After the Straight Male Incubus Became a Heartthrob - Chapter 26
Liang Wenle had returned two days early specifically because he wanted to be the first person to see Ye Lin. When he opened the door, however, he was greeted only by the barking of Yuanyuan. After searching the entire house and finding no trace of Ye Lin, his initial joy vanished, replaced by a heavy sense of resentment.
He sat on the edge of the sofa and pulled Yuanyuan into his lap. He could not help but complain to the dog. “Yuanyuan, he is too much, right? He did not even wait at home for me. He just ran off to play!”
Yuanyuan wagged his tail and barked. Although he could not understand the words, he gave a response. Liang Wenle had imagined getting off the plane and surprising Ye Lin with a romantic candlelight dinner followed by an intimate night together. Instead, none of it had happened, and he wanted to call Ye Lin to give him a piece of his mind.
“So annoying!” Liang Wenle muttered. He felt Yuanyuan struggling in his arms and let him go. The dog immediately dashed toward the door and barked joyfully. A moment later, the door swung open, and Ye Lin appeared, drenched in sweat and breathing heavily.
At the first sight of him, Liang Wenle wanted to stand up, but he reminded himself not to seem too eager. He remained seated and wore a sullen expression. Fearing the young master’s temper, Ye Lin sprinted over to flatter him.
“Wenle, I only went out because I had business to attend to.”
“I hate you. All you do is make excuses!”
“But I ran back the moment I got your call. You did not tell me you were coming back early. If I had known, I would have picked you up at the airport.”
“Where did you go?”
Hearing the panic in the voice of Ye Lin, Liang Wenle felt a surge of satisfaction. He felt loved.
“I was just out for some fresh air. It was too stuffy in the house.”
“Is that so? You did not flirt with any girls on the street, did you?”
“Of course not! I can swear an oath!”
“Then swear that you will never look at anyone but me, or else you will be struck by lightning.”
“Fine!” Ye Lin thought. Swearing was easy; it was just a big promise to coax a spoiled brat. He half-knelt and made the gesture of an oath, echoing the words of Liang Wenle with feigned sincerity. “I swear I will never look at anyone but Wenle, or may I be struck by lightning and die a miserable death. From now on, Wenle is my sky and my earth.”
“Alright, stop with those tacky pick-up lines!” Liang Wenle laughed and covered the mouth of Ye Lin. He suddenly felt as if he were the Earth and had finally captured a moon that revolved only around him. In a universe this vast, there was actually a Ye Lin who lived and died for him.
“So, Wenle, are you still angry?” Ye Lin asked softly. Now that he had invested in Fanxing, he needed capital and could not afford to offend his employer.
“I am still angry!” Liang Wenle replied. To him, Ye Lin looked like a rabbit with its ears drooping, nuzzling him cautiously. He looked so cute that Liang Wenle wanted to hug, squeeze, and kiss him.
“Then what can I do to make you stop being angry?” Ye Lin looked piteously at him while lightly gripping the edge of the sleeve of Liang Wenle.
“If you kiss me, my anger might go away.”
“Then let me shower first. I am all sweaty and I smell. You will be disgusted by me.”
As Ye Lin stood up to head to the bathroom, Liang Wenle grabbed his wrist and pulled him back into his lap. Without a word, he leaned down and kissed him with intense emotion. In that moment, he was not a pampered young master but a starving man who had finally tasted fresh porridge. He wanted to consume it all.
Ye Lin could not find his strength and could only grip the hand of Liang Wenle. He did not understand why the normally fastidious young master would lunge at him while he was covered in sweat. It was as if he were possessed. But if it meant Liang Wenle was no longer angry, so be it. Making money was never easy.
When they finally pulled apart, Ye Lin was gasping for air. Liang Wenle looked at his face and reached for his buttons. Ye Lin, remembering that the bastard Shen Shao had likely left marks, quickly pinned the hands of Liang Wenle down with a look of feigned terror.
