him and didn’t dare not answer. “It’s Li Shengran.”

She probed cautiously, “Is there something you need, Young Master Ji? You can also come to me directly.”

She was a master among masters, one look and she could tell Ji Hanfeng’s question was likely for the girl beside him. And it made sense; the girl was so beautiful that entering the entertainment industry wouldn’t be surprising.

She just didn’t know what the relationship between the two was. If there was no romantic involvement, she could do her boss a favor and help out.

Whether he liked it or not, it was good to build some goodwill first making a friend was always beneficial.

Her boss’s temper was “renowned” even among the circle of second-generation elites’ others both feared him and secretly cursed him. It was entirely possible that Young Master Ji was no exception.

This line of questioning suited Ji Hanfeng perfectly. He smiled and asked, “Miss Zuo, I heard that your artist, Qiao Jingshu, and Assistant Li are…”
