- After the Straight Male Incubus Became a Heartthrob
- Chapter 8 - Do You Truly See Me as Your Boyfriend?
Liang Wenle listened to his flippant tone, which made him sound like a street hoodlum. He felt as though he were being toyed with.
“Shut up! What kind of nonsense are you talking?”
“I am admitting my mistake to you,” Ye Lin said as he stood up. He walked over to Liang Wenle and turned his back toward him. “Help me unlock these. It is difficult to move around like this.”
Liang Wenle let out a snort and walked toward the door. “I will not unlock them. You deserve this.”
Ye Lin could sense that Liang Wenle was throwing a tantrum, so he followed him obediently while offering a stream of flattery. “Kind Wenle, handsome Wenle, please, I beg you to unlock them.”
Seeing Ye Lin’s sycophantic behavior, Liang Wenle did not feel angry. Instead, he found it comical and decided to tease him further. “Then do you know what you did wrong?”
Ye Lin did not think he was wrong at all, but since his employer was unsatisfied, he had to keep apologizing. “I am wrong in every way. Upsetting Wenle today was my biggest mistake.”
It was a vague answer, clearly meant to pacify him without any actual self-reflection. Ye Lin kept chattering like a loud, annoying frog. It was infuriating. Liang Wenle’s brow furrowed, but he did not respond.
Ye Lin suddenly remembered how Liang Wenle had remained chaste for Shen Shao for years. He immediately added, “I know. I should not have kissed Wenle tonight. Wenle needs to stay pure for Shen Shao. I was truly out of line!”
Hearing this, Liang Wenle’s face turned bright red with embarrassment. “I really should slap that mouth of yours shut!”
Ye Lin’s voice dropped, and his gaze became sincere. “I know I was wrong. However, Wenle, it is normal for guys to have some physical contact. I only brushed against you just now. It does not even count as a first kiss, so please do not take it to heart.”
That was definitely a first kiss, Liang Wenle thought. That bastard Ye Lin had leaned in so skillfully. Who knew how many people he had kissed before? It was disgusting. The more Liang Wenle thought about it, the angrier he became, and his face took on a deep flush.
Ye Lin suddenly felt that Liang Wenle’s overly exquisite face was actually pleasant to look at. He looked like a little prince from medieval Europe: arrogant and overbearing, yet elegant and noble. He remembered the original novel mentioning that Liang Wenle was one-quarter mixed race, which explained his refined features.
At that moment, two other wealthy heirs walked over. Seeing the situation between the two, they began to speculate. One of them walked up to Liang Wenle and pressed a hand on his shoulder. “Wow, Wenle, you are playing with this kind of thing now?”
The other heir looked at Ye Lin. “Why are you so tactless? At a time like this, you should be kneeling and catering to Wenle.”
Liang Wenle, hearing their suggestive remarks, quickly cut them off. “Get lost, both of you! You are annoying me!”
The two walked away laughing and whispering to each other. Their conversation seemed to center on the topic of the “pure-hearted Liang Wenle” growing up.
Ye Lin watched them go and quickly leaned in. “See? You refuse to unlock these. I keep following you, people say these things, and then you get upset. It would be better to just unlock them.”
Cursing under his breath, Liang Wenle finally unlocked the restraints and headed toward the parking lot. He had lost all interest in this pool party and wanted to leave immediately.
The villa was by the sea and far from the city center. It was difficult to call a car at this hour, so Ye Lin had to ride back in Liang Wenle’s car. Ye Lin followed him to the parking lot, opened the door, and sat in the passenger seat. He gave a general location of where he needed to go.
Liang Wenle raised an eyebrow and asked crossly, “You expect me to drive you back? Do you truly see me as your boyfriend?”
Ye Lin replied matter-of-factly, “You are the one who brought me here, so you should be the one to take me back.”
Usually, Liang Wenle was the one making demands of others. How did Ye Lin dare to demand something from him? Did he really take this relationship contract seriously? Liang Wenle slammed his hand against the steering wheel and glared at Ye Lin, wondering how to make things difficult for this idiot.
Ye Lin suddenly remembered Liang Wenle’s driving during the race, which had nearly killed them. He quickly said, “You have worked hard at the party today. I should be the one to drive back.”
Liang Wenle ignored him, started the engine, and sped off while staring straight ahead. “You were the one who insisted on getting in the car. I am not taking you back. I will find a random spot on the highway to dump you out.”
Ye Lin quickly started sweet-talking him. “Do not do that! I would freeze to death. If that happens, how can I help you win over Shen Shao?”
Liang Wenle deliberately drove poorly, choosing the roughest roads in hopes of making Ye Lin sick. In the dead of night, the world was silent. The red car moved like a dark spirit, weaving freely along the winding coastline. Under the bright moonlight, the car body gave off a deep, mysterious luster. It looked like an octopus moving swiftly through the deep sea: wild and unrestrained.
Soon, Ye Lin stopped talking. He slumped in his seat with a vacant stare, looking as if he were at death’s door. Satisfied, Liang Wenle finally stopped in front of a villa, unbuckled his seatbelt, and got out.
Ye Lin realized they were not in the city and knew this was Liang Wenle’s home. Liang Wenle had the temper of a young master. He had driven like that just to torture Ye Lin, so there was no way he would actually drive him back to the city. Forget it; sleep was sleep regardless of the location. He decided to stay here for the night.