“Wenle, my injuries just healed. Let us not do this.”
“It has been plenty of time. You are definitely fine by now,” Liang Wenle insisted, leaning in to kiss him while trying to move his hands.
Ye Lin covered himself desperately, trembling with guilt. “But it really hurts! I will die!”
Being soft-hearted, Liang Wenle saw him shaking and softened his tone. “You are not dead yet. I am telling you, I have studied properly this time. I will not hurt you.”
Recalling the terrible technique of Liang Wenle, Ye Lin shook his head frantically. “No, I am really afraid of the pain. Wenle, let us take it one step at a time, slowly.”
Liang Wenle had been stubborn since he was a child. The more he was told no, the more he wanted to do it. Besides, he felt his previous failure was embarrassing and needed to prove his prowess as a man. “You are the one who got me worked up! It is your fault! I do not care, I want to today!”
Ye Lin was at his wit’s end. One more round with this kid and he would lose ten years of his life. But he could not let him get angry. He had to try another way.
“Wenle, why do we not just help each other like this? It makes us both happy.”
The face of Liang Wenle fell. “I am not happy.”
Ye Lin suddenly admired actors who could cry on cue. He knew Liang Wenle was a soft touch. If he could cry now, he could definitely get away with it. But he could not squeeze out a single tear. He settled for acting humble and nuzzling the hand of Liang Wenle. “Wenle, I am begging you. Give me some time to recover. It has only been ten days, and I am still traumatized. I am really scared.”
Seeing the fear in his eyes, Liang Wenle rubbed his hair. “Fine. Then use this to help me.” He did not say it out loud, but he looked pointedly at the lips of Ye Lin.
Ye Lin knew exactly what he meant. He really did not want to do this for a man because it was stomach-turning. But he had to follow along. He moved gently, like unwrapping a gift. It felt heavy. He felt as if he had moved from the sofa to the front of a furnace, his face and nose scorched by the flames. He was genuinely afraid of getting burned.
He instinctively tried to pull away, but Liang Wenle let out a dissatisfied sound, so he returned to the task. At first, it was hard to accept, and his movements were clumsy. But Liang Wenle did not complain. Instead, he gripped the sofa cushion and stared directly at the face of Ye Lin. He did not seem to mind the slow pace.
Ye Lin looked up and saw the head of Liang Wenle bowed. His ears were bright red as he tried to endure the sensation. He looked like he was being bullied, which Ye Lin found highly entertaining. Usually, he was the one being tortured by Liang Wenle; now it was time for some payback.
Ye Lin thought that the bastard young master finally had his day, so he became a bit more mischievous. Having dealt with Gu Jiazhi and Shen Shao, his technique was now highly polished. Dealing with a novice like Liang Wenle was effortless.
Soon, Liang Wenle began to change. But having some experience now, he did not lose control easily. Ye Lin wanted to end it quickly, so after a moment of hesitation, he decided to go all out and try something he had never done before.
“Ye Lin, you,” Liang Wenle started as his breath hitched. He reached out to touch the hair of Ye Lin and then his earlobe. From his vantage point, the lips of Ye Lin were small and delicate, and his eyes were like a rippling lake in spring. It was captivating. Ye Lin appeared greedy and could take in so much. It was as if he were a small hamster eating something larger than itself.
Liang Wenle felt happy and touched his cheek in encouragement. Ye Lin noticed the guy was getting more and more excited with no sign of stopping. He could not hold on much longer and intended to stop, but Liang Wenle suddenly found his second wind and began to toss him around.
Ye Lin’s throat was incredibly uncomfortable. He wanted to curse Liang Wenle, but he could not make a sound. Liang Wenle was selfish, completely ignoring the feelings of others when he was focused on his own pleasure.
“You are so good at this!” Liang Wenle exclaimed. “You always know these new ways to please me. I was not going to forgive you today. I was going to forbid you from talking to me, but you did this.”
Liang Wenle kept talking while occasionally offering a bit of comfort. Eventually, he let Ye Lin go. The eyes of Ye Lin were heavy, and he could barely open them.
“I cannot see!” Ye Lin cried out. He reached frantically for a tissue to wipe his face. Liang Wenle helped him clean up with a wet wipe. “Can you see now?”
Ye Lin opened his eyes and saw the flushed, happy face of Liang Wenle. He sighed in relief. “Wenle, I am going to shower and rest.”
Liang Wenle pulled him into a hug, holding him like a giant stuffed animal. “No, you are not allowed to go.”
Ye Lin sighed, letting the young master have his way. After a while, Liang Wenle seemed to regain all his energy.
“What have you been doing at home these past few days?”
“Just playing games until dawn, waking up at noon to eat, walking Yuanyuan, then riding my motorcycle around, and coming back at night to sleep.”
“That motorcycle is hideous. Why do you not drive the cars in my garage? Just ask the butler for the keys.”
“No, I like riding. It is more comfortable.”
“Fine, but it is so ugly! I will buy you a new one.”
“Wenle, you are so good to me.”
Having secured a new motorcycle, Ye Lin became even more sycophantic. Liang Wenle spent the rest of the time gossiping about his relatives, giving them all different nicknames and insulting them in various ways. He loved having someone take his side unconditionally and praised Ye Lin for being a good conversationalist.
Ye Lin eventually asked about Gu Jiazhi. “Did your friends not want you to make up with him? When is the party?”
“Tomorrow. It is just a simple dinner on the yacht of a friend. I do not really want to apologize to him. I hope he has the sense to talk to me first.”
The simple dinner turned out to be a massive party on a three-story yacht, which was like a floating white castle. It had everything: a pool, a dance hall, a cinema, and even a helipad. Liang Wenle was the guest of honor. Ye Lin stood beside him in a pale blue suit, decked out in jewelry worth tens of millions. He finally looked like he belonged in this circle. He walked with his head held high, like a fox accompanying a tiger.
Gu Jiazhi saw them from a distance and immediately wanted to leave. His friend Lin Hong stopped him. “Hey, give us some face. We set this up specifically for you and Wenle to make up.”
Gu Jiazhi was fuming. “I have nothing to say to a love-brain like Liang Wenle!”
“Ah, so you are mad that he likes Ye Lin,” Lin Hong realized. “I do not get it either. Why does he like that bastard? He is just a piece of trash, like a maggot in a gutter!”
Before his brain could even process the words, Gu Jiazhi turned his glass over and poured the wine over the head of Lin Hong. “If you cannot speak properly, get surgery to seal that dog mouth of yours!”
“Fuck!” Lin Hong screamed. “Gu Jiazhi, are you out of your mind? What did I even say!”
The commotion drew the attention of everyone, including Liang Wenle. Lin Hong tried to swing at Gu Jiazhi, but Gu Jiazhi easily shoved him back. Lin Hong crashed into a pyramid of champagne glasses. Shards of glass sliced into his body, and blood began to pool on the floor. Guests screamed and backed away.
Gu Jiazhi wanted to keep attacking, but people held him back. “Jiazhi, what happened? Why are you hitting him?”
Lin Hong pointed a bloody finger and shouted, “Gu Jiazhi, you idiot! I just called Ye Lin a piece of trash! It is the truth! He looks like a slut. Who knows how many men he has fooled and how much of the money of Wenle he has stolen!”
Liang Wenle, who had been about to play peacemaker, stopped. “What did you say about Ye Lin?”
Lin Hong realized Liang Wenle was right in front of him and his voice dropped. “Wenle, I was joking. Everyone knows you like him. Do not be mad.”