Moreover, Ye Lin had never slept in a grand villa before. Seeing the magnificent structure before him, he felt like a tree seeing sunlight. His energy returned instantly.
Liang Wenle noticed Ye Lin following him but did not turn around. He simply barked, “Go back to the city yourself! Why are you following me?”
Ye Lin answered quite naturally, “In name, I am your boyfriend. It is normal for us to live together, so I will just sleep here tonight.”
Liang Wenle turned around with a dark expression. Ye Lin immediately acted pitiful, his shoulders trembling. “Wenle, please have some pity on me. I will die if I sleep outside. Besides, your house is so big. Just give me any random room.”
Liang Wenle noticed that Ye Lin’s lips were pale and he had injuries on his forehead and arms. The former was from the rough drive, while the latter were from falling several times in the pool. He did look quite pitiful. “Fine. You can sleep on the first floor.”
Ye Lin nodded, happy with the arrangement. In a villa this size, the conditions on the first floor would not be bad at all. Every floor of the villa had high ceilings, making it look majestic. Ornate carpets and antiques on the shelves showcased luxury everywhere.
As they reached the living room, they heard several barks. A fluffy white Samoyed ran over joyfully, rubbing against Liang Wenle’s legs while panting with a smile. Its small pink ears stood upright, looking incredibly cute.
Liang Wenle patted its head and said softly, “Yuanyuan, he is a bad man. Do not go near him.”
Yuanyuan tilted its head at Ye Lin and blinked. Ye Lin really wanted to touch the soft, fluffy fur, but because of Liang Wenle, he kept his distance. Liang Wenle played with Yuanyuan for a short while before yawning and heading up to the second floor.
As soon as he left, Yuanyuan immediately lunged at Ye Lin, knocking him down and huffing happily. Ye Lin did not expect the dog to be so friendly. He laughed as he stroked its fur and teased, “Your owner is a bad guy with a strange temper, right?”
Yuanyuan barked twice and rubbed against Ye Lin’s palm. The dog had no fear of strangers. Knowing there was someone new to play with made it exceptionally happy. Ye Lin played with the dog for a long time before choosing a bedroom with an adjacent bathroom. Perhaps because he was so exhausted, he slept very soundly that night.
He only woke up when he heard the sound of things being smashed. It sounded like porcelain breaking and heavy objects hitting the floor, all coming from upstairs. Did Liang Wenle fall? Ye Lin wondered with a bit of secret glee, thinking it would serve him right.
However, after listening for a while, he realized Liang Wenle was just throwing a tantrum and smashing things. That was normal for him. Who knew who had upset the young master this time?
Ye Lin washed up as usual and went to the living room, where breakfast had already been prepared. The nanny, assuming he was a guest of the young master, invited him to sit. A moment later, Liang Wenle came downstairs with a sour face. He saw Ye Lin, who had finished eating, squatting on the floor playing with Yuanyuan. Yuanyuan was wagging its tail happily and performing various tricks.
Last night, Liang Wenle had dreamed that Ye Lin kissed him. In the dream, he had fought back and pinned Ye Lin’s hands down. Ye Lin’s eyes were watery as he whispered, “Wenle, it hurts. Be gentle with me.” He had acted recklessly in the dream, and a strange sensation had gradually taken over. When he woke up, the sheets were soiled. This was the first time Liang Wenle had experienced such a thing since puberty. Even in the past, he had never dreamed about Shen Shao.
Now that he had dreamed about this idiot Ye Lin, and even Yuanyuan was acting close to him, Liang Wenle was naturally in a foul mood. He walked over and said sarcastically, “Bad dog! It has only been one day and you have already been bewitched!”
Hearing his voice, Yuanyuan immediately ran over to rub against his legs. When it failed to get a pat, it lowered its ears and tail dejectedly. It could not understand human words; it only wanted its owner’s affection, but its owner was angry and the dog did not know what to do.
Ye Lin could not stand to see it. He pulled Yuanyuan over to comfort it. “Do not listen to his nonsense. You are the best dog in the world! You are super cute!”
Seeing this reminded Liang Wenle of the way Ye Lin spoke sweet words to him. He stabbed his steak forcefully with a fork. “Smooth talker!”
Yuanyuan wagged its tail happily and began running around the room, playing chase with Ye Lin. Both the person and the dog were full of energy. Even though they were indoors, it felt as though they were radiating bright, dazzling sunlight.
Liang Wenle put down his fork and looked at Ye Lin. “Take it outside to play. Stop running around in here!”
Ye Lin asked the butler for a leash and took Yuanyuan out to the yard. The yard was enormous, filled with various flowers and trees, and was the size of several football fields. The Samoyed could run freely there. Ye Lin had plenty of stamina and could keep up with the dog. When they were tired, they lay down to enjoy the sunlight.
Actually, he should have left as soon as he woke up, but he liked Yuanyuan so much that he stayed a bit longer. When Yuanyuan was tired from running, it sat obediently beside him, letting him rub its fur.
His phone suddenly rang. It was Gu Jiazhi calling. Ye Lin swiped to answer.
“Hello? What is up?”
“You did not come back all night. Where did you go?”
“I spent the night at Liang Wenle’s place.”
“You slept with Wenle?”
“No, do not be ridiculous. We are just acting for Shen Shao. By the way, Shen Shao gave me some money. I will pay you back five hundred thousand first, and I will pay the rest later.”
After all, they were friends. Debts should be repaid to maintain the relationship.
“You do not need to pay it back. When are you coming back?”
“Today.”