Liang Wenle stepped on the stomach of Lin Hong and pressed down hard. He did not stop even when Lin Hong began to spit up blood. His face went pale as his internal organs were compressed. The eyes of Liang Wenle were cold, as if he were looking at a corpse. Unlike the explosive violence of Gu Jiazhi, Liang Wenle was quiet and preferred to watch people suffer.
“You know I never stay friends with people who have foul mouths.”
“Wenle, I was wrong. Please, have mercy.”
No one dared to step in now. They just stood by in silence. Ye Lin, seeing Lin Hong on the verge of death, found Liang Wenle terrifying. He preferred the straightforward punches of Gu Jiazhi to this slow torture.
“Ye Lin, I am sorry!” Lin Hong cried out while coughing up more blood. “I should not have called you that. I am the trash! I am the piece of shit! Please, spare me!”
Ye Lin was shaken by the sight. He grabbed the arm of Liang Wenle. “Wenle, he knows he is wrong. Let him go. We are here to have fun. Do not let a loser like this ruin the mood.”
Only then did others find the courage to help. Liang Wenle lifted his foot and let them carry Lin Hong away to clean the yacht. Ye Lin realized once again just how much power Liang Wenle held.
Liang Wenle turned to Gu Jiazhi and handed him a glass of wine. “Since you spoke up for Ye Lin today, let us make up. There was no need to fight anyway.”
Gu Jiazhi did not take the glass. He looked at the trembling Ye Lin. “Your boyfriend looks scared. Are you not going to comfort him?”
Liang Wenle looked at Ye Lin. “You were scared?”
Ye Lin waved his hands. “No! You were standing up for me, Wenle. I could not be happier!”
Liang Wenle laughed. He loved how Ye Lin always knew exactly what to say to please him.
“Sycophant. Lapdog,” Gu Jiazhi muttered.
Ye Lin felt the tension ease and snapped back, “You are so annoying. Is it wrong for me to make Wenle happy?”
“Exactly,” Liang Wenle added. “He makes me happy. Why are you mocking him?”
Gu Jiazhi finished the wine in one gulp. “I am going to get some air. My mood is ruined.”
Liang Wenle led Ye Lin to the center of a stage surrounded by roses and gifts. Golden lights shone on Ye Lin like he was a treasure pulled from a vault. A band began to play a romantic tune. Under the silver moonlight and falling confetti, Liang Wenle bowed and kissed the back of the hand of Ye Lin.
“You must always remember this day. It is a very important one.”
“I will not forget,” Ye Lin replied, his mind busy estimating the value of the gifts.
Liang Wenle had not officially confessed, but everyone knew this was his way of declaring his love for Ye Lin. He pulled Ye Lin into a kiss. This time, it was gentle, like a vow. It felt less like a party and more like a wedding in a sacred cathedral. When he finally let go, Liang Wenle stared at Ye Lin for a long time. He felt incredibly happy. He had finally found a pure love.
After parading around the yacht to show off their relationship, Liang Wenle was pulled away by friends. Ye Lin took the chance to slip away to the quiet stern of the ship. He watched the moonlight on the dark blue water and thought about Shen Shao. He hoped Liang Wenle would stop liking Shen Shao soon. If the truth ever came out, he did not want to be the one lying in a pool of blood like Lin Hong.
“Why are you not with Liang Wenle?”
Ye Lin turned to see Gu Jiazhi.
“You know he is a handful. I slipped out for a break.”
“Heh. You looked like you were enjoying yourself just now. Now you are complaining? How fake.”
“Look, Gu Jiazhi, did you eat a bowl of nails or something? I know I was mean to you before. I am sorry, okay?” Ye Lin patted his shoulder. “You know it is all an act. Why are you being so cynical?”
“It looks to me like you are enjoying the act quite a bit. That day on the phone,” Gu Jiazhi started, but he could not finish the sentence.
“Oh, the phone call!” Ye Lin sighed, finally feeling he could vent to a friend. “It was not even Wenle. I was set up! It is infuriating!”
“What did you say?”
